Ugh people bring in food to my work basically daily. Cakes, cupcakes, candies, doughnuts, bagels--you name it, it's there. It's soo hard for me to resist, but I do, most of the time. You can't live with your eyes closed all the time--I find it's easier for me to actively battle the temptation than avoid it. And I definitely feel more accomplished in the end. Keep up the great work. XO

Stay away from meat, cheese and milk! Our bodies aren't ment to process animal! Sugar isn't going to kill you like that stuff will.

Concerning food triggers: my family has all kinds of things in the house that I don't eat. I just build a wall in my head that says, NO! Not ever! This somehow removes the temptation. I also have my own treats I am allowed to eat that I will grab as an alternative. Full disclosure: since the gastric bypass, just about everything upsets my belly anyhow, so that really helps with compliance! Nevertheless, it really is a mind game for me.

block of sharp chedder, bacon, cream cheese, one ounce of sharp is 110 calories, gotta start tracking the calories if the high fat calorie stuff is around. One and half month post op. Nuts is one i wont keep in house either, thinking of just getting small bag , single serving and thats it, might have to get less cheese and high fat meat like bacon and sausage, have been doing 1 slice of reg bacon and 1 slice of turkey bacon, but the cheese is the worst and the best lol. dont do sweets just dont do them. o yeah i like the comment u said about visual food ads, we are gonna get the hopper from dish so we can avoid the food comm. keep up the great work, and dont let the suger get ya.

I love your videos and your positive, encouraging message. I'm 5-months post-op and since the beginning of my journey on 1/26/17, I have lost 154 pounds (in 9 months)! And the only way I could do it is to keep up the constant struggle with a low-carb diet and trying not to put myself down. Thank you for helping me on my way. I also try to help others who come after me by posting Update videos.

Thank you so much for doing these videos, you are such an inspiration to me. I am 2 months out RNY & my husband is 3 months out RNY. We are both trying to navigate this new life. He is struggling to get enough water & protein & I'm sitting in a office 10 hrs a day with all the old temptations :( I really enjoy your positive suggestions. This journey is like going to a foreign country totally new language & foods & habits. God Bless
