Please leave comments and questions here: http://barbaramendeznutrition.com/9-foods-to-lower-blood-pressure appy Monday everyone! Continuing to help raise awareness on the dangers of heart disease during the month of February (Heart Health Month), today’s video is all about the best foods to eat to help lower your blood pressure. A couple of weeks ago I shared a video on 9 Habits to Help Lower Blood Pressure. If you’ve not watched that video, go back and do so because it gives an overview of what lifestyle factors you can embrace to help you manage your blood pressure naturally. Sometimes it’s just a matter of making one or two shifts in your habits that can lead to your success. Food is medicine and medicine is food. There is no distinction and unfortunately, we’ve been taught differently. Through marketing and misleading information, we’ve been told we can eat virtually whatever we want and then, when something goes awry with our health, there is a pill out there that can help us manage it. But all medications come with side effects and sometimes those side effects can mean having to take more and more pills! This never happens when you clean up your diet and use a balanced approach to health. When you change the way you eat and the way you live your life, you not only often get the results you intended, but the side effect is often that you feel and look better too! Once you’ve checked out today’s video, I want to hear from you! Specifically, did you use dietary changes successfully as a means to lower blood pressure? How many of these foods did you include? And have you ever tasted the bonus food mentioned at the end of the video? I would love to hear your feedback. I am wishing you all a happy and healthy week~ xo B

Hypertension, or high blood pressure, is unfortunately a common problem throughout the U.S. It is a very serious condition that, if untreated, can lead to heart attacks, kidney failure and strokes. A blood pressure reading is considered high if it goes over 140/90. There are many factors that can contribute to high blood pressure, including: obesity, excessive drinking, stress, birth control pills, kidney disease, adrenal disease and genetic factors. While there are many prescription drugs that help to lower blood pressure, it can also be treated with all-natural remedies. Today’s video will discuss ten home remedies to lower blood pressure. 1. Watermelon Seeds Watermelon seeds contain cucurbocitrin, which is a compound that helps to widen blood capillaries and improve kidney function. In 2010, Florida State conducted a study that showed watermelon can help to lower blood pressure readings. 2. Lemons Lemons remove the rigid nature of the blood vessels and leave them soft and flexible. This, in turn, lowers the blood pressure level. Consuming lemon juice regularly also lowers the change of heart failure because of the high levels of Vitamin C. 3. Bananas Bananas can help to control blood pressure, when consumed on a regular basis. This is because of the high levels of potassium in the bananas that help to lessen the effects of sodium on the body. 4. Garlic Raw and cooked garlic can help lower blood pressure and cholesterol levels by relaxing the blood vessels and increasing the body’s production of nitric oxide and hydrogen sulphide. Consume one or two crushed garlic cloves per day. 5. Coconut Water To those with high blood pressure, it is especially important to keep hydrated. It is recommended that they consume eight to ten glasses each day. Coconut water is helpful in lowering blood pressure. 6. Celery Celery contains chemicals that help to control blood pressure. They relax the muscles in and around the heart and can allow the blood to flow more efficiently. Celery also helps to reduce stress hormones, which lowers blood pressure. Consume one stalk of celery with one glass of water each day. 7. Onion Juice Onions contain antioxidants that lower blood pressure. Simply consume one medium-sized raw onion per day. Alternatively, you can mix ½ teaspoon of onion juice with ½ teaspoon of honey and consume twice per day for one to two weeks. 8. Cayenne Pepper Cayenne pepper prevents platelets from sticking together and therefore, allows blood to flow more efficiently. Simply add cayenne pepper to fruit or vegetable salads, as well as in the dishes that you cook. A little cayenne pepper goes a long way, so just a pinch will do. 9. Fenugreek Seeds Fenugreek seeds contain potassium and fiber that helps to control blood pressure. To use, boil one or two teaspoons of fenugreek seeds in water for about two minutes and then strain. Place the seeds into a blender and mix into a paste. Consume the paste twice a day, once in the morning on an empty stomach and once in the evening. Use this remedy for two to three months for best results. 10. Honey Honey calms the blood vessels in the body and lowers blood pressure. Simply consume two teaspoons of honey on an empty stomach each morning. Also, you can mix one teaspoon of honey with one teaspoon of ginger juice and two teaspoons of cumin seed powder. Consume this twice each day for best results. Most importantly, if you suffer from high blood pressure, it is highly recommended that you consult with your doctor and follow their directives. High blood pressure should be taken seriously, as if left on treated, it can have dire consequences. Do you or someone you know have high blood pressure? Now, they’re good for your heart and blood sugar because they reduce inflammation and blood sugar - even when eaten with carbs such as white rice.2-5 3 - Nuts Raw nuts taste great and are good for you. They’re high in fiber, very low in carbs and contain healthy, essential fats.6-8 All of this helps reduce inflammation and lower blood sugar, A1C and Cholesterol levels. 4 - Extra-Virgin Olive Oil Extra-virgin olive oil is extremely beneficial for heart health and blood sugar. It contains oleic acid… This is a type of monounsaturated fat that has been shown to improve triglycerides and HDL, which are often at unhealthy levels in type 2 diabetes. It also increase the fullness hormone, GLP-1.9 This reduces your cravings, especially for sugars. 5 - Seeds Raw seeds such as flax, sunflower, pumpkin, hemp and sesame seeds have lots of health benefits. They’re very high in fiber and full of amazing minerals and vitamins. They’re proven to help Decrease your risk for heart disease 10 Improve your blood sugar levels 11 Reduce your A1C levels 11 Improve blood flow and circulation 12 6 - Apple Cider Vinegar Apple cider vinegar has been shown to improve insulin sensitivity and lower fasting blood sugar levels. It may also reduce blood sugar response by as much as 20% when consumed with meals containing carbs. 13-15 7 - Berries Most people are told not to have sugar, especially fructose which is the sugar found in fruit. To a certain degree, this is correct. So those are the 7 foods clinically proven to lower your blood sugar. However, there’s one category even more powerful... Herbs, Plants & Extracts Even though today’s topic is about food… there are specific plants, herbs, spices and extracts which can have dramatically positive effects on your blood sugar -- much more than food. And if you want the truth, plants and herbs are food and probably one the most important categories of food. And specific plants, herbs and extracts can have drug-like results, but without any of the negative side-effects. Which, shouldn’t be surprising because most drugs, well over 50%, are actually based on plants and herbs found in nature. The pharmaceutical companies change the original structure, patent them and make billions. Unfortunately, in the process of changing the natural structure, they also create side-effects. Anyway, my favorite are Bitter Melon, Gymnema Sylvestre, Fenugreek, Banaba Leaf and Cinnamon Extract.18-21 ======================================== ======================================== Thank you for watching. ◘ 8 Clinically Proven Foods That Lower High Blood Pressure

07:31
My favorite solution for lowering your blood pressure in just a few days ►►http://drsam.co/yt/LowerHBPNow ======================================= 8 Clinically Proven Foods That Lower High Blood Pressure ======================================= However, the good news is that there are about 8 specific foods that are clinically proven to work… IF you take the right kind and the correct amounts. Raw Garlic Cloves Garlic has many health benefits, especially for your heart and one of them is lowering high blood pressure. However, for it to really work you need to consume at least 3, RAW cloves of garlic daily. Unfortunately, the problem here is that your breath and body is going to smell. I tried everything with my parents, including taking herbal garlic supplements -- same problem. And if the garlic supplement says “odorless”, then it doesn’t work because the key extracts such as “allicin” is removed. Tree Nuts - Cashews and Almonds Tree nuts, and NOT peanuts, which come from the ground — are linked with many metabolic health benefits. Almonds and cashews really stand out, particularly when it comes to metabolic problems such as high blood pressure. This is because they contain high levels of magnesium, a mineral the most of us are deficient in. And a lack of magnesium is strongly linked to high blood pressure. Just make sure that these nuts are eaten RAW -- not “roasted”, which negatively changes the fat structure. Of course, not salted either. And be mindful of how many you eat because each almond or cashew is about 15 calories, so they can quickly make you fat if you don’t pay attention. Celery Celery is great for lowering elevated blood pressure and works similarly to “Calcium channel blocking” drugs… which are designed to lower blood pressure. But celery has NO negative side-effects and it’s very low in calories, so it’s great all around. The only problem is for it to be really effective, you’d have to eat at least 5 POUNDS of the stuff daily. So if you can juice it, that’s great. If not, my suggestion is to take Celery Seed Extract (42.5% phthalides)... one pill is the equivalent of eating 50 lbs of celery. That’s why it works so well and one of my favorite solutions! English Hawthorn Berries There’s a special form of English Hawthorn Berry Extract that is clinically shown to improve blood pressure levels 17% in only 6 weeks. One additional (and major) benefit is that it also helps regulate your body's stress response, including lowering the stress hormone, Cortisol. This is very important because many times our blood pressure goes up when we’re under extra STRESS and English Hawthorn Berries deals with this effectively. You would need to eat at least one cup of it daily. Don’t bother drinking it because many of the benefits are in the skin as well. However, a faster and easier way is to simply take the extract form of it in a pill, which is the equivalent of 3 cups of berries. Pomegranate Pomegranate is an amazing fruit with so many health benefits, especially for lowering high blood pressure. Forget about drinking the juice because it’ll shoot up your insulin levels which will indirectly increase your blood pressure. Best to have the actual fruit. Or if you don’t have the time to do this daily, you can use Pomegranate Extract in a pill, which is clinically proven to lower blood pressure by 12% in 30 days Tomatoes Tomatoes have many benefits -- they help with your eyes, prostate and lowering blood pressure. The main reason being the Lycopene extract found in specific forms of tomato seeds. Grape Seeds Grape seeds are fantastic seeds and are more effective for improved heart health than Olive Oil. For salad dressing, I suggest using grape seed oil. But don’t cook with it because it negatively changes the chemical structure of the fat. What’s even more effective is a patented form of Grape Seed EXTRACT that’s clinically proven to lower your blood pressure 14 pts in only 30 days. Beetroots Finally there’s a vegetable called Beetroot. This helps vasodilate and open up your arteries for improved blood flow and lower blood pressure levels. ☝️ 3 Pressure Points That’ll Instantly Lower Your Blood Pressure Naturally

How I Lowered My Dad’s Blood Pressure by 23% In Just A Few days - NO Drugs or Diets: 👉http://drsam.co/yt/LongTermLowBP Or you can watch this video: http://drsam.co/yt/WorstFoodForBP ======================================= ☝️ 3 Pressure Points That’ll Instantly Lower Your Blood Pressure Naturally ======================================= Lowering high blood pressure is a very important topic not only for avoiding a heart attack or stroke, but simply for a longer life. And personally speaking, this is very important for me because I have a family history of high blood pressure, which has typically lead to strokes on my dad’s side of the family and heart attacks on my mom’s. The good news is that there are lots of simple ways to lower high blood pressure, naturally. And today I’m going reveal 3 simple pressure points on your body, that will instantly lower your blood pressure. Something important that I want to bring to your attention about today’s topic is that these solutions are for instant results, NOT long-term solutions … which I’ll get to at the end of today’s video. So if you’re feeling stressed or your blood pressure is rising, you can almost instantly and quickly use today’s 3 pressure points to lower your blood pressure and help avoid anything bad from happening. If nothing else, you’ll get instant relief and relaxation. Acupressure Point LI4 LI 4, which stands for “Large Intestine 4”, is an extremely useful acupressure point that is extensively used to treat chronic pain, acute stress and various types of diseases along with treatment for high blood pressure. This point is situated in the webbing between the forefinger and the thumb… right in the middle as you see here. It calms and balances blood flow throughout the body and clears stagnation. As an added benefit, it also boosts your immunity. The most effective way to apply pressure to LI 4 is to slide your thumb along the webbing until you reach the junction of the thumb and index finger bones. How to apply acupressure? Begin by moving your thumb in a small circular rubbing motion over LI 4 for a few seconds. Then you can apply gentle to moderate thumb pressure depending on how sensitive the area feels. If there is any pain, it should be a “good hurt,” not severe or uncomfortable. You can hold the point as long as you are comfortable, up to several minutes. I typically suggest about 20-30 seconds, then take a few second break and then repeat as often as you’d like. PC 6 PC 6 or Pericardium 6 is yet another important acupressure point for treating high blood pressure. It soothes and helps the heart and circulatory system in their proper functioning. This point is also known as the Inner Gate, and it is located on the inner forearm, approximately three finger-widths away from the wrist crease as you see here. This point can be stimulated by applying firm pressure to the point using your index finger or thumb. Again, apply pressure for about 20-30 seconds, then take a break and repeat as needed. G20 The G20 is below the base of your skull, in the hollows on both sides of the neck, between the two vertical neck muscles. Putting pressure here lowers your blood pressure, reduces headaches and stress by relaxing your nervous system. Use your thumbs, fingers, or knuckles to gradually apply pressure into the hollows of your skull. Close your eyes as you tilt your head back slowly. Take long, slow deep breaths as you hold for two to three minutes. Direct the pressure slowly and firmly into the center of your head. Other Acupressure Points Now, there are lots of other acupressure points -- on your feet, arms, legs, and so forth. I picked these 3 areas for lowering your blood pressure because you can do them any where, any place -- they’re easy to access. It’s just your hand, forearm/wrist and the back of your head. Easy access, you can do it yourself and you’ll get fast relief. ======================================== Thank you for watching. Please feel free to comment, like or share with your friends. 8 Foods That Help Lower Blood Pressure

Dark Chocolate Hooray for dark chocolate! Eating about 30 calories a day of dark chocolate — just one tiny square — was shown to help lower blood pressure after 18 weeks without weight gain or other adverse effects, according to a study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA). Choose dark chocolate consisting of at least 70 percent cocoa powder. Because chocolate is also high in calories, you'll want to be very careful not to overdo it. Soybeans Soybeans are another excellent source of potassium and magnesium. Look for soybeans in the pod (edamame) in the freezer case at your grocery store; for a healthy snack, boil one cup and pop them directly out of the shell into your mouth. If you miss the salt, lightly sprinkle with salt substitute. Bananas This functional fruit is packed with potassium, so it's a great choice for an on-the-go snack. Add a banana to your breakfast (my Strawberry-Banana Cottage Cheese With Almonds makes a great morning meal) or for an evening treat, slice a banana into several half-inch wheels, place them in a small plastic bag, and freeze. Frozen bananas — yum! Baked White Potato Potatoes are rich in both magnesium and potassium, two vital nutrients for heart health. When potassium is low, the body retains extra sodium (and too much sodium raises blood pressure). On the other hand, when you eat a potassium-rich diet, the body becomes more efficient at getting rid of excess sodium. Like potassium, magnesium is also a key player in promoting healthy blood flow. Therefore, maintaining a healthy balance of both minerals can help keep high blood pressure at bay. Beans Nutritious and versatile, beans (including black, white, navy, lima, pinto, and kidney) are chock-full of soluble fiber, magnesium, and potassium, all excellent ingredients for lowering blood pressure and improving overall heart health. Add beans to your favorite salads, soups, or wraps; as a bonus, they're pretty inexpensive. Unsalted Sunflower Seeds Sunflower seeds are also a great source of magnesium. A quarter cup of these makes a nutritious snack — but be sure to buy them unsalted, since salted sunflower seeds are high in sodium, which you want to avoid. Spinach A green leafy delight, spinach is low in calories, high in fiber, and packed with heart-healthy nutrients like potassium, folate, and magnesium — key ingredients for lowering and maintaining blood pressure levels. An easy way to eat more of this great green? Try mixing fresh spinach leaves into salads or adding them to sandwiches. Skim Milk It truly does a body good! Drinking heart-healthy skim milk or 1 percent milk will provide you with calcium and vitamin D — the two nutrients work as a team to help reduce blood pressure by 3 to 10 percent. Although this doesn't sound like much, it could add up to about a 15 percent reduction in risk for cardiovascular disease.

7 Ways to lower blood pressure naturally at home

03:48
High blood pressure, or hypertension, is a serious medical condition which can’t be fixed overnight. If you do have high blood pressure, there are some lifestyle and dietary changes that you can make to begin lowering your blood-pressure right away. You should also get regular screenings at least every two years to discuss whether you might also need medications. 1. Begin exercising right away. Exercise is an excellent way to control high blood pressure. It will help you lose weight, reduce stress, and feel good. Talk to your doctor before beginning a new exercise routine to make sure you are healthy enough 2. Start relaxing right away. Stress increases your blood pressure; if you are experiencing a temporary elevation in blood pressure because of stress, this is one instance in which you might be able to decrease it almost "overnight." Relaxation techniques may help you to keep things in perspective and reduce the physical toll stress takes on your body. Things to try include:[4] • Deep-breathing • Meditation • Yoga 3. Quit smoking or using tobacco. Tobacco hardens and narrows your arteries, which increases your blood pressure. This is true for both smokers and people who are exposed to secondhand smoke. Quitting will improve your health immediately. 4. Reduce your fat and sugar intake immediately. This will help you to control your weight and lower your risk of heart disease. Eat no more than three tablespoons of fat per day and five sweets per week. Easy ways to quickly cut fat and sugar include: • Substituting fruits for dessert rather than the more traditional, fatty and sugary foods like pastries, cookies, cakes, puddings, and candies. • Eat dry sandwiches rather than adding mayonnaise or butter. 5. Reduce your salt consumption right away. Eating too much salt can contribute to high blood pressure. The DASH diet, which is stands for Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension, permits only 2,300 mg of salt each day Ways to cut salt include: Cutting down on prepackaged, processed snacks. These often have a lot of salt added for flavoring. Look at the packaging to see how much salt they contain. Foods like salted pretzels, chips, and salted nuts are better avoided all together. 6. Switch immediately to eating whole grain carbohydrates. The DASH diet recommends six to eight servings of grains daily. Whole grains contain more nutrients and fiber than processed white flour. This means that you will get more nutrition per serving and feel less hungry. 7. Increase the amount of fruits and vegetables you eat. This is a great way to quickly improve your diet. The DASH diet recommends four to five servings of fruit and four to five servings of vegetables. A serving size is a half a cup. Because fruits and vegetables are great sources of potassium and magnesium, they will start to control your blood-pressure right away. Snacking on fruits and vegetables between meals. A fresh apple, pear, carrot, or green pepper is neat and easy to pack with you on a busy day. 7 Natural ways to lower your blood pressure

03:52
7 Natural ways to lower your blood pressure High blood pressure is also called hypertension. Two factors contribute to high blood pressure: the quantity of blood your heart pumps and how narrow your arteries are. High blood pressure raises your risk of heart problems and strokes. Most people have no symptoms, so the best way to detect it is to get screened during a checkup at your doctor’s office at least every year. If you do have high blood pressure, there are some dietary and lifestyle changes that can help you lower your blood pressure 1. Reduce sodium in your diet Foods high in sodium include table-salt, sauces, salad-dressings, bacon, pickles, snacks, fast-foods, canned-foods, etc. Even a small reduction in the sodium in your diet can reduce blood pressure by 2 to 8 millimeter of mercury. The effect of sodium intake on blood pressure varies among groups of people. In general, limit sodium to less than 2,300 milligrams a day or less. 2. Reduce your stress Chronic stress is an important contributor to high blood pressure. Occasional stress also can contribute to high blood pressure if you react to stress by eating unhealthy food, drinking alcohol or smoking. Take some time to think about what causes you to feel stressed, such as work, family, finances or illness. Once you know what's causing your stress, consider how you can eliminate or reduce stress. If you can't eliminate all of your stressors, you can at least cope with them in a healthier way. 3. Exercise regularly Regular physical activity at least 30 minutes most days of the week can lower your blood pressure by 4 to 9 millimeters of mercury. It's important to be consistent because if you stop exercising, your blood pressure can rise again. If you have slightly high blood pressure (prehypertension), exercise can help you avoid developing full-blown hypertension. If you already have hypertension, regular physical activity can bring your blood pressure down to safer levels. 4.Eat a healthy diet Eating a diet that is rich in whole grains, fruits, vegetables and low-fat dairy products and skimps on saturated fat and cholesterol can lower your blood pressure by up to 14 millimeters of mercury. This eating plan is known as the Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension. 5. Supplement your diet with nuts, seeds, and legumes. They are relatively high in fat, but they also have magnesium, potassium, fiber, and protein. Because of this, the DASH-Diet (Dietary-Approaches-to-Stop-Hypertension) recommends eating only four or five servings per week. 1 serving is 1/3 of a cup of nuts. 6.Restrict your sugar consumption. Processed sugars add calories to your diet without providing you with the nutrients that will make you feel satisfied. Reduce your consumption of sweets to, at most, five per week. A serving is a tablespoon of sugar or jelly 7. Monitor your blood pressure at home and see your doctor regularly Home monitoring can help you keep tabs on your blood pressure, make certain your lifestyle changes are working, and alert you and your doctor to potential health complications. How To Lower Blood Sugar Immediately

05:00
You can find Sensolin here: https://www.truthnutra.com/sensolin-yt In the next 60 seconds I'm going to show how to lower blood sugar immediately and naturally increase insulin sensitivity. So first off, let's take a look at… What is insulin? Insulin is a hormone that's produced by the pancreas, that helps turn sugars from carbohydrates to energy. It also allows the body to store glucose for future use. The muscles and liver store the sugars as glycogen, which causes muscle cells to expand. Likewise, fat cells store the sugar as triglycerides and may expand as well. Now, what is insulin sensitivity, and insulin resistance. Insulin sensitivity is how receptive the body is to the insulin it produces. When the body is properly sensitive to insulin, it uses that insulin produced and effectively removes it from the bloodstream, making energy and storing glucose for later. A healthy body is sensitive to insulin, which means it needs to make less insulin to stay healthy. Better yet, being more insulin sensitive allows the body to utilize carbohydrates properly for more energy, building muscle, and will also help the body store less fat. What's even better, is that greater insulin sensitivity is going to lead to higher T levels in men. Now what are some signs that a person might have poor insulin sensitivity? Or have developed insulin resistance? Higher insulin levels can cause weight gain, higher insulin levels can cause aging, higher insulin levels can cause reduced T, higher insulin levels increases cravings for junk foods, and also leads to blood pressure issues. With all of this in mind, for anyone who feels as though they're one of those people who is constantly riding the blood sugar roller coaster, with blood sugar all over the place, depending on what you eat, when you eat, and you get hangry and get crazy when they don't have food, For everyone who needs help with blood sugar control and needs to increase their insulin sensitivity naturally, and for the good people out there who don't want to go take drugs to achieve this, I've got 3 natural compounds to use today to simply, and quickly increase insulin sensitivity naturally and get control over those cravings once again. Now the first thing is what's known as berberine. Now berberine is an alkaloid extract taken from various plants and it's been used in traditional chinese medicine for centuries. Some of the benefits of berberine include, anti-inflammatory and antidiabetic effects, improved intestinal health, improved cholesterol numbers, increased exercise performance, and decreased blood pressure. Now the recommended dosage for berberine is between 500-1500mg/day. It's also recommended to take this dosage split between 2-3 times throughout the day. Now next up, we have cinnamon ceylon oil. Cinnamon is commonly used as a spice but it's also known for its numerous biological effects on the body. The best type of cinnamon is ceylon because it has lower coumarin content. Cinnamon has a ton of benefits, including reducing the rate at which glucose enters the body, improved glucose usage in cells, lower fasting blood sugar, and improved cholesterol levels. Now the recommended dosage for daily cinnamon intake is between 1-6g per day. And the third compound, the third natural ingredient that you can consume on a daily basis is actually what's known as chromium. Chromium is an essential mineral that's consumed through your diet. It's found in plant products and grains. The benefits of chromium include, a regulation of glucose metabolism, improved insulin sensitivity, it is used to treat glucose intolerance in type 2 diabetes, leads to a great reduction in appetite, improved symptoms of depression, and a noticeable increase in libido with the right amount of chromium. Now the daily recommended dosage of chromium is between 800-1000 mcg. At this point, some of y'all are probably wondering: where do we get all these things? One option is to search around on Amazon and try to find them, but we did at Truth Nutra is that we put together a supplement known as Sensolin (hold up sensolin bottle). Sensolin is specifically designed with these three ingredients at the exact clinical dosages shown in human studies to actually work, to actually help regulate blood glucose and to help with insulin sensitivity. Now we put them all in here, it's a very simple supplement. And it actually works. 7 Foods That Are Good For High Blood Pressure

02:03
7 Foods That Are Good For High Blood Pressure Eating more foods rich in potassium, calcium, and magnesium. In general, you should eat more low-fat protein sources, whole grains, and plenty of fruits and vegetables. The following slides present some of the best foods you can eat to lower your blood pressure. Leafy Greens Foods high in potassium give you a better ratio of potassium to sodium. Improvements in this ratio can help with lowering blood pressure. Leafy greens like romaine lettuce, arugula, kale, turnip greens, collard greens, and spinach are high in potassium. Try to opt for fresh or frozen greens, as canned vegetables often have added sodium. Frozen vegetables, on the other hand, contain just as many nutrients as they do when fresh and are easy to store. Berries Berries, especially blueberries, are rich in natural compounds called flavonoids. One study published in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition found that consuming these compounds may prevent hypertension, and possibly help to reduce high blood pressure as well. Blueberries, raspberries, and strawberries are easy to add to your diet. Put them on your cereal every morning. Keep frozen berries on hand for a quick and healthful dessert. Potatoes Potatoes are high in both potassium and magnesium, two minerals that can help to lower your blood pressure. They are also high in fiber, which is necessary for an overall healthy diet. Enjoy a baked potato as the centerpiece of your dinner. Instead of fattening and salty butter and sour cream, try adding plain yogurt or salsa for flavor. Beets Researchers at the Queen Mary University of London found that patients with high blood pressure saw significant improvements in blood pressure from drinking beetroot juice. The study authors concluded that it was the nitrates in the juice that brought down the participants’ blood pressure within just 24 hours. You can juice your own beets or simply cook and eat the whole root. Beetroot is delicious when roasted or when added to stir-fries and stews. Remember to use caution when handling beets—their deep red color will stain your hands and clothes. Skim Milk The DASH diet recommends increasing the amount of calcium-rich foods that you eat. Skim milk is an excellent source of calcium and is low in fat, another important element of a diet for lowering blood pressure. Swap out your higher-fat milk for skim milk, or if you don’t care for milk, eat more low-fat or non-fat yogurt. Just watch out for those that are high in sugar. Oatmeal High-fiber, low-fat, and low-sodium foods are just what you want for lowering your blood pressure, and oatmeal fits the bill. Oatmeal for your breakfast is a great way to charge up for the day. On its own, oatmeal can be bland, but refrain from adding too much sugar. Instead, add fresh or frozen berries to sweeten it up, and maybe just a touch of honey. Bananas Bananas are a great way to add potassium to your diet. Adding foods that are rich in this mineral to your diet is better than taking supplements, and it’s easy. Slice a banana into your breakfast cereal or oatmeal, or take one to work every day for a quick, easy, and inexpensive snack. Bananas Bananas are a great way to add potassium to your diet. http://bit.ly/lbptoday Foods That Lower Blood Pressure are key in the battle against hypertension. If you're looking for a natural remedy that will help you support and maintain a healthy blood pressure, click the link at the beginning of the description. If you would like more articles and tips on lower your blood pressure visit my site at http://LowerMyBP.info Foods That Lower Blood Pressure Will Eating Nuts Lower My Blood Pressure? The answer is a resounding "YES". Eating nuts helped me lower my blood pressure and is one of the main foods that lower blood pressure. You should go 'Nuts' for nuts, as they contain the monounsaturated fats that clear your arteries and also help you feel full! Almonds are your greatest ally, eat up to 2 handfuls a day. Other nuts to eat include flaxseed, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds and avocados. One ounce of pumpkin seeds for instance contain 151 mg of magnesium, that's more than a third of the daily recommended intake. Magnesium deficiencies have been linked to most risk factors for heart disease, including high blood pressure. Get an in depth understanding of why eating nuts play a major role in lowering blood pressure by visiting http://www.lowermybloodpressuretoday.info! P.S. Stay away from smoked and salted nuts as they are imposters. They have a high sodium content and that can lead to high blood pressure. Can I Lower My Blood Pressure By Eating Fruit? Yes you can, eat it, love it, live it. But certain fruits are more effective than others. Let's start at the beginning of the alphabet. A is for apple, and an apple a day keeps high blood pressure away. Eating apples frequently lowers your risk of HBP by 20 percent. Bananas are loaded with potassium, and not getting the correct amount of potassium daily can set you up for high blood pressure. One grapefruit a day can reduce arterial narrowing by 46 percent and help drop your blood pressure by more than 5 points. Raspberries, strawberries and blueberries are all packed with salicylic acid-the same high blood pressure fighter found in aspirin. So the next time you pass on the fruit tray, you may want to think twice! Fish: Does Eating It, Lower My Blood Pressure? Fish is one of those dishes, where you either like it or don't like it for the most part. Well I love it, even more so, since I learned of its huge benefits for fighting high blood pressure. If you have to choose one, make it tuna. The omega-3 fats in tuna and other fish help to strengthen the heart muscle and lower blood pressure in the body. Halibut is great as well. I Lowered My Blood Pressure When I Changed My Oil Before Eating... Researchers in India found that people who replaced the corn and vegetable oils in their kitchen pantries with monounsaturated fats (olive oil, or sesame seed oil) lowered their blood pressure by more than 30 points in just 60 days without making any other changes in their diet! WOW! My recommendation is to go to Sams Club or Cotsco, buy the gallon size of it, that way you don't run out as fast and it is cheaper. More Tea Please: Eating and Drinking Healthy Helped Lower My Blood Pressure and My Moms'! An American Heart Association study found that men who drank two cups of tea a day were 25 percent less likely to die of heart disease caused by high blood pressure than men who barely drank it. The reason is because of the flavonoids found in tea. They not only improve blood vessels' ability to relax but they also thin the blood which reduces clotting. The same holds true for women. My mom has high blood pressure, and she simply changed her morning beverage from coffee to tea. Doing this has not only lowered her blood pressure, but it has also aided in her losing 25+ pounds! When it comes to our blood pressure, food can be our worst enemy or our best friend, it's up to us to decide. Find out how to use food to your advantage and let it be your ally in the battle against high blood pressure, for more information on foods that lower blood pressure, visit http://LowerMyBloodPressureToday.info

► TOP 10 Causes Of High Blood Pressure

How I lowered my dad's blood pressure, without drugs or diets ►►http://drsam.co/yt/SeeItYourself ======================================= Top 10 Causes Of High Blood Pressure ======================================= 1. AGE Most people don’t realize that AGE is one of the BIGGEST factors for high blood pressure. I discuss this in my very important article, but what’s important to note is that after the age of 40, 33% of the population has high blood pressure and after the age of 60, over 71% of the population has hypertension! So, if you’re over the age of 40 and have high blood pressure, it may not be your fault. But it IS your responsibility to fix it right away and here is how I lowered my dad’s blood pressure naturally, in just 30 days. 2. GENETICS & FAMILY HISTORY Well, not much can be done here. This is in fact my own problem because I have a family history (on my dad’s side) of hypertension, heart attacks and especially strokes. You can read more about it, include my personal favorite solution that my dad, my family and I use to promote healthy blood pressure levels, naturally! 3. SMOKING Come on people, smoking has NO health benefits. STOP smoking! 4. ALCOHOL A little bit of alcohol is okay, especially if it’s organic red wine. But drinking every night will cause damage to your heart, arteries and liver. Alcohol is a toxic and it’s acidic, both being bad for your body. 5. BEING OVERWEIGHT Similar to smoking, being overweight has no health benefits. And the older you get, the harder it is to lose that unwanted fat. 6. SODIUM Salt has its benefits actually. Regular table salt or salt found in processed foods and packages is BAD for you. However, “natural” salts such as Himalayan rock or Celtic sea salt is GOOD for you and can actually help LOWER blood pressure. I’ll discuss this in a future article. 7. STRESS Well know stress is bad. However, you can’t get rid of it. What’s important is the MEANING you give to stressful situations. If you freak out, get negative and focus on the problem the entire time … you put your body under extra stress. The secret is to focus on the SOLUTION and to know that “this too shall pass” and worrying about the problem isn’t going to help anything… Especially our blood pressure or heart. 8. LACK OF PHYSICAL ACTIVITY We sit too much these days. Just get outside and walk daily, even if it’s just for 15-20 minutes. It’ll do wonders for your physical AND mental health! 9. MEDICAL CONDITIONS This goes back to “genetics”. And if you know you have a genetic “problem”, which is making things worse, then you MUST make changes to your life-style because your body is more sensitive than the average person. This is a similar problem with my dad and why he had a stroke. 10. MEDICATION Ironically, many “heart” medications actually cause more heart PROBLEMS in the long run. They can increase your cholesterol, blood sugar or blood pressure levels. They can decrease blood flow and circulation. And they all cause extra stress on your liver and kidneys, which then cause more problems for your heart.
