Studies in older adults have demonstrated that omega-3 supplementation significantly increased muscle protein synthesis rate during hyperinsulinemia-hyperaminoacidemia. This increase is likely due to the greater activation of the mTOR-p70s6k signalling pathway. Another study found that increased omega-3 fatty acid intake reduced the loss of total body and limb fat-free masses in certain patients undergoing oesophageal cancer surgery. The mechanisms of action are not yet fully understood, but may have something to do with the anti-inflammatory properties of omega-3 fatty acids as burns, aging, and cancer are all associated with inflammation. Case Study: In 2012, researchers at Washington University in St Louis, Missouri set out to understand how EPA and DHA affect muscle growth. 9 healthy participants age 25-45 who led a sedentary lifestyle supplemented with 4 grams of DHA+EPA daily for an 8-week period. Before and after the 8 weeks of supplementation, multiple measurements were taken. Muscle biopsies, Hyperinsulinemic-hyperaminoacidemic clamp, where insulin and amino acids, respectively, are pumped into the bloodstream. Molecular, enzymatic, and cellular markers were analyzed… Findings: Omega-3 fatty acid did not affect protein synthesis without the addition of insulin and amino acids. This makes sense as there must be sufficient amino acids available to make more muscle. Additionally, insulin is an anabolic hormone. It queues the body to slow protein degradation and increase muscle growth. In the high amino acid and insulin environment, the higher omega-3 fatty acid levels enhanced mechanisms of muscle growth. With increased omega-3 fatty acids following supplementation, it was found that the muscle protein fractional synthesis rate increased. This means that the muscles had more protein synthesis than breakdown compared to before supplementation. The pathways which regulates protein synthesis was found to be 50% more active in the presence of higher omega-3 fatty acid levels. Protein: DNA ratio and protein muscle concentration was higher after supplementation Case Study: In a 2009 study published in the Clinical Journal of Sports Medicine, it was found that omega-3 fatty acid supplementation helped to relieve DOMS symptoms. 27 untrained men were recruited to participate in the randomized, double-blinded study. There were three groups: placebo, control and experimental (1.8 grams/day omega-3 fatty acids) The exercise used was eccentric exercise in knee extensors, and knee range of motion (ROM), perceived pain, and thigh circumference were measured before, immediately after, 24 hours after, and 48 hours after an eccentric exercise. The researchers found that omega-3 supplementation reduced perceived pain and range of motion 48 hours after exercise, however there was no difference before, immediately after, or 24 hours after exercise. These findings demonstrate that omega-3 supplementation may help to relieve DOMS post exercise. References: 1. I selected high grade ones, but then I partnered those up with some raw materials such as gum mastic. Gum mastic is a resin from this particular tree that grows in the middle east. The middle eastern people have used gum mastic for many, many years to stop bacterial stomach infection. Gum mastic. This particular tree looks like a pistachio tree, but it oozes this resin. When dried and powdered, it helps to kill helicobacter pylori. You've got this bacterium. About one in five Americans have actually got the bacterial infection in their stomach and many don't even know it. What are the symptoms? Burping, bloating, and heartburn. A slow grade sensation of queasiness. Feeling a little bit off at times. Appetite can be waning. Bowel problems as a result. In many cases, the doctor will put you on an acid blocker. "Let's just put you on a drug that will stop the symptoms. You won't have to come back here no more. We'll just put you on this drug and you're going to feel fantastic." Yeah, right. For how long? Not a good idea, guys. If you've got a stomach problem, don't just turn the off switch "on", try to find out why the light bulb is broken. Good idea. Gum mastic is something I've never seen in a multi before. I put it in my multi, CanXida Rebuild. I did it because I know that one in five people in developed countries have got helicobacter. Think about it. There's a big chance that one out of five people looking at this right now have this infection and not even know it because it's low grade. Second thing I put in is goldenseal root. Hydrastis Canadensis. It's a beautiful plant that grows up in Canada, up in the colder regions up at the top of North America. American Indians used Hydrastis for many years. It's called goldenseal. It was used to dye precious fabrics a beautiful yellow color the chiefs would often wear or people in the higher Indian societies would wear this beautiful yellow color and it came from goldenseal. Goldenseal has proven to be one of our most potent antimicrobials. It's especially good for bad bacteria. That's a beauty. It contains berberine. Berberine is an alkaloid that's scientifically shown to inhibit many different types of bad bacteria and have immune boosting properties, but it doesn't nail the good guys. It doesn't kill the good bacteria like antibiotics do. It's really good for tidying up small little issues in the stomach and in the small intestine and in the large intestine, it works very, very well for inhibiting microbes. I always recommend a tiny little bit of berberine every day for people long term. That will discourage you from slowly getting this problem building up. The third one thing I put in is slippery elm. Slippery elm bark powder. Again, it's a beautiful tree. It's an elm tree and the inner bark is this lovely pink color. What the slippery elm does is it contains this powdery sort of funny kind of substance and it feeds up the beneficial bacteria. It's one of the best prebiotics you can get. Some of the American Indian tribes will feed infants on slippery elm for the first year of their life. There's so much merit to that because it really helps to feed up all those beneficial bacteria and it builds a solid gut.

This simple exercise will also help avoid the embarrasing “premature ejeculation”, allowing you to statisfy your parter, better and long than ever before. If you’ve been following my work and watching my videos, you would know that certain exercises can either increase or decrease your libido, erection strength, hardness and even size, because of hormonal changes. If you didn’t already know, testosterone is the primary hormone that increases your libido, sex drive and “muscle size”. Unfortunately, this hormone starts to decrease around the age of 25. However, certain exercises can increase your decrease your testosterone. For example, doing too much cardiovascular exercise - like running, jogging, etc. can decrease your testosterone because of the increase in your stress hormone, cortisol. TWO things you do NOT want to do. One of the best forms of exercise for increasing your testosterone is lifting weights. However, too much of that isn’t good either. About 3-4x weekly, no more than an hour is just the right amount to increase your testosterone and help improve your libido and sex drive. The Non-Exercise, Exercise However, today I’m NOT going to discuss anything about lifting weights, cardio, etc. I’ve done that in the past. What I want to talk about is a very simple “non-exercise”, exercise... that you can do RIGHT NOW, while watching this video and that’s called, the Kegel Exercise. I call this the “non-exercise” exercise because it requires no gym, equipment or even real movement. Now, some of you may have heard of this. Unfortunately most do it incorrectly. Kegel exercises are done to strengthen the perineal muscles. To “flex” this muscle, it’s very simple. One way to describe how to do it is, by contracting your anus muscle, as if you’re trying to hold in gas. Go ahead and give it a try now... Another way to do it is stop peeing midway through. Thus, as you’re peeing, “contract the muscle” that will STOP the pee, midway through. That’s it - that’s a kegel exercise. Super simple, but extremely effective. You can literally do it anywhere, anytime and nobody would know. Sets & Reps You should do kegel’s about 3x a week to start with. Over time, slowly build up to 5x weekly. Just don’t do it every single day because like any muscle, it requires rest to gain strength. Contract the muscle (holding in gas or stop peeing) and hold for 3-5 seconds. Relax for 1-2 seconds. That’s ONE repetition Do this 10 of these, for 10 repetitions. That’s ONE set Do one set of 10 repetitions, 3x weekly. Then maybe the next week do 2 sets of 10 reps and work up to 3 sets of 10 reps, 3x weekly. You can do it all at once, or break it up 2-3x daily. Nothing it set in stone. What matters is consistency, persistence and patience. Benefits There lots of benefits when this muscle is strong Stronger, full erections Last longer, more stamina and the prevention of premature ejeculation. Stronger orgasms. Healthier prostate. Improvement for those who have overactive bladder or urinary incontinence. How To Improve Results Of course, doing the right exercises is a great start. Vitamin D3 Supplementation Treats Prostate Cancer
Patients with low risk prostate cancer under active surveillance may benefit from vitamin D3 supplementation at 4000 IU per day according to an article in the Journal of Endocrinology Metabolism. In patients with Gleason 6 prostate cancers, those treated with 4000 IU of vitamin D3 for one year, 55% had a decrease in Gleason findings or fewer positive biopsies, 11% were without change, and 34% were somewhat worse. The PSA scores did not change in these patients. Levels of vitamin D less than 20 ng/ml showed a strong correlation with increased risk for death. We know that vitamin D increases differentiation of cancer cells. Besides treating Gleason 6 prostate cancers with vitamin D, there are other approaches that could be of value, such as an alkaline diet, use of modified citrus pectin, flax seed oil, lifestyle strategies, mushrooms, antioxidants, vitamin C and K.
