But when she was found dead in a hotel bathtub, the truth was revealed. Cocaine was found in her system, and drug paraphernalia was strewn across her hotel room. Sadly for fans of the singer, her life and career is still tarnished by her drug use and untimely death. Heath Ledger also had an unsuccessful rehab stint prior to his death. The actor wanted to kick his drug habit prior to filming The Dark Knight, but his attempt was unsuccessful. He was found dead in his Manhattan apartment, and the coroner found a lethal mix of oxycodone, hydrocodone, diazepam, temazepam, alprazolam and doxylamine in his system. Fans were shocked to hear that drugs were the cause of his death. Although drugs have been the reason behind many celebrity deaths, many stars get a new lease on life. NBA player Lamar Odom was found unconscious in a Nevada brothel back in October 2015, but medical personnel were able to bring him back to life. He was sent to a Los Angeles hospital where he underwent therapy to help restore his memory and to help him kick his habit. But Lamar’s addiction has other plans for him. It has since been reported that he is back on crack, and his ex-wife, Khloe Kardashian, has left him once and for all. When our favorite stars battle with drug addiction, we have no choice but to sit back and watch as they spiral out of control. He always enjoyed drinking from 16 y/o and onward. He binge drank but never thought he had a problem. Further, he never saw himself not drinking because it was ingrained in his social behavior and life. In this video men's style, grooming, fitness and lifestyle expert, Aaron Marino of IAmAlphaM, AaronMarino, and Pete & Pedro talks about how he quit drinking by accident. Alpha used to dip tobacco for 16 years. He was crazy addicted and ashamed. He decided to quit in 2010, and he knew he had to quit alcohol because it was a trigger to nicotine. He went from drinking 30 - 40 drinks a week to 10 drinks a year. He loves a bourbon every once in a while as well as wine at a nice dinner. He hasn't been drunk in a LONG time. Ultimately, he has a better respect for alcohol. The moment he stopped tobacco and alcohol everything has exponentially and astronomically changed. All of the sudden, all of the cloudiness dissipated, and it felt incredible! His life is 1,000xs better in every aspect. Changes for Alpha as a Result of Not Drinking 1. He stopped doing stupid things 2. He felt awesome every day when he woke up 3. His mind was so much clearer, and his senses were heightened 4. He became more creative due to not being clouded by a hang-over and not feeling good 5. His productivity sky-rocketed 6. He started making more money due to more focus & productivity (as well as not spending as much money as drinking is expensive!) 7. He looked better including his skin 8. Staying in shape was so much easier after quitting drinking (combine calories from alcohol with crappy food that typically goes along with drinking) 9. He was proud of himself rather than hating himself for being self-destructive 10. He is happier! All of the benefits to not drinking outweigh that beer / wine / bourbon. He wouldn't trade all the money in the world for all of this clarity and sobriety. It's remarkable.

Heavy accumulation of tar in the hoses showed up after only 10 packs. Tar from the next 20 packs overflowed and got sucked into the pump. It eventually ruined the pump. * With actual smoking, you also blow the smoke out past all of the same organs twice. * Lungs do self clean to take care of dust and debris from normal breathing in the environment. They weren't meant to be overwhelmed on an hourly basis by smoke from a burning object for life. * The smell of the tar and cotton balls at the end was vile. I felt quite ill afterwards. Can't imagine how a smoker feels on a daily basis. * To all parents and adults. Do your part to give kids a healthy life and prevent youngsters from taking up these bad habits. Mac Miller - Stopped Making Excuses “I’m probably going to cry a few times through the course of this thing,” Mac Miller says in the first scene of Stopped Making Excuses, a new documentary produced and presented by The FADER. What follows is a candid look at the Pittsburgh native’s past six years, starting with his ascent, when he was 19, as a popular but critically panned rapper. “I was an easy target. I admit that,” he says now. “It became one of those things where I got so much negativity that it almost became, like, ‘There’s no point to overly hate on this dude, let me look in and see what he’s doing.’ And when you look in, there’s some good music there.” Following his 2011 debut album, Billboard's first independently released No.1 in over a decade, Mac moved to Los Angeles, where it seemed to many he was thriving. That’s where Andrew Nosnitsky met him for Mac Miller's 2013 The FADER cover story, and where he played an endearing role in Earl Sweatshirt’s cover too. But Mac says L.A. soon turned toxic, as he spiraled into increasing drug use. In one scene in Stopped Making Excuses, French Montana counsels him to slow down with codeine. In another, Mac appears in a bathtub wearing a long-sleeved shirt, top hat, and sunglasses, while saying “I’m not on drugs… drugs are on me.” To finish 2015’s acclaimed GO:OD AM, he headed back to Pittsburgh to regain his composure. Watch him lead the Steelers onto the field, eat one of those weird sandwiches with french fries on it, and perform in his Taylor Allderdice High School graduation gown. What this means is that you have the power within you to make massive changes in your life - as long as you address the unconscious mind in the right manner - most importantly using the correct words. How to set up a communication signal with the unconscious mind using finger signals and a pendulum. 2. How to calibrate a pendulum for degree of response. MATERIALS REQUIRED 1. You will need to make your own pendulum using something like a marble glued to a length of string. 2. For example, you can use self hypnosis to quit smoking cigarettes and marijuana; to stop drinking alcohol; to banish problem foods and to reach your ideal weight. Ideomotor signalling gives you a powerful tool to work with your unconscious mind to investigate the underlying issues in some health problems. For example, you could ask, to what degree is the presenting problem associated with stress, my job, my personal relationship, a significant memory, a food item, etc People who suffer from sleep apnea and snoring may have a sensitivity to wheat, gluten and dairy products. Using a pendulum you can get a fair idea of what foods may be associated with the snoring. In addition if you grind your teeth, then once you have a communication with the unconscious mind you can ask the unconscious mind to stop the grinding. If you ask the right questions to gather information about the problem and then make the appropriate commands / suggestions to the unconscious mind then it will faithfully respond. Takes a bit of practice and perserverance but I have found self hypnosis to be an incredible tool in terms of my health. PROCEDURE STEP 1. Elicit ideomotor responses. Set up a communication with the unconscious mind for ‘yes’, ‘no’ responses. 1. Explain the procedure. 2. Use peripheral sensing to induce trance. 3. Invite the unconscious mind to move a finger or a thumb to indicate ‘yes’ and ‘no’ responses. STEP 2. How to use a hypnosis pendulum. Once the client has been succesful in establishing ideomotor signals with their unconscious mind through finger signals then show them how to use a pendulum with a hypnosis mat. Break Your Cigarette Smoking Habit the Easy Way with Hypnosis

And in fact, it is definitely the intelligent thing to do for more reasons than good health alone. This editorial explores the very best hypnosis and NLP methods that can be used to make it as painless as possible to break the addiction to cigarettes. There are 3 individual parts to the addiction to smoking cigarettes. Two of the elements are mental, and only one part is physical. Part A: YOU SMOKE FOR RELAXATION AND PLEASURE. When you were an infant and you got restless, your mother would put a nipple into your mouth to pacify you. You would get distracted, become calmer, and often go to sleep. That scenario was repeated many, many times so that your unconscious mind was programmed: When something goes into your mouth, you get relaxation and pleasure from it. Now that you are a grownup, if you feel anxious or tense, you crave something in your mouth for relaxation and pleasure - a smoke! Part B: SMOKING IS A CONDITIONED RESPONSE. Remember Pavlov? He rang a bell every time that he fed his dogs. After a few repetitions, all he had to do was to ring the bell, and that would trigger the dogs to salivate. When you associate smoking with any other action, the other action will trigger cravings for a cigarette and an urge to light up a cigarette. This is called a conditioned response. For example: If you smoke when you see someone else smoking, you will automatically get an urge to smoke each time you see someone else smoking. Here is exactly how this conditioned response gets programmed into your unconscious: If a person smokes a cigarette and simultaneously drinks a cup of coffee, the mind takes a snapshot of the cigarette in the hand, and ties it to the cup of coffee. Thereafter, every time the person has a cup of coffee, his unconscious mind fills in the missing part of the picture. It flashes an image of a cigarette, and the smoker gets a craving for a cigarette. You may be unaware of the mental picture of the cigarette, because it may only be at the unconscious level of mind. Just as you are unaware of what you are seeing through your peripheral vision until something or someone draws your attention to it. But the image is there, creating a craving for a cigarette. Part C: THERE IS A PHYSICAL ADDICTION TO NICOTINE, BUT . . . I've worked face-to-face with several thousand smokers and I give you my guarantee that the physical addiction to tobacco is the weakest part of the smoking addiction. In fact, I believe that it is only ten percent of the addiction to tobacco. I believe that 90% of the addiction are the mental and emotional parts! (Parts A and B). HERE IS WHAT THIS MEANS TO A SMOKER WHO WANTS TO QUIT. When you eliminate the feeling of tension that pushes a smoker to smoke a cigarette to create relaxation and pleasure (Part A) . . . and when you erase the conditioned response of feeling compulsions for cigarettes when having a cup of coffee, driving, or finishing a meal, etc. (Part B) . . . then you can give up tobacco without needing willpower, and without having to suffer from withdrawal symptoms or weight-gain. Hypnotism can help trigger a smoker to stop smoking. Hypnosis will make it easy to give up tobacco because it takes care of Parts A & B! Here is how: Part A is where smokers light-up a cigarette for relaxation and pleasure. It's your thoughts which create feelings of stress. More to the point, people persistently run mental movies in their mind's eye. If the movie is negative, it causes a feeling of stress. We can use different NLP and Hypnosis methods to program the subconscious mind to quickly and easily take those stress producing mental images, and quickly exchange them for relaxation producing mental pictures and movies. This instills relaxation and pleasure, and eliminates the stress that triggers the oral urges and compulsions for a cigarette. Because of the elimination of tension, the smoker who is quitting does not experience the compulsion or need to substitute food in place of the cigarettes. So quitting without weight gain is possible. Part B is where smokers light-up because smoking becomes a conditioned response to many different activities and locations. Remember in the earlier example how smoking became unconsciously associated with other activities and environments so that each time you get into that activity or environment, the mind flashes an image of a cigarette, and the image of the cigarette triggers an urge to light-up? There are stop smoking hypnosis, and quit smoking NLP techniques that can quickly eliminate those conditioned responses so that your subconscious will lose the cravings for cigarettes, and the compulsion to smoke. As a matter of fact, you can even get a compulsion to reject the cigarettes.

His family was on welfare, and his earliest childhood memory was seeing burglar in his house. His family managed but eventually got divorced. He had two step-dads thereafter. One he blocked out, and one was emotionally abusive. His mother gave him a fitness membership at 13 years old which changed everything for him. He may have had a crappy home life but was at 'home' at the gym. At 13 years old, he realized that he wanted to be a gym owner. He went to college after high school. He got a business degree in order to be a gym owner. He moved to Atlanta, GA to open his business and got a job at Bally's where he met a guy who wanted to open a nutrition store with him. It was successful, but the guy took advantage of Alpha. At that point in his life, Alpha was unable to stand up for himself. He ended up getting help from a counselor who helped him find his value. He stopped second guessing his worth. They opened another nutrition store, but Alpha was very unhappy. Plus the guy was selling drugs out of the back. Alpha knew it was time to go. so he left to become a trainer. During this time, he met a girl who he helped to lose weight. They decided to open a gym together. He worked a ton but he loved it because he was in his element. They didn't make much money, but he was happy. He was doing something that he wanted to do from a young age. They created a new fitness concept that they wanted to franchise. They needed money and got investors and a bank loan. They put together a new location but ran out of money really quickly. Legal issues arose as well, and ultimately, they decided to shut down. Alpha took a job driving a beer cart on the weekends just to make ends meet. It was a humbling experience. It was the middle of the winter, a 30 year old guy, driving a beer cart in freezing temps. He was so scared. He didn't have anything to fall back on... no plan B. He didn't know what to do. His world had collapsed, and he was financially ruined. He decided he'd do whatever it took to be successful. If it wasn't for that moment, being down THAT low, that he may not have ever seen the moment to do something amazing. So when you see Alpha get emotional, it's because of how thankful he truly is. If you are struggling or feeling hopeless, keep working! It gets better. It gets incredible! Alpha wouldn't change anything that has happened to him. He would do it again. He feels that those times built him and give him appreciation. It will get better if you press forward and persevere. Everyday, he gets up and tried not to mess it up. A new study says the weight they gain may increase their diabetes risk in the short term. Type two diabetes is common in people who eat too much and exercise too little and those with a family history of it. Smoking is another risk factor. But quitting smoking may carry a temporary risk. The study found that smokers who quit had a seventy percent increased risk of developing diabetes in the first six years. That was compared to those who had never smoked. The risks were highest in the first three years. And the risk returned to normal after ten years of not smoking. The researchers say weight gain is probably to blame for the increase. But they say smokers should stop anyway -- and the real message is not to even start. Type two diabetes interferes with the body's use of insulin. The substance produced by the pancreas normally lowers blood sugar during and after eating. Over time, high blood sugar can lead to blindness, kidney failure, heart disease and nerve damage. The study is from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. It appears in the Annals of Internal Medicine. Another American study says obesity has become as great a threat to quality of life as smoking. It compared losses in what are called "quality-adjusted life years." The study found that losses from obesity are now equal to, if not greater than, those from smoking. These days, there are fewer smokers in the country but more people who are extremely overweight. The findings are based on questions about health-related quality of life in government telephone surveys. The study is from Columbia University and the City College of New York. It appears in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine. And another study has linked each hour of watching television daily to an eighteen percent increased risk of death from heart disease. The study of adults in Australia also found an increased risk of death from others causes. The findings are published in Circulation: Journal of the American Heart Association. Lead author David Dunstan at the Baker IDI Heart and Diabetes Institute in Victoria says the body was designed to move. He says even if people have a healthy body weight, sitting for long periods of time still has an unhealthy influence on blood sugar and blood fats. And thats the VOA Special English Health Report.
