Estrogen vs Progesterone Hormonal Dominance: Control Low Hormones Symptoms

04:05
http://getleantoday.com - Dr. Raj Banerjee shares the key differences between estrogen and progesterone. Steroids are a group of hormones that regulate body functions – and they are all derived from cholesterol. Or fat. That’s right, fat. Estrogen, which is usually the focus of HRT, is actually a generic term for three different forms of hormone called Estriol, Estrodiol and Estrone - Estrodiol being the most potent. Estrogen is called the female sex hormone because it regulates the menstrual cycle and causes thing to grow during puberty – Dr Raj likes estrogen because it creates curves and it also stimulates cell growth in preparation for pregnancy. Estrogen is a growth hormone. It has received a lot of bad press because people have been taking too much estrogen in the form of synthetic hormone for a long period of time. And any hormone you take in excess is going to cause problems. And a growth hormone like estrogen if you take too much of it. You are going to get excessive cell growth which is another term for what we call cancer. So its understandable, estrogen is not good or bad, but if you take too much estrogen its going to cause problems. Progesterone is the pro gestational hormone. It’s the hormone that keeps the uterine lining intact if you get pregnant. And its depleted when you are under stress. So the typical reaction is high stress, high cortisol levels when you are under stress and the depletion of the progesterone. Its pretty amazing what progestronine helps with. It helps protect from many of the negative effects of extra estrogen. It helps women sleep. It gives them better sex drive, better energy levels, makes your skin look better. It’s a wonderful hormone. If we compare them side-by-side, you’ll see that they counterbalance each other in many ways. There’s an ideal ratio between these two hormones. Estrogen given in too large of a dose can cause depression, headaches, it increases the risk of blood clotting and stroke. It causes the loss of many nutrients such as zink and copper. It interferes with oxygen levels. Again that in a person that is getting excessive estrogen which has basically been the history of menopausal treatment. Dr Raj wants to leave you with an important point to free yourself from chronic fatigue and pain and depression and overweight. Ovarian hormones do not spontaneously malfunction by themselves. The female hormones do not all of a sudden malfunction by themselves. They are responding to stress as a stress hormone called cortisol. Every molecule of cortisol that you produce comes from progesterone. When you are under stress guess what happens? Your cortisol goes up and your progesterone drops. Dr Raj wants to test your cortisol and fix it. And he wants to test your female hormone and fix your whole hormonal system at the same time and make all your symptoms go away. That will help eliminate depression and fatigue. Night sweats, hot flashes, mood swings etc. and it will improve your metabolism so you will able to start losing weight. Like this video and subscribe to this channel so he can continue to produce more videos to help you. He appreciates your support. Visit his site at http://getleantoday.com. What I Eat In A Day For Hormonal Balance

08:35
Hi wonderful people! I want to stress that I’m not dismissing the pill or what it can do for people. It has many benefits, the main one being preventing unwanted births (which is huge!). My aim for this video wasn’t to sway people in one direction or another, although it might’ve seemed so with my experience. I wanted to give a bit of backstory as to why I was eating specific foods for hormonal balance, and why my hormones were out of whack. I was prescribed Yaz when I was very young to combat painful, heavy periods and acne. Looking back, I think we could’ve explored different options that would have been more appropriate for a 15/16 year old that wasn’t sexually active. The pill might be the right choice for some people and not for others, that is for each individual to decide on, hopefully with all the information needed to make a well-informed choice. For those of us who are not on the pill, or who have recently quit and have found our hormones affecting our way of life, these are some of the foods and rituals I have found help me, especially during that time of the month. This is just my experience, I’m not a doctor, I’m not a specialist. I am sharing what I have learned along the way in hopes that what I’m sharing might help you. You can head to https://camandnina.com/products/morsel to check out our recipe ebook! Read more about foods, hormones and my experience on my blogpost: https://camandnina.com/recipes/hormonalbalancefood This is the first video in the Women Series in which I try to dive into all of the ways we can take charge of our own health and wellbeing, for a more fulfilling and happy life. I wanted to start the series by talking about the foods I usually eat when I'm on my period, because it is one of the easiest ways to prevent or alleviate PMS symptoms, heavy periods, hormonal acne, etc. I'd love to hear what rituals, foods or practices you include or what you'd like to hear on future Women Series videos! Our body does not function like a MAN, we go through our monthly menstrual cycle, hence our hormones go up and down almost every week. Don’t expect to TRAIN LIKE A MAN! Don't feel bad when you can’t push as hard on certain days but that also doesn’t mean you should just sit back and do nothing. WATCH this video through to understand the Menstrual Cycle and how we women CAN adjust our exercise routine and also food intake to match our body’s internal rhythms and even help with weight loss. Joanna Soh: http://joannasoh.com/ https://www.instagram.com/joannasohofficial/ https://www.facebook.com/joannasohofficial/ https://www.youtube.com/user/joannasohofficial https://twitter.com/Joanna_Soh HER Network: https://www.hernetwork.tv https://www.facebook.com/hernetwork.tv https://www.instagram.com/hernetwork.tv __________ In general, the menstrual cycle occurs in two phases. On average, it’s a 28-day cycle. 1) FOLLICULAR Phase - Day 1 to Day 14 - Go hard! Do high intensity workouts, lift heavy and perform total body strength training. - Your body is more tolerant to pain and muscles recover quicker. - Your body uses Carbs as its main source of fuel. - You can increase your carb intake slightly especially after an intense workout. 2) LUTEAL Phase - Day 14 to Day 28 - I like to call this phase the “roller coaster” phase. - this is when all the PMS symptoms start to hit: you might crave for sugar or high fat food, you have bigger appetite, you feel sluggish, you have trouble sleeping, your body retains more water, you feel bloated and you might suffer from mild cramps too. - Your body turns to FAT AS FUEL instead of carbs. - Good news, your body is now burning FAT rather than carbs or glycogen. Focus on steady pace cardio to get the most out of your workout. - This is also when the muscle breakdown increases, hence it takes longer for you to recover from your workout. So choose moderation workout that’s less intense. - You might lose your motivation BUT power through your workout, as much as possible, eat well and you WILL feel better. We are all very different and it takes time to really understand your body. If you have this knowledge, you’re able to take advantage of the hormonal benefits and overcome the challenges by adjusting and changing your workout routine and also food intake. Again, remember this is a guideline as there is very limited research in regards to training with your menstrual cycle. Give it a try, make changes and see what works for you. __________ MUSIC Daily Beetle by Kevin MacLeod is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution license (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/) Source: http://incompetech.com/music/royalty-free/index.html?isrc=USUAN1500025 Artist: http://incompetech.com/

9 Hormonal Imbalance Signs Everyone Should Know

07:41
Here are the 9 most common symptoms of hormonal imbalance that can negatively affect you. If you suspect that you have any of these symptoms, talk to your doctor immediately! The rhythm of life, with all its stresses and environmental problems, doesn’t let you fully take care of your physical health. Despite this fact, your body and the way you look may be sending you signals about major health concerns that need to be dealt with. We all want to look our best but this doesn’t necessarily have to involve overpriced salon services, cosmetics or exercise. Your own hormones can “speak” for themselves. The development of the human body greatly depends on the function of hormones. These tiny signaling molecules are responsible for our mood, emotions, behavior and even our looks. TIMESTAMPS Acne 1:07 Excess weight 1:47 Fatigue 2:32 Sweating 3:16 Dark circles under the eyes 3:53 Depression 4:39 Breast changes 5:24 Hair loss 5:59 Unwanted hair 6:37 SUMMARY - Outbreaks of acne can be the result of improper skin care, an unbalanced diet, or your menstrual cycle. However, if acne has become a consistent foe, it’s probably a symptom of a hormonal disorder. - Many people struggle with their weight their whole lives, resisting food cravings and doing exercise; others are thin without any particular effort. Hormone-related problems are most likely to be the culprit of this injustice. - Always feeling tired despite no changes in your habits or environment is a much more serious problem known as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, which can be a result of hormones that are off balance. - If you have fluctuations in your body temperature, the issue could be both neurological and hormonal. Again, contact a health professional if you feel like you’re experiencing these symptoms. - Chronic insomnia may be the result of testosterone insufficiency in men and progesterone insufficiency in women. The good news is that sleep deficiency due to hormonal imbalance can be cured! - Depression can be another symptom of fluctuating hormone levels. Anxiety and depression can occur just before a woman’s menstrual cycle, during pregnancy, and during menopause. If you’re having more frequent panic attacks and anxiety, talk to an endocrinologist. - Low levels of estrogen can make breast tissue less dense whereas excessively high levels of this hormone can cause lumps or cysts. If you notice any changes in your breasts or you feel any lumps in your breast tissue, consult a doctor immediately. - Excessive hair loss is one of the most common symptoms of hormonal imbalance. Take control of your eyesight and headaches. Worsening vision and frequent headaches may signalize instability in the pituitary gland, the hormone epicenter. Don’t just give up and blame it on stress and hard work. Get yourself checked out! Taking care of your health should be top priority. Know your body and listen to the signals it’s sending to you so that you can be in tip-top shape. Hormonal Axis Imbalances and PMS

03:37
https://www.drlam.com/blog/hormonal-axis-imbalances-and-pms/29063/ This is Dr. Lam, founder of drlam.com. Today’s questions come from somebody who has this to ask: I never had PMS issues until I started dealing with adrenal fatigue. Why is it happening now? To understand this concept we have to take a step back and look and understand what hormonal axis is all about. The adrenal glands are responsible for over 50 hormones of the body. Some of them are woman’s hormone including estrogen and progesterone. When a person is in adrenal fatigue there’s a tendency for the body to shunt a precursor such as pregnenolone to cortisol in order for the body to make these anti-inflammatory hormones. When that happens the body can be in a state of what we call estrogen dominance. In another words the estrogen is too much in the body relative to progesterone, because the progesterone may also be shunted away. In absolute terms the estrogen may be normal. But in relative terms it may be high because of the low in progesterone level. When this happens then the body’s estrogen tend to circulate and causes what we call estrogenic effect such as bloatedness, edema, swelling of the breasts, anxiety, brain fog, and severe PMS. Sometimes it’s not severe, it just can be troublesome. As well during the adrenal recovery period sometimes the estrogenic hormone can raise, and therefore the body can experience estrogenic symptoms such as PMS and the things that we mentioned earlier as well. This usually is temporary and it should go away. However, if it doesn’t that means there’s something else going on such as liver congestion or extracellular matrix pollution and underlying issues of the body has to be dealt with. Hormonal axis usually is self-regulatory. But when a person has adrenal fatigue that regulation tend to be dysfunctional. Some people continue to have normal regulation but many have imbalances. As a result, their estrogen can be higher than normal or lower than normal. And same thing with other hormones such as progesterone, DHEA, testosterone. So don’t be too afraid when things like this happen. Talk to your practitioner. There are reasons why. We don’t want to jump to conclusion that it is only estrogen dominance that was as a result of adrenal fatigue. Sometimes these things can come on and they tend to resolve. If it don’t resolve then we have to look deeper and figure out what is really going on and what the body is trying to tell us in terms of the hormonal axis regulation. Do you experience cramps, breast tenderness, mood swings or heavy periods each month? Did you know that these premenstrual symptoms are caused by low progesterone? A safe, natural solution is to replenish your body with bioidentical progesterone, which is identical to the progesterone your body makes. Do not let your doctor prescribe you birth control pills, which are not only foreign to the body and dangerous, but also do not solve the underlying cause of your pms. Each month, an egg is released from an ovary in a process called ovulation. At the same time, the lining of the uterus thickens, ready for pregnancy. If fertilization does not take place, the lining of the uterus is shed in menstrual bleeding and the cycle starts over. An ovary contains hundreds of thousands of primary oocytes - immature eggs, or ova. Each of these is enclosed in a structure called a follicle, and at this stage -- a primordial follicle. The menstrual cycle is under control of hormones secreted by the pituitary gland and the ovaries. The pituitary itself is under control of the hypothalamus. The hypothalamus produces a hormone called the gonadotropin-releasing hormone or GnRH. GnRH stimulates the anterior lobe of the pituitary to secrete follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH). FSH travels in the bloodstream to the ovaries and stimulates a group of follicles to grow. These primordial follicles develop into primary follicles and then secondary follicles. These produce a hormone named estrogen which acts to stimulate the growth of the endometrium -- the inner lining of the uterus. The secondary follicles compete with each other and only one of them will survive and become a mature follicle, the rest atrophy and die. The increasing level of estrogen also acts on the hypothalamus and the anterior pituitary to increase the level of GnRH and induce the production of another hormone -- luteinizing hormone (LH). A surge in LH secretion triggers ovulation - the release of the egg from the follicle and the ovary. The egg is then swept up by the fimbriae (FIM-bree-ee) and taken into the uterine tube. Fertilization by a spermatozoon, when it occurs, usually takes place in the ampulla, the widest section of the fallopian tube. The fertilized egg immediately begins the process of development while travelling toward the uterus. After 6 days it becomes a blastocyst and is implanted into the endometrium of the uterus. Meanwhile, the left-over of the ruptured follicle has become a corpus luteum which secretes progesterone. Progesterone further stimulates uterine development making it a nutritious bed for the embryo in the event of pregnancy. In the absence of pregnancy, the corpus luteum atrophies and progesterone level falls. This leads to the breakdown of the endometrium, menstruation begins and the cycle starts over. 10 Early Warning Signs Your Estrogen Levels Are Too High & How To Fix It

04:56
Nothing helps the body work like it should than when its hormones are perfectly balanced. The key to making sure that women’s bodies are hormonally balanced is making sure that their estrogen levels are where they need to be. Estrogen also plays an important role regulating the menstrual cycle. Bloating and a decreased sex drive are just two indicators of estrogen dominance—what takes place when your estrogen level gets and stays too high. Recognizing the signs and symptoms of too much estrogen can help you know to make sure your hormones stay regulated. Weight loss, high blood pressure, diabetes, and pregnancy are some of culprits of estrogen dominance. Let’s take a closer look at these and more. Here are 10 signs that you have estrogen dominance: 1. Weight Gain Putting on more than a few extra pounds can be an indication of too much estrogen. It causes bloating and makes it even harder to lose the weight. If you want to lose weight and keep it off, your estrogen can’t suffer rapid changes. 2. Heavy Menstruation When your estrogen levels rise, it can have the unwanted side effect of giving you a heavier period than normal. So, if that happens, you might want to consider having your estrogen level checked. 3. Decreased Sex Drive When you just don’t want intimacy with your significant other, it could mean a significantly increased amount of estrogen. High amounts of estrogen point to a lowered sex drive; however, you don’t want your estrogen to fall too low. It can also affect your desire for sex. 4. Irregular Period As we’ve already seen, your hormones and your period are closely related. When your estrogen fluctuates more than it should, the time between your period becomes unpredictable also. 5. Swollen Breasts When your hormone levels change, your breasts can become overly sensitive. So, when your breasts get tender to the touch, it might mean that you’ve got too much estrogen. 6. Changes in Mood Estrogen can affect your mental health. Too much of the female hormone has been attributed to panic and anxiety attacks as well as depression. 7. Frequent Headaches Have you recently experienced migraine headaches? Have you begun to get headaches more than normal? These issues could be cause by estrogen dominance. 8. Hair Loss When your body produces too much estrogen, your hair begins to thin. As it thins, it begins to fall out. Balancing your estrogen levels can take care of this irritating problem. 9. Insomnia When you’re having trouble sleeping, the cause could be too much estrogen. Our bodies know when there are problems and often times has problems adjusting. Sleep loss can be a reflection of that. 10. Cold Extremities Estrogen levels can affect circulation too. If your hormone levels are abnormal it could be the reason you're having a hard time keeping your hands and feet warm. Balance Your Hormone Levels with These 5 Foods 1. Rosemary Rosemary doesn’t just add flavor to your favorite recipes. It can also improve memory function, boost your metabolism, and contribute to a properly functioning thyroid. Best of all, rosemary is one of the foods responsible for producing estrogen. 2. Cruciferous Vegetables I3C, or indole-3-carbinol as this nutrient is properly known, is found in cruciferous vegetables like spinach, bok choy, kale, Brussels sprouts, and broccoli. These all have the important job of ridding the body of excess estrogen because the I3C converts into a substance that helps the liver flush the body when it has too much estrogen. 3. Flaxseed Another food that assists in getting rid of excess estrogen is flaxseed. The lignans and phytoestrogens present in these tiny seeds help regulate estrogen in the body by controlling how much of the hormone is able to bind to estrogen receptors. 4. Isoflavones Found in several herbs such as Trifolium pratense, Puerari montana, and Pueraria lobata, isoflavones have antioxidant properties that boost low estrogen levels. These herbs can be found in certain teas and are a great way to balance estrogen levels. 5. Activated Folic Acid You often hear about the importance of folic acid in women’s health. That’s because it’s present in the same leafy green vegetables that are high in I3C. It’s able to change estrogen into a form that actually lowers the risk of some forms of cancer. The most common hormonally-related reasons why we suffer from mood swings, depression, anxiety, foggy brain, aggression or forgetfulness could be due to: • high cortisol levels (aka as adrenal fatigue, stage 1 or 2) • low cortisol levels (aka adrenal fatigue, stage 3) • estrogen dominance • low thyroid function • high androgens, like testosterone or DHEA • high or low neurotransmitters like serotonin To understand more, please watch the above video. To find out which hormones could be causing your emotional swings, take the free Hormones Balance Quiz and get instant results at http://Hormonesbalance.com/Quiz. Top 7 Essential Oils to Balance Hormones Naturally

03:58
Most of us aren’t high wire performers because we lack balance. And perhaps there’s a great deal of fear. Our internal wiring also appreciates balance. When hormones are firing improperly, mood swings may be in full bloom in men and women. Other symptoms may be fatigue, weight gain, fertility problems, depression and insomnia. Left untreated, hormonal imbalances might trigger something more serious. In today’s video, we will explore the medicinal benefits of 7 essential oils and how they can equalize those hormones. Lavender Oil The distinct scent of lavender extract has an ability to balance hormones. Also, women with PMS may find relief from feelings of stress and discomfort. Thyme Oil Studies have shown that thyme essential oil positively affects progesterone, by improving progesterone production. Low levels of this hormone lead to depression, infertility, and PCOS. Basil Oil The function of the adrenal glands is to cope with daily stress, by producing cortisol. This essential oil boosts the body’s natural response to both physical and emotional stress. Researchers have found that the daily use of basil extracts reduce the general stress symptoms, such as exhaustion, sleep issues, and forgetfulness. Clary Sage Oil A study conducted in 2014 showed that the inhalation of clary sage oil reduces the levels of cortisol by 36%, and increases the thyroid hormone levels. According to researchers “clary sage oil had a statistically significant effect on lowering cortisol and had an anti-depressant effect improving mood.” Lemongrass Oil The ovaries produce estrogen and progesterone, and when these hormones are imbalanced, the person experiences infertility, PMS, and difficult or irregular menstrual cycles. According to Dutch researchers, the compounds in lemon peels, which are also found in this oil, boost liver functions, as well as the production of hormones, by reducing liver cholesterol. Sandalwood Oil It balances testosterone in women and man and improves the levels of hormones in the body. It also acts as a powerful natural aphrodisiac which enhances libido. Myrtle Oil About 20 million Americans suffer from some kind of thyroid disease, and even 60% of them are not aware of it. The thyroid gland regulates numerous processes in the body, as well as the metabolism and the body’s temperature. This essential oil stimulates the thyroid activity, and balances and normalizes the function of the ovaries and the balance of hormones. Here is how to use them in order to treat hormonal imbalance: - You should mix some coconut oil with some of these essential oils and rub it on different areas of the body, to help their absorption through the skin. - To improve hormone balance, mix 2 drops of clary sage oil with 2 drops of lavender oil and create a powerful aromatherapy formula. - Soak in a bath with some warm water, 2 drops of lavender, and 3 drops of clary sage. This will soothe PMS symptoms. ----------------------------------------- Disclaimer: The materials and the information contained on Natural Cures channel are provided for general and educational purposes only and do not constitute any legal, medical or other professional advice on any subject matter. Hormonal Imbalance in Women - Chronic Fatigue, Stress and Weight Gain

13:04
Hormonal Imbalance in Women - Chronic Fatigue, Stress and Weight Gain: http://mariahdolan.com/adrenal-fatigue/. If you're gaining weight, fatigued all the time, can't focus, are stressed/anxious/irritable or depressed, have ruthless PMS symptoms wreaking hormone havoc and you have no idea why because you're doing all the right things, you need to watch this video. Secondly, if you've been shuffled around from doctor to doctor telling you there's nothing wrong with you and you're normal, you need to watch this video. You may have adrenal fatigue if you allow stress to go unchecked. Today I'm getting personal. So personal, that I'm sharing all my private lab tests with you. So what do my lab tests have to do with you and how can you benefit from this information? #1. Because I'm the perfect example of somebody who was doing all the right things, and still got sick. VIDEO TRANSCRIPT Over the past year, I've been struggling with some health issues that I didn't want to tell you about, primarily because I'm a physical therapist, personal trainer and a health coach. How can I possibly have any health issues? I'm supposed to be the model of optimum health, right? But here's the deal. I'm human too. Just because I have a fancy health education doesn't make me immune to disease. So I decided that if I withhold my personal health struggles from you, what a disservice that is. What if right now, you're experiencing the same symptoms that I have? I want you to be able to use me as an example of what to do, and what NOT to do, so that you don't have to struggle like I did. One year ago, I started getting tired, like reeeeeeeallly tired. My alarm clock would go off, and I would just lay there and think, "oh my gosh, I will cut off my right arm for 20 more minutes of sleep!" The problem was, this incredible sense of fatigue I had, never went away, even if I got enough sleep. So that was warning sign #1. Eventually, I'd roll out of bed, drag my sluggish body downstairs to workout before my kids woke up. I'd complete my workout, and literally feel like I did nothing. Seriously, not a drop of sweat on my body, not even that glow that you get like when you just worked out. So that was warning sign #2. Warning sign #3: I started gaining weight. Now this was the most frustrating symptom of all, because I was doing all the right things. I was eating clean, I was working out, yet I was storing fat around my midsection and couldn't help it. Warning sign #4 I had constant PMS symptoms. (Again, another fun one.) I had breast tenderness and swelling, bloating, water retention, irritability, and the strongest high-fat high-carb cravings I've ever had. The best way I can describe it is always feeling like you're just about to get your period. That's how I felt...all. the. time. Warning sign #5 I started spotting between periods. Then my periods started getting closer together, then every 2 weeks, to where I eventually never stopped bleeding. And this went on for 2 months. So you can imagine this was the symptom that finally did me in. It was a physical symptom that I couldn't make an excuse for. So I went to my doctor like most people would where she ran some blood tests, and there was nothing wrong with me. Then I went to my gynecologist about the prolonged bleeding, she ordered a vaginal ultrasound and yep, nothing wrong with me. She prescribed birth control pills, 20 mcg of estrogen per day, to get me back on track. And I'll tell you, something just didn't sit right with me that we were throwing something at my symptoms without knowing why. Plus birth control pills aren't recommended for women over the age of 35. And yep, I'm over 35! So here I was, feeling like crap, with nothing wrong with me. So, I started doing all the wrong things like eating sugar and drinking caffeine because I was desperately trying to borrow energy to get through my day. Of course this only caused more weight gain and made my energy problems worse. That's when I finally decided to find a naturopathic doctor who I hoped would listen, and run some unconventional tests to figure out why I was feeling so crummy. The endocrine system is the superior communication system. It has various glands that makes and send hormones through the blood and hormones are the communications. Any type of problem along the communication pathway could cause hormones to go up(hyper) or down(hypo). Hormones are very sensitive to the environment especially chemicals, medications, pesticides, insecticides, toxins, etc. Chemicals in the environment are called endocrine disruptors. When dealing with either hypo or hyper hormone, support the gland and not the hormone. Adrenal Hormones Sensitivity: Stress, Emotional Stress, Loses, Physical Stress, Trauma, Surgery Estrogen: Things that are food, commercial dairy that has hormones, birth control pills, hormone replacement therapy, menopause Thyroid: 80% of the thyroid hormone (T4) has to be converted into an active form (T3) through liver, gallbladder and 20% on the kidney. Questions & Answers 218 - Candida, Hormonal Issues, Fatigue, Calories, Fructose

02:32:50
1:34 -Cassie -- I'm writing to you to just let you know that I'm extremely thankful for finding you last Oct 2012! I was diagnosed with Interstitial Cystitis, I took your basic advice of, fruit, berries, and melons, and healed myself completely in 20 days with just berries. 15:19 - Nicolas -- Can Dr. Morse look at these eye photographs? 17:32 - Steven -- Please address Candida on an all-fruit diet. Because of serious chronic fatigue. I've been detoxing on mostly fruits for more than a year now with intermittent fasting (including 30 day water fast last summer and a couple of 10 day fasts before and after) I am on my third series of 60-90 days on your herbal protocol, but I still have a coated tongue and I am weak in addition to brain fog. 39:05 - Yann -- I eat plently of bananas and greens. I eat approximately 4,000 to 4,700 calories daily. Two hours after my meal, my blood ketone is still at 0.1mmol/I. I tested my meter with a healthy person who eats plenty of calories too and he obtained 0 mmol/I. Is it a sign (ketone trace 2 hours post meal) that I don't have enough calories? 43:33 - Lori -- My issue is that although many things cleared up, some things got much worse. My hormonal issues are getting worse (My periods last for weeks) and for the first time, I am having recurring attacks of candida. I get severe "hangovers" (feels just like the worst hangover, except I'm not drinking and it lasts for 2 days at a time!) and I begin to feel very paranoid when that happens. 1:06:35 - Jamesina -- I have suffered from Chronic Fatigue for 2 decades. I am now experimenting with raw fruits. I have a simple question which is related to Citrus fruits. Both my mother and I get migraines from eating these. Oranges, Lemons, etc... I love the taste, and would love to know your ideas on why I might experience this with fruits I like the taste of. 1:09:38 - John -- My question is about post chemo care after my friend had a tumor on her left breast. Prior to this she had long term candida, and I was just in the process of helping her, when the tumor was discovered. Sadly, she panicked and went with the white coats, and now she has asked for help. 1:25:01 - Carmen -- I am anemic and I'm a vegan. I just had a recent D&C procedure done because of heavy periods. The GYN doctor wants to remove my reproductive organs and I don't want to. The GYN doctor said that either surgery or put a device called Mirena or birth control medicine. I don't want to do any of these things. 1:35:59 - Krysta -- The girl who did the 5 month grape fast. I've completely fallen from the raw diet. The fruit quality here in Boston is horrible. My symptoms are coming coming back, lower back pain, my monthly cycle has returned which I have not had since last April. My hair is falling out again, I'm starting to feel insecure about myself, I've gained a decent amount of weight back, I'm starting to have body odor again, my vitiligo still has not spread but I fear for the worst if I continue. 1:47:58 - You did a case study on my mother, Margie. She has been eating fruits, berries, and melons, with very little vegetables including beets (only because she loves them) since the beginning of December. 3 days ago she woke with a fever blister. She says is deep on the inside of her mouth. I have been putting tea tree oil on it, it's going away. This morning (1/5) she woke with a knot the size of a grape at the collarbone where it meets the sternum, the point that sticks out on us. It's hard and hurts to the touch, but no color change from her skin. Is this a clogged adrenal? 1:55:14 - Raphael -- My father is battling Lymphatic cancer. He is just about to start the herbs and has received his protocol. This is all well, but the problem is about 2 years ago before he was educated in health, the doctors told him he had a swollen lymph node in his right leg. They cut it out, now two years later the leg is swollen and inflamed and my dad can hardly walk. Please educate me on this. I really would like to see my dad get better. 2:03:39 - Daniel -- I have a quick question about "Keratosis Pilaris" or commonly referred to as chicken and rosacea. What is a great way to cleanse and release that from the body? 2:07:34 - Kim -- I would greatly appreciate exactly how fructose is utilized in the cell because I can't find it anywhere, only information that states that it is bad for you and your book doesn't elaborate on it either. It just states that it gets in by diffusion and not how it gets converted into energy like glucose does in the Krebs cycle. 2:17:50 - Adele - I'm dealing with painful intercourse since I started having sex and I don't know how to resolve this:

And sometimes it means that they have too much estrogen in their body overall, or it means they don't have enough progesterone, which is really the byproduct of healthy ovulation, they don't have enough progesterone to balance the estrogen that they do have. And so today I'm going to talk to you guys about some healthy ways to balance estrogen levels in your body.

Dr. Berg explains about the 28 day menstruation cycle process. Right at day 14, there is ovaluation. This is the day on which the person is most fertile and the egg is released in the uterus and there are high chances of getting pregnant (in a 4 day window). Most issues occur due to estrogen dominance (female hormone). Too much or too little of estrogen may cause menstruation issues. A female releases about 400 eggs in her lifetime. Ovary on the one side releases egg for one month and then the ovary on the other side releases egg the next month, which causes a stressful condition. Dr Whiting on PMS

08:45
https://phoenixvitamins.com/ (CLICK HERE TO ORDER) PMS affects many thousands of women of childbearing age. The group of symptoms, which may include bloating, fluid retention, menstrual cramps, mood swings, anxiety and other emotional issues, are often caused by an imbalance of key hormones during specific times of the menstrual cycle. Research done by the late Dr. John Lee, has shown that most women who suffer from PMS are in fact, estrogen dominant. Estrogen dominance comes about in women with PMS, when progesterone levels fall below optimal levels. This occurs most often the last 8 or 10 days prior to menstruation. Since this is the case, Dr. Lee recommended that women use a topical progesterone cream the 10 days prior to anticipated menstruation. Once the period begins, you should stop using the progesterone cream until the following month at the same time again. Symptoms such as mood swings, menstrual cramps, bloating and depression are most often the result of this hormone imbalance. Other factors that can play into PMS are the other glands such as the thyroid, adrenal, and pancreas. If you suffer from moderate to severe PMS, you may wish to check out your thyroid function and your blood sugar and insulin levels. Low blood sugar can produce similar symptoms to the PMS roller coaster. If you are under a fair amount of stress, this can over-work your adrenal glands. This can lead to anxiety and even depression. Since these organs and glands work together, checking for possible thyroid, adrenal and pancreas involvement is often beneficial.

Estrogen: How to Balance Hormones with Proper Food & Vitamins- Thomas DeLauer

Estrogen: How to Balance Hormones with Proper Food & Vitamins- Thomas DeLauer How do we balance estrogen and testosterone in our bodies and how do we know which estrogens are good or bad? You can check out more at http://www.ThomasDeLauer.com Estrogens are a group of hormones present in both women and men. Functions include: Puberty changes in women Fertility Plays a role in controlling cholesterol levels Helps bone health Affects the brain, including mood Also affects the heart, skin and other body tissues Affects heart and blood vessels In males, the maturation of sperm and labido maintenance Estrogen is produced by the ovaries, fat tissue, testis and adrenal glands. There are three kinds of estrogen: Estradiol - the primary kind of estrogen found in women during their fertile years Primarily produced in the ovaries, but also the placenta and adrenal glands Excess estradiol is implicated in many diseases, such as cancers and fibroids Found in both women and men Estriol - the estrogen associated with pregnancy A waste product of estrogen metabolism Estrone - the estrogen produced postmenopause Produced in tissues throughout the body, mainly fat and muscle tissues Known as the weakest form of estrogen Found in both women and men Estrogen levels change: Throughout the month when fertile, with peak estrogen in the middle of a woman’s menstrual cycle, signalling ovulation, and the lowest levels while bleeding. Estrogen levels drop after menopause. Problems can arise when your body produces too much or too little estrogen Too little - symptoms: Women Irregular periods Mood swings Loss of sexual desire Trouble sleeping Hot flashes Headaches Men Excess adipose tissue around the midsection Low sexual desire Too little causes: Anorexia Extreme exercise Medications Hypogonadism Post-childbirth Too much - symptoms: Women Irregular periods Weight gain Fatigue Low sex drive Depression and anxiety More intense premenstrual pain Cysts Men Erectile dysfunction Female characteristics, such as breasts Prostate enlargement and cancer Low sex drive Depression Fatigue Weight gain Too much causes: Obesity Puberty Diabetes Pregnancy High blood pressure Ovarian or adrenal gland tumors Medications When estrogen is broken down through aerobic metabolism, it can be broken into “good” or “bad” estrogen metabolites. The good metabolites, 2-hydroxyestrone (2-OHE), are estrogen antagonists. They have high antioxidant activity, providing protection for the heart and brain. The bad metabolites, 16-hydroxyestrone (16-OHE), are estrogen agonists. They have been implicated in causing cancer and weight gain. Therapies that increase the 2-OHE:16-OHE ratio are thought to decrease the risk for a number of estrogen-responsive cancers. Natural compounds found in food have been founds to be antiestrogenic and thus are being further explored to discover how to capture these benefits for possible cancer prevention and treatment. DIM (Diindolylmethane) DIM is a stable compound derived from the plant indole I3C (indole-3-carbinol) found in cruciferous vegetables. Dietary indoles found in cruciferous veggies such as broccoli and cabbage, have been found to exhibit chemoprotective and chemotherapeutic properties against many cancers. Its benefit has to do with hormone balancing. I3C has been found to decrease estrogen signaling and alter estrogen metabolism, leading to a reduced production of “bad” estrogen metabolites. DIM consumption has been linked to an increase in the production of the “good” estrogen metabolites and thus a resulting decrease in the production of the “bad” estrogen metabolites. -Increases the 2-OHE:16-OHE ratio One study on women with thyroid proliferative disease (TPD) found that supplemental DIM enhanced estrogen metabolism in such a way as to act as a dietary antiestrogenic supplement and in this way may decrease the likelihood of women to develop TPD. DIM has other hormone balancing properties and can contribute to more balanced hormones. -This more beneficial hormone balance can lead to a healthier metabolism The hormonal balance influence of DIM also positively impacts testosterone. For men, this estrogen metabolism has the added benefit of freeing up testosterone in the body. Free testosterone is important for mood, energy and labido. References: 1. Menstrual Cycle Phases | Female Reproductive System | Follicular Luteal Proliferative Secretory

15:33
Menstrual cycle explained: includes hormone phases in a woman explained (of the female reproductive system). These phases include the ovarian phases: Follicular, Ovulation, and Luteal and the uterine phases: Menstrual, Proliferative, and Secretory. A typical menstrual cycle in a woman is 28 days. The follicular phase of the ovarian cycle is approximately 1-13 cycle days and occurs simultaneously as the menstrual and proliferative phase of the uterine cycle. The menstrual phase occurs cycle days 1-6, while the proliferative phase occurs cycle days 7-14. During the menstrual phase, the stratum functionalis layer of the endometrium is shed. This phase occurs during the follicular phase. During the follicular phase the hypothalamus is releasing gonadotropin releasing hormone (GnRH) which stimulates the anterior pituitary gland to release follicular-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH). FSH stimulates the follicles in the ovary to mature. One follicle will mature into what is called a Graafian follilce which will release a mature egg called an ovum. As the follicle matures it steadily releases estrogen which causes the uterus to rebuild the stratum functionalis layer of the endometrium (during the proliferative phase) for possible implantation of a fertilized ovum. Once the Graafian follicle is mature estrogen peaks to a point where it will cause a positive feedback loop to the anterior pituitary gland which will cause a massive amount of luteinzing hormone to be release (known as the LH surge). LH causes the wall of the graafian follicle to break down and helps release the egg. Luteinizing hormone also turns the follicle into the corpus luteum. 24-36 hours after the LH surge ovulation occurs. Ovulation tends to occur on cycle day 14. Next is the luteal and secretory phase which occurs simultaneously as well. During the luteal phase, the corpus luteum is formed which releases progesterone and estrogen. These hormones play a role in making the endometrium ready for possible implantation. If pregnancy does not occur the corpus luteum will die in 14 days and turn in the corpus albicans and progestrone and estrogen levels will drop. This will signal for the hypothalamus to release GnRH which cause the anterior pituitary gland to release FSH and LH causing the reproductive cycle to start all over again. If fertilization of the ovum occurs, the fertilized egg will release HcG. HcG will prevent the corpus luteum from dying so pregnancy can be maintained. Once the placenta is fully developed it will take over with the secretion of progesterone and estrogen (which will occurs around 8 weeks gestation) and then the corpus luteum will die.
