Living with A Rare Blood Cancer, Polycythemia Vera

19:41
Every year, millions of patients, families and caregivers are impacted by cancer in the United States. Some cancers are well-known, but others are quite rare. Polycythemia Vera (PV) is part of a group of rare blood cancers called Myeloproliferative Neoplasms (MPNs). PV occurs when the body produces too many red blood cells, which causes the blood to thicken. Thickening blood could lead to clots, which can decrease blood flow through arteries and veins. This in turn could result in serious health complications including heart attack or stroke. Join us as we discuss the diagnosis and symptoms of PV with a hematologist, Dr. Shachar Peles and visit with a very special patient. Learn more about PV and MPNs at www.VoicesofMPN.com. VAI researchers zero in on rare cancer

02:40
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - An international team involving researchers from the Van Andel Institute has identified genes that may reveal the cause of and treatment for a rare but deadly form of cancer. The team did it by traveling to a part of the world where the cancer is 450 times more prevalent than in the United States. "It's a silent killer in our place," Sopit Wongkham said of bile duct cancer. Wongkham is an associate professor at Kohn Kaen University in Thailand. Bile duct cancer strikes 90 of every 100,000 people in northeast Thailand, compared to 0.2 per 100,000 in the U.S., Wongkham said Thursday. "Most of these patients die and there is no effective drug," said Dr. Bin Teh, a distinguished scientific investigator at Van Andel Institute.

Young teen dies from rare cancer after doctors dismiss concerns and ignore her - TomoNews

01:33
NOTTINGHAM, UNITED KINGDOM — Lorraine Doyne shares her daughter’s messages, status updates, and Tweets that she wrote days before her death. Bronte Doyne, a 19 year old girl, who died of a rare liver cancer back in March of 2013 had written dozens of desperate messages begging doctors to take her seriously. Diagnosed with fibrolamellar hepatocellular carcinoma (FBC) Bronte had a surgery to remove part of her liver in 2011. Doctors told her she’d survived cancer. Only, after a few months of recovery, Bronte began to suffer from cancer symptoms again. When doctors at Nottingham University Hospital NHS Trust refused to listen to Bronte and her mother’s concerns the two turned to the Internet. Because FBC is such a rare cancer there was little information available to the public, but there was a website for the Fibrolamellar Cancer Foundation that said suffers of FBC had a high risk of the cancer returning. The cancer foundation has been endorsed by the White House in publications, but Doynes’ concerns were still dismissed by doctors and one doctor told the mother and daughter to stop Googling rare cancers. Bronte’s mother said it was almost impossible to speak with her daughter’s GP or get referrals. Bronte was even told that her weight loss was due to the fact that she came from a “skinny family” and to stop worrying about it. Bronte was eventually referred and admitted to a Teenage Cancer Trust unit, where she died 10 days later. Bronte’s last message read: “I can’t begin to tell you how it feels to have to tell an oncologist they are wrong.” ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoWorld, where we animate the biggest headlines from around the world. Young Girl With Rare Form of Cancer in Need of Help

01:39
Only three years old and already she has been through so much. A young girl has a rare form of cancer. As you might expect, her treatments are expensive and now her family needs help. Back in July, Serena Ann Hope was diagnosed with stage five Retinoblatoma which is a rare childhood cancer of the eye that only affects about 350 kids a year in the United States. She has had her right eye removed and she started chemo on Tuesday and that is something she will have to do until she is five years old. It's a lot for a three year old to handle even though Serena's family says she is lively and is always in good spirits through all of her challenges. However, she needs the treatments to save her life. They're expensive and her insurance only covers the essentials and doesn't cover her prosthetic eye which can run upwards of $2,700 and will need to be replaced every six months. So friends are working together trying desperately to help this little girl's family. Serena's grandmother says, "We are staying positive. She can beat it, completely." If you would like to help out Serena's family, a fund has been set up in her name. Just go to any Wells Fargo Bank and ask for the Serena Ann Hope fund.

cancer statistics in united states

00:23
Cancer has a major impact on society in the United States and across the world. Cancer statistics describe what happens in large groups of people and provide a picture in time of the burden of cancer on society. Statistics tell us things such as how many people are diagnosed with and die from cancer each year, the number of people who are currently living after a cancer diagnosis, the average age at diagnosis, and the numbers of people who are still alive at a given time after diagnosis. The annual report provides a basis for individual states and researchers to describe the variability in cancer incidence and death rates across different populations and to focus on certain populations for evidence-based cancer control programs. They also tell us about differences among groups defined by age, sex, racial/ethnic group, geographic location, and other categories. source: United States Cancer Statistics Find This Video Helpful? Cancer - The Forbidden Cures

01:32:47
The Science Of Cannabis and Cancer in Rhyme http://poeticworldtruthsandcontemplations.wordpress.com/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Massimo_Mazzucco - Maker Please Purchase the Film and share with everyone - http://www.usfilms.ea29.com/ REVIEW BY DAVID BONELLO - INTERNATIONAL WELLNESS DIRECTORY /// Not what it seems. When I popped in the DVD, I went to the chapters to see what they were. I felt, no, not again...the same old stuff. What a pleasant surprise. I've researched and written about these "forbidden" cures for years. What a delight to actually see an interview with Rene Caisse. We even see a party thrown for Rene a year before she died filled with people whom she had helped with their cancers. Harry Hoxsey shows up, and you get to see scenes from a rare movie that Hoxsey himself made in 1957 called You Don't Have to Die. It is so rare, you can't even find a mention of it at the Internet Movie Database. I loved the research they did on this film. It must have taken years to compile all the archived photos, audio, and films. They even got Morris Fishbein on film. This is the creep who ran medicine for nearly 50 years. He destroyed many people, many companies, and the damage he did to the health care system of the time killed untold numbers of suffering humans. However, the Hoxsey affair was his downfall. He was forced to resign after libeling Hoxsey and eventually had to admit that Hoxsey was curing cancer. The section on Max Gerson was interesting, especially the deja vue section: they borrowed scenes from Dying to have Known. The scenes they used were the most powerful, the contraposed scenes of so-called medical experts proclaiming that no one has ever been cured of cancer at the Gerson clinic, juxtaposed with patients telling their story. Finally, you'll see some of the latest advances in alternative therapies, including a physician who is curing cancer with baking soda even after he's lost his license to practice medicine. For you history buffs, this is a must have. For you people looking for options outside of conventional medicine, this could save your life. It is very well done and well worth a watch. - David Bonello, International Wellness Directory Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for "fair use" for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research. Why is vitamin b17 illegal? does b17 really cure cancer? | By #Weight loss tips and tricks

Other health issues? click HERE: https://goo.gl/jH1hEf For more informations visit: http://hyperurl.co/WeightLossTips ********************************************************************Laetrile, or vitamin B17, has been a well-known natural cancer treatment for years. Dr. Antonio Jimenez discusses how this works in cancer cells and how it can not pose a danger to normal, healthy cells. Find out how laetrile kills cancer cells! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w8KPhT2xGL4 ******************************************************************** It has been becoming increasingly apparent in recent years that there are a number of alternative cancer treatment methods which have proven to either eradicate cancer cells on their own, or even assist with the more traditional methods of chemotherapy and radiation. Many of these alternative treatments do not get the recognition that they deserve from either mainstream media or mainstream medicine. In fact, in many states alternative cancer treatments have been banned or made illegal and, according to the law, one can even be forced to undergo chemotherapy against one’s will. It is important to note, however, that choosing one of these natural, alternative cancer treatments does require you to do a lot of research, because there is very little funding, or merit, allotted to their study. The cancer industry does not want to look at these alternative methods and spends very little of their funds informing people about preventative medicine. In fact, one particular vitamin that is believed to be extremely beneficial in fighting cancer cells has actually been banned by the FDA and is illegal for treatment in the United States, and that is Laetrile. Laetrile contains one of the greatest concentrations of vitamin B-17 on the planet, and it can be found in the often-overlooked seed of a popular fruit: the apricot. Apricot seeds can be found beneath the hard pit inside the apricot, and many people are unaware that they are both edible and delicious, and that they contain a cancer-fighting agent called amygdalin within. Amygdalin contains glucose, benzaldehyde, and cyanide, and it is the latter which is believed to be the active cancer-fighting ingredient of Laetrile. It is important to note, however, that cyanide is actually toxic to all cells, which makes the overall toxicity of Laetrile a concern. Yet studies suggest that Laetrile is more toxic to cancer cells than to normal cells. After all, your chances of getting cyanide poisoning from apple seeds or almonds are extremely slim, and we mustn’t forget that cancer is toxic to begin with. (And the last time I checked, so are chemotherapy and radiation.) You May Be Asking The Following Question Question: “If B17 is so powerful and helpful towards cancer elimination, then why is it not prescribed by modern physicians as a treatment?” Simple Answer: “A control for cancer is known, and it comes from nature, but it is not widely available to the public because it cannot be patented, and therefore is not commercially attractive to the pharmaceutical industry.” — G. Edward Griffin. Dr. Sugiura’s Research Dr. Kanematsu Suigura spent the majority of his career at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and has authored more than 250 papers; he has also received numerous awards, one of which included the highest honors from the Japan Medical Association for outstanding contributions in cancer research. He specifically studied Laetrile and discovered that it showed very positive results with preventing malignant lung tumors in laboratory mice. In control groups which received only plain saline, the lung tumors spread to between 80 and 90 percent of the mice, but in those given Laetrile, the tumors only spread to between 10 and 20 percent. Toni Braxton Singer and songwriter Toni Braxton has sold over 67 million records and lately has been into producing for TV and starring on TV (most notably in the 7th season of Dancing With The Stars). Like Selena Gomez, and millions of other people in the world, she also suffers from Lupus. She was diagnosed in 2010 after also having gone through breast health issues in 2008. On the subject of lupus, Braxton says that there are days when she just can’t balance. Braxton’s brother is also known to be a carrier of the disease. 6. Shannen Doherty One thing Shannen Doherty is known for is all that on-set drama she brings to the films and TV shows she’s hired for. Lately, however, the general public hasn’t heard much from Doherty. A lot fo that has to do with the different conditions she’s dealing with at the same time. From cancer to Crohn’s Disease, Doherty’s had to deal with a few medical challenges (though she was much less open about her Crohn’s Disease). 5. Elisabeth Hasselbeck Viewers of the talk show The View used to watch TV personality Elisabeth Hasselbeck co-host every morning along with a handful of other famous ladies at the table. In her case, Hasselbeck has Celiac’s disease, which prevents one’s body from absorbing food the right way, due to damages in the small intestine. This means things like barley, wheat, and rye, which contain gluten, can cause an overreaction in the body. 4. Lady Gaga Something that tends to affect women more than men medically is fibromyalgia--which Lady Gaga also was diagnosed with. Last year, Lady Gaga had to cancel her concert in Brazil because she could not deal with the extreme symptoms that come with this disease. Fibromyalgia tends to cause pain throughout ones body, adding to things like muscle stiffness and extreme fatigue. 3. Kenadie Jourdin Bromley She’s not a major celebrity, though she has made headlines. Actress Kenadie Jourdin Bromley, also just known as Kenadie Jourdin, was born in 2003, making her about 15 years old now. Although she is a teenager, she only measures up to the size of a toddler or small child. Hailed as the littlest girl in the world, Jourdin stands at around 40 inches tall, and was born with a condition called primordial dwarfism. In 2010, she starred in the movie Eep! And has even been featured in a handful of documentaries. 2. Andy Milonakis If you’re in your 20s or early 30s, you probably remember Andy Milonakis on TV a lot, particularly on MTV’s The Andy Milonakis Show wherein he would writer, rap, and act. He also had a recurring role as Roman Armon on Kroll Show, to add to his repertoire. Milonakis was not only famous for being funny, but for also having growth hormone deficiency, which is why he looks so much younger than he is. If you look at this photo of him, you wouldn’t have known he was in his mid 30s and is now 42 years old.

3 Signs You'll Get Breast Cancer - Dr. Russell Blaylock

45:21
The World Health Organization has just issued a warning that cancer cases will rise by 70% during the coming years. Over 2.8 million American women currently suffer from breast cancer. In the United States, breast cancer is the most common type of dangerous cancer found in women — and it kills more women than any form of cancer except lung cancer. During the 1970s, about nine out of every 100 women were expected to get breast cancer. Today, that percentage has increased by 45%. Russell Blaylock, M.D., a leading American holistic medical doctor, is so concerned by this explosion of breast cancer, he has created a free informational video presentation revealing the three signs you could develop breast cancer. In Dr. Blaylock’s special video report, you’ll be shocked to see how the cancer treatment industry has artificially “improved” cure rates for breast cancer by including in their statistics one type of cancer that rarely develops into a true cancer — a practice which leads to excessive, unnecessary, and expensive cancer treatment. When you view this video, you’ll discover: Three things you must avoid if you want to prevent the cell damage that leads to cancer . . . Why having mammograms actually increases your risk for breast cancer . . . This one food that makes cancer spread like wildfire, yet is often recommended by oncologists and cancer centers . . . The common link between cancer and other conditions such as heart disease, arthritis, obesity, and many other degenerative diseases . . . What you’re probably doing on a daily basis that could lead not only to breast cancer, but also to liver or kidney disease and even early death . . . Dr. Blaylock notes that most people’s bodies already contain precancerous cells, just waiting for the right conditions to activate them. Since avoiding these cancer-cell triggers is your best defense against cancer, this video reveals his top natural strategies to protect yourself from breast cancer activation. To take advantage of the special offer in this video presentation click on the link below and receive your free breast cancer prevention kit: https://w3.newsmax.com/Offers/Health/BWR/BWR-Breast-Cancer-Video-OP?dkt_nbr=wbcpmg9p
