It's so unprofessional to do product placements in an informative video. I'm referring to that special mention of Empire Tailor. That's very unprofessional, Bloomberg

Whitey Got Blacked (1 day ago)
Even metropolises around the world have varying population densities. If u can stand living in nyc more than a year u wont last g month in hk. Otherwise there plenty of other cities even americas like toronto, boston phildalphia etc. That are nowhere near as dense.

My aunts went to Hong Kong and they said it was super small. Would go to Singapore instead.

There is no other city quite like HK. Such incredible history and culture. And FOOD! Go for the food alone!

Hong Kong will only continue to get more popular as Asia becomes more dominant and Western migration to Asia continues. I predict in the next 200 years every Asian country will have a sizable Western minority population and Asia will surpass the rest of the world in terms of wealth and development.

It fine for now, the future of Hong Kong is questionable once the prc takes over in 2047. Many of the wealthy are moving their assets to other safer locations to hedge their bets.

LSSJ (3 months ago)
Cool city but seems very artificially blown up by money. I hate cities where normal people cant live normally anymore. It seems to be making all the mistakes London made. After all its built based on the British mentality. I prefer Singapore or Bangkok or maybe even Tokyo.
saikono (27 days ago)
LSSJ Normal people CAN live in HK. This video is only showing the 'city centre' aka the most developed place of Hong Kong. Where I live is like the 'countryside' and it is totally different. When I say countryside it doesn't means it's full of trees and like a farm, it is still a normal town but without those flashly lights, fancy building and expensive looking restaurants. But one thing that do makes it difficult to live in HK is the price of housing tho, but it's fine if you managed to get a government provided apartment.
John C (3 months ago)
From the video title I assumed it would be about upcoming or recently developed neighborhood. Situated right at the harbour, TST has been “hottest” for decades already, hence all the underdeveloped pictures shown here are in black and white.

Amiga A1200 Do you know the judicial system of HK is different from China. This can be kept until 2047. Did u know the former HK Chief Executive is in jail now? Can u imagine Xi Jing Ping or some top mgt official in jail? of course not. so corruption in HK is not bad.

It's very weird to separate Hong Kong Island and Kowloon as two places (which actually they're). The fact that Tsim Sha Tsui or the Kowloon Peninsula was developed is because the signing of the treaty of Peking, which ceased Kowloon Peninsula to the British. Nowadays, both Hong Kong Island & Kowloon Peninsula are extremely crowded (especially Kowloon, according to government census, the population density is higher than Hong Kong Island). Hong Kong mainly develop New Territories to solve the problem, not Kowloon.
Patrick Kong (3 months ago)
I'm a resident in Hong Kong. If anything, I personally do not recommend going to aqua HK or the Chinese restaurant before that. This is due to astronomically high prices there and sure you may argue that the view is nice, you can go to tst harbour and soak up the view there either by the traditional ferry which costs next to nothing or just standing there and absorbing the view as well as the fresh smell of the sea. Hong Kong is a nice place to stay but just beware of the heat and the density of the area, if you do come to Hong Kong, I would recommend visiting places like Mong Kok or Causeway bay if you would like to shop for either normal or high end brands. Have a good one.
Ramón (20 days ago)
I had dinner last christmas eve at the Aqua Spirit, It was one of the most expensive restaurants I’ve ever been to in my life. While the food was definitely outstanding, and the view is insanely beautiful, I surely have to agree with you that there’s plenty more options for a better price and great food as well. I’d only recommend to go to the bar and have a drink there.
文子MtzCherry (3 months ago)
sad that the video didn't mention much about the cultural stuff we can find in TST and only focus on the price...
tocrob (3 months ago)
文子MtzCherry - but is it unique? The price is unique because HK is among the most expensive. A public golf course with stunning views in HK (Kau Sai Chau) is definitely unique ... https://youtu.be/sZDP7rCv160

The rapidly rising Hong Kong air pollution has recently become a major issue, and Hong Kong has quickly become one of the worst polluted places on earth. In addition to emissions from its local motor vehicles, marine vessels and power plants, Hong Kong's air pollution is mainly contributed by deadly air pollution from mainland China.
