Cancer Survivor Story - Dr. Barbara Royal - Malignant Melanoma

06:36
Barbara’s cancer survivor story began in 2001 when she was diagnosed with malignant melanoma. Like most people, she was shocked by this diagnoses especially because she was so active. She was an avid sailor, she was told that her constant exposure to the sun was the cause. It also didn’t help that her family has a history of melanoma skin cancer. Originally, she was misdiagnosed by two previous dermatologists who then performed a malignant melanoma removal but she knew something wasn’t right with the little spot on her arm. When it grew back after the surgery, she was told that there was really no good treatments that would help her. Being a veterinarian that treats her own patients using holistic methods, she figured that she would try the same techniques on herself. She was told by her doctors to come in for a checkup every three months when they wanted to continuously have a melanoma biopsy to which she refused. And after using her natural malignant melanoma cures she used on the animals she treated, the doctors began to see a huge difference. She wasn’t having any recurrences and as of 2017, she she’s still cancer free. Check out Barbara’s cancer survivor story and others when you subscribe to our YouTube channel. Melanoma primarily happens in Caucasians yet it's important to remember that Indians, African-Americans, Asians can also get melanoma. Melanoma can happen on sun-exposed areas, but it can also happen on the rest of the body. Melanoma can happen in your nails. Melanoma can happen on your palms and soles. If you have a history of melanoma or if you have a family history of melanoma, it is very important to see a dermatologist regularly, for a full body check. Not only sun-exposed areas and existing moles, but normal looking skin should also be examined for early signs of melanoma. Most melanomas arise just de novo. This means it's not because of a changing mole, but's it's because of a newly appearing mole. So if you have a new appearing mole that does not look like the rest of the moles you have, it is very important to see a dermatologist for a skin biopsy.

Watch more How to Prevent Skin Cancer videos: http://www.howcast.com/videos/507175-What-Does-Melanoma-Look-Like-Skin-Cancer Recognizing melanoma is one of the most difficult things a dermatologist needs to do. ABCDE are a quick way to remember how to look for a melanoma. A, stands for asymmetry. Most small moles are symmetric and round. Most melanomas are not. So if you notice a mole that has an irregular pattern at the edge that is not symmetric, that is a suspicious case for melanoma. B is for borders. Most nevi have very sharp borders, unlike melanoma where the pigments, the color bleeds into the normal tissue. That is also a concerning sign for a melanoma. C stands for color. Multiple colors including shades of brown, black, white, red and blue are suspicious for a melanoma. D stands for diameter. Any mole larger than six millimeters that is new, needs to be evaluated by a dermatologist to rule out a melanoma, and E stands for evolving. Any changing moles or new moles should be examined by a dermatologist.

I usuually post wildlife videos, but I was recently diagnosed with Melanoma skin cancer stage one. I wanted to document the stages of the disease and treatment and hopefully the revocery. This was on the back of my arm. I hope this might help educate people about the disease and get to understand you must use sunscreen when out in the sun. I will continue to post my wildlife videos, but I thought this was important to get the message out about the horrible disease. Mine was caught early and I only have an ugly scar, others were not so lucky and lost their life.

Melanoma – Common Signs, Melanoma Symptoms and Types of this Natural Skin Cancer Disease

05:25
A melanoma is a skin cancer disease. Types, melanoma symptoms, and signs are related. A melanoma can in any region of the epidermis or from an existent mole. #Melanoma continues to be a type of cancer, and just as with other cancers, they're more easily treated if detected early. To know more detail subscribe this channel: https://goo.gl/gQL0cj If you or somebody you know has metastatic melanoma, talk with your doctor about registering for a study. This video talks about melanoma, skin cancer, malignant melanoma, melanoma symptoms, and skin cancer symptoms. What is Melanoma? Some rare forms of melanoma exist. It is a type of skin cancer. A Melanoma can be malignant, meaning they will keep growing in a random fashion at an uncontrolled pace. Many times, early melanoma appears rather enjoy a blot with an odd form. Hidden melanomas can happen in difficult to detect regions of the human body, thus the need to do a comprehensive check annually. Melanoma is the uncontrolled development of melanocytes. It is one of the three skin cancer types. It is the most severe form of skin cancer. Along with breast and thyroid cancer, it is one of the most common cancers in young women. It is considered the most lethal form of skin cancer. Despite the common misconception, it can start in the eyes. Even though it is considered the most serious and deadliest form of skin cancer, there is always hope that, in the end, even aggressive cancers can be defeated. Melanoma as a Skin Cancer: Melanoma is basically skin cancer. It is a very hot topic and well covered in most magazines at one time or another. This kind of melanoma is known as metastatic melanoma. Malignant melanoma occurs more frequently in females. Heredity also has a part to play in this sort of melanoma. It is the primary cause of melanoma. Skin mutations that cause melanoma may be chromosomal symptom dependent on the genetic patterns of a person. Other prognostic factors like age, sex, tumor website, thickness, and ulceration have a tiny influence on the survival prices. There are specific elements that raise the chance of growing melanoma. If it's not, then this may be a symptom of possible skin cancer or melanoma. Generally, in case you have a skin anomaly which might be skin cancer, your physician will carry out a biopsy. Roadway for Melanoma: There are many sites devoted to melanoma self-exam. There are just a few historical accounts of melanoma. This sort of melanoma treatment can persist several sessions. In the U.S., the reported quantity of melanoma cases is growing alarmingly. Now, the issue with a lot of cancers is identifying the precise cause, which makes it kind of difficult to produce an all-inclusive cure and, like a consequence, these sorts of cancers wind up being merely treated to stem the abnormal cellular growth and do away with the cancerous tissues. You must choose a biopsy to learn the sort of toenail melanoma you've got. Lesions with greater thickness indicate an inadequate prognosis as it is generally the consequence of tumors growing rapidly and metastasizing. Basal cell carcinoma is easily the most frequent type of skin cancer. Metastasis is observed just in one-fifth of the scenarios, wherein the condition was diagnosed at a young stage. There are various tumors that are, in addition, a component of their active research but they are still striving hard since there is quite a distance to go. 4 Early signs of skin cancer which is ignored by women! - early signs of cancer

4 Early signs of skin cancer which is ignored by women! - early signs of cancer To catch skin cancer early, it is vital to pay attention to any changes in your moles or freckles or the appearance of new ones. Today's video will discuss Signs of Skin Cancer. When it comes to protecting their skin from sun damage and skin cancer, many people don’t take the necessary precautions. Among the things you should be most careful about to avoid skin cancer, the most important is watching your exposure to ultraviolet (UV) rays. These rays can do significant damage to your skin, much more than just wrinkles and age spots. Today, we’d like to tell you a little more about this disease and how you can help prevent it. Kinds of skin cancer, Before talking about signs of skin cancer that you shouldn’t ignore, you should know that there are two types of skin cancer: melanoma and non-melanoma. Melanoma is the most aggressive skin cancer, but is also the rarest. The risk is that it tends to start in the deepest layers of your skin. When this type of cancer appears, it can spread to other areas or organs. As for non-melanoma skin cancers, they produce changes at the cell level and are the most common and least aggressive. These often appear in the middle and top layers of skin, making them rather easy to spot. Signs of melanoma, We all have freckles and moles, so you needn’t worry about them. Freckles and moles are considered benign skin lesions formed by cells that synthesize skin color. However, if you notice that you’re suddenly getting a lot of moles or freckles or that the ones that you’ve always had have begun to change, it’s a good idea to see a dermatologist. 1) A for Asymmetry, It can be somewhat hard to see if a mole is asymmetric, but you can try dividing it with a piece of tape. When you’ve divided it into two, compare the sides. If they’re not equal, it could be a sign of skin cancer. 2) B for Borders (Irregular Borders), A normal mole or freckle has smooth, regular edges. If they’re irregular, jagged, or blurry, you should look for the other signs. It’s very important not to ignore this sign. 3) C for Color, Moles and freckles come in many colors: red, white, brown, and black. If you’ve had it since birth, the color doesn’t matter much. But if part of it or all of it changes color, that’s not normal; you should have your doctor look at it. 4) D for Diameter, If your mole or freckle is more than 1/4 inch across, it’s a good idea to have a dermatologist take a closer look. ---------------------------------------- People who watched this video: https://youtu.be/1FiyPWScHow Also searched online for: ► How To Lose Belly Fat For Women In 3 Days | How To Lose Belly Fat Easily | Get Flat Belly In 3 Days https://youtu.be/fd3TD719sdE ► Acne Scar Treatment Tea Tree Oil | What Is The Best Acne Scar Treatment At Home https://youtu.be/BQI1VeS92yo ► How I Grow 2 Inches Hair In 2 Days | How To Use Aloe Vera Gel For Hair Growth | Aloe Vera For Hair https://youtu.be/F1aHy8aV9T8 ► How To Remove Pimples Overnight | Pimple Treatment For Oily Skin | Acne Treatment https://youtu.be/UqtGTYyPVHo ------------------------------------------- FOR MORE DETAILS: ------------------------------------------- CONNECT WITH US: ► Like us at Facebook https://www.facebook.com/remediesone ► Tweet us at Twitter https://twitter.com/remediesone ► Circle us at G+ https://plus.google.com/u/0/b/115462721207283810926/115462721207283810926 ► Subscribe us at Youtube https://www.youtube.com/RemediesOne?sub_confirmation=1 ► Read Blog at Blogspot http://remediesone.blogspot.com/ ------------------------------------------ Don't forget to check out our YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/RemediesOne and click the link below to subscribe to our channel and get informed when we add new content: https://www.youtube.com/RemediesOne?sub_confirmation=1 -------------------------------------------- 4 Early signs of skin cancer which is ignored by women! - early signs of cancer Disclaimer: The supplies and the data contained on Remedies One channel are provided for primary and educational capabilities solely and do not signify any licensed, medical or totally different expert advice on any topic materials.

Lung Cancer Treatment Works On Non-Sun Melanoma

00:40
All melanomas are not alike. A new study, though, has revealed how much different non-sun-related melanomas are from sun-related melanomas. Melanoma is the deadliest form of skin cancer. It is most commonly related to sun exposure. But the cancer can also be genetic in nature and not related to the sun. These types of melanomas are not susceptible to the same treatments as sun-related melanomas. In the study, researchers treated the sample with crizotinib and ceritinib. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration-approved treatments for ALK-positive lung cancer. Researches found that the tumor shrank dramatically. https://www.upi.com/Health_News/2017/10/23/Researchers-find-lung-cancer-driver-in-non-sun-melanoma/4601508787049/ http://www.wochit.com This video was produced by YT Wochit News using http://wochit.com

Cancer Survivor Story - Angela & Gerald Mitchell - Brain Cancer & Melanoma

07:18
This is Geralds and Angelas story, as how they fought cancer together, and stayed strong while battling brain cancer and melanoma. Gerald Mitchell was diagnosed with Stage 4 astrocytoma (brain cancer) in May 2014, and was given 12-18 months to "get his affairs in order" after having the tumor removed. Surprised at the finality of this statement, he knew he had to do something. Twenty years prior, his wife Angela had been diagnosed with melanoma and had experienced healing through a holistic program. Gerald & Angela began researching alternative methods even though the hospital told him that chemotherapy and radiation were his only options. The hospital staff even seemed upset when Gerald rejected their options. After a 9-month body cleanse including a vegetarian diet and little to no sugar, he lost 50 pounds and felt the best he'd ever felt. He was even out golfing and playing hockey regularly! They found naturopaths to do vitamin C infusions and guide them on other holistic protocols including taking a number of supplements. Gerald continues with the protocol to this day and says, "Things are working out so far!" Gerald and Angela both strongly recommend that you "go with your gut" when it comes to determining the right solution for you. They committed to doing the research and seeking out alternatives they felt good about. Listen to their story in the video above for more on both of their cancer journeys and the outcome of their decision to choose a natural option. Introduction to Skin Cancer #4: The ABCDEs of Melanoma

13:35
Video #4 of 4 These introductory skin cancer video modules engages novice health care professionals to make histological-clinical correlations for the three most common skin cancers: basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and melanoma. The goal of this video module is to engage novice health care professionals to go beyond the all-too-common phenomenon of memorizing gross and histological features of skin cancers without reference to the relationship between these features. By explicitly highlighting underlying histological-clinical correlations for BCC, SCC, and melanoma, this video module helps learners build a deeper and lasting knowledge of these common diseases. This module was successfully incorporated into the first-year flipped classroom curriculum for medical and dental students at Harvard Medical School. Written comments from students revealed that they enjoyed watching short concept videos to prepare for in-class, case-based discussions of BCC, SCC, and melanoma. By illustrating histological-clinical correlations and reducing cognitive load of the material through use of cartoons and prototypical clinical images, this video module is an accessible initial resource for an emerging generation of millennial health care professionals to learn about common skin cancers. Please find supplemental materials here: https://goo.gl/EN1L6V Educational Objectives By the end of this module, learners will be able to: 1. Describe how squamous cell carcinoma, basal cell carcinoma, and melanoma are classified. 2. Understand the relationship between hallmark histological and clinical features for SCC, BCC, and melanoma. 3. Describe key histological differences between nevi and melanoma. 4. Identify clinical ABCDE: asymmetry, border irregularity, color variation, diameter greater than 6 mm, and evolution features of dysplastic nevi and melanoma that make them distinct from benign nevi. 5. Describe the four main subtypes of melanoma: superficial, nodular, lentigo maligna, and acral. 6. Describe the three main subtypes of benign nevi: junctional, compound, and dermal.
