I just had my first colonoscopy 4 days ago, and never in a million years would I have thought they'd find anything. My dr called and said one of the 2 polyps he removed was cancerous, but he had went through several layers so the margins were clear and I was ok. My symptoms were gas (every day and seemed more than normal), blood in stool (but it was tiny amount and only a few times, I only knew it was there because there was a tiny dot of pink on the toilet paper), feeling bloated, losing weight (7-10 pounds in a month not a huge amount), and eating only a small amount before feeling full. I'm 45 and cancerous polyps grow slow, so if they hadn't lowered the age there's no telling where I'd be, because I was 36-37 when these symptoms started. Get checked if you even suspect!!!
