Quit drinking recently. Wow what a change and far easier than I though. I had no idea how much money, time, energy and thought I put into it. I also give up cocaine as I only took it when I was drunk to keep the party going. Ain't much of a party when your dragging your face to the toilet to poke in the morning.
hawk24fit (3 years ago)
Cool. Yeah I don't drink much, like I used to. And now when I do, I'm good but the next day I'm lazy. And when I play basketball, my equilibrium is a little off lol. Other than that I can function, but I can tell the difference in performance of sports. Plus I got shyt to do. BUT imma get that earl Stevens drink lol, support the cali rapper, entrepreneur. And make it happen.
James Swanwick (2 years ago)
+hawk24fit Reduce or quit alcohol and watch the difference. :)

I barely drink at all these days and never drink when I'm out in a social environment. That first time sober for a big night out is a massive eye-opener, like James said people just act like idiots and say stupid embarrassing shit they'd never say if they were sober. To girls especially. That same girl most of the guys are trying to impress by surrendering their dignity (while they think they're being smooth) wants to talk to the sober guy instead because he's quietly confident, calm and collected. The only problem is that same girl you'd have probably put on a pedestal if you were drunk now comes across to you like a gibbering embarrassment to herself who may vomit over you at any second. Such is life haha

Alcohol is one of the worst recreational drugs that you can take and has a very negative effect as far as optimum strength and making gainz goes
James Swanwick (2 years ago)
+stevied2k10 I agree.

one last post.  Does any one know of natural health alternative to help me with my liquid courage?  I tend to over think and am very self conscious, very inhibited and boring,  without a drink or being high I'm not sure I'm a fun person.  Do you have any advice for me and those alike.  I'm head to LA, can someone hook me up with some Medical 420
grab the sky (3 years ago)
wow TakeThe RedPill.  Well put, and thank you
TakeThe RedPill (3 years ago)
+grab the sky Work on your inner strength (yeah sounds corny I know lol). Whatever you think of yourself will project onto the people you interact with so if you think you're self conscious, inhibited and boring that's how you'll come across to others. Try meditation or taking cold showers. If you're on this channel there's a strong chance you already work out but if not start. Getting drunk or high can sometimes feel like it's making you a fun person but can often simply serve to magnify any insecurities you have, rather than getting rid of them it can actually all come pouring out after a few drinks. 'Drunk words are sober thoughts' as they say. All the best man.

what about Wine, the Bible say 1 Timothy 5:23  23Don’t drink only water. You ought to drink a little wine for the sake of your stomach because you are sick so often.
Good thing I never drank alcohol in my life.

30 days ain't shit, try maybe 100 days,it should be more difficult. Unless you drink more than you should, than it's up to you
TheChase008 (3 years ago)
I think you should do more vids with James Brandon. You two make a great team. I'm with James though. I think you should open up more to the idea that you of all people don't need alcohol. You're an inspiring personality and what I've always gotten from your vids is that we should all strive to become stronger , both mentally as well as physically. So lead the way through example Brandon and open your mind to the idea that you really don't need alcohol and set an example for your viewers. And yes I gave up drinking years ago , but only because I came to the conclusion that it was totally unnecessary and not beneficial in any way. You two are hilarious together ........... please do more vids together in the future. Great job to both of you.

I know this question hasn't anything to do with this videos subject, but are really wondering about something, and surely the best place to ask is on the newest video. My quick question: When people say doing an workout like squats everyday, do they then really mean every single day? (Mon-Sun) or is in just meant as in every workout day? (Mon-Wed-Fri for example) Also, I know you can squat every day as you've done videos on before, but is it recommended to also try full body workout everyday (Mon-Sun) too? This may be a dumb question, but I don't care if I look like a fool :P Keep up the amazing things you're doing Brandon! *brofist*

Oden Raine (3 years ago)
+BogdansFitTV and do you still not drink?  I've HEARD (not researched) alcohol can linger/affect you for up to 3 weeks after a night of drinking....ugh, that's why I role up!

Take a nootropic stack before socializing. Something that makes you sharp and feel smooth. Way better.
ej1692 (3 years ago)
+Alen Georgeson look into kratom. especially the fast strains.
TakeThe RedPill (3 years ago)
+Nerian Interesting, thanks for sharing. I googled l-theanine and noticed a lot of people were taking it for anxiety and stress related disorders. All the reviews were positive though and apparently it's a key component of green tea. I'm always a bit cautious of anything like that though in case of developing a mild dependency, for example you go out and have the best time of your life on it and after that you feel you need to take some whenever you go out or you don't feel yourself.
Nerian (3 years ago)
+Alen Georgeson Nah start real simple. 100mg caffeine and 200mg l-theanine. The l-theanine takes away the caffeine gitters and leaves you smooth and alert. It's a well known stack, you can look it up to find variations. You can't use it all the time though. But once or twice a week for going out would be good. Then experiment with racetams and other aminos, but NOT noopept. And look at whole brain health as a long term thing to work on, omega-3 and such. As an aside, I heard something long time ago that made me never touch phenibut but I can't remember what is was.
Alen Georgeson (3 years ago)
+Nerian Any suggestions? I've heard good things about phenibut?
Brandon Brown (3 years ago)
What's good Brandon? Question : I've read the Ultimate Mass and started doing the full body workout to failure. All my sets are with different weights(i.e. 1st set 35 dumbell, 2nd 30 and so forth because if I get 8 reps on the first and use the same weight I'll only get 3 on the subsequent ones) the only consistent one for me is squats. Should I do the 35 8 times, then 3 the second set and following sets, or start with a lower weight, or continue to have varying sets?
Armando Koz (3 years ago)
So if I wanna gain weight should I just get drunk? Haha
Armando Koz (3 years ago)
Just 30 days without alcohol? You're proud of that ? Lol that's nothing
HAHAHA YAASSSS, Go Vegan BBC :D! The amount of respect and value I would gain for you, on top of the already high platform I see you at, is insane! I already think your one the best and well educated in this fitness industry, one of the very few, and going vegan will just prove it even more ^-^. Great interview, too, I like these videos where we get to meet so many different people and personalities with unique stories. You've really got some diverse friends and connections! Thanks for the vid!

GotGame (3 years ago)
In many asian countries, no drink no business
GotGame (3 years ago)
+James Swanwick Hi James, the drink culture is a social norm in China and Japan. I understand the fact that it is best to quit alcohol, but it is impossible if you are a businessman in China. In China, people get their business deals done in restaurant (of course drinking), unlike here in America that business contacts are discussed in offices. It is just a culture thing. I agree with you that quitting alcohol brightens your life mentally and physically.
James Swanwick (3 years ago)
+GotGame That's true. Which ones specifically?
Nightfly (3 years ago)
Luckily I'm not a big drinker full stop. You're lucky if I have a couple of beers every few months.
Oden Raine (3 years ago)
+Trev I don't think I'm any more or less lucky with you not drinking.  lol, same here T, it really serves NO purpose outside of internal bodily harm!
James Swanwick (3 years ago)
+Trev Good way to live.
When you off to London Brandon?

Merijn (3 years ago)
BBC, How much do you actually weigh? Just wondering man, wanna get cut up like you but not sure if I got enough muscle mass yet.
Merijn (3 years ago)
+Tyler Lewis True but hey, I'm pretty sure we all wish like we looked like BBC
Tyler Lewis (3 years ago)
+D Nedo Brandon Carter prob looks a little skinnier or leaner off camera. The camera adds about 10-20 lbs.
Oden Raine (3 years ago)
I dunno bout legs, but if he's 187 at 6'2" I would GUESS they are proportionate. does the guy you know have any muscle mass?  I'm the same weight as the guy a few offices down, 205, he is skinny fat and I'm lookin a little svelt!  there's prolly a 2" difference in our arms in my favor, and in his favor, 4+" larger waist  look at the top pic: http://www.capitalfm.co.ke/lifestyle/2015/02/19/whats-a-healthy-body-fat-percentage/
drseparator (3 years ago)
+D Nedo because i know a guy that is 6' 2 and weighs 187Ibs and he doesn't look like that, he's quite skinnier. I don't know, i can't see his legs, maybe the legs are skinnier, and all the mass is in his upper body, but usually guys that look like this weigh about the same as their height, - 100. I mean, i don't mean to talk thrash, i love the guy's videos, i just think he weighs a bit more(that is, if he is 188cm).
Oden Raine (3 years ago)
+drseparator why do you think that?  I'm 6'2" 205 at around 12% bf...when I hit <9-10% I should be lingering around 185ish (??)...homie is holding less than 8% bf with significant musle mass.  compare BC to Greg O'Gallagher who is around 5'10" and under 170...there's a huge size difference!
Brian B (3 years ago)
I get wasted 1 day a week. I dont see any difference fam

KyleBJobey (3 years ago)
Yo, I come from Denmark, where Alcohol is literally the fundament of all social activity. I drink just as James does. At least every friday and saturday, as that is the norm when you go out. Even mid-week if I am chilling in the good weather, a six pack or two will go down. But I find this interesting, so I'ma do it. No alcohol until my birthday (6th of August) - I have a week in a summer cottage with my friends where booze is drunk in masses, so that'll be the ultimate test of my determination! Wish me luck!
BrianS/OTuireann (1 year ago)
