Medieval Bed in Box - Coverts from a Medieval Chest to Bed in 2 Minutes
Levi and Koreen show off their medieval inspired chest that folds out into a portable camp bed. This folding wooden bed is beautiful and functional. To replace the old rope bed, Koreen and Levi set out to build a panel construction chest with a slat bed inside. Everything you need for camping fits inside including the camping pads and blanket. The study handles and decorative hinges are from Lee Valley. This bed fits beautifully inside the 15th Century Bell Pavilion that Levi also made. Building a Folding Bed & Cabinet for a Mini Van | Izzy Swan
I made a folding bed and cabinet for my mothers camper van with minimal tools. Companies that support this channel - Make It Snappy Tools - https://bpway.com/ Arbor tech - https://www.arbortechtools.com/us/ Sawblade.com - https://www.sawblade.com/ I’m Izzy Swan — a maker, inventor, woodworker, furniture designer, and lover of hand drills. I’ve been making stuff for most of my life and I love to share what I create. In my shop you will find a table saw, bandsaw, chop box, drill press, a small lathe and for hand tools I have a few cordless drills, routers, jig saw and a few other thing but I do not get to crazy with over doing it. I want other do it your selfers to be able to build most the projects I make so I keep as humble as I can. Here, you’ll find my library of over 300 videos (and growing fast). I produce 2-3 videos every week covering shop tips and tricks, money-saving hacks, inventions, and woodworking projects. Some projects are simple, some are complex, and some are really weird - or just fun. Experimentation and playfulness are important, and woodworking should never feel like a chore. A lot of my projects are designed to make your workshop more efficient, so I have plans for a lot of woodworking jigs and shop-built tools. I’ve made a lot of drill-powered machines, from a bandsaw to a lathe to a fully automatic slingshot crossbow to a t-shirt folder. My creations run the gamut from practical must-have shop tools to ridiculously fun family projects and everything in between. I have woodworking plans available for many projects. Some are even available for free (others cost a few bucks). -~-~~-~~~-~~-~- Please watch: "Extreme woodworking with limited tools | Izzy Swan" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eppMoEtGQPs -~-~~-~~~-~~-~-

31 Designing and Building Camping Cot Leg Extenders
Today we build some oak leg extensions for a standard camping cot, either "Coleman" or "Timberline," (Wally-World products). One problem with camping cots is that they are too low, running about 12 inches high. This is perfect if you are young and spry, but not so perfect if you are geezed-out like my buddy. Therefore, as an altogether altruistic and humanitarian gesture, today I build some cot leg extenders for my buddy's camping cot.

UTV Camping with the KAMP-RITE Tent Cot
UTV Camping with the KAMP-RITE Tent Cot After many years of considering the options for my camping trips to the backcountry in Canada with my UTV, I think I may have the answer. It’s a combination of a tent and a hammock (in my mind) with the best of both worlds. It keeps you up off the ground like a hammock but is stable and roomy like a tent. The only obvious downside is the weight and size. This is no problem if your car camping or like me, have a UTV / Side x Side to haul it around with. The build quality is good with fully taped seams and chunky zippers. Esme and I easily slept in the cot in comfort, especially with my new Therm-a-Rest Basecamp XL mat, which fit perfectly! I topped that off with my Canadian Forces down sleeping bag and I was very comfortable even though the temperature dropped to below freezing. I think this is a great piece of gear for the right purpose and I’m very glad I bought it. I will be reviewing the tent cot again in a few years to let you know how the wear and tear aspect of the unit goes. https://www.thermarest.com/catalog/product/view/id/16604/s/basecamp/category/13/ https://kamprite.com/shop/tents/tri-fold-series/kamp-rite-oversize-tent-cot/ If you like to contribute to the channel my Patreon account can be found here:- https://www.patreon.com/theemporium

How to Build a Bed Frame from PVC Pipe
Get written instruction here... http://frugalhomediy.blogspot.com/p/how-to-build-bed-frame-from-pvc-pipe.html These are step by step instructions on how to build a bed frame from PVC pipe. This bed is great for kids or adults who are looking for something unique. Construction of this bed frame takes only 2 hours and requires very few tools. Benefits of this bed frame are that it’s… 1) Cheap to make 2) Very durable 3) Has no sharp edges (kid safe) 4) Can be easily dressed up This is a great and inexpensive solution if you have an extra bedroom to furnish, are looking for a new children’s bed, or are looking for something unique. Also, this bed can be easily personalized with stickers and paint to add to its uniqueness. Furthermore, if you make this for your child he/she won’t quickly outgrow it like he/she would a typical children’s bed. This frame will last into his/her late teens and maybe even early twenties. I used my PVC pipe bed from the age of 5 until I was 23. While growing up, I regularly had friends comment on how much they liked my bed. If you like these instructions please subscribe and give me a like.

How to Build a Hinged Sofa Bed for your Camper Van
I have had a lot of requests for this video so hopefully it helps out. Be sure to ***SUBSCRIBE*** to see our new videos!! I am also currently working on a website which would include all my build plans so that they are easier to understand. Video of installing the floor: https://youtu.be/bs04PXap6mE Video of completed van: https://youtu.be/OtrUhQ-nDQU If you have any questions feel free to comment and I will do my best to answer any and all of them. Been using this sofa bed for over a year now and it has worked all right. Obviously it isn't perfect so take some of my ideas, mix it with yours and make the ultimate sofa bed for your van. One of my goals for this van was to have zero waisted space. By putting the sofa bed on hinges I am able to achieve this. I really like how long the storage is, it allows me to store things like my kayak paddles and snowboard.

It's a Chair, a Bed and a Table!
Chair Also Turns Into a Table or Bed - as part of the news series by GeoBeats. Is it a chair, a bed or a table? Mexico based design group estudio408 has come up with the M Chair, a very innovative piece of furniture that can be used as a bed, chair, or a table. Made out of waterproofed tropical wood, it is versatile and a great space saver. With a few adjustments, you can change its shape. You can also play around with its modular pieces to create your own shape. And it'll certainly be a great conversational topic. What do you think about the M Chair? Can you see yourself using it?

We chose to build a straightforward platform, even though we knew it would take up more space in the van interior, because we wanted lots of storage underneath, and because we wanted it to be comfortable (no bars or sectioned cushions). Folding Truck Bed (for camping)
Wanted to make a folding bed that attached to the side bed rails of a truck. It folds up to the side allowing full use of the truck bed for storage when not in use. Tried to keep it as simple as possible, just using angle iron for the most part. I welded it, but you could probably get away with all bolted connections as well. For the mattress you could fit any type of pads or cushions.

I'm very fortunate to have access to a wood working shop with a lot of higher end tools and a Girlfriend who's willing to help me out as that definitely makes the job easier, faster, and more fun. At this point all of the framework is finished and all that needs to be done are a few finishing touches to the bed of the truck and the canopy itself. The rest will be shown in detail in part two of this series coming out whenever I get around to posting it. ▼ AMAZON STOREFRONT ▼ https://www.amazon.com/shop/xazazelx13 ▼ GEAR UP TODAY! Building an Off Grid Cabin in the Forest using Free Pallet Wood - A Wilderness Project
This is the first video in a series with my Dad where we are building an off-grid one man wood cabin from reclaimed Pallet Wood that we scavenged for free. In the first episode, we show you the site that we have chosen in the woods and the type of land that we are building the cabin on. The first stage of the primitive cabin build was to collect the pallets and break them down to gain useable pieces of timber. We have no saw mill, so we need to do this stage ourselves. We then began to put together the foundations for the cabin and create a wood base for the cabin to stand on. This cabin is located at one of our Bushcraft Camp sites. So after a hard days work we got the fire going and cooked up some food on the cast iron grill. I hope you guys enjoy this cabin build series. It gives me a great chance to spend time with my Dad on this wilderness project together. Hope you enjoy coming along on the adventure! $150 bike camper: DIY micro mobile home (downloadable plans)
Paul Elkins fell for micro-camping in 2002 when he toured the country in his cabover “stealth camper”. Sure he could make something more affordable, this year he began building a nomadic micro-shelter based on the Airstream design. [Downloadable plans: http://www.elkinsdiy.com/plans/ ] Using 4 recycled fluted-plastic campaign signs from a recent election, a $20 secondhand bike, 6 pine boards ($1 at Home Depot), screws, Duct tape and zip ties, he built his latest micro mobile shelter for only $150. Calling it a “micro Airstream bike camper”, it’s a 60-pound “home away from home”, complete with butane stove, bread-pan sink, counter, food storage shelving, clothes-storage bins, LED lighting, bed, windows, pee jug, bubble insulation, stereo with MP3 player, and a skylight made out of a 1 gallon plastic tub. DIY Jeep Drawer System for Overland, Camping, and Off Roading
I've spent many hours researching drawer systems but there wasn't anything in the market that fit my exact needs. I decided to just build one instead. This was my first time using a table saw! Luckily the drawers ended up looking decent and I still have all 10 fingers in tact. See pictures of the build on Instagram @OverlandLife https://www.instagram.com/overlandlife/ Thanks for watching and please subscribe. HOW TO BUY: This system is not for sale and I don't plan to build more to sell. However...if you want a superior design and much better build quality, my buddy Al Smith has a very similar drawer system available for purchase. In fact, his system was what inspired my build. If you're looking to pick up an awesome jeep kitchen and drawer system, please visit: http://www.jeepkitchen.com. PVC Truck Tent
Please visit my amazon store for your survival needs, Thank You http://astore.amazon.com/karenchakey-20 I made a truck tent out of PVC pipe and a tarp!. Works great but I think for fall weather I might want a heavy duty tarp, for summer a bug net would be be great as long as no rain. I have a short bed truck but the queen size blow up mattress fits just right, The pipe and elbows were around $25.00, I used a 10x12 cheap tarp around $10.00, the blow up queen size mattress is $19.99. All in all I will use this system again, but i do want to test it in the rain. Dinner we test out frozen doe ball type biscuits, wrap them around a stick and bake them.....yummy! Sorry we didn't get to our water project! The Bed Box - A Toyota 4Runner Sleeping Platform/Storage Build
I built a sleeping platform over the holidays and I've been using it regularly for weekend photography adventures. I pack my gear on one side, sleep on the other after I get to a good spot for a nap. If you'd like to follow my photography: http://www.instagram.com/sky_folk Hit subscribe here for behind the adventures, the adventures, the films and the occasional photography/timelapse-related tutorial. Sleeping platform/box specifics: -The box/platform is meant to transform to allow the usage of the back seats when need arises. -I'm 250lbs so it needed to be really solidly built -The head extender takes the platform's sleep-able length from 5'8" to 6'5" - I am 6'1" -I used heavy-duty turnbuckles to fasten the box down to the frame of the 4runner (thank you Toyota for providing the rings in your rigs!!) -I elected to allow for room on the sides so that I could easily access power adapters, etc Nerd tips always welcome! - ETH (Ether) can be sent to: 0x1b5f5E720517Bf6524AF68B31A55be2c353F150e BTC (Bitcoin) can be sent to: 1Kj2rRujHoeubSU8ww31voLVVA9BSfizdg

A Cot for Backpacking? - Go-Kot Camping Cot Review
This channel is Agenda Free and is fully supported by the viewers. Support TOGR with Patreon : https://www.patreon.com/TOGR Today Luke is reviewing the Go-Kot Camping Cot which was most recently seen in the Military Surplus Overnight Adventure. Link : https://youtu.be/V9sx2_WfnRY … Link : https://store.campingcot.com Price : Reg. $150 EL. $180 Sizes : 2 sizes; Regular 74” long / Extra long 84” Colors : Peacock Blue, Coyote Brown, Gray, Navy Blue, Red, Green, Black and more. Assembled: 26"W x 74"L x 8"H Carrying Bag: 8"W x 28"L x 3"H (Included) Weight: 9 lbs. Made in the USA Capacity: 350 lbs. Review : Pros : Truly excellent design. Lightweight compared to many outdoor cots. Small form factor. Can be carried for backpacking purposes Excellent materials. Good length and width Very stable Easy to put together. Easy to take down. Provides lots of support for those which back, hips and knee issues. Recognizable brand as they have been around since the 70’s. Floor guards are included. For this type of money they should be included and I am glad that they are. They are meant to protect hardwood floors and tent floors. Cons : Even though there are more expensive cots out on the market this one isn’t cheap but it is made with top notch materials and it is made in the USA. Even though it is lighter than a lot of cots, it is still heavy at almost 10lbs. When getting the details ready to film this video I saw a review on Amazon that stated that it’s so light that it; “it doesn’t add hardly any weight to our backpacks!” That’s complete rubbish as you WILL notice 10lbs of weight in your pack but; for that ten pounds you are getting a very comfortable cot to sleep on. The cordura material is rough to sleep on; not a problem if you are inside of a sleeping bag but not the most comfortable if you have just a blanket. Summary : I didn’t think I would like the Go-Kot as much as I have and that’s based on my previous experiences with other cot products.. I have military cots, cots from other companies and in most cases they aren’t products that I would really recommend for numerous reason but the Go-Kot is different. It’s a very smart product which features a truly ingenious design which I haven’t seen before. While it isn’t the cheapest cot, it is by far not the most expensive. Cots can be expensive with prices going up into the $300 range when it comes to backpacking models. This cot is very easy to put together and easy to take down; can be done in a minute. This is important because some cots can be hard as FUNK to put together…I have some which literally require two people. The Go-Kot isn’t the lightest but when you factor in a balance of weight, price, ease of use and durability, it hits all of the important marks for a great cot. ...
