FDA Warns Statins Increase Blood Sugar and Cause Memory Problems

04:44
The FDA has officially linked all statins with cognitive problems like forgetfullness and confusion as well as with a 25% increased risk for an elevated blood sugar level and possible association with type 2 diabetes. Statins are the best selling drugs on the market and are used by 21 million people in the US each year. Of course, there are all the other side effects as well that include liver disease, peripheral neuropathy, myopathy, muscle pain, kidney failure and erectile dysfunction and gynecomastia. New information shows statins can cause mitochondrial dysfunction that leads to a defect in energy production and decreased oxygen utilization. In addition we know that absorption of coenzyme Q10 is is blocked by these CoA reductase inhibitors as well and that this can lead to a cardiomyopathy and congestive heart failure. We need cholesterol for a number of functions that include production of vitamin D, many hormones, neurotransmitters, and cell membranes. For more information please visit www.doctorsaputo.com

Abilify Medication Alternative 1-888-566-8774

00:58
Looking for an Abilify medication alternative? https://ktcpartnership.com/ ABILIFY is an atypical antipsychotic indicated for use as an add-on treatment to an antidepressant for adults with Major Depressive Disorder who have had an inadequate response to antidepressant therapy. In the last decade, KETAMINE has also been used to treat patients with treatment resistant depression with a greater than 70% success rate within hours to days (not weeks to months like most oral medications/pills). Most common side effects from ABILIFY include: • Nausea, vomiting, constipation, headache, dizziness, an inner sense of restlessness or need to move (akathisia), anxiety, insomnia, and restlessness, sleepiness, extrapyramidal disorder (for example, uncontrolled movement disorders or muscle disturbances such as restlessness, tremors and muscle stiffness), fatigue, increased appetite, stuffy nose, and weight gain. Serious side effects from ABILIFY may include: • Antidepressants (including ABILIFY) may increase suicidal thoughts or behaviors in some children, teenagers, and young adults, especially within the first few months of treatment or when the dose is changed. • An increased risk of stroke and ministroke • Tardive dyskinesia, uncontrollable movements of face, tongue, or other parts of body. Tardive Dyskinesia may not go away, even if you stop taking ABILIFY. Tardive Dyskinesia may also start after you stop taking ABILIFY. • Neuroleptic malignant syndrome (NMS), a rare and serious condition that can lead to death. • Seizures (convulsions) have been reported with ABILIFY. • Increases in blood sugar levels (hyperglycemia). Extremely high blood sugar can lead to coma or death. • Changes in cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the blood • Weight gain • Difficulty swallowing which may lead to aspiration or choking • Orthostatic hypotension (low blood pressure) • Decreases in white blood cells (WBC = infection fighting cells) • ABILIFY and medicines like it can affect your judgment, thinking, or motor skills. You should not drive or operate hazardous machinery until you know how ABILIFY affects you. • Medicines like ABILIFY can impact your body’s ability to reduce body temperature; you should avoid overheating and dehydration. Far and away the most common experience with KETAMINE infusions (at KETAMINE TREATMENT CENTERS) is to have NO SIDE EFFECTS in between treatments. ALL OF THE ABOVE INFORMATION REGARDING ABILIFY IS TAKEN VERBATIM FROM www.Abilify.com KETAMINE is a medicine developed more than 50 years ago for anesthesia during surgery, and has been used for that purpose since that time in children, adults, and animals. More recently, KETAMINE has been found to be a valuable and highly effective treatment for major depression, bipolar depression, postpartum depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, and certain pain disorders such as fibromyalgia. KETAMINE TREATMENT CENTERS offers infusions as a simple outpatient procedure. Following a consultation to determine the appropriateness and safety of this treatment, patients are guided each step of the way with the help of a clinical coordinator to ensure a smooth, supportive process. Because the effects of a single infusion are short-lived, patients who show response (70%) will receive a series of infusions over a 2-3 week period. This is an off-label use of KETAMINE, meaning that the FDA has not approved this medication for this use. However, its safety and effectiveness have been demonstrated in multiple research studies, and off-label prescribing is a common and necessary practice in all fields of medicine. KETAMINE TREATMENT CENTERS was founded in 2011 by Dr. Steven P. Levine. Though he is a psychiatrist who places great emphasis on the importance of psychotherapy, medication is often a necessary component of treatment, and he was dissatisfied with the relatively ineffective available options with burdensome side effects. Dr. Levine pioneered a protocol for the clinical use of KETAMINE infusions, has directly supervised many thousands of infusions, and has helped establish similar programs across the country and around the world. Dr. Levine has partnered with Dr. Anand Dugar, a board-certified anesthesiologist, combining the expertise of both psychiatry and anesthesia to provide unrivaled, world-class care for the treatment of major depression, bipolar depression, postpartum depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), fibromyalgia, and pain syndromes. Today, we are proud to have a growing network of KETAMINE TREATMENT CENTERS around the country bringing this important treatment closer to home for millions more. How To Make Natural Viagra Using Only 2 Ingredients

01:56
Most people believe that men's sexual performance and sexual function issues must be cured by medication, such as Viagra. However, a natural and home-made remedy is just as effective, if not better. That is because this remedy is made from aphrodisiacs, which encourages sexual feelings.  Here's how to make the homemade Viagra:   Ingredients:   - Freshly squeezed lemon juice - Watermelon   Preparation:   - Cut the watermelon in tiny pieces. - Blend the pieces of watermelon until you get watermelon juice, about a liter of it.  - Put the juice in a pot and boil it for several minutes.  - Add the lemon juice to the watermelon juice.  - Mix the juices well and boil until the whole amount reduces to a half.  - Set the mixture aside for an hour, so that it cools down.  - Pour the juice in a clean glass bottle.  - Store in the refrigerator.    Watermelon is great for your health. Specifically, for sexual health, it contains lycopene and citruline. Both of these nutrients are aphrodisiacs and improve your sexual performance.  When preparing to consume this mixture, be sure to limit your intake of sugars and salts, as they can reduce the effects.  Consume any amount of this drink, starting from 2 tbsp to 1/3 of a cup. This should be taken in the morning, on an empty stomach, or in the evening. When consumed on a regular basis, you will soon notice an increase in your sexual potency and performance. Both men and women, alike, can benefit from this drink, regardless of age.  Disclaimer: The materials and the information contained on Natural Cures channel are provided for general and educational purposes only and do not constitute any legal, medical or other professional advice on any subject matter. 7 Surprising Things That Can Kick You Out of Ketosis

Survey Question: https://www.drberg.com/video-idea-survey/biggest-health-issue Take Dr. Berg's Free Keto Mini-Course: http://pxlme.me/-i717vtY or go here: https://www.drberg.com/how-to-do-ketosis Download Keto Essentials https://m.me/drericberg?ref=w2128577 Dr. Berg talks about the 7 Surprising things that can kick you out of ketosis: 1. Stress 2. Excessive caffeine 3. Bone broth and whey protein (and even L-Glutamine 4. MSG (monosodium glutamate) hidden in lots of foods – sauces 5. Artificial sweeteners (aspartame, saccharine) 6. Excess protein 7. Keto-friendly deserts (excessive xylitol) Hey guys, I want to create an important video on this 7 surprising things that can kick you out of ketosis. You may know the typical things like sugar and refined carbohydrates but these are the things that you may not know that are important. Stress can kick you out of ketosis because stress activates a hormone called cortisol. Cortisol is the main adrenal hormone that adapts the body to stress. So any type of stress, shock to the system, surgery, trauma, allergies and even the loss of the love ones can activate stress, stress in your job or relationship stress could actually knock you out of ketosis. Next one is the excessive caffeine, one cup of coffee is not going to do anything but if you are doing coffee or tea all day long with caffeine too much of that can activate adrenaline which can then activate insulin. Bone broth in large quantities, a little bit of bone broth is not going to be an issue, I’m talking about protein. Protein can bump you out. I am not too concerned about bone broth, even when you are fasting it may knock you out a little bit but it is a very small amounts. Whey proteins is one of the top proteins, because it is a low fat and is a high protein that will stimulate insulin and knock you out with ketosis. L-Glutamine, people take that for their digestive system and they can get irritable bowel syndrome, it is a protein and can knock you out in ketosis. I am not concerned about you taking that because it really helps you in a certain ways, it is not going to put weight on but the only reason that I’m bringing it up is if you test yourself and all of the sudden it knocks you out, don’t be concerned if that’s what doing it, it is a temporary thing but it will knock you out. And then we have MSG, Monosodium glutamate another name for that is modified food starch. It is in so many foods, it is easy to avoid if you are shopping but it is very hard to avoid if you are going out to restaurants because they have it in the sauces, dressings, in some of the flavor enhancers, any food that just taste too good typically has MSG on it especially if it is a fast-food restaurant. The next one, artificial sweeteners Aspartame, Splenda - that has actual dextrin, saccharine and Maltodextrin. 7 Cystic Acne Home Remedies that Really Work

05:19
One of the worst kinds of acne is cystic acne. This type of acne feels like soft, fluid- filled lumps under the skin’s covering. These big, red lumps can be painful and can cause harm to the skin, and will probably leave scars. They usually come on your face, chest, back, upper arms, or shoulders. Taking proper care of your skin and a healthy lifestyle are very  important for treating cystic acne. There are also some simple home cures that can help treat  it by bringing down swelling and fighting infection. 1. Turmeric To get rid of cystic acne, you can use turmeric. This spice has curcumin, which naturally brings down swelling and eases pain. Also, it kills bad germs and fights the infection. Add a little water or unrefined sesame oil to 1 to 2 teaspoons of turmeric powder to make a paste. Put this paste on the hurt area and leave it on for about 1 hour before washing it off. Do this one or two times a day for a few days. 2. Apple Cider Vinegar Apple cider vinegar is another great cure for cystic acne. Because it’s an astringent, it helps get rid of extra oil to cure acne and ease pain and swelling. It also helps clean the skin and balance the skin’s acid level. Mix equal amounts of raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar and water. Dip a cotton ball in the mixture and put it on the hurt skin. Let it sit for about 15 minutes, then wash it off with water. Do this two times a day for a few days. 3. Tea Tree Oil Tea tree oil goes into the skin easily to help unblock  the sebaceous glands, clean pores, and dry out the acne. Put 1 or 2 drops of tea tree oil onto a cotton ball and pat it gently onto the hurt area. Leave it on for a few hours or overnight. People with sensitive skin should mix 1 part tea tree oil with 3 parts water before putting it on. Use this once a day for a week. Note: Some people are allergic to tea tree oil, so test it on a little bit of skin before using it. 4. Baking Soda Another great cure for cystic acne is baking soda. This is because it kills germs and brings down swelling. Baking soda can pull extra oil out of blocked pores and clean away dead skin cells. It also evens out the acid level of your skin, leaving it healthy and glowing. Mix 1 teaspoon of baking soda with enough cucumber juice to make a thin paste. If you do not have cucumber juice, you can use plain water. Put it on the hurt area. Let it sit for a couple of minutes and then wash it off with warm water. Do this one or two times a week. Note: Make sure to moisturize your skin after using baking soda. 5. Fuller's Earth Fuller’s earth is a type of clay that is good for curing cystic acne. It helps get rid of extra oil and dead skin cells, leaving clean and smooth skin. It even lowers the chance of scars forming. Mix 1 to 2 tablespoons of fuller’s earth with enough water to make a paste. Mix in a ½ teaspoon of honey. Put it on your face. Let it dry on its own, then wash it off with water. Do this one or two times a week. 6. Indian Lilac Indian lilac, also called neem or margosa, is a popular Ayurvedic cure for cystic acne. It kills germs and bacteria to help fight the cause of the problem. It also eases signs like pain and swelling. Taking neem into the body even helps wash out poisons and cleans your blood. Put the paste of neem leaves on the hurt area of the skin. Let it dry on its own before washing it off with warm water. Do this two times a day for a few days. 7. Dietary Changes By making some changes to your diet you can stop any type of acne, including cystic acne. Here are some things you should change. Follow a low-glycemic diet with whole grains, beans, fresh fruits, and green vegetables. Eat nuts and seeds that are full of vitamins A and E. Drink a lot of water throughout the day to flush harmful poisons out of your body. Eat little or no dairy, like milk and cheese, until the acne is gone. Don’t eat oily, fatty foods and spicy foods that can make the acne worse. Don’t eat junk foods and foods full of sugar. Latuda Medication Alternative 1-888-566-8774

01:03
Looking for an alternative to Latuda? https://ktcpartnership.com/ LATUDA is an atypical antipsychotic approved to treat adult patients with bipolar depression. In the last decade, KETAMINE has been used to treat patients with bipolar depression, major depression, and postpartum depression with a greater than 70% success rate within hours to days (not weeks to months like most oral medications/pills). Important Safety Information for LATUDA: • Antidepressants (like LATUDA) have increased the risk of suicidal thoughts and actions in some children, teenagers, and young adults. Patients of all ages starting treatment should be watched closely for worsening of depression, suicidal thoughts or actions, unusual changes in behavior, agitation, and irritability. • LATUDA can cause serious side effects, including stroke, that can lead to death. • Neuroleptic malignant syndrome (NMS) is a rare but very serious condition that can happen in people who take LATUDA. NMS can cause death and must be treated in a hospital. Some of these symptoms of NMS include: high fever, excessive sweating, rigid muscles, confusion, or changes in your breathing, heartbeat, or blood pressure. • Tardive dyskinesia (TD) is a serious and sometimes permanent side effect reported with LATUDA. Extremely high blood sugar can lead to coma or death. • Increases in triglycerides and LDL (bad) cholesterol and decreases in HDL (good) cholesterol have been reported with LATUDA. • Some patients may gain weight while taking LATUDA. • Tell your doctor if you experience any of these: feeling dizzy or light-headed upon standing, decreases in white blood cells (which can be fatal), or trouble swallowing. • LATUDA may raise the level of prolactin. Tell your healthcare provider if you experience a lack of menstrual periods, leaking or enlarged breasts, or impotence. • Tell your healthcare provider if you have a seizure disorder, have had seizures in the past, or have conditions that increase your risk for seizures. • Tell your healthcare provider if you experience prolonged, abnormal muscle spasms or contractions, which may be a sign of a condition called dystonia. • LATUDA can affect your judgment, thinking, and motor skills. You should not drive or operate hazardous machinery until you know how LATUDA affects you. • LATUDA may make you more sensitive to heat. You may have trouble cooling off. Tell your healthcare provider if you are allergic to any of the ingredients of LATUDA or take certain medications called CYP3A4 inhibitors or inducers. • Avoid drinking alcohol while taking LATUDA. • Avoid breastfeeding while taking LATUDA. • The most common side effects of LATUDA include nausea, sleepiness or drowsiness, restlessness or feeling like you need to move around (akathisia), and difficulty moving, slow movements, muscle stiffness, or tremor. • These are not all the possible side effects of LATUDA. Caring for women with epilepsy

10:03
Epilepsy affects approximately 1 percent of the population. In the United States, that adds up to about 3 million people. Half of those are women, and of those about 24,000 give birth each year. Studies show that most healthcare professionals do not know that sex hormones can affect seizures in women, and many could not report which seizure medications can cause contraceptive failure. UC Irvine Health epileptologist Mona Sazgar, MD, explains how the hormones can affect women with epilepsy, and what women and healthcare providers should know about seizure medications, pregnancy, birth control and more. Episode 30 Holly Higgins talks about her own experiences with psychiatric drugs and withdrawal...

48:27
This week, we talk to Holly Higgins. Holly shares her own experiences of the psychiatric system and psychiatric drugs, how she approached withdrawal from the drugs and talks about how she became a nutritional therapy practitioner. Holly now supports others in managing their mental health using nutrition and her excellent website Pills to Paleo provides a wide range of helpful resources for those that want to improve their mental health without resorting to psychiatric drugs. In this episode we discuss: Holly's difficult childhood experiences that led to low mood and anxiety issues How, at 25, Holly experienced a breaking point leading to intense anxiety and experiencing irrational thoughts and panic attacks That between the therapist, a social worker and a psychiatrist, Holly was diagnosed with 10 different mood disorders and medicated with psychiatric drugs How Holly was told medication would be a 'life jacket' and that she would need to take the drugs for the rest of her life That Holly spent the most time on Zoloft, Lamictal and Xanax, an SSRI antidepressant, a mood stabiliser and a Benzodiazepine How Holly felt excited because she believed that the drugs would help her out of a very bad place and they would treat her diagnosed mood disorders That Holly bought into the idea that she was 'broken and that her brain chemistry was out of balance How the medical professionals downplayed adverse effects and that Holly feels that there was no informed consent because she was given so little information about the drugs That Holly's treatment journey felt like a rollercoaster in that every time the drugs stopped working, the psychiatrist responded by increasing the dosage or adding another medication How that combination of drugs, taken at high dosages made Holly feel very unwell, her mood flatlining and leading to weight gain and losing her libido, which in turn affected her self confidence and her sense of self That, after 18 months of the drug treatment, Holly realised that she needed to get off the drugs and she started to do more internet research although it was the early days and there wasn't very information available at the time That Holly's Psychiatrist was supportive of Holly reducing her drugs but her goal seemed to be lowering doses rather than stopping completely That even a 12.5mg reduction of the Zoloft caused a strong reaction leading to vomiting, nausea, shaking, cold sweats, dizziness, headaches and irritability That Holly managed to find an integrative Psychiatrist who agreed to help Holly taper off her medications How Holly managed to find help from the books The Antidepressant Solution by Joseph Glenmullen and Will Hall's Harm reduction guide to coming off psychiatric drugs That Holly started to taper by the Prozac bridging method, switching to Prozac helps because it is more slowly eliminated from the body which reduces withdrawal effects That even that taper was still too fast and Holly's Psychiatrist wasn't keen to help her find a compounding pharmacy or eager to titrate down in smaller doses That Holly ended up coming off everything within two months, leading to dizziness, extreme fatigue, headaches, vomiting and leading to substantial time away from work How Holly experienced a return of depressive symptoms but it was a withdrawal effect That Holly felt that she started to stabilise after another month or so and realised that she needed to lose the excess weight, trying several different diets but with limited success How Holly came across the diet, the Whole 30, a version of the Paelo diet which was radically different to anything else that she had tried The diet required Holly to eliminate all grains, all dairy, all soy, all legumes, all refined sugars and oils and focus on humanely raised animal protein, vegetables, frats, healthy fast and nuts and seeds That after a month, Holly started to see some weight loss and also felt her mood lifting so she continued with the diet leading to more weight loss and improvement in her mood How Holly came to realise the significant connection between nutrition and mental health and that she felt angry because medical professionals had not once talked about nutrients and their impact on her wellbeing That Holly went on to study Nutritional Therapy, becoming a certified practitioner and also using her own lived experience, now specialising in nutrition for mental health That nutritional changes can support the tapering process and reduce withdrawal effects because they eliminate the most common inflammatory foods such as gluten, sugar and refined oils That the cytokine model of depression shows the major contribution of chronic inflammation to depression and other mental health problems and that if you can reduce that inflammation you can improve your mental health without drugs That lowering inflammation can also heal the gut and that a Paleo diet can also stabilise your blood sugar

Destroy Depression Review - Does It Really Work?

05:12
Get it in: http://bit.ly/2JFtJdj Destroy Depression Review - Does It Really Work? Treatments for Depression Depression is a mental disorder which affects about 350 million people worldwide. Its symptoms include, but are not limited to; Feelings of helplessness and hopelessness, loss of interest in daily activities, appetite or weight changes, insomnia or oversleeping, anger or irritability, loss of energy, self-loathing, reckless behavior, concentration problems, unexplained aches and pains and also suicidal thoughts.. Current popular treatments for depression include antidepressant medications and talk therapy such as counselling or psychotherapy. Unfortunately, these treatments have many drawbacks. AD medication is associated with a high risk of side effects and a low success rate, while therapy sessions are notoriously expensive, and often unaffordable or unobtainable for most people. Medical Treatments Medication for depression comes in the form of antidepressants. There are typically 4 classes of AD medication, SSRIs (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors), atypical antidepressants, tricyclics antidepressants and MAOIs (monoamine oxidase inhibitors). The SSRIs (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors) are the most commonly prescribed class of antidepressants. They act on a chemical in the brain called serotonin. The SSRIs include drugs such as Prozac, Zoloft, and Paxil. SSRIs are preferred over older classes of antidepressants because their adverse effects are less severe, however, like all antidepressants, SSRIs can cause an increase in suicidal thoughts and behaviors. They also carry a risk for increased hostility, agitation, and anxiety. In adults 65 and older, SSRIs increase the risk for falls, fractures, and bone loss. SSRIs can also cause severe withdrawal symptoms if you stop taking them abruptly. Atypical antidepressants are a variety of newer atypical antidepressants which target other neurotransmitters either alone or in addition to serotonin. For example, Wellbutrin blocks the reabsorption of the neurotransmitters dopamine and norepinephrine, while trazodone affects both norepinephrine and serotonin. Again, as with all antidepressant medication, there are many possible side effects. Tricyclics are among the oldest antidepressants. They work by inhibiting the brain’s reuptake or serotonin and norepinephrine. They also partially inhibit the reabsorption of dopamine. Because tricyclics have such a broad mechanism of action, they tend to cause more side effects than the other classes of antidepressants. For this reason, the SSRIs and the atypical antidepressants are usually prescribed first. Again, side effects are usual and severe withdrawal symptoms are often the case if you stop taking them abruptly. MAOIs (monoamine oxidase inhibitors) are the oldest class of antidepressants. MAOIs have severe interactions with certain foods, drinks, and medications. Combining MAO inhibitors with foods or drinks containing tyramine can result in dangerously high blood pressure, which can lead to a stroke or heart attack. Because of this danger, MAOIs are not typically chosen as a first-line depression treatment. As is usually the case with medication, antidepressants cannot cure depression. At best, they will lessen the symptoms of depression. However, success rates are notoriously low, not much better than a placebo in most cases, while the risk of side effects is extremely high. This is the reason many people in the medical industry refer to antidepressants as “sugar pills with side effects”. A Better, Safer Option Although very few doctors or medical professionals will know or tell you about it (there is too much money involved in conventional treatment methods), you can actually cure yourself of depression using only CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) techniques combined with some dietary and lifestyle changes. Indeed in the past, a number of doctors and scientists had reported such successes in medical journals, but this research is now kept hidden by the pharmaceutical industry. For the first time ever, this research has been dug up and used to compile a comprehensive step-by-step guide on exactly what you need to do to naturally and safely cure your depression in just a few weeks – without any medication or expensive therapy sessions. Guide to a Healthy Pregnancy (Urdu)

12:18
Please watch: "Most precious gift on 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal " https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=atq_zpdwU6c -~-~~-~~~-~~-~- 1. See your doctor or midwife as soon as possible As soon as you find out you're pregnant, get in touch with your GP or a midwife to organise your antenatal care. Organising your care early means you'll get good advice for a healthy pregnancy right from the start. You'll also have plenty of time to organise any ultrasound scans and tests that you may need. 2. Eat well Aim to eat a healthy, balanced diet whenever you can. Try to have: At least five portions of fruit and vegetables daily. Plenty of carbohydrates, such as bread, pasta and rice, as the basis of your meals. Choose wholegrain carbohydrates rather than white, so you get plenty of fibre. Daily servings of protein, such as fish, lean meat, eggs, nuts or pulses, and some milk and dairy foods. Two portions of fish a week, at least one of which should be oily. Fish is packed with protein, vitamin D, minerals and omega-3 fatty acids. Omega-3 fatty acids are important for the development of your baby's nervous system. You don't need to eat for two when you're pregnant. You don't need extra calories for the first six months of pregnancy. In the last three months you'll need about an extra 200 calories a day. You can keep up your energy levels with healthy snacks. See our pregnancy meal planners for each trimester. 3. Take a supplement Pregnancy vitamin supplements aren't a substitute for a balanced diet. But they can help if you're worried you're not eating well, or you're too sick to eat much. Make sure your supplement contains 400 micrograms (mcg) of folic acid. You need this while you're trying for a baby and for the first three months of pregnancy. Taking folic acid reduces the risk of your baby developing a neural tube defect such as spina bifida. Also, check that your supplement contains 10mcg of vitamin D. Vitamin D is important for your baby's future bone health. Talk to your GP or a pharmacist before taking an antenatal supplement. If you don't take a multivitamin for pregnant women, you can buy folic acid and vitamin D supplements separately. If you're on a low income, you might be able to get pregnancy vitamin supplements free of charge under the government's healthy start scheme. Go to www.healthystart.nhs.uk for more information. If you don't eat fish, fish oil supplements may be helpful. Choose a supplement made from the body of the fish, not the liver. This is because fish liver oils (such as cod liver oil) may contain the retinol form of vitamin A, which isn't recommended in pregnancy. 4. Be careful about food hygiene There are some foods it's safest not to eat in pregnancy. This is because they can carry a health risk for your baby. Listeriosis is an infection caused by listeria bacteria. It's rare and doesn't usually pose a threat to your health. However, it can cause pregnancy or birth complications. Listeriosis can even lead to miscarriage. The following foods may harbour listeria and so are best avoided: pate of any type unpasteurised milk undercooked ready meals soft, mould-ripened cheeses, such as brie blue-veined cheeses, such as roquefort As listeria bacteria are destroyed by heat, make sure you heat ready meals thoroughly. Salmonella can cause food poisoning. You can catch it from eating: undercooked poultry Is it safe to eat soft-boiled or raw eggs during pregnancy? Cook eggs until the white and yolk are solid. Thoroughly wash utensils, boards and your hands after handling raw poultry. Food hygiene is especially important now you're pregnant. Toxoplasmosis is an infection caused by a parasite. It's also rare, but it can affect your unborn baby. You can cut down your risk of catching it by: cooking meat and ready meals thoroughly washing fruit and vegetables well to remove soil or dirt wearing gloves when handling cat litter and garden soil 5. Exercise regularly Regular exercise has many benefits for mums-to-be. It can: Build your strength and endurance. This may help you to cope better with the extra weight of pregnancy and the hard work of labour. Make it easier for you to get back into shape after your baby is born. Boost your spirits and even help to ward off depression. Good exercise choices for pregnancy include: brisk walking swimming aquanatal classes yoga pilates If you play sport, you can continue as long as it feels comfortable for you. However, if your particular sport carries a risk of falls or knocks, or extra stress on your joints, it's best to stop. Talk to your GP if you're unsure. http://www.babycentre.co.uk/a536361/10-steps-to-a-healthy-pregnancy#ixzz3jOFokEzl

The Great Gildersleeve: The House Is Sold / The Jolly Boys Club Is Formed / Job Hunting

01:29:31
The Great Gildersleeve (1941--1957), initially written by Leonard Lewis Levinson, was one of broadcast history's earliest spin-off programs. Built around Throckmorton Philharmonic Gildersleeve, a character who had been a staple on the classic radio situation comedy Fibber McGee and Molly, first introduced on Oct. 3, 1939, ep. #216. The Great Gildersleeve enjoyed its greatest success in the 1940s. Actor Harold Peary played the character during its transition from the parent show into the spin-off and later in a quartet of feature films released at the height of the show's popularity. On Fibber McGee and Molly, Peary's Gildersleeve was a pompous windbag who became a consistent McGee nemesis. "You're a haa-aa-aa-aard man, McGee!" became a Gildersleeve catchphrase. The character was given several conflicting first names on Fibber McGee and Molly, and on one episode his middle name was revealed as Philharmonic. Gildy admits as much at the end of "Gildersleeve's Diary" on the Fibber McGee and Molly series (Oct. 22, 1940). He soon became so popular that Kraft Foods—looking primarily to promote its Parkay margarine spread — sponsored a new series with Peary's Gildersleeve as the central, slightly softened and slightly befuddled focus of a lively new family. Premiering on August 31, 1941, The Great Gildersleeve moved the title character from the McGees' Wistful Vista to Summerfield, where Gildersleeve now oversaw his late brother-in-law's estate and took on the rearing of his orphaned niece and nephew, Marjorie (originally played by Lurene Tuttle and followed by Louise Erickson and Mary Lee Robb) and Leroy Forester (Walter Tetley). The household also included a cook named Birdie. Curiously, while Gildersleeve had occasionally spoken of his (never-present) wife in some Fibber episodes, in his own series the character was a confirmed bachelor. In a striking forerunner to such later television hits as Bachelor Father and Family Affair, both of which are centered on well-to-do uncles taking in their deceased siblings' children, Gildersleeve was a bachelor raising two children while, at first, administering a girdle manufacturing company ("If you want a better corset, of course, it's a Gildersleeve") and then for the bulk of the show's run, serving as Summerfield's water commissioner, between time with the ladies and nights with the boys. The Great Gildersleeve may have been the first broadcast show to be centered on a single parent balancing child-rearing, work, and a social life, done with taste and genuine wit, often at the expense of Gildersleeve's now slightly understated pomposity. Many of the original episodes were co-written by John Whedon, father of Tom Whedon (who wrote The Golden Girls), and grandfather of Deadwood scripter Zack Whedon and Joss Whedon (creator of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Firefly and Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog). The key to the show was Peary, whose booming voice and facility with moans, groans, laughs, shudders and inflection was as close to body language and facial suggestion as a voice could get. Peary was so effective, and Gildersleeve became so familiar a character, that he was referenced and satirized periodically in other comedies and in a few cartoons. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Gildersleeve
