It is more common among men than women. Exertional headaches usually consist of a throbbing or pulsating pain that lasts from as short as a few minutes to several hours. The pain is usually severe at the onset, and then gradually decreases. If the headache pain lasts longer than that, you should get it checked out by your doctor. To help get rid of an exercise induced exertion headache you should immediately stop whatever exercise or activity you're doing and focus on taking deep breaths to try and relax your body. Breathe deep into your belly. Doing this should help reduce the headache pain within a few minutes. After that do some light stretching for your neck, shoulders, and back to help release any tension that you have in these areas. After the stretching and deep breathing your headache pain should be reduced and you maybe able to continue on with your workout at a reduced intensity. Lighten up the weights, stop your sets short of failure, and take longer rest breaks between sets. You should purposely train easier like this for the next few workouts and monitor how you feel. As long as you avoid getting the exertion headaches, you can gradually increase your training intensity day by day until you are back to training at 100%. But if the headaches return frequently, then play it safe and get it checked out by your doctor to ensure that there's no underlying medical condition that needs to be addressed. In addition to these tips, your nutrition can play a big role with whether or not you get headaches. Things like your level of hydration, blood sugar, and electrolyte balance all play a role. Today we’re going to talk about a common problem that some people experience when they’re doing, for example, exercises that the head is not in the right position, leading to dizziness. Now, dizziness can be due to a variety of factors. Most commonly, when it is related to postural change, we call it postural blood pressure problems. Now, the body’s blood pressure is regulated in many ways through an automatic mechanism. When the body’s head is below a certain level, in order to get more blood to the brain, the body’s blood vessels automatically constrict and that is intended to bring more blood to the brain so you don’t faint. Now, when this mechanism is defective or not functioning well, then problems can arise. For example, you can feel dizzy. You can feel the room spinning. You can feel even nauseated. You can have headaches and in severe cases, you can faint. The first thing you have to do if you have this type of experience is to get yourself back to a situation where your head is level or above your heart so that your body has the ability to regain its composure. The medical workup including cardiac as well as neurological workup will include checking out your heart, making sure that your carotid blood vessels are okay, there’s no blockage. Make sure your heart is not having any arrhythmias that are causing the heart rate to be dysregulated during these situations. Make sure that your ears and your nose are okay so that you don’t have any postural changes that can affect your balance. Metabolically, you’re going to make sure that your sugar is not low beyond a certain point. If everything checks out, then chances are you’ll be told that this is posture related. There’s really not much you can do if that’s the case, if everything works out. In the case of adrenal fatigue, we do see some postural changes and oftentimes, this can be improved with increasing the vascular volume such as with more fluids as well as more salt. Regulating and normalizing blood pressure often can also be beneficial and helpful. As far as exercise, you have to moderate yourself. Oftentimes, when the body is in a state of adrenal fatigue, the fight or flight response can be activated and when this happens, dizziness can occur as well. There are many, many reasons and you want to make sure that there’s no conventional medical reasons that you cannot check out. If everything turns out to be normal, do look into adrenal fatigue because it is very common. The good news is that, oftentimes, these are spontaneously healing signs. As your body gets stronger, if it is indeed related to adrenal issues, then oftentimes it gets better by itself. Taking medications can have its place if the situation is severe and you don’t want to be in a fainting situation, which can be dangerous to yourself and others. Regulating blood pressure, etc. can be considered with conventional medication. The problem with this is that if you overregulate, you can be a little more dizzy and a little more calm and sometimes walk around like a zombie because you can be sedated in order to avoid these problems. At the same time, if you don’t look at the underlying problem and resolve it, then these masking medications can actually be detrimental and negative to your overall health over time because your problem underneath is really not resolved. If it’s a matter of simple insufficient salt or adrenal weakness, then there are simple ways you can do, from lifestyle, nutrition, and supplementation that can help with the adrenals and then the postural blood pressure changes can resolve. These are the first steps you should take. However, especially if you are older and you have a previous history of heart disease, then you need to see a doctor first and make sure there’s nothing else going on. Heavy drinkers who want to limit their alcohol intake should slowly lower intake over the course of several weeks. Heavy drinkers who suddenly cut back alcohol intake put themselves at risk to develop severe high blood pressure. Quit smoking. Smoking is one of the most common and avoidable contributing factors to cardiovascular death. The chemicals in cigarettes cause an increase in heart rate and vessel constriction, which cause increased blood pressure. More importantly, cigarette smoking causes stiffening of the arteries over time, which can persist for many years after quitting. Limit your caffeine intake. Caffeine causes an increase in heart rate and blood pressure, especially in those who do not consume it regularly. At high doses, it can even cause irregular heart beats. The current recommendations are to consume no more than 400 mg daily. Use herbal remedies. Many women report having headaches early on in pregnancy. And those can be normal, and they're due to hormone changes that are causing all of the other changes that you're feeling in your body at that point. But they should subside, they should just be mild. And of course we all get headaches every once in a while because we haven't eaten enough, we are dehydrated, we need more sleep, or we're just stressed out and having tension headaches. So if you eliminated those possibilities and the pain is persisting or getting worse, especially if you feel like it's one of the worst headaches of your life, you've never had migraines before and you feel like you're having a migraine, maybe you're having vision changes, or auras, or other unusual symptoms associated with the headache, if you have a fever, if it's related to exertion, you have unusual pain in your neck, or if there's anything else going on that's concerning with it, talk with your doctor. They'll ask you more specific questions about the symptoms that you're having, the quality of the pain, what makes it worse, what makes it better, if anything brought it on, and they'll decide if further investigation or treatment is necessary for you. You should also talk with the doctor if you notice headaches after 20 weeks of pregnancy. At that point, the concern is preeclampsia, and we have to rule that out first. And it's related to high blood pressure in pregnancy, so that's one of the first things the doctor will do if you have a headache after 20 weeks - take your blood pressure and see what it is. And then if your blood pressure is normal, they'll consider other causes. Now you specifically mentioned that you have been having headaches, you went to the doctor, they gave you some medicine, but it's not helping, the pain seems to be persisting and getting worse, so it would be best for you to call them back and let them know. And they'll decide what treatment will help you feel better and determine if further investigation is warranted for underlying issues. When we are talking about increased pressure in the eye, we are talking about glaucoma. Headache will also be associated with the glaucoma. Numbness, tingling and burning sensation means there is some excitation on the nervous system. Then the diagnosis becomes more into an auto immune disease. Auto immune disease is the disease where our immune system is attacking us. In auto immune disease along with fatigue, skin discolouration it will also be associated with the eyes. In eyes there will be inflammation and glaucoma. The main problem is inflammation. Here our cells which should be actually attacking on bacteria is attacking us. Multiple sclerosis is one of the most common auto immune disease. There is no good treatment against auto immune disease. We can get the diagnosis by MRI or cerebrospinal fluid tap. There is something in the grains and legumes called lecitins. To find out this we need to take a blood analysis and stool analysis. In stool analysis we are searching for good bacteria. If the good bacteria is there this will prevent the leaky gut. That means if peanut allergy is there, to help us break down these peanuts we need these good bacteria. If the good bacteria is missing huge chains of the proteins is getting into the blood. This is causing allergic reactions. Diet, medications all of these mechanisms help us to improve our immune system. One of the most important thing is to have some probiotic in our diet. Indian diet is filled with yogurt and curd and this would be a good idea. Fruits are also very important. Increase them in your diet. Diet and exercise should be able to tackle a situation that most medicine is not able to.

Pulsatile tinnitus is often caused by sounds created either by blood flow problems in the face or neck, muscle movements near the ear, or changes in the ear canal. The non-pulsatile tinnitus is usually caused by nerve problems involving hearing in one or both ears. The latter is sometimes described as a sound coming from inside the head. The most common cause of tinnitus is from age-related hearing loss – technically called presbycusis. However, it can also result from living or working in a loud environment. Tinnitus can occur with many types of hearing loss and can be a symptom of almost any ear disorder.
