How I lowered my dad's blood pressure, without drugs or diets ►►http://drsam.co/yt/SeeItYourself ======================================= Top 10 Causes Of High Blood Pressure ======================================= 1. AGE Most people don’t realize that AGE is one of the BIGGEST factors for high blood pressure. I discuss this in my very important article, but what’s important to note is that after the age of 40, 33% of the population has high blood pressure and after the age of 60, over 71% of the population has hypertension! So, if you’re over the age of 40 and have high blood pressure, it may not be your fault. But it IS your responsibility to fix it right away and here is how I lowered my dad’s blood pressure naturally, in just 30 days. 2. GENETICS & FAMILY HISTORY Well, not much can be done here. This is in fact my own problem because I have a family history (on my dad’s side) of hypertension, heart attacks and especially strokes. You can read more about it, include my personal favorite solution that my dad, my family and I use to promote healthy blood pressure levels, naturally! 3. SMOKING Come on people, smoking has NO health benefits. STOP smoking! 4. ALCOHOL A little bit of alcohol is okay, especially if it’s organic red wine. But drinking every night will cause damage to your heart, arteries and liver. Alcohol is a toxic and it’s acidic, both being bad for your body. 5. BEING OVERWEIGHT Similar to smoking, being overweight has no health benefits. And the older you get, the harder it is to lose that unwanted fat. 6. SODIUM Salt has its benefits actually. Regular table salt or salt found in processed foods and packages is BAD for you. However, “natural” salts such as Himalayan rock or Celtic sea salt is GOOD for you and can actually help LOWER blood pressure. I’ll discuss this in a future article. 7. STRESS Well know stress is bad. However, you can’t get rid of it. What’s important is the MEANING you give to stressful situations. If you freak out, get negative and focus on the problem the entire time … you put your body under extra stress. The secret is to focus on the SOLUTION and to know that “this too shall pass” and worrying about the problem isn’t going to help anything… Especially our blood pressure or heart. 8. LACK OF PHYSICAL ACTIVITY We sit too much these days. Just get outside and walk daily, even if it’s just for 15-20 minutes. It’ll do wonders for your physical AND mental health! 9. MEDICAL CONDITIONS This goes back to “genetics”. And if you know you have a genetic “problem”, which is making things worse, then you MUST make changes to your life-style because your body is more sensitive than the average person. This is a similar problem with my dad and why he had a stroke. 10. MEDICATION Ironically, many “heart” medications actually cause more heart PROBLEMS in the long run. They can increase your cholesterol, blood sugar or blood pressure levels. They can decrease blood flow and circulation. And they all cause extra stress on your liver and kidneys, which then cause more problems for your heart. And having hypertension is one of the leading causes of a heart attack or stroke.(1) Now, there are lots of ways to naturally lower your blood pressure and under this video, in the description area, I’ve listed some of my favorites. However, don’t go there yet because most people, including doctors, mistakenly consume less salt to lower blood pressure. However, low-salt diets typically don’t make much of a difference. What does make a big difference is lowering sugar in your diet and more specifically, “high fructose corn syrup” In a recent study in the journal Open Heart (2), the authors write: “Evidence from epidemiological studies and experimental trials in animals and humans suggests that added sugars, particularly fructose, may increase blood pressure and blood pressure variability, increase heart rate and myocardial oxygen demand, and contribute to inflammation, insulin resistance and broader metabolic dysfunction. Thus, while there is no argument that recommendations to reduce consumption of processed foods are highly appropriate and advisable, the arguments in this review are that the benefits of such recommendations have less to do with sodium—minimally related to blood pressure and perhaps even inversely related to cardiovascular risk—and more to do with highly-refined carbohydrates and sugars." The Problem Started In The 1970s Food and beverage manufacturers began switching their sweeteners from sucrose (table sugar) to corn syrup in the 1970s when they discovered that High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS) was far cheaper to use in their products. In fact, HFCS is the #1 source of calories in America!!!( 3) It’s found in almost everything you can think of. More specifically, in sodas and fruit juices. But also in many pre-packaged foods. This also includes “healthy sugars” sweetened with agave. My Proven “Prescription” and Recommendation For You You must do your best to limit and eliminate all HFCS and to do this, make sure you read labels. Again, the LESS pre-packaged the food, the better. Limit your TOTAL fructose to 25 grams or less, that’s about 100 calories daily. This includes the natural fructose found in fruits. If you are already suffering from high blood pressure or signs of insulin resistance like diabetes, overweight and high cholesterol, you should be particularly careful to limit your fructose, including that from whole fruits, to 15 grams per day or less. That’s about 60 calories daily. So there you have it. Focus more on limiting your sugars, this includes fruit sugar, fructose … and especially “high fructose corn syrup” which is found in most pre-packaged foods, especially sodas and fruit juices. Now, I wanted to keep this video short and simple so you have something to implement today and start get results right away. If you want more details on how to lower your blood pressure naturally, under this video I’ve got simple and proven solutions that you can utilize and you do NOT even have to change your diet or exercise. What REALLY Causes High Blood Pressure (Hypertension)?

Give Dr. Berg a Review: http://bit.ly/DrBergReviewGoogle VIDEOS ON INSULIN RESISTANCE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pxl8h... Dr. Berg talks about the link between high blood pressure and insulin resistance. Insulin resistances, which is high insulin stiffens your arteries, disrupts the endothelial layer of your arteries, which start the hardening of the arteries as well as the cascade effect of cholesterol and calcium to accumulate in the arteries. High insulin (insulin resistance) creates inflammation in the arteries. This condition also causes sodium retention and a loss of potassium because insulin is necessary to allow this mineral in the cell. Diuretics also have a side-effect of causing insulin resistance. The treatment of hypertension is mainly medications because we are told that there is no cure, only treatment. The pathophysiology is in reality a disruption of the artery wall creating vasoconstriction, stiffness and less elasticity. The additional symptom of hypertension is headaches and a risk for stroke and heart attack. The home remedies involve actions to lower insulin - cutting out sugar, adding vegetables to get your potassium and even apple cider vinegar can help. What Causes Hypertension [2018] High Blood Pressure Symptoms

13:20
What Causes Hypertension? I'm Dr. Frita. Did you know that high blood pressure is a leading cause of heart disease and heart failure, and the number two cause of kidney failure? __________ Subscribe so you’ll never miss my latest videos. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCBve_ppCNE67fs3MsIocitg?sub_confirmation=1 Be sure to follow me on: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/dr.frita/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Dr.Frita Twitter: https://twitter.com/DrFrita __________ Do you know why they call hypertension the silent killer? Blood pressure. Don't let it get high off your own supply. Today, I will give a general overview of hypertension or high blood pressure. I will discuss the definition of hypertension, which actually just changed in 2017 based on the recommendations of the American College of Cardiologist and the American Heart Association. I will also talk about the consequences of poorly controlled blood pressure. And I will talk about how to prevent hypertension by not letting your blood pressure get high off your own supply. Don't let it get high off your own supply. So what is hypertension or high blood pressure? Hypertension or high blood pressure is when you have an elevated pressure in the blood vessels. We measure blood pressure with two numbers. There is that top number, or the systolic blood pressure and the bottom number, or the diastolic blood pressure. The systolic blood pressure, that top number, measures the pressure in your blood vessels while the heart is contracting or squeezing. That bottom number, the diastolic blood pressure measures the pressure within your blood vessels while the heart is relaxed. Normal blood pressure is when the systolic blood pressure is less than 120, and when the diastolic blood pressure is less than 80. You have elevated blood pressure when the systolic blood pressure is between 120 and 129, and when the diastolic blood pressure is still less than 80. So yes, with the new definitions you have elevated blood pressure when your systolic blood pressure, that top number, is between 120 and 129. So now, what is the definition of hypertension? It's when the systolic blood pressure is 130 or greater, and when the diastolic blood pressure is 90 or greater. What are the consequences of poorly controlled blood pressure? Well, heart disease, heart failure, stroke. And again, poorly controlled hypertension can lead to kidney failure. Hypertension is the second most common cause of kidney failure in the United States. What are the symptoms of hypertension? Well sure, you can get headaches. Some people will even get shortness of breath. There are different symptoms that you can get with severe high blood pressure. But the most common symptom of hypertension is nothing. So you could be walking around here with dangerously elevated blood pressures with no symptoms whatsoever, and that's why they call hypertension the silent killer. What can you do to prevent high blood pressure? Well, you can prevent it by not letting your blood pressure get high off your own supply. Don't let your blood pressure get high off your own supply. What is your own supply? Your own supply refers to the foods and the habits you have, which may be putting you at risk for hypertension. For example, if you sat down at the breakfast table and had five slices of bacon this morning, and then you checked your blood pressure and found out that it was elevated. Well, your blood pressure might be high off your own supply of bacon. What are some other things you may be supplying to your blood pressure to make it high? Number one, salt, or sodium. Don't let your blood pressure get high off your own supply of salt. Now when I ask most of my patients if they have a low salt diet, they immediately respond, "Oh yes, Dr. Frita. I never add salt to my food. I don't even pick up the salt shaker. And they're usually very proud of themselves. But once I delve a little deeper into their diet history I find that most of them have high sodium diets. So now I've given you a general overview of hypertension. We talked about the definition of hypertension. What causes Hypertension. When that top number is 130 or greater, or when that bottom number is 90 or greater. We talked about the consequences of hypertension, heart disease, stroke, kidney failure. We also talked about the most common high blood pressure symptoms. Nothing. We talked about how to prevent high blood pressure by not letting your blood pressure get high off your own supply. I want you to please comment down below. Please like my video. Share my video. And let me know whatever else you want me to discuss. I love hearing from you. Remember, prioritize yourself. Go to your doctor. Find out if you have high blood pressure, or if you're at risk. Strive to be a healthier, happier you. I'm Dr. Frita.

Plus, high blood pressure causes fatigue, hair loss, impotence, memory problems, inflammation and lots of other ailments that negatively affect the quality of your life. And personally speaking, this is very important for me because I have a family history of high blood pressure. The shocking statistics reveal that 33% of Americans over the age of 20 have high blood pressure.1 And 90% have hypertension by age 65.1,2 And worst of all, 72% of people don’t even know they have high blood pressure.2 And the bigger problem is that high blood pressure has no warning signs or symptoms. People think high blood pressure causes headaches or dizziness, but these are rare. So What’s The Solution? Okay, so now we know just how bad it is – so, what are the solutions? In a previous video I’ve covered all the various drug options and how they all have negative side-effects. They’re okay to short term to quickly lower extremely high blood pressure. However, it’s not a long-term solution by any means. Lifestyle improvements – Better diet, more exercise, stress management and losing weight are all very important – simply for a healthier life. And I’ve covered this topic in a previous video as well. Unfortunately, for many people – lifestyle improvements take a lot of effort, time and money. Additionally, the resulting lower blood pressure isn’t very big. So people are left disappointed and frustrated. A Faster, Easier Solution And this is where supplements come in. The correct herbal extracts, vitamins and minerals, can dramatically improve your blood pressure quickly and naturally, in a short amount of time … with the least amount of effort. And because of this, people are able to lower their blood pressure and KEEP it at a healthy level daily, month after month… year after year. So in doing the research for myself and my family, I discovered 10 natural ingredients that are clinically proven to lower blood pressure: Let’s first start with the top 5 clinically proven herbal extracts. Grape Seed Extract English Hawthorn Berry Extract Celery Seed Extract Pomegranate Extract Lycopene Extract Let’s not forget our vitamins and minerals. The top 5 most important ones are: Magnesium blend - There are many forms of magnesium and each has a different function, bioavailability and absorption factor. Potassium is very important because it balances sodium, which causes water retention and higher blood pressure levels. It’s a natural diuretic. Vitamin D3, B6 and C work together to improve stress hormones such as cortisol and aldosterone levels, both causing hypertension. And finally, one of my favorite amino acids, L-Arginine. ======================================== Thank you for watching. Please feel free to comment, like or share with your friends. Can Stress Cause High Blood Pressure?

02:21
Learn how stress can cause high blood pressure and what you can do to lower your high blood pressure. High blood pressure caused by stress or anxiety can be reversed with natural techniques to lower your high pressure and improve your health. A doctor told someone that she had high blood pressure also known as hypertension because of stress. Dr Ekberg explains why high blood pressure is related to stress, what stress is, how to reduce stress, and how stress and high blood pressure is related. Learn how to relieve stress and how to reduce stress so you won't have high blood pressure spikes. The video has tips on how to reduce your stress and anxiety naturally so you can heal and be healthy. Don't let heart disease or hypertension take over your health, take action and lower blood pressure naturally. I got a question here and she said that the cardiologist said that her (heart) piping her (heart) plumbing was all fine but that stress was causing the problem. And yes that is true but we need to understand more about what stress is stress is not just having too much to do and not enough time that is indeed stress but stress is anything that can interfere with the body anything that can activate or over activate the sympathetic nervous system and anything that prevents that nervous system from finding the natural balance so again for getting rid of stress is not the solution because the world is still going to be there. We can't turn the world off. What we can do we can some what... we can selectively reduce stress by changing our lifestyle a little bit but more than that what we really want to do is help the body deal with the stress better it's a physiological problem in addition to just the emotional stress so people think of stress and they say oh yeah I have too much to do but it's it's the emotional stress and the chemical stress and the structural stress it all interferes and then we do something else in this office that takes a little more explaining but it's it's basically about how the autonomic nervous system how flexible and how good is it and regulating does it tend to get stuck or is it confused and all of those factors can involve those stressors that we mentioned the scars and the metals and so on so yes stress is a big problem it is often the initiator but we can't just look at that and ignore all the other things. What are the Risks of Not Treating High Blood Pressure? - Hypertension Effects Animation HT Dangers

00:27
If left untreated, hypertension can lead to the thickening of arterial walls causing its lumen, or blood passage way, to narrow in diameter. As a result, the heart must work harder to pump blood through the narrowed arterial openings. In addition, people with hypertension may be more susceptible to stroke. High blood pressure dangers: Hypertension's effects on your body High blood pressure is a risk factor for more than heart disease. Discover what complications high blood pressure can cause. High blood pressure (hypertension) can quietly damage your body for years before symptoms develop. Left uncontrolled, you may wind up with a disability, a poor quality of life or even a fatal heart attack. Fortunately, with treatment and lifestyle changes, you can control your high blood pressure to reduce your risk of life-threatening complications. Here's a look at the complications high blood pressure can cause when it's not effectively controlled. Damage to your arteries Healthy arteries are flexible, strong and elastic. Their inner lining is smooth so that blood flows freely, supplying vital organs and tissues with adequate nutrients and oxygen. If you have high blood pressure, the increased pressure of blood flowing through your arteries gradually can cause a variety of problems, including: Artery damage and narrowing. High blood pressure can damage the cells of your arteries' inner lining. That launches a cascade of events that make artery walls thick and stiff, a disease called arteriosclerosis (ahr-teer-e-o-skluh-ROE-sis), or hardening of the arteries. Fats from your diet enter your bloodstream, pass through the damaged cells and collect to start atherosclerosis (ath-ur-o-skluh-ROE-sis). These changes can affect arteries throughout your body, blocking blood flow to your heart, kidneys, brain, arms and legs. The damage can cause many problems, including chest pain (angina), heart attack, heart failure, kidney failure, stroke, blocked arteries in your legs or arms (peripheral artery disease), eye damage, and aneurysms. Aneurysm. Over time, the constant pressure of blood moving through a weakened artery can cause a section of its wall to enlarge and form a bulge (aneurysm). An aneurysm (AN-yoo-riz-um) can potentially rupture and cause life-threatening internal bleeding. Aneurysms can form in any artery throughout your body, but they're most common in the aorta, your body's largest artery. Damage to your heart Your heart pumps blood to your entire body. Uncontrolled high blood pressure can damage your heart in a number of ways, such as: Coronary artery disease. Coronary artery disease affects the arteries that supply blood to your heart muscle. Arteries narrowed by coronary artery disease don't allow blood to flow freely through your arteries. When blood can't flow freely to your heart, you can experience chest pain, a heart attack or irregular heart rhythms (arrhythmias). Enlarged left heart. High blood pressure forces your heart to work harder than necessary in order to pump blood to the rest of your body. This causes the left ventricle to thicken or stiffen (left ventricular hypertrophy). These changes limit the ventricle's ability to pump blood to your body. This condition increases your risk of heart attack, heart failure and sudden cardiac death. Heart failure. Over time, the strain on your heart caused by high blood pressure can cause your heart muscle to weaken and work less efficiently. Eventually, your overwhelmed heart simply begins to wear out and fail. Damage from heart attacks adds to this problem. Damage to your brain Just like your heart, your brain depends on a nourishing blood supply to work properly and survive. But high blood pressure can cause several problems, including: Transient ischemic attack (TIA). Sometimes called a ministroke, a transient ischemic (is-KEE-mik) attack is a brief, temporary disruption of blood supply to your brain. It's often caused by atherosclerosis or a blood clot — both of which can arise from high blood pressure. A transient ischemic attack is often a warning that you're at risk of a full-blown stroke. Stroke. A stroke occurs when part of your brain is deprived of oxygen and nutrients, causing brain cells to die. Uncontrolled high blood pressure can lead to stroke by damaging and weakening your brain's blood vessels, causing them to narrow, rupture or leak. High blood pressure can also cause blood clots to form in the arteries leading to your brain, blocking blood flow and potentially causing a stroke.

I have high blood pressure. Why should I avoid decongestants? What can I take instead?

00:58
http://www.rxwiki.com/articles/news_story Ask a pharmacist your questions now! http://www.rxwiki.com/askrx/questions Most people turn towards over-the counter decongestants when they have a stuffy nose or congestion. Unfortunately, if you have high blood pressure you should avoid these products. That is because decongestants work to relieve congestion by shrinking blood vessels in the nasal membranes of the nose and air passages. These changes may affect blood vessels in locations other than the nose resulting in increased blood pressure. Decongestant examples are pseudoephedrine, phenylephrine, and oxymetazoline. Decongestants in oral and nasal form can affect your blood pressure so it is recommended to try alternative options. Saline nasal spray is a great option to flush your sinuses. Drinking plenty of fluids, especially water, and getting rest are also important steps to helping your congestion. If you still experience bothersome nasal congestion, talk to your pharmacist or doctor for advice.

High Blood Pressure Foods To Avoid And Foods To Eat - A Hypertension Diet Plan

04:11
Certain foods raise your blood pressure - we all know that. But when you ask someone exactly which foods lower blood pressure and which ones increase it, many will just say "it goes up when you eat meat, and down when you eat fruits and vegetables." In a general sense, that right. But many people don't realize that it's not that simple. Food that comes from animals is usually more likely to cause hypertension - high blood pressure - than fruits and vegetables. But even some foods that don't come from animals may contain a lot of certain elements - especially sodium or salt - that affect blood pressure in a negative way. Think potato chips, frozen foods that come in a box (like frozen lasagna), and canned soups, just to name a few. And then there are those fast food french fries we all love. This video offers the basics of a high blood pressure diet plan, spelling out foods to avoid and foods to eat to keep your blood pressure in a normal range. This video is intended for the general public - not for medical professionals. It's meant to provide basic and introductory information about hypertension. If you think your blood pressure is too high, you should see your doctor, and rely solely on his or her diagnosis and advice.

Here Is How To Reduce Hypertension or High Blood Pressure At Home!

04:54
Here Is How To Reduce Hypertension or High Blood Pressure At Home! The hypertension or high blood pressure can be caused by genetics, thyroid disorders, toxic body burden, smoking, unhealthy diet, sedentary lifestyle, chronic stress, weight and age. People usually have combination of these factors. It is important to remember that it is one of the ‘silent killers’. That is why it is important to do the periodic blood pressure tests. A healthy blood pressure is 120 over 80. The 1st number measures the heart beating pressure and the 2nd measures the pressure of the resting heart. As there are numerous factors that can cause hypertension, there are many problems that can happen if it is left untreated. Hypertension increases the blood flow resistance in the vessels and forces the heart to work harder. High blood pressure contributes to hardening of the arteries. It is also associated with sexual dysfunction, blindness, aneurysms, dementia, kidney disease and cardiovascular disease. To control it, you need to make some changes in your lifestyle, diet and other contributing factors. If the blood pressure is reduces by 5-6 pints, the risk of stroke is cut by 40% and heart disease by 15%. There are numerous effective medications like ACE inhibitors, diuretics and beta blockers, but they can produce some side effects like rapid heartbeat, dizziness, headaches, fatigue, respiratory problems, depression, leg cramps and insomnia. The high blood pressure is profitable market for the drug companies as it is a common and chronic disease. Once a person starts on these drugs, they take them often for the long term. Drugs aren’t the only choice. There are numerous ways that it can be controlled naturally. If you have hypertension and you’re on medication, you shouldn’t stop taking them without medical advice from the health care provider. -For those who try to control the blood pressure, it is recommended to address potential weight issues. It is important to increase the physical activity and consume anti-inflammatory foods like lean proteins, healthy fats and fresh fruits and vegetables. You need to lower the intake of sodium as the salt retains body fluids and increases the blood volume. Reduce the salty snack like salted nuts, crackers and chips and choose mineral-rich and natural salt like Himalayan and Celtic. Smoking and consuming alcohol also affects the cardiovascular health. They can put a lot of stress on the heart and lead to hypertension and arterial hardening. The body evolved many mechanisms to respond to dangers. One of them is a rapid heartbeat to increase the blood flow and it is accompanied by increased blood pressure. But the real problem is the chronic stress and the background anxiety has huge physiological impact. The cortisol and the other stress hormones stay elevated wearing down the defenses and fueling chronic inflammation. The results are increased risk of cardiovascular disease and hypertension and many degenerative diseases. Meditation is a proven way to reduce the chronic stress. Another way to relieve stress is long walks. -The diet is one of the most critical approaches to high blood pressure controlling. The DASH diet is a specific diet that can lower the blood pressure. It means Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension. It recommends whole grains, veggies and fruits. Also, part of this diet is the potassium-rich foods like bananas and green leafy veggies like kale and spinach. Reduce the trans fats and sugar because these foods fuel inflammation which can increase the risk of hypertension, damage heart health and harden the arteries. https://youtu.be/EQ9t3iPaj-0

The dangers of low blood pressure

06:49
Most people worry about high blood pressure, and with good reason as it portends numerous health risks, such as the possibility of an increased risk of heart attacks and strokes. But… Low blood pressure brings a different set of problems, such as reduced brain function and increased mortality risk. If the upper or lower number deviates by more than 10 from 120/80, it pays to be aware low blood pressure may be affecting your health. Think of it like this. The function of your blood pressure is to push the blood out of your blood vessels by permeating out of them to the rest of the body. High blood pressure is often a compensatory response to something that is going on in the body. If you cover up the end response of your body you can get other symptoms. Such as, a very common side effect of blood pressure medications is brain fog or mental “unclarity”. Which really makes perfect sense. Your brain is now not getting the blood (or oxygen) it needs to function, which equals……uhhhhhhhh? What? As a side note I often find that in the elderly, if they have not taken care of themselves and their arteries are already starting to harden, this will lead to decreased permeability of the blood vessels. As a result, blood pressure goes up to compensate and get blood to the brain. If you lower blood pressure too much, you no think too much! ;-) Blood pressure pushes blood through about 100,000 miles of veins, arteries, and capillaries in the body, carrying oxygen, nutrients, immune cells, hormones, neurotransmitters, and other vital compounds. High blood pressure strains blood vessels. However, low blood pressure means not enough blood is getting to capillaries and tissues, particularly in your hands, feet, and brain. This deprives those tissues of sufficient oxygen and nutrients. You may have chronic nail fungal infections and cold hands and feet if so. These can also be signs of an immune system that is deficient as well. So it pays to check both. Adrenal fatigue as a cause of low blood pressure The most common cause of low blood pressure (other than taking blood pressure medications) in a functional medicine model is poor adrenal function. The adrenals are two walnut-sized glands that sit atop the kidneys. They produce stress hormones and help regulate blood pressure. Many people today suffer from adrenal fatigue due to chronic stress. Other causes of adrenal fatigue are poor diets, low blood sugar, chronic infections, gut problems, inflammation, and unmanaged autoimmunity — all stressors. Causes of High Diastolic Blood Pressure - What Does High Diastolic Blood Pressure Really Mean?

03:13
Watch it !!! http://bit.ly/29kvGJS ★ A Breakthrough in diabetes has been achieved ► Read On To Find Out Exactly How You Can Change Your Life By Following A Simple Diet That Anyone Can Do... Causes of High Diastolic Blood Pressure Nearly 1 in 3 American adults has high blood pressure. Your heart has to work harder when blood pressure is high, and your risk for heart disease, stroke and other problems goes up. High blood pressure won't go away without treatment. That could include lifestyle changes and, if your doctor prescribes it, medicine. What Is Blood Pressure? Blood pressure is the force of blood flow inside your blood vessels. Your doctor records your blood pressure as two numbers, such as 120/80, which you may hear them say as "120 over 80." Both numbers are important. The first number is the pressure as your heart beats and pushes blood through the blood vessels. Health care providers call this the "systolic" pressure. The second number is the pressure when the vessels relax between heartbeats. It's called the "diastolic" pressure. Here's what the numbers mean: Healthy blood pressure: below 120/80 Early high blood pressure: between 120/80 and 140/90 High blood pressure: 140/90 or higher The lower your blood pressure, the better your chances of delaying or preventing a heart attack or a stroke. When your blood moves through your vessels with too much force, you have high blood pressure or hypertension. Your heart has to work harder when blood pressure is high, and your risk for heart disease and diabetes goes up. High blood pressure raises your risk for heart attack, stroke, eye problems and kidney disease. High blood pressure is a problem that won't go away without treatment and changes to your diet and lifestyle. You should always have an idea of what your blood pressure is, just as you know your height and weight. How will I know if I have high blood pressure? High blood pressure is a silent problem — you won't know you have it unless your health care provider checks your blood pressure. Have your blood pressure checked at each regular health care visit, or at least once every two years (people without diabetes or other risk factors for heart disease). What can I do about high blood pressure? Here are some easy tips to help reduce your blood pressure: Work with your health care provider to find a treatment plan that's right for you. Eat whole-grain breads and cereals. Try herbs and spices instead of salt to flavor foods. Check food labels and choose foods with less than 400 mg of sodium per serving. Lose weight or take steps to prevent weight gain. Limit alcohol consumption and consult your health care provider about whether it is safe to drink alcohol at all. If you smoke, get help to quit. Ask your health care provider about medications to help reduce high blood pressure. Samples of these types of medications include ACE inhibitors, ARBs, beta blockers, calcium channel blockers and diuretics. source:http://www.diabetes.org Topic are cover: causes of high blood pressure high blood pressure causes cause of high blood pressure what cause high blood pressure causes for high blood pressure causes high blood pressure what causes high diastolic blood pressure high diastolic blood pressure causes causes of high diastolic blood pressure what are the causes of high blood pressure high diastolic pressure causes what are causes of high blood pressure what causes blood pressure to be high what can cause high blood pressure readings http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GA76U-q15HU

Pulmonary hypertension is one of the most common causes of dyspenea or shortness of breath. K. Akaya Smith, MD, a pulmonologist at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP) discusses why. Pulmonary hypertension (PH) comprises a spectrum of diseases that can lead to the dangerous onset of shortness of breath. PH is a condition of abnormally high blood pressure in the lungs, typically caused by common heart and lung diseases like congestive heart failure (CHF) or emphysema. Penn Medicine offers the most effective treatments available to slow the progression of PH, and even reverse some of the damage to the lungs and heart. So let’s get started with the top 5 clinically proven solutions for lowering high blood pressure. Drugs / Prescription Medications Like I said, hypertension is such a massive health problem that blood pressure drugs are the #1 most prescribed drugs in America.3 In fact, out of the top 10 most prescribed drugs - THREE of them are blood pressure drugs! And the crazy part is that there are 11 TYPES of “blood pressure lowering” drugs, which is a total of over 80 DIFFERENT medications all trying to lower hypertension. And yet, the problem is getting worse each and every year. I don’t like these drugs because they have lots of negative side-effects. However, they are valuable for SHORT-TERM usage to quickly put you into a “normal” range. But it’s definitely not a long-term solution. Diet What you eat is very important and one of the best types of diets for lowering blood pressure is a DASH diet4 - which stands for Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension. This is similar to the Mediterranean diet - both being successful at reducing hypertension and promoting weight loss at the same time. DASH promotes the consumption of vegetables, fruits, lean protein, whole grains, and low-fat dairy, and recommends avoiding sugars, red meat, and salt. Many believe that the low-sodium is responsible for its success. However, salt probably doesn't have that much to do with it... I believe the primary reason why it works so well is because it restricts your intake of fructose—as does the Mediterranean diet. The idea that salt promotes high blood pressure is actually, at least in part, a myth. Exercise Exercise has many health benefits as I’m sure you know. One of the best is the simple fact that you get some stress release. And I think we can all agree that we live in very stressful times and this additional stress contributes to hypertension. The best exercise is a combination of BOTH: Aerobic (with oxygen) - walking, jogging, swimming, dancing, etc. Anaerobic (without oxygen) - resistance exercise with weights, cables, machines, etc. Ideally 3x weekly for 30-45 minutes is a good goal. However, even a 15 minute daily walk will do wonders for your health and blood pressure levels. Rest & Relaxation Most “experts” don’t emphasize the importance of rest and relaxation - both physical and mental. Your mind is more powerful than your body and with the extra stress and worry in our modern life-styles, you MUST make some time to “unplug” and “reboot” your system. Meditation, stretching, reading, napping, walking, writing your thoughts, getting a massage, laughing, hugging, playing, etc… are all great ways to reduce your stress hormones and improve your blood pressure levels. You MUST do this daily. As my friend Tony Robbins says, this can be your “hour of power” or “30 minutes to thrive” or “15 minutes to fulfillment”. Specific Herbs, Vitamins & Minerals Most supplements don’t work. But there are a few herbs and minerals that are clinically proven to help lower your blood pressure levels naturally and quickly. Many times better than prescription medications and WITHOUT the negative side-effects. The top 5 clinically proven herbal extracts are: Grape Seed Extract English Hawthorn Berry Extract Celery Seed Extract Pomegranate Extract Lycopene Extract Click here for a natural solution: ►http://drsam.co/yt/ReduceHBPToday Or look at these: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=25zDNw3ZQU8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TfS74a_MSgg ======================================== Thank you for watching.
