At 0:33 the man says, "there's very little air" in his description of Titanic's location, the ocean floor. Now that got me confused. I'm sure the man is more knowledgeable than I am therefore it had me wondering, did I have it wrong my whole life? There's air in water, let alone at the bottom of the ocean? Or did he just make a mistake and what he really meant was oxygen?
Stephan Moore (2 месяца назад)
It controversial, but I really would really consider it grave robbing because the artifacts are being preserved so they will last much longer than if they were still on the floor. They do have to think about all the souls lost that night and have respect for what happened to them.

It amazes me how the pressure at that depth can crush steel like aluminum foil and yet something as fragile as a glass plate or a window pane on the wreck survived
QE2 (2 месяца назад)
The pressure is on every side of the object and glass is solid. It has nowhere to go, that's why it stays intact. The pressure can't crush objects of steel or aluminium either if they haven't any air pockets in them.

These are just stupid Knick Knacks to feed the bread and circuses of the idiotic masses! how come they don't salvage the parts of the ship that will prove or disprove the Olympic theory? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J64ll7rRrzI
Final Destination (1 месяц назад)
It was already disproved by Robert Ballard when he and his team discovered the wreck in 1985. Robin Gardiner just took advantage of the results by manipulating actual evidence and facts when he fabricated his "theory" in 1996, like these: - The number on the propeller is 401 simply because it's Titanic. It's well known that Olympic had her own spare propeller blades. No actual record or other evidence exist that any propeller blade was taken from Titanic for Olympic, only a propeller shaft. And did Titanic set sail with one propeller missing? I don't think so, try to figure out what happened. - the MP-letters on the wreck is clearly a poor CGI. The original expedition video shows the Titanic name. And Olympic's number 400 was found all over the ship they scrapped in 1936- 1937. A lot of sold artifacts from this ship with the number 400 still exist, many of them in the White Swan Hotel in Alnwick, England. No maritime professional or other naval expert takes that "theory" seriously. It exist just because it's legal to tell fairytales. Forget it. I think this is enough to debunk that nonsense: http://www.titanicswitch.com/

they have to save the rest of the items of the ship before the wheck being burried by the sand banks of the plain south of newfoundland where there is many submarine landslides

i think its a shame that we didnt claim as much as we could to preserve, its under the ocean slowly deterioriating. there could have been a very great memorial site made w the ships remnants. imagine what kind of restoration some of the rooms could have seen and all the lost artifacts.

I am pro preservation of titanic artefacts. But i can understand the general concern of family members whose related someone died here. So i think its best to leave the topic to them. If the family members come to unanimous conclusion to bring stuff up. Do it. If not. I respect their opinion. After all for them its not just history. Its their family matters. I dont want disturb them on this subject.

It would be ok if they just took a piece of Titanic... To Preserve its History... But Taking The Clothes of The Dead People... Disrespectful. Respect It.
Ford2219 (5 месяцев назад)
Thank you for doing this! Keeping alive a piece of history for generations to enjoy and learn. Amazing!!

It's weird to take the clothing that a person died in & display them... Showing items like playing cards or watches or ship ornaments is fine but the clothing someone died in, in a VERY horrific way is just a little bit too much.
Valy Menthol (5 месяцев назад)

Bringing up a piece of the ship itself, or something in it is one thing. Bringing up dead passengers' belongings? I'm all for preserving history, but consider how we would feel if in 100 years people were selling pieces of the world trade center.
Krystal Dispatch Bettty Mcginty Carter (8 месяцев назад)
Please stop bringing things up from the Titanic. The wreck, including the "debris field" is a graveyard. Most died without a name. Leave them and the belongings where they came to rest.

All these pieces of shit get to claim all these artifacts
ASpring (9 месяцев назад)
There is a big difference between being a grave robber and being a historian working for a museum. A grave robber would go down to the ship, take the artifacts, and then sell them for their own personal gain. These people who are preserving the clothing and other items found at the site of the ship are gathering the items so they do not disappear forever and take very good care of them to ensure they are not destroyed. The historians are not doing it for selfish purposes but a grave robber only cares about the money and fame they could gain from getting these items.

Yeah huh... You know, an easy Google search would show you that the last survivor of the Titanic died in May 2009. _Almost 9 years ago_ . And she never had children, so "your" great grandmother had to have died even earlier than that. I'm sure you can pinpoint exactly where the math just doesn't add up, hm?

I'm Asian and I know I don't have any connections or relatives that once was one of the Titanic's passengers, but there is something about that ship, made me feel connected to it, I even had a few dreams about that fateful dark cold night before the break up and the sinking, yeah I know it does sound crazy right? Idk.. I just missed Titanic.. May the souls of the victims rest in peace.

Wedge Antilles grave robbing is when someone Takes a dead body and as i understand We should leave the wreck alone and let it be destroyed by water and have nothing to remember it by right!!!
Radioactive Music 4 U (1 год назад)
why do they have to keep the artifacts wet? I saw this in the movie titanic, they kept the drawing they took up underwater
Altscorpion (1 год назад)
Radioactive Music 4 U bacteria yes but it helps to not wreck it while bringing it back to the museum
Radioactive Music 4 U (1 год назад)
Yeah I am interested to know why though. Is it because of bacteria or something? You would think drying it out would immediately help the situation if your trying to preserve something
Altscorpion (1 год назад)
Radioactive Music 4 U so the artifact isint wrecked due to more then 100 years underwater
Akirah Shamie (1 год назад)
why do they need to put it in water again they could just leave it in a open display covered dry
maidenslayer (5 месяцев назад)
Akirah Shamie Because it preserves them. The oxygen in the air reacts and destroys these items otherwise.

titanic was not a unique ship these cunts are only in it to make money, due to the tragedy of so many people dying the ship should be left alone regardless of how long its been. You wouldn't take artifacts from a grave especially when relative's of the people are still alive

Jake Marsing (2 года назад)
I have an enormous problem with them taking clothes, especially the pairs of shoes which quite literally were on peoples feet when they died and drifted to the bottom. You might as well did up 1,500 bodies, open their caskets, take out their shoes, and sell them. It's disgusting. It's one think to take plates and books, it's another thing to literally take the clothes off the backs of bodies.
Obsessed With Science (6 месяцев назад)
They’re not taking people’s bodies. The bodies have been deteriorated for years because the salt water breaks down humans. The people are just taking he objects out of the ocean to preserve them, and show them to other generations.
JustMe (6 месяцев назад)
Because the shoes and clothing couldn’t possibly come from luggage and rooms right? 🙄
Tyger Voods (6 месяцев назад)
The bodies are all gone, even the shoes were just attached to some pants and had no human body part near them.
Owen M Edwards (6 месяцев назад)
Jake Marsing well I agree but it is a big part of history and the artifacts are a big part of history
Pig Dawson (8 месяцев назад)
Jake Marsing You dont always know it was on their bodies . After at least 100+ I would think the bodies would have faded to powder. Which is what bodies do over time , so your aren’t actually taking if off bodies b3cwsue the powder from the bodies have most likely drifted away.

TrekkieReviews I agree with you. It's a very slippery topic, but I agree that history should be preserved for the rest of us to learn and remember the human loss. I have said in another video that it is the minutia of humanity (like shoes, jewelry, etc ) that help us to view the victims of the past as fellow humans, not just a grainy photo of a long dead stranger.
TrekkieReviews (4 года назад)
Your that guy who said the Titanic Museum in Branson is a disrespect to those who died! First of all, I think she artifacts should be taken for one reason: To perverse history when the ship and other artifacts rust away. 2nd, the Branson Museum is honoring the passengers and crew, and the ship.
