This is just crazy.. it just describes my life completely. I have been so confused.. I am a healthy fat person. I hate it. I try so hard, I eat so well and still I never ever lose weight. I have tried all the same plans you did in an attempt to lose. You are inspiring to me..that I can still do this.. I have also been scared to eat less (what if I turn anorexic?).. I have to believe though that that wont happen and just start doing it. Thanks for your words and wisdom.

I’m 5’9 (175 cm) and I weight 185 lbs (85kg).I want to loose 30-40 lbs. I don’t workout, but I go for a walk everyday (I burn ~200-300 calories). How much calories should I eat in a day to lose 40 lbs?

You’re sensible Liezl and I like that about you. I got sucked into the HCLF vegan lifestyle and I am still struggling to lose the weight and like you, my Mom and Dad keeps saying that it’s all about calories. I am also very small and petite so I need to give this calorie thing a try!

I was the same way!! I would NOT touch the calorie thing, I thought counting calories was really bad and obsessive and whatever. I was convinced that eating healthy/macros would allow me to lose weight. I finally decided to try it, while also eating healthy food, and it’s working very well!

OMG it's like listening to my story from a side. I'm at the exact point in my life, where you were before you've started counting your calories and losing weight. It's such a great coincidence that I found this video. You really inspired me! Thanks so much. I will definitely purchase you book to begin with and make my life easier as you already went through all of that. Best wishes from Lithuania!

Jennifer S (2 months ago)
To be honest, I'm so happy to see how much weight you actually gained and then were able to lose. You have such a realistic story (and approach) to follow; it's truly motivating! I've struggled for years with my weight (even when I used to be an athlete and use to be insanely strict about what I ate, I was still at least 160lbs at 5ft 5" tall), but I've also got a slow thyroid which although it's controlled, still makes things difficult. Do you have any suggestions for people with slow thyroids? I don't want to starve myself, but I feel almost like I need to eat less than the recommended caloric intake to actually maintain my weight and even less to lose any weight.

CHRISTINE LONEY (2 months ago)
I am a 69 year old woman who is 4' 7" tall, so I am petite too. I have tried so many diets also from Keto, lo-fat high protein, Lo Carb Hi Fats, Paleo, Bright Line Eating, Weight Watchers, Atkins but they haven't worked either. I will be 70 in October plus a granddaughter is getting married in October too which gives me 12 weeks to lose about 30 pounds. What would you recommend me to try. I'm not very active, retired and husband does not support me and likes his sweets though he's a diabetic with blood pressure and heart problems. I had breast cancer in 2000 and just had another biopsy done for a re occurrance of breast cancer. Please help me!!! christineloney@yahoo.ca

Just wonderful, I have been researching "best diets workouts" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Reyvery Monrayden Release - (just google it ) ? Ive heard some decent things about it and my mate got great results with it.

I am also 5,2 and I weigh 127 pounds. In the beginning of last month I weighed 135 pounds and last month I lost 8 pounds by eating healthy, exercising and drinking lots of water. My goal has always been to be 115 pounds. I need to lose about 12 more pounds . Does anyone have anymore tips? If you want to , comment on this to see how much weight I lost at the end of the month ( July 2018 ). Wish me luck:)

3 mc on KetoDiet diet reduced my appetite so much that I was eating 600 cal/day very low carbs up to 8carbs/day ; my skin went grey, lost lot of hair , feeling tiered no energy to exercise but when I lost my period I said thats enough! It’s dangerous! Only balanced diet + exercise work!

Thank you so much for sharing. It's so hard when you feel like you're losing time compared to others. Emotional eating has saved my life at times. The nourishment and pleasure of pigging out on food, helped make a difference in my brain chemistry that gave me the strength to move on from trauma. Then i could start to lose weight and get a stronger body (which then purged the unhappiness further). We get through best we can :) For you to go through the details of you journey, is so conscientious and ultimately kind of you, i wanted to say thank you for giving me some extra strength to help me move further on to where i really want to be. Warm regards Em x

So glad you shared your story. I'm 64 and I have struggled with my weight my entire life. I'm so much like you....I eat incredibly healthy food, but I have lost control of snacking on dried fruits, nuts, dark chocolate. I also exercise 5 days a week, but maybe not intensely enough. So, you have inspired me to get a grip and keep track of everything. Got rid of the snacky stuff on the counters. I have at least 30 lbs. to lose, but I am looking forward to fitting into that closet full of really cute clothes that are too tight! I can't do your HIIT workout because of hip, knee, and ankle pain, but I have found some excellent low impact HIIT workouts on YouTube that are really challenging. Thank you for the inspiration.

I’m 12 and 125 lbs, and I don’t think I need to lose 40 pounds, but I really do need to lose like 20 lbs in about 2 months cause it’s almost summer and I’m going to see my family like cousins, aunts and uncles, etc. But the last time I went I was like 9 and all my cousins teased me for my weight and it made me feel really bad. So this time I HAVE to lose weight. I can’t stand going there the way I am right now. But this is a very inspirational video. Thank you!!!!

This story is so similar to mine, I have tried so many diets, pills, exercises, and suffered from an eating disorder because I got so depressed and fed up that nothing was working. I came across your channel yesterday, and I have been hooked, I can't wait to start my journey I hope I can see results as you did. Thank you so much!
CodexArgenteus (5 months ago)
You have so many similarities to my life! I am also a petite person with petite bone structure. I am 5"0' and I was normally for many years about 100 lbs (which was healthy for me. My mom is 5"5' and regularly weighed 110 - 115 lbs as a comparisson). At 22 I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease and fell from 100 lbs to 77 lbs and then ate all this junk food & fatty stuff to gain back the weight which got my body to more easily embrace a poor eating style so that I stabilized about about 110 - 115 lbs. At the height of my illness I also had to take a semester away from university. Between age 24 and 27 I was dealing with ongoing, chronic stressors including yoyo-ing through university, college, and part-time, summer & contract jobs and feeling deeply depressed due to un/underemployment during the Recession as well as family tragedies (relatives and friends' relatives were diagnosed with cancer). At 27, I gained somewhere between 140 to 150 lbs (at my heaviest about 155 lbs) within about 3 or 4 months owing to emotional eating of sort-of `healthy food`(ie: all you can eat sushi). ;) as a way of dealing with all of the stress in my life which also included uprooting myself to move in with my boyfriend whom I'd met online (& who is now my fiance) and dealing with my parents disapproval at my actions. I'm now 31 and over the last 4 years I've naturally lost about 5 lbs (depending on the scale) just by eating less (though not much differently in the type of food I'm consuming) and I am not getting any lighter since I find it difficult to get started on fitness and am not sure exactly how to start losing weight at this point. Oddly though, when I was 20, I gained about 3 lbs of pure muscle and improved my body shape because I worked out daily for 6 months - but that was the last time I've really worked out in a long time. Currently debating joining a gym vs. yoga vs getting a personal trainer. But I love your food tips & meal plans and will definitely start using them as i start trying to lose weight in a healthy way and begin my journey to being fitter and healthier again.

Would like to see a picture of you when you were heavy. The picture where you show your abdomen it doesn't show your face. And my dear that is not a 40 lbs . For some reason I have a hard time believing that you were heavy

Same here girl! I'm so happy I found this channel. After a terrible breakup I gained 30 pounds. I'm 5'1 and went from 52 kg to over 64kg... It sucked. Non of my close was good! I went Vegan and gained all the weight back plus a few more pounds, tried keto lost like 2 pounds... Same for me, a balanced diet plus calorie awareness worked for me. I'm 57kg... Still 5kg to go but on track. Lost already 10kg... Just FYI my thyroid made things slower, not like i was necessarily hipo but I do have a naturally slower metabolism. I know now why you do have so many vegan elements and keto awareness that I appreciate. I went through the same. I respect you and congratulate your wins. More likely I'll buy your book. I'm a proud subscriber.

We're the same height and I'm at 52-54 kilos but I look like your before pictures (but smaller).... I always swell up a lot after eating and my upper thighs are wobbly and large. I honestly think it's so unfair. I'll never have a normal body because of the swelling and my horrible thighs and the rest of me is so tiny....

What do you think about the juce product from Costco?? I have gained lots of weight during the past six, seven years and I'm glad I had lost weight and was healthier before that! I had a routine that worked exercise was a big part......I would go to exercise then go about my day never logged my food cause it wasn't a big deal I wouldn't overeat because I wasn't hungry!! I started using weight machines and target machines for certain areas of body just after I had got usto my cardio and had enough endurance......Now I miss miss running or let me call it fast walking jogging but I cannot run so I'm trying to find a good piece of equipment. I'm trying the bike/elliptical because it's ok for my leg/hip.....and starting with hand weights.....any advice would be great I guess I'm freaked out because I am bigger than normal normally I was always 125 -130 and I needed to lose Weight then because of my body structure......so felt even greater at 112 cause my body size reflected it I would measure myself not just weigh myself.........I always new muscle weighed more than fat.

Hey there! So I just watched your video, and girl I gotta tell you, you just gave me the motivation to keep on going!! It is so good to hear that you kinda had your struggles too and that you did it anyway! So many people kinda keep the “love yourself, respect yourself” part out of their weight loss story. I’m the person that feels guilty so fast when I didn’t work out or when I had dessert at dinner and that kinda really f***ed up my mind, like I was in constant stress and was always on the edge. And when I didn’t lose weight that fast I was like getting super frustrated and stuff. I’m right now 5.8” (175cm) and 163 lbs (74kg) and I’ve lost 4 kilograms since September and throughout the months I gained a little and I lost a little but now I’m constant 74 kg and I’m kinda proud of it cause I’ve always really struggled with maintaining my weight. But sometimes I really wonder why I’m not loosing more weight, cause usually I train up to 10 hours per week ( most of the time 8hours per average) cause I’m in amateur sports team and I’m eating around 1600 kcal. But I’ll try now to go down at 1400-1500 kcal and do more of the HIT session that you mentioned! Can anyone recommend some workouts for that? And you know what’s like really hard too sometimes? To not have somebody to talk about it, I mean sure I can talk to my friends but they don’t follow my goals or at least we don’t share the same? Anybody can relate to that? Haha Well, never mind, this is probably gonna be a long ass comment so I’ll stop now but in conclusion I just wanted to say: thanks for being so honest about your story and also so positive! You’re really really awesome! Btw your Instagram account is really dope, whenever I need inspiration for my meals I’ll just take a look at your feed :D (And please excuse any spelling and grammar mistakes, I’m way too lazy now to check it all again :D)
