T-mobile $30 plan is gone forever 😭😭
Nvdasmth1 (1 год назад)
Virgin Sprint has Unlimited 4G Talk Text. T Mobile gives you an Unlocked Phone after 3 Months on new NC 5 a month plan. They are all following Virgin all in one Pricing.; Verizon wont budge. At&t giving incentives. adn payment option on all phones as T Mobile.PC Metro on T Mobile towers. Virgin has discounts on SAMSUNG and I Phone better than all of them.

I had cricket for yearssss, no problem, THEN it became AT$T... it is a shame! AT$T has been selling my number to companies because I keep getting calls from numbers I do not know and this started to happen when AT"$"T bought cricket. "FN" AT$T should give me free service for selling me out. I get harassed by unknown numbers and AT$T makes money from it... aagghh!! I just now bought a Virgin mobile phone and I will be doing the virgin plan. Fuck you AT"$"T !!

What would be the best non-prepaid plan? I almost never use phone calls and texting.

Trevor Schauer (1 год назад)
well, I don't know about all that...but I have boost mobile. occasionally I drop a call, but I always have service, even out in the Sierra Nevada mountains. A few Times I was the only one with service (version, metro pcs, and virgin mobile). I have unlimited everything including hotspot for $45 a month plus tax. My roommate uses about 70-80 gigs a month streaming movies on his laptop and I use about 10-20 myself. Not to mention everybody likes to use my hotspot. To be honest for a while I though boost fucked up...but no they offered me a special deal and now I'm locked in! suckas! when the offered me this deal I was using about 12 gigs or so....which sucks because when boost slows down your data it's not to 3g like others, they slow down to 2g...I'm serious....I might as well make my own porn because it'd be faster....

Have you done a review for prepaid phones on 2017?
Asian Geek Squad (1 год назад)
No, not yet. Winter is making us lazy. Soon. =)
Jess Barnett (1 год назад)
So for $30.00, does it have Visual Voicemail and Wifi-Calling for that feature on T-Mobile?
Asian Geek Squad (1 год назад)
+MegaDon X Awesome - they must have updated that!
Brandon (1 год назад)
Asian Geek Squad incorrect, I have the $30 plan and I use visual voicemail just fine. on their website it also says this plan has wifi calling.
Asian Geek Squad (1 год назад)
No, you don't get those features on pre-paid.
Supreme_Xo (1 год назад)
Don't forget to consider Mint SIM, or RingPlus. :) AMAZING

hi im looking for my first smartphone. so when u say data does that mean the internet. is cricket owned by att. is sprint any good.
Asian Geek Squad (1 год назад)
Yes, data is the internet on the phone. Cricket is not owned by AT&T, but uses AT&T connection.
David Gonzalez (1 год назад)
so is it 199$ a month cuz thats what i heard . or 17$ a month
David Gonzalez (1 год назад)

@Republic Wireless is a great Option too.

Maybe you mis-Quoted when you said Red Pocket mobile was $200/month? The only thing certain is that the various Mobile plans change on a regular basis!
900Yugo (2 года назад)
I use NET10. Provides service on all 4 carriers. You can even switch between carriers with no hassle while keeping your service plan!
Charles Davis (2 года назад)
MetroPCS $60/month. Unlimited talk, text, data...the best
Steel598 (11 месяцев назад)
Charles Davis I was a bout to say that! I am fixing to switch actually! Wonder why he skipped them. MetroPCS for $30 gives you unlimited talk and text, with 2 gigs of high speed data, and then unlimited slow after that. killer.
Neno Sorrell (1 год назад)
Service suck tho
Nvdasmth1 (1 год назад)
too expensive for that much Verizon has better Rural Coverage and Into Mt Regions ( ALL TELL SYSTEM off cellular 1,now AT&T why Verizon has best coverage. VIRGIN Mobile ,Started it all.all fees Include has Pissed many off.Why Would Sir Branson sell to Sprint now has second best free Roaming and Rural Coveraeg.Cricket works off T Mobile and Sprint Towers.
D. Page (1 год назад)
but do you get unlimited data on prepaid for T-Mobile?
Blueshadow951 (2 года назад)
Charles Davis but few phones , 15$ more n you get T-Mobile
Thoi Phan (2 года назад)
I'm looking for sims card with the lowest fee. Honestly, I never call people, I just need a phone number to register, receive phone calls. Is there any plan which you can only buy the sims card (without anything inside) just to receive call ?? (My phone is ATT)
Ericamerica Americo (1 год назад)
What would be perfect for you is Google Voice.......it is free......and you can receive calls but not answer them.........also you can make calls within USA.....for free using a computer........Remember you cannot answer the call.....when people call you it goes directly to voice mail. When you Sing Up.....you are assigned a phone number.....so it is not a physical telephone and this one is the reason why you cannot answer the calls.........If you really need to answer calls.....what you can do is forward the calls to a real telephone (landline or cellphone) and answer using those telephones......also for free......Your welcome.....not need to mention.
Asian Geek Squad (2 года назад)
Unfortunately, plans aren't made like that anymore. Even for pre-paid, if you didn't want a monthly plan, you would have to add money to receive a phone call. GoPhone charges 25 cents a minute for phone calls (whether you receive it or call someone). In Europe its free to receive calls - its the caller who pays.

I do not get it. Prepaid is supposed to have no plan.
900Yugo (1 год назад)
NET10 is prepaid and they have monthly plans.
Blah Blah (1 год назад)
I agree , this isn't "prepaid". it is still a plan as far as I am concerned. Tracphone is prepaid.
900Yugo (2 года назад)
OK, your definition of "plan" is postpaid. Prepaid phone service do have plans just like postpaid but without the contract. You pay before you use service. Service duration is 30 days. After which, you need to add credit to your account or service shuts off.
Asian Geek Squad (2 года назад)
+marc benjamin No... prepaid just means you pay upfront... if you don't have funds in your account when its time to renew it... then you don't have service... yeah... the other way is you use the service and then you pay... but with prepaid there is no contract, so you can just pay for 1 month and stop service.
Mad Dawn (2 года назад)
Yes, it gets to look like you are getting a plan. I assume once you enroll on a plan, then you already have bills. Okay, you paid in advance. But from then on, they'll start billing you month as they do plan subscriber???

Without - though you have to have credits (via pre-paid card OR auto pay) in there when the billing cycle ends or you have no service.

The price per month for the Red Pocket deal isn't bad - but can I go even cheaper than that, using a GSM-unlocked phone? The amount of unthrottled data (500GB) is OK for me, but I don't need that much talk & text. If I were a heavier data user, I would be very tempted by the T-Mobile $30/month 100 min./unlimited texts/5GB data deal. I'm coming from nearly a year with RingPlus (Sprint-based, $0/month -- but ads instead of ringtones on outgoing calls, latency issues, and customer service mainly via its forums), so I have cheap tastes and minimal talk/text usage. The crazy-good deals for Amazon Prime members on the BLU R1 HD and Moto G4 phones are both very tempting as device upgrades -- but the BLU is what I can afford, and it's GSM-only.
DOSBoxMom (2 года назад)
I was leaning towards the 16GB model anyway, and I don't mind the pre-installed Amazon apps and ad content on the lock screens (all that's just like my Fire tablet, but on a device that can make phone calls, too).  Will look up your "first impressions" video on the BLU R1 HD.
Asian Geek Squad (2 года назад)
The BLU R1 HD is a good phone, we just recorded our first impressions and working on a full review. (= Definitely recommended (but I would splurge for the extra $10 and get the 2GB of RAM/16GB version).
D M (2 года назад)
Verizon wireless prepaid has 5 GB with unlimited talk and text for $60, but its the fastest most reliable service. plus you can add 3gb for $20
Asian Geek Squad (2 года назад)
Your right, plans are changing quickly! (= We should post an update soon!
TimeIdle (2 года назад)
I don't see the $199 Redpocket mobile plan on their site. You have to buy it through eBay? What if you're not satisfied, how do you get your $ money back since you have to pay for the whole year?
TimeIdle (2 года назад)
Thank you! You're awesome.
Asian Geek Squad (2 года назад)
Aloha Timeldle, you would have to buy for the year. It is via eBay... Check out their refund policy... We want you to be delighted with your purchase of this prepaid service. If you are not satisfied with your service and it is within 30 days of receiving your starter kit, we will refund your purchase in full. However, if you have consumed more than 30 minutes, 30 texts, or 30MB of data, it will be considered buyer's remorse and a refund will not be available.

Metro PCS Has a good family plan 2 lines 6gigs data for each line free streaming music, hotspot, data slows to 2g after you reach your data limit all sorts of goodies in this plan, for 60 per month, with 2 free phones, each line 30 after.
Warden (2 года назад)
+Nova Fox I have the 60 dollar unlimited plan. And it's truly unlimited, I've seen people use over 200GB of data without being capped... Yeah. MetroPCS is a great cell provider.

tinman (2 года назад)
www.republicwireless.com has the motorolla 3 G its the fourth best prepaid phone out in market its also water resistance. RPWs only has four phones to select from but my phone bill went from 130.00 a month to 29.00 a month for two phones. what ever data you don't use it goes back into your bill my wife doesn't use the data at all , I use it with Wi-Fi and very little with out Wi-Fi . it uses the sprint antenna unlimited talk and text .
Pyramid Head (2 года назад)
I like prepaid plans and all but the thing that I hate about them is you're not getting the best service. I done some research and from what I heard if you go with a more normal plan through the Big carriers (Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile) you get better coverage as the prepaid plans from them or any other company like Boost Mobile you don't get their best coverage. I currently use the Verizon plan from well Verizon obviously lol and I used to be on Boost Mobile I switched for 2 reasons. 1. Better coverage. 2. Better selection of phones. I get 16GB of data unlimited everything else for around 270 for 3 lines 90 of that is for phone payments which we got 3 phones at 30 a piece once they're paid off our bill will be 180 which isn't bad. I see the reason for getting prepaid as for a single line user it will be cheaper but you lose out on some things from what I read. If I'm wrong about the coverage thing please inform me I will keep an eye out to see if I find different information on that buy as far as I read using prepaid you don't get what the normal plans get in coverage.

Of and Metro gives you 8gb of HotSpot
Matt D (2 года назад)
+Dylans VitaReviews I'll have to try that out, my cell phone speeds are better than my home internet at times
Warden (2 года назад)
+Matt D It's no problem. FoxFi also has a wifi hotspot feature, but I think Metro can detect when you're using that so it will use your hotspot data.
Matt D (2 года назад)
I only use Hotspot for my tablet when not home so it's all good. Thanks for the info though
Warden (2 года назад)
+Matt D If you have the 60 dollar MetroPCS plan and want to tether your PC, you can use FoxFi and it wont use your hotspot data.
Matt D (2 года назад)
Metro PCS is $60 for unlimited everything, and no data cap. Lucky I was able to get on the $50 unlimited promo when they had it, so that's all I pay. Some people might say "it's not really unlimited data", I use 50gb a month
Steve M (2 года назад)
Hey guys! Thanks for the video. I live in Lincoln Nebraska, and travel to central Nebraska occationally. I'd like to get away from VZ, and their high prices. Living where I do, what prepaid plan, where you can BYOP, would you suggest? I use much more data, and text, than I call. I currently have an iPhone 6+ (VZ Edge) and nearing my upgrade, but have considered switching back to Android. I appreciate any suggestions you may have.
Steve M (2 года назад)
+Asian Geek Squad I'm a Prime member, and that's what I did brother! But got the 32 GB storage instead of 16. Only about 30 bucks more. Thanks!
Asian Geek Squad (2 года назад)
+Steve Miller If you go Amazon route - http://amzn.to/1NHmWQA just try to buy from Amazon Warehouse (they have a 30 day return policy).  (=
Steve M (2 года назад)
+Asian Geek Squad thanks for the input! Here's what I did, I ordered the smaller Zenwatch 2, used like new, and a used like new Nexus 5x from Amazon. I'll switch my SIM out and see what I think, then maybe make the jump to Project fi ! Or some mvno in the future.
Asian Geek Squad (2 года назад)
+Steve Miller Project Fi is nice, but I switch phones every other month, so its not a service I can use (only usable with Nexus phones).  Cricket uses AT&T's network... if that helps!
Steve M (2 года назад)
+Asian Geek Squad Nice! Hope you enjoyed Omaha! T-Mobile is poor everywhere except Lincoln and Omaha in Nebraska. Thinking about Project fi though with a 5X or 6P since Sprint is good with T-Mo as backup . Will research on Cricket though. Thoughts on Project fi?

Their parent company AT&T's probably protecting their GoPhone business with that speed cap.

T-Mobile is great cause i can binge on youtube, hulu, netflix hbo, espn, mlb.tv, ustream, music apps all without using any of the data allotment
sargentcrackers (2 года назад)
didn't know about tuesday specials, thanks for mentioning! downloading that app now lol

+rockvilleraven That MLB.TV! i definitely take advantage of that and a dbacks fanatic friend uses it too. that's a nice perk actually

Except for the $30 a month 100 min 5GB WalMart plan, but you still get MLB.TV and the Tuesday specialss, just use them where there's WiFi.
wholeNwon (2 года назад)
Just need an occasional-use plan, consider RingPlus totally free BYOD. 120 min, 120 texts and some data. Won't be able to bring those cheap phones you bought and didn't activate with the carrier because you just wanted them for WiFi, GPS, music, etc. after 4/17

I'm switching from tmobile to something else. Their prepaid plan will now add a sales tax every time you refill your card/renew your phone. So... my plan was $50 every month, now it's $58 for refill. Sucks... I think it's only tmobile that charge tax for refill.
