The BEST Test for Gluten Sensitivity
Sign Up for The Underground Newsletter - http://www.yowhatsupyall.com The BEST Test for Gluten Sensitivity  Gluten is the combination of gliadin and glutenin. If you are experiencing symptoms that you believe are associated with gluten consumption, and go to the doctor for a blood test, the doctor will look for gliadin, endomysium, and transglutaminase. One thing the doctor does not tell you is that there are different types of gliadin: alpha, beta, omega and gamma, and the test only looks for alpha gliadin. Glutenin is the other half of gluten. People can be equally as reactive to glutenin as they are to gliadin, but they are not being tested for it. Wheat germ agglutinin (WGA) is a lectin, which binds on to carbohydrates. They are found in high concentrations in whole wheat and sprouted wheat. When you eat WGA, it can cause your red blood cells clump together and it can pass through the blood-brain barrier, attach to your myelin sheath, and reduce nerve growth factor. Deamidated gliadin is the result of the food industry processing gluten to make it water soluble. Your T-cells are very reactive to deamidated gliadin. When you digest gliadin, you make gluteomorphin. The consumption of gluten may trigger antibodies to gluteomorphin and/or prodynorphin which can cause neurological issues. Lastly, you want to look for antibodies to transglutaminase. How do you test for all of this? Go to http://www.cyrexlabs.com and get the Wheat/Gluten Proteome Sensitivity and Autoimmune Panel. Why People Are Allergic To Gluten — And Why Caucasians Are Most At Risk
Where does gluten intolerance really come from? It turns out the genes that cause it can be tracked down to northern Europe. Peter Green, the director of Celiac Disease Center at Columbia University, explains the myths surrounding gluten-free diets. Tech Insider tells you all you need to know about tech: gadgets, how-to's, gaming, science, digital culture, and more. Subscribe to our channel and visit us at: http://www.businessinsider.com/sai TI on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/techinsider TI on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/tech_insider/ TI on Twitter: https://twitter.com/techinsider -------------------------------------------------- Following is the transcript of the video: I’m Peter Green. I'm the director of the Celiac Disease Center at Columbia University. Celiac disease is actually a disease of Caucasians. The genes that are involved in celiac disease are northern European genes. Now, they've been spread all around the world, but if you look at which ethnic groups have celiac disease, it's much less common in black people and Asian except South Asian. In the study that we did, the ethnic group with the greatest prevalence of celiac disease in this country was individuals from Northern India. It's common but there is an ethnic predilection for it to be in Caucasians. So to have celiac disease, you’ve got to be ingesting gluten, and 99% of us are doing that and you got to have these particular northern European genes, and 40% of us have those genes yet only 1% have celiac disease so that suggests that there are environmental factors and other genes, about 30 other genes have been described that can be factors in the development of celiac disease. But we think environmental factors are very important. There are a whole number of risk factors like antibiotics, PPI or the proton pump acid-reducing drugs, being born by cesarean section increases the risk. We need to do a lot more research to define what the risk factors are and then the mechanism of that so that we can prevent this increase in celiac disease that has been observed over the last 50 years worldwide. 5 Foods That Destroy Your Hormones and Skin
Once we leave the teenage years, we may think acne is a thing of the past. But later in life, an imbalance of hormones can shake things up and acne takes center stage again. An endocrine imbalance is the culprit responsible for triggering hormonal acne. Women in mid-cycle and/or right before their periods are easy prey. These are the two times a month when estrogen and testosterone spike. These two hormones can accumulate if not properly detoxed. And when estrogen dominates, the complexion is fertile ground where inflamed skin and acne can thrive. Luckily there is a natural solution that may provide relief. The first step is to pay attention to your diet. The food you ingest can disrupt your hormones which in turns, produces inflammation. But on the flip side, the right kinds of food can balance hormones and soothe your skin. In today’s video we’ll examine the foods which work for and against your hormones. Foods to Avoid 1. Soy Soy has been on the suspect list of instigating acne. If you think you are sensitive to soy, try eliminating it from your diet and see if your condition improves. It contains phytoestrogens which can create a hormonal imbalance. 2. Dairy Excess dairy consumption can contribute to a surplus of hormones that can lead to acne. Dairy is also a primary cause for leaky guy syndrome. 3. Gluten Like dairy, Gluten can disrupt hormones. It can create intestinal inflammation and produce a domino effect of health issues. 4. Caffeine Caffeine is a kick-starter for millions every morning. Yet it often comes with a tradeoff. It can take its toll on your skin’s immune response. A steady combination of coffee and tea can strip away many essential vitamins which are essential to maintaining a vibrant complexion. 5. Canola, Sunflower, Safflower and Vegetable Oil If you have acne-prone skin, put these oils on your radar as ones to avoid. They have certain nutrients that can ignite a fire storm on your complexion, especially during peak estrogen days. The Best Foods for Your Complexion 1. Avocados Avocados contain a substance that can bring hormone levels back under control. Adding avocados to your diet can be a natural defense system to ward off inflammation. 2. Turmeric Another spice you may already have in your kitchen cabinets is Turmeric. Besides its natural ability to reduce inflammation, pain and swelling, it’s also a remedy for your skin. 3. Chia Seeds One of the highest sources of omega-3’s in nature can be found in this gluten-free grain. These little marvels can stabilize blood sugar, improve insulin sensitivity and keep blood pressure spikes in check. 4. Cinnamon In your spice rack, you may already have a secret weapon. Cinnamon. This aromatic spice contains anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties that help regulate hormones. 5. Pomegranates Mood swings can be tempered by eating Pomegranates. They produce the same estrogens that female ovaries do. They also are rich in anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. -------------------------------------------------------- Disclaimer: The materials and the information contained on Natural Cures channel are provided for general and educational purposes only and do not constitute any legal, medical or other professional advice on any subject matter. Gluten Allergy Symptoms – When to Eliminate Gluten!
http://utahtexans.com/ Click on the link above for a free video guide to dietary supplements and alternative medicine! Today I'm going to share with you the leading gluten allergy symptoms. Perhaps you have seen the words gluten free written on a food label and wondered what it meant and is it healthy. Gluten is a protein that is used to help foods keep their shape, almost like glue. Most people eat it without any problems, but there is a small minority of people that have issues with it and this is called Celiac Disease. When I mean a small minority of people I'm talking about less than 1%. Their immune system thinks it's as evil as Dark Vader from Star Wars and it starts to harm the small intestines. This damages a person's ability to absorb nutrients and brings about a wide range of symptoms. Apart from people that have Celiac Disease there is also a class of people that have sensitivity or allergy to it. This just means their body doesn't like it, but it's not as extreme as Celiac Disease. There is also one more class of people associated with gluten and can you guess what it is? Yep, the last group is a huge majority of people that can eat gluten without any problems. The million dollar question is how do I know if I'm sensitive to gluten and I have an allergic reaction to it? The first area that might have some trouble will be digestion. If you constantly struggle with constipation, diarrhea and possibly stomach aches then gluten might just be the problem. Next when it comes to your mental health do you have trouble concentrating? How about problems with memory, brain fog and headaches? Another sign is if you feel irritable, anxious, depressed more often then you feel you should? Maybe everyone feels irritable and depressed more than they should, but it is a symptom of a gluten allergy. Lastly, there could be some skin problems if someone has trouble with gluten. This includes wanting to itch the skin a lot, which could be very annoying. Another sign would be hives and visible red rashes on the skin. If you do experience these symptoms I recommend giving a gluten free life a test drive. Eliminate gluten from your life for a little while and see what happens. If you notice many problems disappearing then you might want to continue going gluten free. If nothing happens then there is no reason not to consume this protein and you can enjoy all the food that comes with it. To sum everything up the leading gluten allergy symptoms involve digestion problems. This includes constipation, diarrhea and stomach pains. A person could notice trouble with concentration, memory, irritability, anxiety, brain fog and headaches. Lastly a person's skin might itch a lot and there could be a rash as well as hives. Supplements and alternative medicine can be confusing and even harmful. Make things really simple and give your body a HUGE edge by viewing a free video guide I created at http://utahtexans.com/.

Food Sensitivities- Joseph Smith (January 2017)
“Food Sensitivities” - a presentation by Joseph Smith, DC, DACNB, FACFN that took place on January 19, 2017. Food sensitivities are very common in our society, although most people don’t know if they have any. One of the best ways to discover your food sensitivities is to do a food elimination diet. You do this by removing a food from your diet for a minimum of six weeks (120 days is best), then reintroduce the food and see how you feel. Some of the most common food sensitivities are: gluten, wheat, dairy, corn, soy, and chocolate, but it could be any food. Food sensitivities have been associated with some diseases. A study on multiple sclerosis, published in Neurology 2001 states, “The authors describe 10 patients with gluten sensitivity and abnormal MRI. All experienced episodic headache, six had unsteadiness, and four had gait ataxia. MRI abnormalities varied from confluent areas of high signal throughout the white matter to foci of high signal scattered in both hemispheres. Symptomatic response to gluten free diet was seen in nine patients.” This study shows that 9 out of ten patients diagnosed with abnormal brain MRI’s diagnosed with M.S. showed dramatic improvement with a 30 day gluten free diet. Dementia is has been linked to gluten allergies. Lancet 1999 stated "High levels of circulating antigliaden antibodies (gliaden is a protein sub fraction of gluten) were found in 57% of patients with neurological dysfunction and early stage dementia. According to the European Journal of Gastroenterology 1998, “celiac disease patients (a gluten allergy) have a ten times increase of auto immune thyroiditis.” If you have autoimmune thryroiditis, but you don’t have celiac disease, it’s a safe assumption that you have a gluten sensitivity and it should be completely eliminated from the diet. Allergy Treatment (Gluten Allergy)
Gluten Allergies can go away. My system houses over 55,000 different digital signals. We place a cuff on the arm and send groups of digital signals into the skin while measuring the skins electrical response or change. We then take the signals that your skin reacted to the strongest and send them back into the skin at specific acupuncture points. My Food Allergy System has specialized lasers that are connected to the computer. By sending the digital signals that the body thinks are "Bad" or Negative" through the laser (the same as sending music and tv through FiOS) into your skin at specific acupuncture points, the positive charge of the laser, mixed with the digital signal, flips your body's opinion of the "Negative" substance to "Positive". For most it takes three or five visits to change the abnormal reaction to common substances. For the lucky ones it is a single visit. For severe or plentiful food sensitivities a full treatment plan of ten visits may be necessary. The success rate for this treatment is extremely high for foods. And Just in case you were wondering, Chiropractic Adjustments are not necessary with this treatment.

Celiac Disease: Symptoms, Pathophysiology, Diet Nursing NCLEX Lecture
Celiac disease nursing NCLEX lecture on the symptoms, pathophysiology, nursing interventions, and diet (gluten-free) foods. Celiac disease is an autoimmune GI disorder where when gluten is ingested (which is found in wheat barley, grains, and rye products) it causes damage to the small intestine, specifically the intestinal villi. There are several proteins in wheat and the main protein that causes problems in Celiac Disease is called GLUTEN. Gluten itself is constructed of a group of proteins called gliadin and glutenin. Gliadin is the problem with Celiac Disease which causes an immune response. The amino acids which make up Gliadin can not be broken down into single amino acids but stay as peptides. This causes an immune response. Celiac Disease tends to be genetic and can occur in both children and adults. Celiac Disease is different from a wheat allergy or gluten sensitivity in that it causes similar signs and symptoms, but there isn’t the same extensive damage to the small intestine as in Celiac Disease. There is no cure for Celiac Disease except following a gluten-free diet. Signs and symptoms of Celiac Disease include: Mouth ulcers, Anemia, Lactose intolerance (can't break down lactose), Nausea/vomiting, Osteo (bone) changes (thinning, fractures), Unexplained slow growth, delay puberty (children) and weight loss, Rashes (very itchy rash called dermatitis herpetiformis on the elbows, backside, hairline, and knees), Irregular periods, irritable (depression) (loss of nutrients), Stools: greasy and odorous, Hair loss, Enamel changes to the teeth (yellow or brown spot and deformity), Diarrhea It is important the patient avoids food with gluten. Some foods that contain gluten are: Wheat, Barley, Malt, Beer, Pasta Noodles, Rye, Seasonings, soups, Anything with breading that doesn’t say gluten free,, Anything that looks like bread: croutons, crackers, breads, dough, cookies, most cereals, oats unless they say Gluten-free Quiz on Celiac Disease: http://www.registerednursern.com/celiac-disease-nclex-practice-questions/ Notes: http://www.registerednursern.com/celiac-disease-nclex-review/ More GI lectures: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLQrdx7rRsKfVVQ5TeRY7Vy1Tq3pcGTDFO Subscribe: http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=registerednursern Nursing School Supplies: http://www.registerednursern.com/the-ultimate-list-of-nursing-medical-supplies-and-items-a-new-nurse-student-nurse-needs-to-buy/ Nursing Job Search: http://www.registerednursern.com/nursing-career-help/ Visit our website RegisteredNurseRN.com for free quizzes, nursing care plans, salary information, job search, and much more: http://www.registerednursern.com Check out other Videos: https://www.youtube.com/user/RegisteredNurseRN/videos All of our videos in a playlist: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pAhHxt663pU&list=PLQrdx7rRsKfXMveRcN4df0bad3ugEaQnk Popular Playlists: NCLEX Reviews: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLQrdx7rRsKfWtwCDmLHyX2UeHofCIcgo0 Fluid & Electrolytes: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLQrdx7rRsKfWJSZ9pL8L3Q1dzdlxUzeKv Nursing Skills: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLQrdx7rRsKfUhd_qQYEbp0Eab3uUKhgKb Nursing School Study Tips: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLQrdx7rRsKfWBO40qeDmmaMwMHJEWc9Ms Nursing School Tips & Questions" https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLQrdx7rRsKfVQok-t1X5ZMGgQr3IMBY9M Teaching Tutorials: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLQrdx7rRsKfUkW_DpJekN_Y0lFkVNFyVF Types of Nursing Specialties: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLQrdx7rRsKfW8dRD72gUFa5W7XdfoxArp Healthcare Salary Information: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLQrdx7rRsKfVN0vmEP59Tx2bIaB_3Qhdh New Nurse Tips: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLQrdx7rRsKfVTqH6LIoAD2zROuzX9GXZy Nursing Career Help: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLQrdx7rRsKfVXjptWyvj2sx1k1587B_pj EKG Teaching Tutorials: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLQrdx7rRsKfU-A9UTclI0tOYrNJ1N5SNt Personality Types: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLQrdx7rRsKfU0qHnOjj2jf4Hw8aJaxbtm Dosage & Calculations for Nurses: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLQrdx7rRsKfUYdl0TZQ0Tc2-hLlXlHNXq Diabetes Health Managment: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLQrdx7rRsKfXtEx17D7zC1efmWIX-iIs9

This is the question that the video covers. Books like wheat belly have enhanced the popularity of gluten free diets, but due to their very rapid increasing popularity, such diets have redeemed the status of "fad." Nutrition is always complicated, as the human body is - this topic is no different. I covered some of the reasons why cutting out gluten should evoke weight loss and improve health, especially gut health and conditions like irritable bowel syndrome, but there are actually a couple more reasons to avoid gluten not mentioned here. Based on the other findings in the study, the point that gluten could exacerbate insulin resistance, diabetes and fatty liver still stands. (The study suggests that gluten results in metabolic alterations in lipid and glucose metabolism in GF group instead reduction of lipid absorption.) What is Gluten? |Celiac Disease/Non-celiac Gluten sensitivity/IBS/Wheat Allergy |Symptoms| Diagnosis
What is Gluten?? This is the main question that a person who is new to this term asks and wants to know about, so today in this video you will get to know all about Gluten, diseases due to it, their symptoms diagnosis and much more. . . Gluten is a family of proteins found in grains like wheat, spelt, rye and barley. Gliadin and glutenin are the two main gluten proteins. . What is gluten? Gluten is a family of proteins found in grains like wheat, rye, spelt and barley. Of the gluten-containing grains, wheat is by far the most commonly consumed. The two main proteins in gluten are glutenin and gliadin. Gliadin is responsible for most of the negative health effects. When flour is mixed with water, the gluten proteins form a sticky network that has a glue-like consistency. This glue-like property makes the dough elastic, and gives bread the ability to rise when baked. It also provides a chewy, satisfying texture. Interestingly, the name glu-ten is derived from this glue-like property of wet dough. Bottom Line: Gluten is a family of proteins found in grains like wheat, spelt, rye and barley. Gliadin and glutenin are the two main gluten proteins. Why is gluten bad for some people? Most people tolerate gluten just fine. However, it can cause problems for people with certain health conditions. This includes celiac disease, gluten sensitivity, wheat allergy and some other diseases. Celiac disease Celiac disease, also spelled as coeliac disease, is the most severe form of gluten intolerance. It affects about about 0.7-1% of the population. It is an autoimmune disorder, and involves the body treating gluten as a foreign invader. The immune system attacks the gluten, as well as the lining of the gut. This damages the gut wall, and may cause nutrient deficiencies, anemia, severe digestive issues and an increased risk of many diseases. The most common symptoms of celiac disease are digestive discomfort, tissue damage in the small intestines, bloating, diarrhea, constipation, headache, tiredness, skin rashes, depression, weight loss and foul-smelling feces. However, some people with celiac disease do not have digestive symptoms, but may have other symptoms like tiredness or anemia. For this reason, celiac disease can be very difficult to diagnose. In fact, up to 80% of people have celiac disease don't know that they have it. Bottom Line: Celiac disease is an autoimmune disorder that makes the body attack gluten in the digestive system. This can cause severe digestive disorders and other health problems. Non-celiac gluten sensitivity There are many people who do not test positive for celiac disease, but still react negatively to gluten. This condition is called non-celiac gluten sensitivity. It is currently not known how many people have this condition, but it has been estimated to be in the range of 0.5-13%. Symptoms of gluten sensitivity include diarrhea, stomach pain, tiredness, bloating and depression. There is no clear definition of non-celiac gluten sensitivity, but the diagnosis is made when a patient reacts negatively to gluten, but celiac disease and allergies have been ruled out. However, some experts believe this isn't a real condition. They think the adverse effects are imaginary or caused by substances other than gluten. One study looked at almost 400 people with self-diagnosed gluten intolerance, and investigated whether they improved on a gluten-free diet (20). The results showed that only 26 people had celiac disease, while 2 had a wheat allergy. Only 27 of the remaining 364 people were diagnosed as gluten sensitive. That means that of the 400 who thought they were gluten intolerant, only 55 people (14.5%) actually had an issue with gluten. Therefore, many people who think they're gluten intolerant actually have other causes for their symptoms. Bottom Line: Many people react negatively to gluten but do not have celiac disease. This condition, known as non-celiac gluten sensitivity, is controversial. Irritable bowel syndrome, wheat allergy and others Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a common digestive disorder that causes symptoms like abdominal pain, cramping, bloating, gas and diarrhea. It's a chronic condition, but many people are able to manage their symptoms with diet, lifestyle changes and stress management. Interestingly, studies have shown that some individuals with IBS may benefit from a gluten-free diet. For about 1% of the population, a wheat allergy may be causing digestive issues after consuming gluten. Furthermore, studies have shown that a gluten-free diet may benefit some individuals with schizophrenia, autism and a disease called gluten ataxia. Bottom Line: Gluten may be problematic for people with irritable bowel syndrome and wheat allergy. People with schizophrenia, autism and gluten ataxia may also benefit from a gluten-free diet. . . . Gluten Free Foods | Celiac Disease Diet | Gluten Sensitivity | Food Allergy
celiac disease is a long-term autoimmune disorder which affects functioning of small intestine. Symptoms of celiac disease most commonly include diarrhea, abdominal pain , gas, bloating etc. The only known effective treatment is a strict lifelong gluten-free diet, which leads to recovery of the intestinal mucosa, improves symptoms, and reduces risk of developing complications in most people. In this video we have shown foods that any patient suffering from celiac disease can undoubtedly include in daily diet. These foods are gluten free and will help maintain the levels of nutrients in the body without causing any harm. Foods that are made from wheat, rye and barley should be strictly avoided, also in many food products the gluten is available in hidden form, so always read the label of products very carefully.Any form of wheat such as durum, spelt, wheat bran etc needs to be strictly avoided. Oats is a confusing food which itself don not contain gluten but could get contaminated if it is produced in the same place as wheat, barley and rye. So be very careful while choosing for oats.

Gluten Allergy Symptoms
Website:- http://www.nutrition4kids.com/medical-condition/gluten-sensitivity Gluten Allergy Symptoms as it is commonly referred to, is the result of a weird kind of immune response of the body to gluten. It involves a reaction to gliadin, a protein found in wheat, rye, barley, and oats. There occurs an inflammation and destruction of the inner lining of the small intestine due to an allergic reaction to gluten present in the diet. This leads to an impaired absorption of minerals and nutrients. Although there is no cure for celiac disease, a gluten-free diet is the essential for its treatment. -- Created using PowToon -- Free sign up at http://www.powtoon.com/youtube/ -- Create animated videos and animated presentations for free.
