The great porn experiment | Gary Wilson | TEDxGlasgow
NOTE FROM TED: This talk contains several assertions that are not supported by academically respected studies in medicine and psychology. While some viewers might find advice provided in this talk to be helpful, please do not look to this talk for medical advice. In response to Philip Zimbardo's "The Demise of Guys?" TED talk, Gary Wilson asks whether our brains evolved to handle the hyperstimulation of today's Internet enticements. He also discusses the disturbing symptoms showing up in some heavy Internet users, the surprising reversal of those symptoms, and the science behind these 21st century phenomena. More About Gary Wilson Gary is host of www.yourbrainonporn.com. The site arose in response to a growing demand for solid scientific information by heavy Internet erotica users experiencing perplexing, unexpected effects: escalation to more extreme material, concentration difficulties, sexual performance problems, radical changes in sexual tastes, social anxiety, irritability, inability to stop, and obsessive-compulsive symptoms. As a physiology teacher with a particular interest in the latest neuroscience discoveries, Gary was aware that their symptoms might be the result of addiction-related brain changes. Applying the website's concepts of brain plasticity, many former users have braved withdrawal, reversed their symptoms and restored normal sexual responsiveness. The site has been linked to from hundreds of threads in forums from over thirty countries, with posts numbering in the thousands. Gary blogs for "Psychology Today" and "The Good Men Project" on the extreme plasticity of adolescent brains, the evolutionary context for today's flood of novel cyber "mates," and the neurochemical reasons why superstimulating Internet delivery has unexpected effects on the brain. Many thanks to Pat Somers of Slow Moving Pictures for the skillful editing of this video. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. I lost 25 lbs in 4 weeks and was in full panic or near panic for 8 weeks straight mixed with the darkest most painful depression I cold have ever imagined. I immediately could not work and had to move in with my parents who, along with many siblings and friends, had to watch me 24/7 as I was a danger to myself. Eventually I was hospitalized in the Psych Ward for a week. Getting through each day seemed truly unbearable and I knew I would surely die. I have been put on many many different SSRI's SNRI's Tricyclics, Mood stabilizers, anti psychotics, holistic meds, acupuncture and even a form of shock therapy called RTMS. I barely saw any improvement in my condition for a full year. It was decided I had treatment resistant depression and I spent nearly every moment in tears. Weeks after starting my newest round of medications (Seroquel & Nortryptaline) as a last ditch effort, I had my blood drawn for possible hormone imbalances and my Testosterone levels came back 200 ng/Dl and 150 ng/Dl. The average 25 year old male has 750 ng/Dl. With this discovery I for the first time had any type of possible explanation as to why I was not getting better and why I might be so so sick. The symptoms of such Low T are very similar to those of major depression. I started Testosterone replacement therapy soon after and have been checking in with the world and documenting my experience with treatment as well as giving my insight and perspective on various topics of mental health. I am blessed to say that I have slowly, over the last 5 years, been improving and becoming more stable which I never thought to be possible. My low T manifested itself in the form of Major depression, anxiety, and depersonalization/ derealization for over a year. Treating my low testosterone has been 1 HUGE part of the puzzle but I have had to continue to work hard to hold on to my mental stability with many set backs. Gaining some mental stability back is nothing short of a miracle as I was near death for what felt like forever. I do not consider myself to be totally healed yet but I am closer now then ever before and aim to use what I have been through to help or at least offer support to others in need I was able to successfully come off my Seroquel and Pamelor. I work out all the time as a part of my mental health recovery!!! Weight training and all kinds of cardio rule much of my free time and I also share this on my channel.

💋Psychological Causes of Erectile Dysfunction
Proven formula for increasing testosterone and fixing erectile dysfunction: 👉👉 http://drsam.co/yt/Fix-ED Or watch this video about the natural alternative to Viagra: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=297yrrlyT4Q =============================================== 💋Psychological Causes of Erectile Dysfunction =============================================== “I’ve been having erectile problems for a few months now and I think it’s more in my MIND than my body. But I’m not sure because I just haven’t had much “drive” for anything lately, especially sex. Can you tell me more about the psychological causes of impotence and what I can do to fix this?” Your mind is your biggest “sexual organ” and this means that your mind DOES affect your sexual desires and performance. Psychological factors are responsible for about 15%-20% of all cases of erectile dysfunction (ED) Sometimes this is due to a secondary reaction to an underlying physical cause. In some cases, the psychological effects of ED may stem from childhood abuse or sexual trauma. 6 psychological causes of Erectile Dysfunction... STRESS Stress comes in many forms. Sometimes it’s job or money related. Sometimes it has to do with the current relationship(s) you’re in -- intimate or friendships. Constant worry, negative thoughts, lack of sleep and even physical stress all cause a change in your “brain chemistry” due to a change in your hormones by increasing your “stress” hormone, Cortisol. Remember, your mind and body are connected and they work WITH each other. So what happens in your mind, can manifest physically and in this case, cause Erectile Dysfunction.. ANXIETY Once a man experiences ED, he may become overly worried that the problem will happen again. This can lead to "performance anxiety," or a fear of sexual failure. Unfortunately, the more you think about it, the more anxious you become and the worst the situation is. Keep in mind that similar to “stress”, when you have anxiety your brain chemistry and hormones change, all of this reduces blood flow to your penis and thus, causing impotence. Drugs used to treat anxiety only make ED problems worse! GUILT Feeling guilty can also cause ED. A man may feel guilty that he is not satisfying his partner. Or he may feel guilty about something hurtful that he’s done. DEPRESSION A common cause of ED is depression because it affects a person both psychologically and physically. Depression can cause ED even when a man is completely comfortable in sexual situations. When you’re depressed, you don’t have the “drive”, both in and out of the bedroom. Similar to anti-anxiety drugs, anti-depressant medications only make ED problems worse. LOW SELF-ESTEEM This can be due to prior episodes of ED, thus a feeling of inadequacy. Or it can be the result of other issues unrelated to sexual performance. You may have low self-esteem because of how you look naked or how much money you make or the kind of job you have or other superficial factors. You may also have low self-esteem if you’re comparing yourself to your woman’s past -- previous boyfriends, sexual experiences, etc. Also, statics show that men who watch a lot of porn, tend to have low self-esteem due to the size of their penis -- “is mine big enough?...”, which causes even more mental stress and anxiety. INDIFFERENCE This may come as a result of age and a subsequent loss of interest in sex, stemming from problems in a couple's relationship. If there’s a lack of effort to be affectionate or sexual by both people in the relationship, psychologically you just stop caring, wanting or even thinking about “sex”. Summary As stated in the beginning of today’s video, your mind is your “biggest sexual organ”. We all have things that turn us on or off. Fetishes and so forth. If you’re not in a positive place psychologically, your body will react accordingly. Mental and emotional stress, worry, anxiety and depression AFFECT your body physically… There is a drop in your “sex drive” hormones. When your mind and body is under “stress” and excess worry, it has no need, want or desire to “procreate” and thus, your body shuts down your libido. Solution So, what’s the solution?... In life, you get what you focus on. So if you’re constantly thinking about what you do NOT have, your mind will be under stress, you’ll have anxiety, you’ll be depressed and have low self-esteem. Your mind can have only ONE feeling at a time... So instead of having “negative” feelings, try your best to have an “attitude of gratitude” Think of all the great things that you have to be grateful for in your life. ======================================== ======================================== Subscribe to Dr.Sam Robbins's official Youtube channel http://drsam.co/yt/subscribe Like us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/DrSamRobbins ========================================= Thanks DrSamRobbins

Porn Addiction Risk Of Mental Illness | Stop Porn Addiction
सावधान! अगर आपको है पोर्न देखने की लत तो हो सकती है ये गंभीर बीमारियां ऐसी आदत के कारण एड्स होने की भी आशंका है। You must have heard from the elderly that 'excessive things are bad.' In such a situation, it is worse if you get used to the wrong thing. By the way, most people have some kind of habit. But when it becomes addiction, it can not be known. This is such a habit to watch porn movies. First and foremost many people see it just for hobby. But seeing this, it becomes addiction. This thing again proves harmful to our health. The reason that this habit has a deep effect on our mind and body. We are not saying here that you should watch porn movies or not? But yes Its excess will damage you. Then what's the matter of late? Let's know the whole case. According to a research, the men who see a lot of porn, their brains are shrinking. Their sexual feelings also decreases. Especially the people whose brain straps are short, they see more harm than watching porn Researchers found that those who have bad sexual intimacy in porn have more properties such as depression, anger, irritability and stress. Those people can not control themselves and start teasing in small things. Looking at porn, they want to get to the same real life too and see what they see in porn. But seeing porn and actually doing that are two different things. That is why he does not get satisfaction and he feels unhappy with his partner. Oxytocin is a powerful 'love hormone' that works to bond both men and women in one bondage. But seeing more porn movies reduces the amount of oxytocin hormone, according to research done in the American Institute of Medical Science. Seeing porn or seeing nude photos calls for a serious illness like AIDS. They did such research on chimpanzees. Under this, chimpanzees were shown naked photos and porn videos for 8 consecutive days. After 7 days checked, 80% of chimpanzees were afflicted with AIDS. Kissing is an important part of sex, which couples have quite a lot to do with fun. It is a very good and close feeling, but it has been seen that people with porn addiction can not do 'foreplay' and 'kis' with good. Watching porn together can be a way of enjoying sex, but women believe The fact is that taking the support of porn film for sex orgasm, there is a bad effect on sexual arousal. Pouring stimulates the person while sex is a slow intimate for any person Mr. thing. In such a situation, instead of engaging in it, it starts thinking about sexual situations directly. Such behavior creates a sense of separation between partners. People who watch more porn become more and more close to the artificial world rather than real life. Because of this, they have difficulty connecting with people of real life. Neuroscientist believes that seeing too much porn affects the brain's development. This increases the risk of psychosis to a great extent. So , Friends Watch , like , share & SUBSCRIBE.. Funny News: Does porn cause mental illnesses? - (Boomgaard Tonight Ep. 25)
Experts say the country is facing a cellphone addiction crisis with almost half of all teens said to be suffering from nomophobia- the fear of being out of mobile contact. Meanwhile in utah the governor has declared porn a public health crisis contending that illicit vids consumption causes various mental illnesses. Back home the waitress that was racially abused by a rhodes must fall activist has won the hearts of the nation landing herself a 130k tip. All this and more on Boomgaard Tonight We start with a story related to cell phones. Experts in South Africa are saying that cellphone addiction is reaching epic proportions in the country. There is even a term for it, nomophobia, which is the fear of being out of contact. Cellphone addiction has been labelled an obsessive-compulsive disorder by experts, hitting largely young smartphone users, who depend on the gadget to fit in and remain socially active to stave off loneliness. The experts have declared it potentially one of the biggest non-drug addictions in the 21st century with 6 out of ten school children dependant on their cellphones. Personally I don’t know what the big deal is about cellphone addiction. I mean who would actually be addicted to their phone In the United States, the state of Utah has declared a public health crisis. Governor Gary Herbert signed a resolution which contends that it affects brain development and leads to medical illnesses. In other words it makes you sick. Yeah, so does that mean you can take a sick day off work if you were watching porn the night before? How would that work? Sorry I cant make it to work boss, rough night and I have the soggy tissue to prove it. And Cape Town waitress Ashleigh Schultz is still in the news, Schultz was reduced to tears by Rhodes Must Fall scholar Ntokozo Qwaba and friend when they dined at the establishment where she works. What these guys did basically was write on the bill in the tip section that they would tip her when she gives back the land. Qwaba later boasted about making Schultz cry on social media. The irony about Qwaba, the Rhodes Must Fall dude, is that he is a Rhodes scholar which means he receives money from the Rhodes estate to study at Oxford where he wants a statue of Rhodes removed. How full of crap is this guy? Schultz meanwhile received an outpouring of sympathy from the public many of whom went as far as to support a social media fundraising campaign to collect money for the waitress. The campaign has thus far reportedly raised R130 000. So now we know what’s the going rate for racism. **Disclaimer: The views expressed in this video are not necessarily the views of iTen (Pty) Ltd, its staff nor its representatives. What are the effects of porn on the brain
Dr Valerie Voon at Cambridge University send normal people and porn addicts into an MRI scanner to find out their brain activities while they watch pornography. For porn addicts, the ventral striatum, the reward centre shows an exaggerated response just like addicts responding to drugs or alcohol. Their brains are twice as active in their ventral striatum. The result shows that porn is additive.

ONE CURE: Depression, anxiety, health, security, addiction, Porn addiction etc..
The age old question; What is the meaning of life? Wealth? Education, security? Health? Today we briefly study the human condition.
Sex addiction classified as mental illness
Sex addiction has been recognized as a mental health disorder by the World Health Organization, which explains that the affliction isn’t simply about a person really liking sex. A person is addicted when they have a "persistent pattern of failure to control intense, repetitive sexual impulses or urges resulting in repetitive sexual behavior," according to WHO. The agency describes the condition as a “compulsive sexual behavior disorder,” and filed it under impulse control disorders in its latest edition of its Classification of Diseases. Sex becomes a "central focus" and those affected may not even derive pleasure from the act. The addiction can manifest through masturbation, sex with a partner, pornography or prostitution, and in order to be diagnosed, a person must be distressed as a result of this behavior for at least six months. Healing From Pornography Addiction | 3 Mormons
Pornography is all over the place. It plagues so many lives and is incredibly addictive. Justin says that pornography is evil and works in secrecy. It thrives in shame. Satan takes advantage of the powerful gifts that God has given us (the power of procreation) and tricks us into believing false things about those gifts. One of those trickeries is pornography. David says that we all know pornography isn’t of God. He said that we need to move past our focus on the fact that it’s bad but to focus on repentance and change. If you are addicted to pornography, DON’T give up on yourself. Do not feel like you are weak. Everyone on this earth is imperfect and it’s our great opportunity to repent and change. Repenting, as David said, is a battle. But God works miracles. What are your thoughts about overcoming pornography? Tennessee lawmaker says pornography is a 'root cause' of school shootings
Tennessee lawmaker says pornography is a 'root cause' of school shootings.Republican Rep. Diane Black of Tennessee recently cited pornography, along with the deterioration of the family and violent movies, as a contributing factor to gun violence in schools.Pornography. It's available. It's available on the shelf when you walk in the grocery store. Yeah, you have to reach up to get it, but there's pornography there," Black says in the audio. "All of this is available without parental guidance. And I think that's a big part of the root cause, that we see so many young people that have mental illness get caught in these places.

Ask Dr. Drew: What’s your view on porn?
On Wednesday night, a caller asked HLN’s Dr. Drew what his personal views were onpornography.“It's mixed, and I dare say I'm confused myself about it a little bit,” he said.He added, “Who knows what the positive impact has been. My negative concern has been it doesn't feel like, as a society, it's building us up. I worry about the people that are being exploited to develop these films … the ones who seem to be so happy about their careers, I have my doubts about it. I think that's a house of cards that will eventually fall.” For more informaton please visit http://www.hlntv.com/video/2012/06/27/dr-drews-view-porn

GOP lawmaker blames porn for school shootings
A GOP congresswoman from Tennessee who is running to be the state’s next governor blamed pornography — and the decline of the family support system — for school shootings, according to reports. “Pornography, it’s available, it’s available on the shelf when you walk in the grocery store,” Rep. Diane Black said during a listening session with ministers at Safe Harbor of Clarksville, Tenn., The Tennessean reported, citing audio obtained by HuffPost. “Yeah, you have to reach up to get it, but there’s pornography there. All of this is available without parental guidance,” she said. “And I think that is a big part of the root cause that we see so many young people that have mental illness get caught in these places.” Black made the porn comment as she pondered what drives some kids to violence. “What makes them do that? Because as a nurse, I go back to root causes,” Black offered. “I think it’s deterioration of the family,” she added, citing the expression “Idle hands are the devil’s workshop.” Black said that without a family support mechanism, teens turn to the internet, violent movies and porn — though she didn’t specify what it is about porn that she believes is leading to school massacres. Chris Hartline, a spokesman for Black, told CNN that the congresswoman “believes the breakdown of families and communities plays a significant role in instances of school violence.” Conservatives and gun control opponents have searched for explanations for school shootings that don’t place the blame on the availability of firearms. “In response to mass shootings, liberals have called for banning and confiscating all guns,” Black’s campaign website says. “We must recognize mental health issues are the cause of mass gun violence, not the guns themselves.” After the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School that killed 17 people in Parkland, Fla., the state’s House of Representatives OK’d a measure declaring porn a public health risk the same day the GOP-controlled chamber voted to reject gun control measures. Moms Demand Action founder Shannon Watts slammed Black’s statement, saying that “despite all of the data and experts at her disposal,” she “chooses to blame ‘grocery store pornography’ for school shootings. And she doesn’t mean the magazines that glorify guns.” There have been 23 shootings so far in 2018 on the campuses of K-12 schools or colleges, according to HuffPost.

Warning: Porn Causes Erectile Dysfunction
To learn more or download our free e-book visit: http://cvnteyes.co/2qf7DaQ What’s interesting, though, is that quitting porn and masturbation are helpful for these guys. Why? Because the problem isn’t in penis but in the brain. Now, I did a whole video about how porn impacts the brain, so I won’t repeat everything I said in that video, but we now know from neuroscientific studies that porn does impact the brain in a big way, which can lead to sexual health problems. One study from Cambridge University found that among guys who are porn addicted, “as a result of excessive use of sexually explicit materials [subjects] experienced diminished libido or erectile function.” Even among guys who aren’t verifiably addicted there are negative impacts. In an study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association Psychiatry, researchers actually measured how the amount of porn used correlated to changes in brain structures and how different regions of the brain responded to sexual images. Basically, they found that the more years of porn you watch and the more hours per week you watch, you have lower brain activation. Researchers said the more intense your porn exposure, the more your brain has a down regulation response: a.k.a. the more porn you watch the less sexual arousal you have. The good news is that a lot of guys are getting over their ED by quitting porn and masturbation. I had the pleasure of talking to the founder of the sub Reddit group NoFap a while back. His name is Alexander Rhodes, and he told me that he now has spoken to thousands of guys who simply believe they are better off without porn. They don’t want to train their brains to be turned on by only porn. He said, “I like to compare pornography to cigarettes. For the consumer, it is always a harmful thing to consume.”
