Life after a Hysterectomy

Оценок: 112 | Просмотров: 9943
Intimacy in my humble opinion will not change, but I can't speak for everybody though. Maybe some women's bodies do change, mind didn't. Some men may even just have a mental block about intimacy after hysterectomy just like some do after a woman's pregnancy. It shouldn't have to change for couples, especially with partial hysterectomies(leaving ovaries). Please like and share this video with someone that needs some motivation after a hysterectomy

Had one three weeks ago and lost 15lbs and my stomach is almost all the way flat again. I love feeling better. I am so blessed , no more pain , extrutianting back pain, pelvic pressure, peeing myself, weight gain, bleeding to the point of severe almost heart attack anemia. I am just feeling fantastic praise be to God.

I am.pregnant and have placenta previa...I've researched this condition and found out it can lead to complications to the point of needing a hysterectomy( after the baby is delivered through a c-section)..I am worried becouse of the sexual aspect of it, or if it would affect me sexually....maybe I.won't need it though but I am bleeding now and I am only 13 weeks pregnant...that is why I worry, becouse the bleeding will only get worse.

Hi and thank you for watching. I'm not 100% what the result will be , since our bodies, emotions and hormones are all so different. In my vid, I just wanted to do my best to share what my personal situation has been like, but by all means I would, if I were you, reach out to maybe a specialist in that area exactly, to see if they can "offer" some advice. Even they can only go based on reports, other people they have seen and data, I'd guess. I really, really hope the best outcome for you, your baby and your relationship, I do. Thank you for sharing what you're going through. Keep pushing and focusing on the best outcome. Peace :)

I can barely feel my husbands love tool anymore after my hysterectomy ☹️😞

I'm so sorry to hear that. I wish I was some kind of doctor or something that could provide an answer or a fix for you, but I'm not. I really do hope things get better faster you both of you regarding that, assuming there's something that can and will help. I personally would have no idea. You just never know what you may get from any kind of procedure. Good luck to you both!!!!!

Hi, There are side effects after having a hysterectomy. The side effects are different for every woman. Some of the side effects are lost of sexual desire. Joint pain, headaches, chest pain by your rib area, depression and more. Do your research having a hysterectomy is not as glorious as one make it to be because it does come with its own side effects. You can also experience frequent yeast infections or bacterial infections. Dryness in your vagina. Again the side effects are different for everyone. https://www.everydayhealth.com/hs/hysterectomy/your-body-after-hysterectomy/

Yup, different for everybody. That's what I mentioned in the description above. Thank you for your input Renita. All the best to you!!!

Thank you! I will be getting this done. Do to so much pain. I am a woman of Jesus Christ and I will be wanting to pray and work on working out.... is it okay for me to work out after? If so... how long after? I haven't worked out in so long, because I have had bad pain..... plus I had one ovary removed two years ago because of a tumor. I also had two c sections and got my tubes tied. Now I am dealing with daily pain... yo where I can not enjoy sexual activities with my husband. And I am also moody. I am also starting to suffer with memory loss... And if I get this done, because I need to... what do you think will happen? Will the memory get better or worse... And the sex? Any suggestions? Thank you for your time. God bless.

Hi Gina, hope all is well, considering. I wish I could tell you exactly what you can expect, but I have to be careful since I am not a health care professional or licensed in any way. I just share my personal journey, hoping there are some nuggets you can take away to hopefully help. I have another longer video, where I go into more depth about what I experienced. I had my hysterectomy, then not that long after I was walking LIGHTLY.. Nothing strenuous at all. In the hospital, the nurses had me walking the halls within the same week I had my surgery. It was really sore. Then when I got home, I'd walk around my complex...maybe once around, but stopped if I felt ANYTHING odd. Keep researching EVERY possibility out there ...loads of info on the topic these days thankfully. I didn't have your same symptoms, so I couldn't speak on memory loss at all. Also on intimacy, that is a tough one to speak on... no two couples are the same lol. I suppose if all was well with you and your spouse prior, it will be the same after. That is a very tough and I wouldn't want to guide you in the wrong direction

NotTheJen FromBackThen Thanks again. I have so much pressure and it's growing so fast. I have to do something soon. You videos are helpful.

I understand being worried. Going through a hysterectomy is big. I had never ever had surgery before either so I was as scared as scared can be... Yikes!!! i HAD NEVER BEEN CUT ON FOR ANYTHING EXCEPT A REMOVAL OF WISDOM TEETH!!! Keep getting information before making a decision, is my thought. And, try not to worry so much that you do nothing and just suffer. I did that for a long time. Seek advice then act.

It has been 3 weeks since my hysterectomy and I feel Great!. I stayed in the hospital for 4 days then after that when I got home I have not had to take any pain meds except for tylenol. I am moving around ok. I have lost about 10lbs and my stomach is flatter. I just love it, it is the best thing I have done. I do wish I could have done it sooner but it was all in God's timing, PERFECT TIMING!!!!!Hopefully I will continue to heal. I have a little pouch which will hopefully with a clean diet and exercise go down some but its not a big issue I'm just happy to be feeling better. I feel GOOD!

did you loose belly fat after hysterectomy
NotTheJen FromBackThen (5 месяцев назад)
Funny thing is, right after my surgery, having that huge uterus removed, I was pretty flat in my stomach. Now 3 years later, I find that I have gained a wee bit more fat , but it's no mystery...,lolol... I been eating waaay too much. I also never really worked my abs much at all since I had so much in there, I could'nt dream of doing sit ups or anything like that.

I had a hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo oophorectomy for heavy bleeding that was unrelated to fibroids back in 2008 at the age of 35 and I have never felt better The only thing that I have to deal with is early menopause which so far has not been that bad, the only thing that I so far have to deal with is hot flashes during the day

Thank you I am glad that I had the surgery when I did because my periods started getting worse when I was 21 and I was trying to pressure a doctor back then for the surgery but wouldn't budge When I was 28 I was put on provera which stopped my periods until my now doctor took me off of it and put me on prometrium at the age of 33 and two months later my periods came back and with a vengeance it was ten times worse than in my twenties so my family doctor referred me to a wonderful and yes a female ob gyn who tried me on all sorts of medication including birth control for almost 10 months and nothing worked so the two of us decided that a hysterectomy was my only option and 2 weeks after making that decision I had the surgery I am like you that if a person was looking to having the surgery or if a doctor is pushing her and she feels like she has no options just to seek a second and if not a third opinion because now there are procedures such as ablations and the good old d & c and other procedures that are quite new especially if a patient is younger

+me me You are so very welcome.  I know it's hard a lot of the time, dealing with those irritants in there, but hang on, you just have to find a solution that works for you.  It'll all be worked out and then it'll be like the blink of an eye once their gone out of you.  I have other videos too, to try and help in my own humble way, check them out when you can.  Peace

Hi It'll be 2 weeks tomorrow since I have had my surgery. Yay🙂. I think healing well I'm not taking pain killers anymore, but I'm still sore. My belly is ridiculously swollen still. I find myself getting annoyed with it. How did it take your swollen belly to go down? My belly is bigger than it was with the fibroids😁.
NotTheJen FromBackThen (1 год назад)
Oh you're so welcome. Thank YOU for watching my little humble video too hehe. I really appreciate that and I'm glad I could share a bit of my experience to help somehow. Double yay!! :)

Wow... you are super brave. Yup, you had to do what was best for you and your situation. I hope you get a load of rest, you deserve it. You've been through a lot and now it is time for you to be gentle to yourself.... just like you said and rest. Yay!!!!! Speedy recovery to you
NotTheJen FromBackThen (2 года назад)
+Rubarb84 Congrats and terrific!! Hmm, on the swelling, I don't remember being swollen really, just super sore.  Tender too.  Keep an eye on that and if you notice it isn't getting any flatter, tell your surgeon.  All of our stories are going to be different for sure, i.e. different surgeons, different diets, etc.  I'm definitely no expert lol.  But humbly, I want to say to watch dairy and other stuff that will bloat you.  I can't say for sure if it's bloating from gas or the anesthesia or just bloat from a certain food.  Might even want to google that one and see what other women say about that experience.  :)

I'm having my surgery on the 18th. So scared, but I have 4 fibroids the size of oranges n grapefruits. I'm sure I'll feel better than I do now. Did u feel lighter after your surgery? I constantly feel heavy n bloated with my fibroids. Thanks for the video.
NotTheJen FromBackThen (10 месяцев назад)
I hope everything went well for you Rubar84
NotTheJen FromBackThen (2 года назад)
+Rubarb84 Hi there!!!  :)  I felt lighter for sure.  I was not used to having a small/flat stomach either.  I had the "bloated" out-stretched stomach for so long.  I didn't really eat before my surgery either, doctor's orders, so for the first few days it was mostly liquid.  I still trip out about having a smaller stomach.  I have put a little more weight on now, round my tummy, but it is not sticking out though!!! Phew.  I pray all goes super well with your "removal" and that you feel beautiful afterwards. Yay for you!!
