How I lowered my dad's blood pressure, without drugs or diets ►►http://drsam.co/yt/SeeItYourself ======================================= Top 10 Causes Of High Blood Pressure ======================================= 1. AGE Most people don’t realize that AGE is one of the BIGGEST factors for high blood pressure. I discuss this in my very important article, but what’s important to note is that after the age of 40, 33% of the population has high blood pressure and after the age of 60, over 71% of the population has hypertension! So, if you’re over the age of 40 and have high blood pressure, it may not be your fault. But it IS your responsibility to fix it right away and here is how I lowered my dad’s blood pressure naturally, in just 30 days. 2. GENETICS & FAMILY HISTORY Well, not much can be done here. This is in fact my own problem because I have a family history (on my dad’s side) of hypertension, heart attacks and especially strokes. You can read more about it, include my personal favorite solution that my dad, my family and I use to promote healthy blood pressure levels, naturally! 3. SMOKING Come on people, smoking has NO health benefits. STOP smoking! 4. ALCOHOL A little bit of alcohol is okay, especially if it’s organic red wine. But drinking every night will cause damage to your heart, arteries and liver. Alcohol is a toxic and it’s acidic, both being bad for your body. 5. BEING OVERWEIGHT Similar to smoking, being overweight has no health benefits. And the older you get, the harder it is to lose that unwanted fat. 6. SODIUM Salt has its benefits actually. Regular table salt or salt found in processed foods and packages is BAD for you. However, “natural” salts such as Himalayan rock or Celtic sea salt is GOOD for you and can actually help LOWER blood pressure. I’ll discuss this in a future article. 7. STRESS Well know stress is bad. However, you can’t get rid of it. What’s important is the MEANING you give to stressful situations. If you freak out, get negative and focus on the problem the entire time … you put your body under extra stress. The secret is to focus on the SOLUTION and to know that “this too shall pass” and worrying about the problem isn’t going to help anything… Especially our blood pressure or heart. 8. LACK OF PHYSICAL ACTIVITY We sit too much these days. Just get outside and walk daily, even if it’s just for 15-20 minutes. It’ll do wonders for your physical AND mental health! 9. MEDICAL CONDITIONS This goes back to “genetics”. And if you know you have a genetic “problem”, which is making things worse, then you MUST make changes to your life-style because your body is more sensitive than the average person. This is a similar problem with my dad and why he had a stroke. 10. MEDICATION Ironically, many “heart” medications actually cause more heart PROBLEMS in the long run. They can increase your cholesterol, blood sugar or blood pressure levels. They can decrease blood flow and circulation. And they all cause extra stress on your liver and kidneys, which then cause more problems for your heart. And having hypertension is one of the leading causes of a heart attack or stroke.(1) Now, there are lots of ways to naturally lower your blood pressure and under this video, in the description area, I’ve listed some of my favorites. However, don’t go there yet because most people, including doctors, mistakenly consume less salt to lower blood pressure. However, low-salt diets typically don’t make much of a difference. What does make a big difference is lowering sugar in your diet and more specifically, “high fructose corn syrup” In a recent study in the journal Open Heart (2), the authors write: “Evidence from epidemiological studies and experimental trials in animals and humans suggests that added sugars, particularly fructose, may increase blood pressure and blood pressure variability, increase heart rate and myocardial oxygen demand, and contribute to inflammation, insulin resistance and broader metabolic dysfunction. Thus, while there is no argument that recommendations to reduce consumption of processed foods are highly appropriate and advisable, the arguments in this review are that the benefits of such recommendations have less to do with sodium—minimally related to blood pressure and perhaps even inversely related to cardiovascular risk—and more to do with highly-refined carbohydrates and sugars." The Problem Started In The 1970s Food and beverage manufacturers began switching their sweeteners from sucrose (table sugar) to corn syrup in the 1970s when they discovered that High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS) was far cheaper to use in their products. In fact, HFCS is the #1 source of calories in America!!!( 3) It’s found in almost everything you can think of. More specifically, in sodas and fruit juices. But also in many pre-packaged foods. This also includes “healthy sugars” sweetened with agave. My Proven “Prescription” and Recommendation For You You must do your best to limit and eliminate all HFCS and to do this, make sure you read labels. Again, the LESS pre-packaged the food, the better. Limit your TOTAL fructose to 25 grams or less, that’s about 100 calories daily. This includes the natural fructose found in fruits. If you are already suffering from high blood pressure or signs of insulin resistance like diabetes, overweight and high cholesterol, you should be particularly careful to limit your fructose, including that from whole fruits, to 15 grams per day or less. That’s about 60 calories daily. So there you have it. Focus more on limiting your sugars, this includes fruit sugar, fructose … and especially “high fructose corn syrup” which is found in most pre-packaged foods, especially sodas and fruit juices. Now, I wanted to keep this video short and simple so you have something to implement today and start get results right away. If you want more details on how to lower your blood pressure naturally, under this video I’ve got simple and proven solutions that you can utilize and you do NOT even have to change your diet or exercise. What REALLY Causes High Blood Pressure (Hypertension)?

Give Dr. Berg a Review: http://bit.ly/DrBergReviewGoogle VIDEOS ON INSULIN RESISTANCE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pxl8hhyN6AQ&t=1s Dr. Berg talks about the link between high blood pressure and insulin resistance. Insulin resistances, which is high insulin stiffens your arteries, disrupts the endothelial layer of your arteries, which start the hardening of the arteries as well as the cascade effect of cholesterol and calcium to accumulate in the arteries. High insulin (insulin resistance) creates inflammation in the arteries. This condition also causes sodium retention and a loss of potassium because insulin is necessary to allow this mineral in the cell. Diuretics also have a side-effect of causing insulin resistance. The treatment of hypertension is mainly medications because we are told that there is no cure, only treatment. The pathophysiology is in reality a disruption of the artery wall creating vasoconstriction, stiffness and less elasticity. The additional symptom of hypertension is headaches and a risk for stroke and heart attack. The home remedies involve actions to lower insulin - cutting out sugar, adding vegetables to get your potassium and even apple cider vinegar can help. Check out our new website http://www.rehealthify.com/ Rehealthify offers reliable, up-to-date health information, anytime, anywhere, for free. Allergy (also called: Hypertension) -- video script below -- Blood pressure is the force of your blood pushing against the walls of your arteries. Each time your heart beats, it pumps blood into the arteries. Your blood pressure is highest when your heart beats, pumping the blood. This is called systolic pressure. When your heart is at rest, between beats, your blood pressure falls. This is called diastolic pressure. Your blood pressure reading uses these two numbers. Usually the systolic number comes before or above the diastolic number. A reading of 119/79 or lower is normal blood pressure 140/90 or higher is high blood pressure Between 120 and 139 for the top number, or between 80 and 89 for the bottom number is called prehypertension. Prehypertension means you may end up with high blood pressure, unless you take steps to prevent it. High blood pressure usually has no symptoms, but it can cause serious problems such as stroke, heart failure, heart attack and kidney failure. You can control high blood pressure through healthy lifestyle habits and taking medicines, if needed. NIH: National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute

What Causes Hypertension [2018] High Blood Pressure Symptoms

What Causes Hypertension? I'm Dr. Frita. Did you know that high blood pressure is a leading cause of heart disease and heart failure, and the number two cause of kidney failure? __________ Subscribe so you’ll never miss my latest videos. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCBve_ppCNE67fs3MsIocitg?sub_confirmation=1 Be sure to follow me on: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/dr.frita/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Dr.Frita Twitter: https://twitter.com/DrFrita __________ Do you know why they call hypertension the silent killer? Blood pressure. Don't let it get high off your own supply. Today, I will give a general overview of hypertension or high blood pressure. I will discuss the definition of hypertension, which actually just changed in 2017 based on the recommendations of the American College of Cardiologist and the American Heart Association. I will also talk about the consequences of poorly controlled blood pressure. And I will talk about how to prevent hypertension by not letting your blood pressure get high off your own supply. Don't let it get high off your own supply. So what is hypertension or high blood pressure? Hypertension or high blood pressure is when you have an elevated pressure in the blood vessels. We measure blood pressure with two numbers. There is that top number, or the systolic blood pressure and the bottom number, or the diastolic blood pressure. The systolic blood pressure, that top number, measures the pressure in your blood vessels while the heart is contracting or squeezing. That bottom number, the diastolic blood pressure measures the pressure within your blood vessels while the heart is relaxed. Normal blood pressure is when the systolic blood pressure is less than 120, and when the diastolic blood pressure is less than 80. You have elevated blood pressure when the systolic blood pressure is between 120 and 129, and when the diastolic blood pressure is still less than 80. So yes, with the new definitions you have elevated blood pressure when your systolic blood pressure, that top number, is between 120 and 129. So now, what is the definition of hypertension? It's when the systolic blood pressure is 130 or greater, and when the diastolic blood pressure is 90 or greater. What are the consequences of poorly controlled blood pressure? Well, heart disease, heart failure, stroke. And again, poorly controlled hypertension can lead to kidney failure. Hypertension is the second most common cause of kidney failure in the United States. What are the symptoms of hypertension? Well sure, you can get headaches. Some people will even get shortness of breath. There are different symptoms that you can get with severe high blood pressure. But the most common symptom of hypertension is nothing. So you could be walking around here with dangerously elevated blood pressures with no symptoms whatsoever, and that's why they call hypertension the silent killer. What can you do to prevent high blood pressure? Well, you can prevent it by not letting your blood pressure get high off your own supply. Don't let your blood pressure get high off your own supply. What is your own supply? Your own supply refers to the foods and the habits you have, which may be putting you at risk for hypertension. For example, if you sat down at the breakfast table and had five slices of bacon this morning, and then you checked your blood pressure and found out that it was elevated. Well, your blood pressure might be high off your own supply of bacon. What are some other things you may be supplying to your blood pressure to make it high? Number one, salt, or sodium. Don't let your blood pressure get high off your own supply of salt. Now when I ask most of my patients if they have a low salt diet, they immediately respond, "Oh yes, Dr. Frita. I never add salt to my food. I don't even pick up the salt shaker. And they're usually very proud of themselves. But once I delve a little deeper into their diet history I find that most of them have high sodium diets. So now I've given you a general overview of hypertension. We talked about the definition of hypertension. What causes Hypertension. When that top number is 130 or greater, or when that bottom number is 90 or greater. We talked about the consequences of hypertension, heart disease, stroke, kidney failure. We also talked about the most common high blood pressure symptoms. Nothing. We talked about how to prevent high blood pressure by not letting your blood pressure get high off your own supply. I want you to please comment down below. Please like my video. Share my video. And let me know whatever else you want me to discuss. I love hearing from you. Remember, prioritize yourself. Go to your doctor. Find out if you have high blood pressure, or if you're at risk. Strive to be a healthier, happier you. I'm Dr. Frita.

Apple Cider Vinegar High Blood Pressure Remedy

02:17
Apple Cider Vinegar is the newly found high blood pressure remedy as clearly explained in http://www.stophighbloodpressure.com. High blood pressure or hypertension is a tremendously common ailment that affects both men and women similarly. The standard medical treatment for elevated blood pressure is to stipulate dangerous statin drugs and convince the patient to restrict salt in their diet. Even though the medication part can help to lower a person’s high blood pressure, it does nothing at all to fix the core problem. Yes, you may now lower your blood pressure by consuming apple cider vinegar. Other herbs, foods and dietary changes can assist in increasing the effectiveness of the vinegar. You can take a shot of it diluted in water or use it as a seasoning on uncooked or lightly cooked foods. Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) benefit on blood pressure is substantiated or or confirmed by scientific evidence. Experts suggest hypertensive patients to take 1 tbsp of apple cider vinegar and 1 tbsp of honey in a glass of water twice a day to lower high blood pressure. They suggest that potassium in the vinegar ‘balances sodium levels in the body, which aids in maintaining blood pressure within healthy limits’ and ‘apple cider vinegar and honey also contain magnesium, a mineral that works to relax blood vessel walls and thus lower high blood pressure’. Dietary modifications and daily exercise should be done along with Apple Cide Vinegar remedy.

15 Foods to Avoid if You Have High Blood Pressure

04:07
15 Foods to Avoid if You Have High Blood Pressure 15. Deli Meat Processed deli and lunch meats you buy to make sandwiches can quickly become a sodium trap. Deli meats are often cured, seasoned, and preserved with salt to last longer. A two-ounce serving of some lunch meats could contain about 600 milligrams of sodium or more. 14. Chinese Take-out It's about the sodium. Some food items could contain more than two days' worth of sodium! 13. Frozen Pizza It's an easy and inexpensive dinner, right? All you have to do is turn your oven on to 425 degrees, and pop that baby in until the cheese starts to melt and the crust turns golden brown. 12. Baked Goods Those packed glossy sweet goods that sometimes come with colorful icing and sprinkles are enticing, but with salted saturated fats, sugar, and sodium-rich leavening agents, they are anything but good for you. 11. Canned Tomato Products Both canned tomato sauce and canned tomato juice are loaded with sodium. One cup of tomato juice has 680 milligrams of sodium, while one serving of spaghetti with meat sauce contains 1,300 milligrams of sodium. 10. Red Meat A big Texas-sized steak with salt for dinner is a no-no. A healthy eating plan should have only a small amount, if any, of saturated or trans-fats. Fatty foods are bad for both the heart and blood vessels. 9. Sauerkraut Here is a less obvious no-no. It is low in calories and a way to add vegetables to a bratwurst, but it also has over 460 mg of sodium in one serving. 8. Ramen Noodles Ramen noodles, cup noodles or any another pre-packaged noodle meal is popular among college students and lazy adults but highly damaging to your body. 7. Alcohol Everybody loves happy hour, but alcohol consumption actively causes blood pressure to elevate. It also damages the walls of the blood vessels while simultaneously increasing risks of further complications, making it a horrible choice for adults with high blood pressure. 6. Bacon To be quite frank, bacon is mostly fat. Three slices have 4.5 grams of fat and about 270 mg of sodium, and most people eat way more than that at breakfast or in those B.L.T. sandwiches. 5. Donuts Oh no! The donuts you love are indeed one of the foods to avoid if you have high blood pressure or just want to be a healthy person. The ring-shaped fried dough snack is worse than many other snacks in the market. 4. Frozen Pot Pies A single serving of pot pie equals about 1,400 mg of sodium in addition to about 35 grams of fat. That's more than 50% of your daily recommended intake for both, and in one serving. 3. Whole Milk Didn't expect to see this one on the list, did you? Milk is a great source of calcium, but high-fat dairy sources, like whole milk, provides you more fat than you need. One cup serving of whole milk has about 8 grams of fat, 5 grams of which are saturated. 2. Canned Chicken Noodle Soup The perfect food for those cold rainy days is far from perfect for people with high blood pressure. On average, a cup of canned chicken noodle soup contains as much as 760 mg of sodium. Eat an entire can, which makes about two and a half servings, will have you gulping down 1,800 mg of sodium. 1. Pickles The crunchy, low-calorie snack is a great complement to your sandwich order except for the fact that it's loaded with sodium. How Does Salt (Sodium) Raise Your Blood Pressure?

SUBSCRIBE: https://www.youtube.com/user/DrJohnKiel FACEBOOK: https://www.facebook.com/medicinelifestyle TWITTER: https://twitter.com/LifestyleMedYou I wanted to take a moment to talk about salt and it's effects on your body. Specifically, I wanted to talk about how it can raise your blood pressure. By better understanding the effects of salt on your blood pressure, you may be better able to manage that aspect of your health moving forward. Before I get started, I want to mention that salt has many roles in the human body and I'm going to specifically focus on blood pressure in this lecture. In a nutshell, sodium (or Na+), which I'll just refer to as salt ( NaCl) for now, helps your kidneys retain water. This serves a very essential function to our overall health and well being. The salt circulating in our bloodstream, and in the rest of our body, helps keep our circulatory system filled and allows the heart to do its job of delivering oxygen around the body. It is the job of your kidneys to regulate the amount of salt in your circulatory system. If total salt goes up, your kidneys will filter more out. If total salt goes down, those filters will close and your body will try to retain salt. This affects your blood pressure directly because the water "follows" the salt if you will. It does this through a physical process called osmosis. According to the American Heart Association, we require about 1500 mgs of salt per day. As Americans, we consume about 3,400 mg/day, more than twice what we need. Furthermore, 75% of the salt we consume comes from processed food and restaurant, and less than 25% from what we add ourselves. It's also worth noting that some people are more sensitive to salt intake than others. So if you have no heart or kidney problems, you're most likely able to filter out the excess salt. However, if you have heart or kidney issues, or you are particularly sensitive, then the excess salt can start causing problems and potentially damage some of your organ systems. Salt has several names including sodium, Na, Na+, NaCl, KCl and low sodium. Unsalted, no salt added, sodium free are terms you should look for on a nutrition facts label. Elevated sodium levels are associated with heart disease, heart attack, myocardial infarction, CAD or coronary artery disease, embolisms and blood clots, brain disease, stroke, dementia, vascular disease, atherosclerosis, arteriosclerosis, arteriostenosis, kidney disease, kidney failure, osteoporosis, stomach cancer, kidney stones and headaches. Symptoms of too much salt include dehydration, bloating, puffiness, weight gain, increased thirst, and excessive thirst. There are many ways to lower, decrease salt intake. One example is DASH diet or dietary approaches to stop hypertension (high blood pressure).

What are the Risks of Not Treating High Blood Pressure? - Hypertension Effects Animation HT Dangers

00:27
If left untreated, hypertension can lead to the thickening of arterial walls causing its lumen, or blood passage way, to narrow in diameter. As a result, the heart must work harder to pump blood through the narrowed arterial openings. In addition, people with hypertension may be more susceptible to stroke. High blood pressure dangers: Hypertension's effects on your body High blood pressure is a risk factor for more than heart disease. Discover what complications high blood pressure can cause. High blood pressure (hypertension) can quietly damage your body for years before symptoms develop. Left uncontrolled, you may wind up with a disability, a poor quality of life or even a fatal heart attack. Fortunately, with treatment and lifestyle changes, you can control your high blood pressure to reduce your risk of life-threatening complications. Here's a look at the complications high blood pressure can cause when it's not effectively controlled. Damage to your arteries Healthy arteries are flexible, strong and elastic. Their inner lining is smooth so that blood flows freely, supplying vital organs and tissues with adequate nutrients and oxygen. If you have high blood pressure, the increased pressure of blood flowing through your arteries gradually can cause a variety of problems, including: Artery damage and narrowing. High blood pressure can damage the cells of your arteries' inner lining. That launches a cascade of events that make artery walls thick and stiff, a disease called arteriosclerosis (ahr-teer-e-o-skluh-ROE-sis), or hardening of the arteries. Fats from your diet enter your bloodstream, pass through the damaged cells and collect to start atherosclerosis (ath-ur-o-skluh-ROE-sis). These changes can affect arteries throughout your body, blocking blood flow to your heart, kidneys, brain, arms and legs. The damage can cause many problems, including chest pain (angina), heart attack, heart failure, kidney failure, stroke, blocked arteries in your legs or arms (peripheral artery disease), eye damage, and aneurysms. Aneurysm. Over time, the constant pressure of blood moving through a weakened artery can cause a section of its wall to enlarge and form a bulge (aneurysm). An aneurysm (AN-yoo-riz-um) can potentially rupture and cause life-threatening internal bleeding. Aneurysms can form in any artery throughout your body, but they're most common in the aorta, your body's largest artery. Damage to your heart Your heart pumps blood to your entire body. Uncontrolled high blood pressure can damage your heart in a number of ways, such as: Coronary artery disease. Coronary artery disease affects the arteries that supply blood to your heart muscle. Arteries narrowed by coronary artery disease don't allow blood to flow freely through your arteries. When blood can't flow freely to your heart, you can experience chest pain, a heart attack or irregular heart rhythms (arrhythmias). Enlarged left heart. High blood pressure forces your heart to work harder than necessary in order to pump blood to the rest of your body. This causes the left ventricle to thicken or stiffen (left ventricular hypertrophy). These changes limit the ventricle's ability to pump blood to your body. This condition increases your risk of heart attack, heart failure and sudden cardiac death. Heart failure. Over time, the strain on your heart caused by high blood pressure can cause your heart muscle to weaken and work less efficiently. Eventually, your overwhelmed heart simply begins to wear out and fail. Damage from heart attacks adds to this problem. Damage to your brain Just like your heart, your brain depends on a nourishing blood supply to work properly and survive. But high blood pressure can cause several problems, including: Transient ischemic attack (TIA). Sometimes called a ministroke, a transient ischemic (is-KEE-mik) attack is a brief, temporary disruption of blood supply to your brain. It's often caused by atherosclerosis or a blood clot — both of which can arise from high blood pressure. A transient ischemic attack is often a warning that you're at risk of a full-blown stroke. Stroke. A stroke occurs when part of your brain is deprived of oxygen and nutrients, causing brain cells to die. Uncontrolled high blood pressure can lead to stroke by damaging and weakening your brain's blood vessels, causing them to narrow, rupture or leak. High blood pressure can also cause blood clots to form in the arteries leading to your brain, blocking blood flow and potentially causing a stroke.

Causes of High Diastolic Blood Pressure - What Does High Diastolic Blood Pressure Really Mean?

03:13
Watch it !!! http://bit.ly/29kvGJS ★ A Breakthrough in diabetes has been achieved ► Read On To Find Out Exactly How You Can Change Your Life By Following A Simple Diet That Anyone Can Do... Causes of High Diastolic Blood Pressure Nearly 1 in 3 American adults has high blood pressure. Your heart has to work harder when blood pressure is high, and your risk for heart disease, stroke and other problems goes up. High blood pressure won't go away without treatment. That could include lifestyle changes and, if your doctor prescribes it, medicine. What Is Blood Pressure? Blood pressure is the force of blood flow inside your blood vessels. Your doctor records your blood pressure as two numbers, such as 120/80, which you may hear them say as "120 over 80." Both numbers are important. The first number is the pressure as your heart beats and pushes blood through the blood vessels. Health care providers call this the "systolic" pressure. The second number is the pressure when the vessels relax between heartbeats. It's called the "diastolic" pressure. Here's what the numbers mean: Healthy blood pressure: below 120/80 Early high blood pressure: between 120/80 and 140/90 High blood pressure: 140/90 or higher The lower your blood pressure, the better your chances of delaying or preventing a heart attack or a stroke. When your blood moves through your vessels with too much force, you have high blood pressure or hypertension. Your heart has to work harder when blood pressure is high, and your risk for heart disease and diabetes goes up. High blood pressure raises your risk for heart attack, stroke, eye problems and kidney disease. High blood pressure is a problem that won't go away without treatment and changes to your diet and lifestyle. You should always have an idea of what your blood pressure is, just as you know your height and weight. How will I know if I have high blood pressure? High blood pressure is a silent problem — you won't know you have it unless your health care provider checks your blood pressure. Have your blood pressure checked at each regular health care visit, or at least once every two years (people without diabetes or other risk factors for heart disease). What can I do about high blood pressure? Here are some easy tips to help reduce your blood pressure: Work with your health care provider to find a treatment plan that's right for you. Eat whole-grain breads and cereals. Try herbs and spices instead of salt to flavor foods. Check food labels and choose foods with less than 400 mg of sodium per serving. Lose weight or take steps to prevent weight gain. Limit alcohol consumption and consult your health care provider about whether it is safe to drink alcohol at all. If you smoke, get help to quit. Ask your health care provider about medications to help reduce high blood pressure. Samples of these types of medications include ACE inhibitors, ARBs, beta blockers, calcium channel blockers and diuretics. source:http://www.diabetes.org Topic are cover: causes of high blood pressure high blood pressure causes cause of high blood pressure what cause high blood pressure causes for high blood pressure causes high blood pressure what causes high diastolic blood pressure high diastolic blood pressure causes causes of high diastolic blood pressure what are the causes of high blood pressure high diastolic pressure causes what are causes of high blood pressure what causes blood pressure to be high what can cause high blood pressure readings http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GA76U-q15HU

What damage can a high blood pressure cause?

01:43
Dr James Thompson is a UK-based GP. He will answer all of your questions about medical and health issues. You are welcome to use all or part of this transcript if referring to Dr James Thompson and askdocjames.com High blood pressure can give you symptoms, which include headaches and palpitations. However often high blood pressure can be symptomless and this is one of the problems with the condition. Uncontrolled high blood pressure can significantly increase your risk of heart attacks and strokes. It does this by slowly depositing a fatty tissue called atheroma into your arteries. This leads to them thickening, reducing the flow of blood as a result. Uncontrolled blood pressure means that your blood pressure measurements are higher than one hundred and forty over ninety. To understand these figures more watch my video "What is blood pressure?" These numbers may need to be even lower if you have diabetes. You may then be given medication to lower your blood pressure. Your medication is unlikely to make you feel any different but it is important that you keep taking it as lowering your blood pressure will lower your risk of problems. If you are diagnosed with high blood pressure, your Doctor is going to want to keep an eye on you so expect to be invited for at least annual reviews to check your blood pressure. They are also going to want to check you over for other risk factors such as heart attacks and strokes, diabetes and high cholesterol. I would strongly urge you to quit smoking if you are a smoker especially if you are diagnosed with high blood pressure.

No Caffeine Day 2 - Caffeine and High Blood Pressure

04:14
Hey Guys, This is my Day 2 of no coffeine! I also discuss how caffeine can cause or affect high blood pressure. First off, today went pretty good. Got off work early so wasnt tempted to drink soda. Me and my wife grabbed some breakfast burritos and came home to relax. Was a little uncomfortable because I would usually have my 2 cups of coffee with my breakfast while watching my morning sports shows, but i got through it ok. One of the effects of caffeine is that it can have an impact on your blood pressure. If you are a daily caffeine consumer, then it wont raise your blood pressure significantly. This generally happens to those who rarely drink caffeinated drinks like coffee, energy drinks, soda, or energy shots. If you already suffer from high blood pressure or hypertension, have had a heart attack or stroke, or suffer from another type of heart disease, then limiting or cutting caffeine out of your like all together might be the best option. Even a small raise in blood pressure can cause problems for someone who has hypertension. http://www.rxwiki.com/articles/news_story Ask a pharmacist your questions now! http://www.rxwiki.com/askrx/questions Most people turn towards over-the counter decongestants when they have a stuffy nose or congestion. Unfortunately, if you have high blood pressure you should avoid these products. That is because decongestants work to relieve congestion by shrinking blood vessels in the nasal membranes of the nose and air passages. These changes may affect blood vessels in locations other than the nose resulting in increased blood pressure. Decongestant examples are pseudoephedrine, phenylephrine, and oxymetazoline. Decongestants in oral and nasal form can affect your blood pressure so it is recommended to try alternative options. Saline nasal spray is a great option to flush your sinuses. Drinking plenty of fluids, especially water, and getting rest are also important steps to helping your congestion. If you still experience bothersome nasal congestion, talk to your pharmacist or doctor for advice.

What Causes High Blood Pressure FREE 15min Consultation: http://eastwesthealing.com/get-start-with-a-private-consultation Visit https://eastwesthealingandperformance.leadpages.net/srmyoutube/ to download your FREE e-book! Hypothyroid people have low BP initially from adrenal insufficiency (blood sugar handling issues), which creates low circulating BV through loss of Na (holds water in the body). The kidneys and body compensate by producing more angiotensin, which raises BP. With hypothyroidism and the compensation with adrenaline, blood is shunted from extremities to the core, which raises BP through pushing blood through small network of vessels. All this is due to the body trying to raise blood sugar. ================================================ Click Below To SUBSCRIBE for more Videos: http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=joshrubineastwest ================================================ Josh and Jeanne Rubin "Revolutionizing Nutrition For Thyroid Health" http://www.eastwesthealing.com The Metabolic Blueprint Cookbook http://www.thembcookbook.com The Metabolic Blueprint Program http://www.themetabolicblueprint.com Fight Fatigue With Food Program http://www.fightfatiguewithfood.com Amazon eBooks http://amzn.to/17NIYg4 ==================================================== Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/eastwesthealingperformance Twitter: https://twitter.com/eastwesthealing ===================================================== What Causes High Blood Pressure https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F2nlJLK_7ds Check out our last video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MkkEP41K0VA

Low Blood Pressure caused by Adrenal Fatigue

06:03
https://www.drlam.com/blog/signs-symptoms-low-blood-pressure-causes-correlation-adrenal-fatigue/19097/ This is Dr. Lam, founder of DrLam.com and today we are going to talk about low blood pressure consistently. Now, blood pressure is an automatically regulated mechanism in our body. It is designed to provide oxygen through blood, through our brain, as well as various parts of our body. The regulation of blood pressure falls within many factors. Blood volume can effect the blood pressure, the endothelial wall of the blood vessel itself constricting and dialating through what we call baroreceptors or blood pressure sensitive receptors can help modulate the blood pressure, and of course electrolytes and the sodium balance can also play an important factor. The organs responsible including the kidneys, the adrenals, as well as the brain, can also make a big factor in regulating the blood pressure on a 24/7 basis without us knowing. Of course we can not discount the role that the heart plays as well. So maintaining normal blood pressure is a very important part of survival. Just going from a sitting to a standing position requires that it activates all the systems in various degrees so that we can stand up, not feel dizzy, and are able to walk and not feel dizzy and then have normal activity. Any time the blood pressure is not regular the brain is not getting enough profusion or blood flow, and then the body will suffer. In the case of adrenal fatigue, what happens is, because the adrenal glands regulate the sodium and potassium balance, there is a tendancy, as the adrenals get weaker, that the body is not able to regulate this as much as it should. As a result, the sodium is usually lost through the deficieny or the subclinical effectiveness of aldosterone: the hormone that is regulating the blood flow and the water flow. Now this hormone is critical because in adrenal fatigue this hormone aldosterone tends to be low. As a result the sodium is not going to be easily maintained in the body. At this time the labratory values may be the same, or when I say the same I mean normal. People come in a lot of them with low blood pressure because they are losing sodium, and without sodium your water does not flow. So in other words the water stays with the sodium, wherever the sodium goes the water goes. So as long as the sodium is high the water will be retained in the body. When the sodium is low then the body will tend to lose water, and if you lose water, then your blood pressure will go down; it will stay down consistently. That is why many people with low blood pressure tend to do better when they eat more salt they can be perked up and feel much better. But of course, you have to be careful because too much salt can lead to another set of problems including hypertension, as well as swelling in the legs, what we call edema. So first we have to understand that low blood pressure is a symptom and not a disease. Number two you have to look at the big picture of how everything else comes together. In an adrenal fatigue situation, oftentimes low blood pressure does not stand alone; it comes along with other clinical signs and symptoms that you have to put the pieces together. It is one of many symptoms that presents itself. Usually the more advanced the adrenal fatigue the more prominent this is. A very interesting thing that you also have to understand is that in the early stages of adrenal fatigue, blood pressure tends to rise because of the vessel constriction of blood vessels narrowing as a result of hormones; and then in later stages it tends to go down. So if you look at the blood pressure, it can be high and still have adrenal fatigue in early stages, if it stays low consistently then it could mean the body is in a state of advanced adrenal fatigue if all other medical workup is normal. So, low blood pressure constistently is an important symptom to look for in adrenal fatigue and it points us to the underlying dysfunction that is maybe happening in the adrenal glands.
