In fact by finding the ideal shoes for the shape of your feet, you will run much easier than with ordinary trainers. In this video we will learn how to match your running shoes to your foot shape by Following these 5 things to look for when shopping for running shoes for women. First comes the heel of the shoe which should fit snug but not exactly tight. Second we have the instep, which should fit comfortably and firmly on top of your feet. In case you find it too tight, you can try a different way to lace up your trainer and if that doesn’t work either, you could try another pair. Third comes the width of the shoe, which should ideally leave your toes to move freely from one side to another and not feel squished. You can find widest point of your shoe within its insole. Since your feet might swell as you run, you need a bit of extra space so your toes move freely. Then we have the length of the shoe. When you take your thumb and place it horizontally, you can determine the ideal space from the edge of your longest toe to shoe’s front so you have a bit of space when running as your toes swell. Finally another thing to consider is the arch support which is divided into three categories, the low-arch, the normal-arch and the high-arch. I will explain those in a while. Ideally, there is a type of shoe that fits best each type of foot arch. Here is a trick to find out your foot arch in case you aren’t sure. You simply wet the sole of your feet and press them on a paper towel to make a footprint. Compare your footprints to the images shown to determine your arch. Now if you have a low arch, you have the tendency to land on the external part of your foot and roll into the internal part of your foot as you transfer your weight. If you fit in this type, you’ll need motion control running shoes as they improve the stability of your feet and prevent them from moving around. In case your arch is normal, you have a tendency to land in the middle towards the outer corner of your heel and roll lightly towards the inside ball of your feet. The shoes that would suit you best are Stability running shoes which add just the right amount of stability to your sole. Finally, if you have a high arch, that means that you tend to land on the external corner of your feet and carry the rest of your body weight along the lateral side of your feet to your little toes. Experts call this “underpronation” because the foot doesn’t get enough rotation. The shoes that will fit you the best in this case would be Cushioned running shoes which will absorb the shock and leave room for flexibility and better rotation of your feet. There you go! Repped by Brooke Burke and Kim Kardashian, the shoes claimed to tone your legs without ever hitting the gym—making quote, the bottom half their better half." But, the Federal Trade Commission is racking in over $40 million from Sketchers to settle the fact that their claims just aren't true. The money will be used to refund dissatisfied customers which by the looks of it will be most. But this isn't the first toning sneaker that has had to drop a pretty penny on its portrayal that sneakers will take the place of the gym—Reebok paid $25 million to appease the people that purchased their brand of toning sneaks. But Skecher's was the leading brand in these type of shoes with Shape-Ups, Resistance Runner, Toners and Toneups, all of which were said to do the same thing. The director of the FTC's Bureau of Consumer protection even said that the shoes caused some to gain weight—and that the studies that we're done on the shoe we're most definitely rigged. But, who wouldn't have believed the brand with hot bodided Kim Kardashian and Brooke Burke leading the way with their Super Bowl Commercials. In fact—Skecher's still believes that their magical sneakers do the job. According to TMZ they're not done yet. This video is about shoes I have utilized for squatting and my opinion on the best shoes out there. If you would like a independent review on any of the shoes please leave in the comments below. I have used the Nike Romaleos previously as well but sold them as I found them to be clunky and heavy and heel to high for my comfort although for Olympic weightlifting I believe they are excellent. Elevate your feet while resting when you get home. Avoiding Trouble Improving the circulation of blood to the feet can help prevent problems. Exposure to cold temperatures or water, pressure from shoes, long periods of sitting, obesity, or smoking can reduce blood flow to the feet. Even sitting with your legs crossed or wearing tight, elastic garters or socks can affect circulation. On the other hand, raising the feet, standing up and stretching, walking, and other forms of exercise promote good circulation. Gentle massage and warm foot baths can also help increase circulation to the feet. Comfortable Shoes Wearing comfortable shoes that fit well can prevent many foot ailments. Foot width may increase with age. Always have your feet measured before buying shoes. The upper part of the shoes should be made of a soft, flexible material to match the shape of your foot. Shoes made of leather can reduce the possibility of skin irritations. Soles should provide solid footing and not be slippery. Thick soles lessen pressure when walking on hard surfaces. Low-heeled shoes are more comfortable, safer, and less damaging than high-heeled shoes. Corns, Bunions • Corns and calluses are caused by the friction and pressure of bony areas rubbing against shoes. A podiatrist or a physician can determine the cause of this condition and can suggest treatment, which may include getting better-fitting shoes or special pads. Over-the-counter medicines, contain acids that destroy the tissue but do not treat the cause. These medicines can sometimes reduce the need for surgery. Treating corns or calluses yourself may be harmful, especially if you have diabetes or poor circulation. Bunions develop when big toe joints are out of line and become swollen and tender. Bunions may be caused by poor-fitting shoes that press on a deformity or an inherited weakness in the foot. If a bunion is not severe, wearing shoes cut wide at the instep and toes may provide relief. Protective pads can also cushion the painful area. Bunions can be treated by applying or injecting certain drugs, using whirlpool baths, or sometimes having surgery. Hammertoes • Hammertoe is caused by shortening the tendons that control toe movements. The toe knuckle is usually enlarged, drawing the toe back. Over time, the joint enlarges and stiffens as it rubs against shoes. • Your balance may be affected. Hammertoe is treated by wearing shoes and stockings with plenty of toe room. In advanced cases, surgery may be recommended.
