It is interesting how his great-great-grandfather George Bool was ahead of his time when his work about Boolean Algebra was build on a basis of a model of how the mind works, which for him was logic. After around 150 years his direct ancestor Geoffrey Hinton pursues the goal to understand how the mind works and then goes ahead of his time by revolutionizing Artificial Intelligence. The world did indeed catch up once, but he is still ahead as he keeps pushing the field with new work like Capsule Neural Networks.

AI has collected so much data from users that it can trick and control people for the future to come. Humans can not run many simultaneous processes as AI can, The main cons are going to be those who have administrative access to AI.

these people have probably never seen what AI has done, AI is bound to repeat what machines and factories did before, make humans more irrelevant, but that's out job, to make our lives as easy as possible, there is no reason an AI would want to destroy its creators. If an AI is created to invent ideas, then it will, and the public will be able to use this to their advantage, if the AI is giving internet access it knows that inventing things makes its creators happy. If you put a human in a box and told him, this button will give you unlimited power, what would he do? He would, first obviously use it to his advantage FIRST, then he knows, because it's the purpose of life to ensure your species survival, he would benifit humanity. not destroy it. AI isn't another species, it's just humanity in a box. They will be from the beginning and to the end, pro-human.
