I adore Toyota. I hope Toyota will make an affordable hardy car electrical car. Most electrical cars aren't really for the average pocket nor are the easily fixable nor are they hardy.

They also forgot the Japanese way of life and culture. they have honor. are not lazy. work hard and have great pride in their work regardless of there role within the company. things you will not find in north america except for some patriotism.

It's pronounced like "cun bun". That's how the Japanese romanize their language and that's how they pronounce the vowel "a". Not everything that is written with Roman alphabets follows English pronunciation rules. Gotta do your homework better.

Yeah but Intel doesn't fix issues on the assembly line they just disable whatever is broken and sell it as a cheaper model Not to mention they stole many of their most popular functions from AMD, like multiple CPU cores, x64 support, and multiprocessor capabilities

I used to like Toyota but the lack of options and the poor marketing engineering with horrible models like Etios and the unsecured Hilux led me to own a Honda which is a true urban vehicle that is economic and has all the optionals as a luxury car has. I just think Honda finally heard customers when it comes to best value for urban purposes. Plenty of new and improved car models on the market destined to fulfill the modern city challenges.

Toyota is known for its "Kanban" system which decreases in-process inventory as much as possible. It is a way to reduce the ultimate inventory cost Of course there are also disadvantages. ①It is not suitable for products with strong seasonality ②Delivery time is fixed, and it must not be delivered unless it arrives at that time. In other words, the Toyota Production System has stock in the truck. ③If failure or failure occurs more than the expected quantity, we stop the production line ④The length of the tape to be used , the amount of paint spraying ,etc are strictly fixed. Because that are strictly controlled, it is a very harsh environment for those who are working ⑤It is a bit difficult to make the merit of lowering the price by purchasing in large quantities

So FORD steals everything from GREENWOOD AND PATHERSON (Hebrew Israelites) and TOYOTA steals from FORD. And the white man and Japanese make history and become trillionaires. The way of this world. You fucking wait till our God's return.

Everyone uses skid plates now and have canister filters that keep you from doing your own maintenance at home or have to buy special tools just to do an oil change?

Your praise for Toyota is partially misguided. An American named Edwards Demming who is also known as "The Man Who Discovered Quality" is responsible for the way Toyota know makes cars. His 10 rules for quality can be applied to any manufacturing business. American manufacturers refused to follow the first rule which is to eliminate quota driven production. That is why American manufacturers are always repairing vehicles afterwards. The actual quality of any given brand of the main manufacturers is mostly the perception of the buyer. The industry data, which all manufacturers consult, does not support the "brand X is better" conclusion in any significant way. In reality all of the main manufacturers are very close to each other. The big difference is in the way the customer is treated at the dealership. Some manufacturers have tighter control on their dealerships and required them to fix minor issues under warranty without the vehicles owners ever knowing. The perception of that effort of course is that vehicle is better when actually it's the service that is. The Japanese were smart enough to fully embrace Demming's statistical analysis method of building quality vehicles and it paid off for them greatly in the long run.

Toyota are a victim of their own success. These days if you own a Toyota, you are thought of as a sheep or lacking imagination. Unfortunately for Toyota their lack of variation on each model has meant that the higher price you pay for say a Camry is no longer justifiable due to competitors producing a similar vehicle with more options for nearly 20% less. If you go back 20 years ago, you would see that people that bought Toyota's in their teens were still driving Toyota's today. Now most people only buy one Toyota in their lifetime and then buy a different company's vehicle due to increasing vehicle cost and feeling priced out of the market for the vehicle they want. This is less of a case in America and Japan where peoples wages have kept up with or exceeded inflation.

I'm surprised they didn't talk about how Toyota was the first to experiment with a modular design. They had 6 independent teams create an engine for the Prius given a predefined interface to the engine. The most efficient design made it to the final stage of production. They credit that process to the efficiency breakthrough of the hybrid Prius engine.

I just wish that my 71 Corolla didn't rot out so quick. By 7 years old floor, rockers and fenders rotted . The 2TC engine was a leaker . They have come a long way since then of the engines out living the short life bodies.

For a person who uses car to get from point A to B Toyota's are the best cars ever made. I got a brand new Camry in 2011 and so far other than regular oil/tire change I took it to garage for a total of 2 times. That too for small problems. The engine and every major components are in perfect condition.

The video fails to mention one of the serious flaws in the Just In Time system: supplier interruptions. A recent example of the kind of disruption this can cause is the Meridian Magnesium Products plant fire in Eaton Rapids, Michigan. Ford, Daimler, General Motors Co., Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV and BMW AG factories were all effected as Meridian Products was the only parts supplier of various crucial components in many automobile lines.

In my lifetime, I have worked for auto companies and owned domestic and foreign cars. Ford, GM, Chrysler, AMC, Audi, Mercedes, Fiat, BMW, Ferrari, Toyota, Honda, etc. The only ones that have lasted more than 15 years and have cost much less in maintenance cost have been Toyota and to a lesser extent surprisingly was Mercedes. Ford, GM, Chrysler, and Fiat have had major engine problems after five years of ownership or use. Most of the cars have maintenance issues that increase maintenance costs over the years that you will find is similar to what everyone complains about in the history auto blue books for every auto design. So if you buy or use one of these cars you will already know the headaches you will face in dealing with the problems inherent to each auto base model.

The cord that is pulled once a problem is found is called an andon cord. Amazon fulfillment centers took this idea and do something similar when a problem is found and they "pull an andon" on the computer to address the issue right away.

My last Tacoma I traded in at 360k, it was an 01, I now have the 18, love this truck. If I'd had the extra money I would've held onto my old truck too, but I still got decent money for it and it had a newish frame after Toyota replaced it. Miss that old boy. If my new truck is half as reliable as that guy I'll be happy.
