I mean, I know it’s not good for health, but I don’t drink that much. These days, mainly on the weekends - like 2-3 drinks at the most. Well, maybe more at times (lol). But the reason I ask is because I notice it’s affecting my sex drive and my “hardness”. When I was younger, it wasn’t a problem, but for sure now. Is it the alcohol or just me getting older? Oh, I’m 36 by the way.” First, yes… aging has a lot to do with it because a man’s testosterone starts to drop in his mid 20’s. Since you’re in your mid 30’s at age 36, your testosterone has been slowly lowering for the past decade. However, the alcohol is just making things much worse and causing a FASTER drop in your testosterone levels and thus it’s killing your sex drive making you fatter and basically turning you into a woman! Let me tell you the 3 primary ways it’s doing this: Alcohol is a toxin - both to your body (liver, muscles, etc.) and your mind (neurons, synapses, etc.). As your body tries to metabolize alcohol (ethanol), it lowers the amount of NAD+ inside your liver and testes. This reduces the production of testosterone. The higher the quantity and frequency of alcohol usage, the lower the production of testosterone.1 Alcohol stimulates the brain to release beta-opioid endorphins, which is the reason why you get really relaxed after few beers. Sadly, those endorphins are also notorious for their negative effect on testosterone synthesis.2 Alcohol also causes an increase in your estrogen levels, which signals your testes to produce less testosterone.3 This also causes more belly fat, which indirectly produces even more estrogen. Thus, turning you into a “girly man”. Now, I’m not here to tell you to never drink. This is your life, your body, your future. My suggestion is to reduce the consumption of alcohol whenever possible. And if you’re going to drink, try to avoid beer because it tends to lower your testosterone the most due to the hops in the beer … They are very estrogenic and thus, causing the biggest imbalance between your male and female hormones. Most people make the mistake of scrubbing their skin and damaging it. The skin layer is filled with millions of friendly microbes that protect the skin. Cleansing the skin sterilizes it thus causing acne to come back due to the wrong bacteria. Taking antibiotics is not a long term solution because it develops resistant bacteria. Accutane has some serious side-effects. Understanding sabaceous gland is the key. There are 5 things that make up acne. 1. Inflammation 2. Plugged pores 3. Excess oil or sebum and bacteria 4. Enlarged sebaceous gland 5. Excess skin formation. The sabaceous gland is very sensitive to two sex hormones: ANDROGENS Androgens increase the size of the gland and the oil production. This can come from PCOS, which is excess insulin. Insulin resistance is the real cause. Insulin also increases the enzyme 5-alpha-reductase thus turning testosterone into DHT (a powerful form of testosterone. He was quickly prescribed Metformin, also known as Glucophage. I told him immediately NOT to take this drug and I’ll tell you why in a minute … However, he refused to listen to me and said “my doctor told me I have to take this, probably the rest of my life, or else I’ll have to start taking insulin shots and I hate needles”. Of course, this is what doctors do - prescribe drugs. They are legal drug pushers, no different than the street drug dealer pushing narcotics. His doctor never asked what he ate, what my uncle should eat… No talk about exercise, supplements, stress management or anything else that will naturally improve his blood sugar, which would be the only REAL long-term solution … and NOT a drug that’s loaded with negative side-effects. And trust me, I’m not against drugs - I just hate it when they are the FIRST and usually the ONLY solution a doctor will give you. Now, in regards to Metformin - this is a drug that I personally took in around 1992 to improve my blood sugar and insulin sensitivity - so I can gain more muscle and lose fat. In fact, many of my clients and professional athletes used this drug for the same reasons. Additionally, Metformin is known to have anti-aging benefits as well… So for me, it was a double bonus. However, within days I felt the negative side-effects and so did my friends and clients. Immediately, I started to feel unwell -- stomach pain, nausea, loss of appetite, heartburn, headaches and so forth. I just felt slow and sluggish... But, I kept pushing and kept taking the drug, hoping the negative side-effects would dissipate over time. And some of them did… or, maybe I just tolerated them better. However, over time there were more serious side-effects. For me and a few of my friends and clients, was kidney problems - which is a known side-effects of the drug. Poor kidney function can also lead to elevated blood pressure, which it did in other people I knew and later, liver problems as well. Remember, even though your kidneys and liver have different roles, they DO work WITH each other. As one weakens, so will the other. Mind you, NONE of us took the recommended dosage for diabetics, we took half the dose. Just imagine how much worse it is for diabetics taking the full dosage?!!... Which in fact, is why most users of Metformin typically do not refill their prescriptions and rarely use the drug for more than a few months. YET, it’s one of the most prescribed drugs for diabetics, other than later prescribing insulin shots. Additional side-effects of Metformin are heart problems and lactic acidosis - which is a very serious problem and very common with Metformin. Which has caused many deaths with this drug. In fact, drinking alcohol or taking any drug that puts strain on your liver or kidneys, magnifies this side-effect. … So to make a long story short, we all gave up on this drug and I later discovered various herbs, vitamins and minerals that when combined together - had much better benefits, no side-effects and yes, still had the anti-aging benefits. You can get more detail about these natural alternatives to Metformin below this video, in the description area. However, don’t go there just yet… I’m not done with the story. So about a year later I was at a family wedding and I saw my uncle again and ask him how he was doing. He said “I’m doing okay, I’m eating less sugars and I’ve improved my diet and walking daily. My blood sugar has improved, but it’s still high and so is my A1C levels. My doctor isn’t very happy and neither is my wife.” I then asked about Metformin and his dosage and he said “oh, you were right… I got off of it. My kidneys weren’t working well because of it and my doctor decided to switch me to another drug and I had problems with that, so I decided to just stop taking everything and let my body heal”. Find out how to Permanently lose fat! If you’re interested in losing fat, permanently, listen up. You’re going to find out the impacts of purely cutting calories to your fat loss goals. You need to stick around to the end of this video where I give you my take on how to effectively burn fat with my 5 step process. So, does cutting calories work? Yes, cutting calories can provide short term results in which you lose 5 to 10 lbs, but as your body adjusts to the calorie reduction your metabolism begins to plummet and you lose the all-important lean muscle tissue. Let's imagine your body needs 2500 calories each day. By only giving it 2000 calories per day, you’re burning off 500 calories. After 7 days, this should come to 3500 calories also considered to be the amount of calories in 1lbs of body fat. If you do a more drastic cut by eating 1500 calories, you should, in theory, lose 2lbs of fat. There are 3 major flaws with this approach. 1) As you lose weight, you lose muscle. Especially if you’re not doing a strength training program. Most people do cardio to lose weight and this can actually speed up muscle catabolism. Muscle makes you look and feel sexy. It gives you the curves that make you beautiful. Not only do they boost your sex appeal but they are also a highly metabolic tissue that helps to burn calories. 2) When you focus on calorie reduction only, you’re decreasing your metabolic rate because you’re reducing the amount of muscle you have. When you lose 10lbs, you lose some muscle and some fat. But then, when you bounce back from this unsustainable diet, you reach your original weight but now have less muscle which means a reduction in your metabolism. Also, calorie restriction sends a signal to your body that it must decrease its metabolism in order to conserve energy sending it into a fat storing mode. 3) Toxins are rarely discussed but should have high priority when losing fat. Fat stores toxins that the body doesn’t or cannot detoxify. If you lose a large amount of fat quickly, your liver will be overloaded if you don’t provide it with the proper enzymes, minerals, and vitamins that it needs to run detox pathways. Yes, burning fat will make you look better, but you may be risking overrunning your body with toxins. 5 Steps to Permanent fat loss: 1. Stop eating processed foods 2. Eat more Vegetables 3. Eat grass-fed, wild caught, free-range meats 4. Drink plenty of water 5.
