Holes at base between block may attract animals wanting to stay warm. Then chew on everything in sight
ArizonaHotHomestead (9 months ago)
yes. mice, rats and rabbits. lol. so far no damage.

If thats a J Bolt, how did you get the "J" through the hole? Or is it just a straight bolt?
ArizonaHotHomestead (1 year ago)
j bolt. I was able to put the bolt in the block hole under the 2x4 and then up through the hole in the 2x4, what a pain. some easy but some was tough. I think if I did it again I would figure out where to drill the hole first and do so. build the wall on the side putting the j bolt in the bottom 2x4 with the nut on the j bolt so when I lifted the wall onto the blocks the j bolt would nicely fit within the block.     great question.

Oh I see now

How is the bottom plate attached to the cinder blocks?

I Learned a few nice tips like the 20 amp to the shed itself. great tips thank you. So i assume there is no frost line if you use level block for foundation and did the J bolt deal with concrete? man that is just awesome im thinkin i gotta get out that way, lol.
A Headsup (2 years ago)
right on good to know thanks
ArizonaHotHomestead (2 years ago)
yes frost line is 18 inches down but for this little shed I didn't think a real foundation mattered. just wanted a way to keep the pump from freezing.  glad you got something out of the video.
opps you can install a 90° fitting at your fill if you run in too trouble with filling the tank
ArizonaHotHomestead (2 years ago)
look at you with the ideas.. thanks. I like that one.

Hey Brother, are you anywhere near the great Show Low Arizona Wild Fire? I sure Pray that you are not. It is a big threat for Arizona Residents that are near to it.

hi
ArizonaHotHomestead (2 years ago)
thanks for the prayers. you are so kind
anAHDAMofYAH (2 years ago)
So glad to hear you are currently out of harms way. You are in my prayers for safety, & all the other poor Arizonans that are not fairing as well as you. GBY

its over 40 miles sw of me. the fire is actually heading south and east so the evacuation trigger point is 9 miles south of showlow for showlow and the fire was .5 mile to it but since has gone south. I am another 25 miles from showlow so I am not worried. thanks.  fire threat was one concern when I bought the property I wanted to be as protected as possible from most fires.
you need too turn your tank if you wont to use your hose fill lol kinked hoses dont flow too good just a thought to save you when you go to fill
ArizonaHotHomestead (2 years ago)
you are so right . :)
oo i hate finding things after you get things done too but im happy you dont have a problem with the fill your doing a great job keep up the great work
ArizonaHotHomestead (2 years ago)
to late. that tank aint moving. it is in the ground plus has over 3k gallon of water. plus the drain is directly below the intake so only way really is to run the drain line out longer but I don't want to remove that tree. so far filling the take hasn't been a problem. thanks it is something to consider
Very nice set up. Good to see such a good explanation.
It's really hard to shield an RV, from what I have heard. I have gone back to the bed in the main room, with a shielding canopy over it and that is where I spend most of my time. I did this in my last place. It's not ideal, but it really helps.

well thank you so much. would like  a faraday cage for you electric stuff help with your is it reaction to the emp? maybe an insulated faraday cage. I don't know just a thought.

You should do some T-1 Eleven Cement Board siding. It's a little Pricey but it last's forever doesn't ever rot and is an Amazing insulator.
