It is GOD's divine plan and providence that situations/events happened and all the best and worst of mankind's actions here on Earth wont change His grand plan for the whole universe. This song by Steve Green reminds us that the God who created the universe and everything in it (matter, dark matter and energy) is an omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient God and none could par. So we should reserve our praise only to God and no other deities at all. Pray and repent directly to God.

This massive scale of fossil fuel dependence pollutes the earth, and it won’t last forever. On the other hand, we have abundant sun, water and wind, which are all renewable energy sources. So why don’t we exchange our fossil fuel dependence for an existence based only on renewables? Federico Rosei and Renzo Rosei describe the challenges. Steve Wright - A State of Green Short
In this short clip from the forthcoming documentary film State of Green, former VT Fish & Wildlife Commissioner Steve Wright presents his own views on the current state of environmentalism in Vermont and the future of humanity's energy sources. **The views expressed in this video do not necessarily reflect the views of the filmmakers.** Music: "Divider" by Chris_Zabriskie http://www.stateofgreenmovie.com/supportus/ STATE OF GREEN is a documentary film examining renewable energy and its effects on the people of Vermont and the nation. The goals of this film are to explore the human story behind renewable development and to foster an intelligent, informed discussion. Our demand for energy is confronting us in our own back yard. Change is inevitable. With change comes sacrifice. Will the green energy movement strengthen our economy or compromise Vermont's unspoiled beauty? In an effort to transition away from fossil fuels, the Vermont state energy plan calls for 90% of the state's power needs to be met from renewable sources by the year 2050. GREEN MOUNTAIN POWER, Vermont's largest utility, is leading the way in renewable energy development and working to offer their customers affordable, sustainable power. Vermont purchases a significant amount of renewable energy from HYDRO QUEBEC. Many Cree people were displaced by the development of Hydro Quebec's St. James Bay project. How much of their culture and landscape was lost in an effort to produce power? Is their story a window into Vermont's future? OUR GOAL: BALANCE There are films out there about the evils of carbon fuels and the dread of impending climate change. There are films about the hidden truths of renewable energy projects and the downsides of industrial scale development. But where are the films that refuse to take a biased stance, and instead examine as many aspects of the issues as possible, with the intention of letting the audience make up their own mind based on what they see? That is the goal of our film. We have gone to great lengths to maintain neutrality on all issues, working with both sides of every problem we document and examining all possible details from as many angles as we can. We believe the truth will speak for itself; our job is to present the facts and realities as they stand and to let our viewers make their own conclusions. WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP So far, we have managed to collect a good amount of footage covering some of the important energy-related events happening in our region. We have been doing this on on our own dime, in our spare time. When we started, things were just getting going. Vermont Yankee had not yet run into serious troubles, Kingdom Community Wind was just an idea on paper and the renewable revolution was just beginning in our state. How quickly things change. Now, it is impossible to go a single day without hearing a new story about renewable energy in Vermont, whether its on the radio, television, Internet or in conversation with friends and neighbors. Vermont now finds itself on the front lines of the renewable energy revolution, and the battles are being fought hard every day. On our own, it's become impossible to keep up with this pace while still maintaining our day jobs. Funding will enable us to go further, spend more time, devote more resources and focus with greater intensity on the project. With full funding, we can travel to Quebec and speak with the displaced Cree, to learn from their experiences in connection with Hydro Quebec. We can fly over the ridgelines of Vermont to capture their beauty and show the changes happening to them. And we can put our film out there for the world to see. We believe that this project needs to be made. It has become bigger than us and we are sitting on footage that nobody else has. There are incredibly important stories occurring every day in Vermont, and they are stories that can teach us a great deal about ourselves, our future and our lives as human beings struggling to survive. Obama Plans to make Green Energy Affordable by Making Gasoline and Coal Unaffordable
Obama's plan from the beginning is to bankrupt the coal industry and tax oil companies to death, and when he talks about the affordability of "green energy", he means that it'll be affordable compared to the skyrocketing costs of oil. His energy secretary said, "Somehow, we have to figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the levels in Europe." OMG.

Renewable Energy
To start the New Year of 2018, 'Brethren Voices' features "Renewable Energy" as exemplified by the Beacon Heights Church of the Brethren of Ft Wayne, Indiana. Living nearby, the Amish have always been an example of people who have shown us how to save energy with their ways of simple living. We are now in a time when we are faced with saving energy as a way to keep the Earth from over heating. Slowing and then reversing climate change is a monumental challenge of our time. The Brethren related organization, New Community Project believes that the change is more likely to be a grass-roots effort, rather than coming from the political or corporate leaders. NCP feels that change will come from the people who care deeply about our planet, its people and the future. The Beacon Heights Church of the Brethren of Ft. Wayne, Indiana is showing us the way with their installation of 66 solar panels on their church roof. Also featured in this program is the family of Craig Smith & Carla Kilgore of the Beacon Heights congregation, also made the decision to be more energy efficient. They installed solar panels on their home. Both of these applications provide the community with their excess electricity. "Brethren Voices" meets with members of the Beacon Heights congregation to hear of the changes that they have made to use renewable energy as a part of their witness and outreach to the community. Other examples of solar energy included in this program is the Snyder's of Hanover. In 2011, this pretzel and snack food producer built a 26 acre solar field, the largest in Pennsylvania. It has over 15,000 solar panels generating enough energy to save approximately 30% of the energy costs in the factory and plant. -- Tags: Brethren, Brethren Voices, -- Published: Jan 18, 2018, ID: BV 18-01 Category: Education, 28:31 License: Standard You Tube - © -- View On YouTube https://youtu.be/QKC4k_3q38E -- More from - Brethren Voices - on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/BrethrenVoices/ -- Phone your local public access TV station and ask them to broadcast this film to your local community. CDC's 2010 Sustainability Forum: How to Plan a Green and Healthy Conference
You can minimize the impact of conferences through limited consumption of energy and resources. On October 14th, the CDC hosted its 2010 Sustainability forum on "How to Plan a Green and Healthy Conference". A panel of experts weighed in on how to choose healthy foods for conferences and how to incorporate exercise/ wellness into meeting agendas. By scheduling breaks for physical activity, providing healthy snacks, and locating meetings in central locations you promote a healthier, happier conference setting. A representative of a major hotel and conference chain provided information on green conference locations. Although hosting an entirely sustainable meeting may seem daunting, implementing just a few environmentally friendly practices can make a positive impact. The Christie Plan - Energy as Industry.wmv
Transcript of Gov. Christie's 2009 campaign message on renewable energy: There's no doubt that renewable energy is the future here in New Jersey and there is really no better time than for us the begin the discussion of not only how it will lead us to energy independence, but also how it will help create more good paying, middle class jobs for New Jerseyans. It's a change that President Obama stands firmly behind. I couldn't agree more. Most of the panels for solar energy and the turbines for wind energy are being manufactured in countries like Germany and Japan, Denmark and Spain. Not only are they way ahead of the U.S. in creating renewable energy -- they are way ahead us in creating the jobs that will go along with renewable energy. We've seen other states make real strides by not just talking about making renewable energy a key part of their state's energy plan and job growth plan but by actually doing something: in 2007 new tower, blade, turbine and assembly plants were announced for Arkansas, Colorado, Iowa, North Carolina, New York and Oklahoma which is expected to create 6,000 jobs. Here in New Jersey, unfortunately, we've had leadership that likes to talk a lot about renewable energy but hasn't done much of anything. That's why we are 43rd in the nation in the production of renewable energy. That is simply not good enough. It's not meeting the President's goals and it's not meeting the needs of New Jersey citizens. That's why I'm going to make renewable energy a key part of the Christie administration As Governor I'm going to make the manufacture of wind and solar energy a key industry here in New Jersey. We will grow manufacturing jobs in wind and solar energy not only to reduce our dependence on foreign oil, but also to make sure that we bring back to New Jersey the good, high-paying, manufacturing jobs we lost during the Corzine administration. As Governor, I will be New Jersey's number one clean energy advocate. I will personally go out and talk to each and every CEO of one of these renewable energy manufacturing companies to tell them why New Jersey is the place where they should come to do their business. We will establish a new program called Choose New Jersey Energy. This will be a campaign which will advertise New Jersey's skilled work force, its cutting edge technological base, its ports and its facilities. Next we will establish a program called Renew New Jersey. This will be a place where renewable energy will be encouraged to be manufactured and finally used. We will provide either a 100% tax credit or a 100% credit for insurance premiums to any manufacturer of wind turbines or solar panels who wants to locate here in New Jersey. This will take away the current disincentives that the Corzine administration has put into place with higher corporate business taxes which drive jobs from our state and prevent these manufacturers from coming to New Jersey and making it their home. That's why in the first four years of a Christie administration we are committed to a five to one ratio: five production jobs for every efficiency job in the renewable energy plan. These will be the type of high-paying, middle-class jobs that will sustain our citizens over the long haul. We will require that any landfill that is regulated by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection - whether it's an ongoing landfill or a closed one - make solar farms a new part of their landscape. We're going to encourage solar farms by making it a permitted land use all across New Jersey. Yet one of the things that really discourages the development of renewable energy businesses across New Jersey is the uncertainty of town to town decisions on the use of solar farms. So, a Christie administration will make sure that solar farms are a permitted use in each and every town. Lastly, we should make sure that the farmland that we have preserved across New Jersey -- farmland that we have paid for with your tax dollars -- is utilized not just for agriculture but also for growing and developing renewable energy. That's why in a Christie administration we would set aside 20% of all farmland that has been preserved through state funds for solar farms This way we can use another asset in thousands of acres across New Jersey while preserving their ability to be a farm and not, not ever be developed. We could also develop renewable energy on those same farms. Growing New Jersey's fruits and vegetables and growing solar energy -- they should work together and in a Christie administration they will.

Renewable Energy: Technology, Storage, and Challenges
In this video, you will learn about renewable energy and how countries are adapting to it. Jack W. Plunkett, CEO of Plunkett Research, Ltd., explains advancements with hydroelectric, solar, wind, and geothermal power. Learn more about the future plans for renewable energy around the globe! 00:00:12,700 - 00:00:17,040 one of the fastest growing industries in the world and in many ways one of the 00:00:17,040 - 00:00:21,630 most interesting. The most common in the oldest of course it is hydroelectric 00:00:21,630 - 00:00:23,070 power. 00:00:36,650 - 00:00:43,090 Big, new dams that are being constructed or underway in China or Brazil are so 00:00:43,090 - 00:00:47,310 large and have had to dislocate so many people to build them that they're 00:00:47,310 - 00:00:52,329 extremely controversial. We're not likely to see a lot of giant, new hydro 00:00:52,329 - 00:00:58,100 plants in the near future. However, there is some promise for localized, smaller 00:00:58,100 - 00:01:01,829 plants on smaller streams, privately owned that might do what we call 00:01:01,829 - 00:01:08,810 distributed power. That is power that's more local to the user. Now, moving on from hydro, 00:01:08,810 - 00:01:15,520 we've got wind. Wind power has developed very dramatically over the past twenty years. 00:01:48,159 - 00:01:53,289 The most important thing about solar, to begin with, is the efficiency rating. That 00:01:53,289 - 00:01:59,079 is how much available light does a solar cell turn into power? How much of 00:01:59,079 - 00:02:04,289 of available light is wasted? We've graduated in the past several years to where we 00:02:04,289 - 00:02:11,519 can pretty well get twenty percent efficiency out of light that hits solar cells. The Holy 00:02:11,519 - 00:02:17,360 Grail is to move out up to thirty percent and forty percent to greatly increase the amount of 00:02:17,360 - 00:02:23,079 electricity per unit of light it would generate. Lots of research and development going 00:02:23,079 - 00:02:28,220 on in the laboratories. Lots of exciting new ideas about this, including things based on nano- 00:02:28,220 - 00:02:33,879 technology, all types of new materials, all types of different ways to do it. The really good news 00:02:33,879 - 00:02:39,549 is that the efficiency has reached a point and the cost of manufacturing 00:02:39,549 - 00:02:45,239 because of advanced technologies and manufacturing scale has come down so 00:02:45,239 - 00:02:51,540 dramatically, that solar is now a reasonably cost effective means of 00:02:51,540 - 00:02:54,549 creating electricity. Now, there are problems. The 00:02:54,549 - 00:02:59,180 sun doesn't shine all the time. You can't use solar electricity at night unless 00:02:59,180 - 00:03:05,689 you've stored it somehow. If it's a cloudy day, solar efficiency goes down. Solar cells tend 00:03:05,689 - 00:03:09,959 to degrade in their output and efficiency over time as they've been 00:03:09,959 - 00:03:14,500 installed in place and solar, depending on the type, may require somewhere 00:03:14,500 - 00:03:20,230 between a little bit of maintenance, like regular cleaning, to a lot of maintenance. However, 00:03:20,230 - 00:03:25,799 local solar cells installed on small buildings and homes have been growing 00:03:25,799 - 00:03:32,359 at a really astonishing rate. Largely through reduced costs and through lots 00:03:32,359 - 00:03:36,900 and lots of government incentives to encourage people to to install the solar 00:03:36,900 - 00:03:42,780 cells. $637 Million Increase in Renewable Energy Funding
On June 19, 2007, Rep. Steve Israel (D-NY), a member of House Appropriations Subcommittee on Energy and Water, praised the inclusion of over $1.8 billion worth of funds for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Programs in the 2008 energy spending bill. "Securing a seat on the Appropriations Committee put me in a position to fix the damage that President Bush's budget would have inflicted upon renewable energy and efficiency programs," said Congressman Israel. "This bill is an important step toward ending the missteps, back-steps and half-steps that have characterized U.S. energy policy. As a matter of our own national security, it's time for a giant leap forward." The $1.8 billion included in the Fiscal Year 2008 Energy and Water Appropriations Bill passed today by the House represents an increase of over $637 million on advanced energy programs from the President's budget request.

Webinar: Challenges and Opportunities for Renewable energy in the Asia Pacific Region
There is worldwide interest in increasing the share of renewable energy in electricity generation and energy consumption for enhancing sustainability. With over 40% of the world population and more than 60% of global energy consumption, it is especially important for the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) economies to accelerate the deployment of renewable energy. Due to the diverse nature of economies in APEC, there are many challenges towards this goal. On the other hand, declining cost of renewable energy and related technological advances provide new opportunities, specifically for solar energy. The webinar will focus on recent advances in renewable energy and their potential for Asia-Pacific. It will include a summary of best practices, gaps, guidelines to accelerate growth of renewable energy, and recommendations for future activities identified in a workshop in Daegu, Korea in November 2015. Further, a pathway will be defined for APEC to achieve its goal of doubling the share of renewables by 2030 based on a high renewable scenario prepared by the Asia Pacific Energy Research Centre (APERC) for soon to be released 6th edition of the APEC Energy Demand and Supply Outlook of energy trends to 2040.
