Blood pressure is the force the circulating blood EXERTS on the walls of blood vessels. It is different in different types of vessels, but the term ”blood pressure”, when not specified otherwise, refers to ARTERIAL pressure in the SYSTEMIC circulation. When the heart contracts and pumps blood into the aorta, during systole, the aortic pressure RISES, and so does the systemic arterial pressure. The maximum pressure following an ejection is called the SYSTOLIC pressure. In between heart beats, when the ventricles refill, blood pressure FALLS to its lowest value called the DIASTOLIC pressure. THESE are the 2 numbers on a blood pressure reading. Blood pressure normally shows a daily pattern and is usually lower at night. During day-time, it fluctuates with physical activities and emotional states. Hypertension refers to a PERSISTENT HIGH blood pressure. In the US, high blood pressure used to be defined as greater than 140/90, but recent guidelines have changed these values to 130/80 to better prevent and treat the condition. Normal blood pressure is BELOW 120/80. In practice, blood pressure is considered TOO low ONLY if it produces symptoms. Hypertension does NOT cause symptoms on its own, but it slowly DAMAGES blood vessels, and in the long-term, is a MAJOR risk factor for a variety of cardiovascular diseases such as stroke, aneurysm and heart attack; as well as end organ damage such as renal failure or vision loss. For this reason, hypertension is known as the “SILENT killer”. Hypertension can be classified as primary or secondary, with the former being responsible for over 90% of cases. Primary hypertension has NO apparent cause and may develop as a result of old age, obesity, high-salt diet, lack of exercise, smoking and drinking. Most commonly, the blood vessels are hardened with age or unhealthy diets, making it harder for blood to flow. Secondary hypertension, on the other hand, is caused by an underlying condition. Many conditions and factors can cause hypertension; most notable are kidney problems and endocrine disturbances. Regardless of the cause, the INcrease in blood pressure is produced by EITHER an INcrease in vascular resistance - narrower or stiffer blood vessels; OR an INcrease in cardiac output – larger volume of blood pumped out by the heart. These 2 factors are the targets of antihypertensive drugs. Treatments must start with life style changes such as healthy, low-sodium diets, physical exercise and stress management. On top of that, antihypertensive agents may be used to control hypertension. These include: - Vasodilators: these drugs DILATE blood vessels, thereby DEcreasing vascular resistance and reducing blood pressure. - Diuretics: diuretics promote sodium and water removal by the kidneys and thereby DEcrease blood volume. - Drugs that DEcrease cardiac output by decreasing heart rate or contractility, may also be used to treat hypertension.

🎓 Beating high blood pressure with coconut oil and exercise

- Either coconut oil supplementation or exercise training was shown to reduce blood pressure. However, only combined coconut oil and exercise training were able to bring the pressure back to normotensive values. The reduction in blood pressure caused by the combination of coconut oil supplementation and exercise training might be explained by the improvement of the reduced baroreflex sensitivity and by the reduction in oxidative stress in the serum, heart and aorta. * Coconut oil supplementation and physical exercise improves baroreflex sensitivity and oxidative stress in hypertensive rats Applied Physiology, Nutrition, and Metabolism, 10.1139/apnm-2014-0351 - http://healthresearchreport.me/2015/02/10/beating-high-blood-pressure-with-a-combination-of-coconut-oil-and-physical-exercise/

☝️ 3 Pressure Points That’ll Instantly Lower Your Blood Pressure Naturally

How I Lowered My Dad’s Blood Pressure by 23% In Just A Few days - NO Drugs or Diets: 👉http://drsam.co/yt/LongTermLowBP Or you can watch this video: http://drsam.co/yt/WorstFoodForBP ======================================= ☝️ 3 Pressure Points That’ll Instantly Lower Your Blood Pressure Naturally ======================================= Lowering high blood pressure is a very important topic not only for avoiding a heart attack or stroke, but simply for a longer life. And personally speaking, this is very important for me because I have a family history of high blood pressure, which has typically lead to strokes on my dad’s side of the family and heart attacks on my mom’s. The good news is that there are lots of simple ways to lower high blood pressure, naturally. And today I’m going reveal 3 simple pressure points on your body, that will instantly lower your blood pressure. Something important that I want to bring to your attention about today’s topic is that these solutions are for instant results, NOT long-term solutions … which I’ll get to at the end of today’s video. So if you’re feeling stressed or your blood pressure is rising, you can almost instantly and quickly use today’s 3 pressure points to lower your blood pressure and help avoid anything bad from happening. If nothing else, you’ll get instant relief and relaxation. Acupressure Point LI4 LI 4, which stands for “Large Intestine 4”, is an extremely useful acupressure point that is extensively used to treat chronic pain, acute stress and various types of diseases along with treatment for high blood pressure. This point is situated in the webbing between the forefinger and the thumb… right in the middle as you see here. It calms and balances blood flow throughout the body and clears stagnation. As an added benefit, it also boosts your immunity. The most effective way to apply pressure to LI 4 is to slide your thumb along the webbing until you reach the junction of the thumb and index finger bones. How to apply acupressure? Begin by moving your thumb in a small circular rubbing motion over LI 4 for a few seconds. Then you can apply gentle to moderate thumb pressure depending on how sensitive the area feels. If there is any pain, it should be a “good hurt,” not severe or uncomfortable. You can hold the point as long as you are comfortable, up to several minutes. I typically suggest about 20-30 seconds, then take a few second break and then repeat as often as you’d like. PC 6 PC 6 or Pericardium 6 is yet another important acupressure point for treating high blood pressure. It soothes and helps the heart and circulatory system in their proper functioning. This point is also known as the Inner Gate, and it is located on the inner forearm, approximately three finger-widths away from the wrist crease as you see here. This point can be stimulated by applying firm pressure to the point using your index finger or thumb. Again, apply pressure for about 20-30 seconds, then take a break and repeat as needed. G20 The G20 is below the base of your skull, in the hollows on both sides of the neck, between the two vertical neck muscles. Putting pressure here lowers your blood pressure, reduces headaches and stress by relaxing your nervous system. Use your thumbs, fingers, or knuckles to gradually apply pressure into the hollows of your skull. Close your eyes as you tilt your head back slowly. Take long, slow deep breaths as you hold for two to three minutes. Direct the pressure slowly and firmly into the center of your head. Other Acupressure Points Now, there are lots of other acupressure points -- on your feet, arms, legs, and so forth. I picked these 3 areas for lowering your blood pressure because you can do them any where, any place -- they’re easy to access. It’s just your hand, forearm/wrist and the back of your head. Easy access, you can do it yourself and you’ll get fast relief. ======================================== Thank you for watching. Please feel free to comment, like or share with your friends. 🌽 #1 Food That Causes High Blood Pressure

How I Lowered My Dad’s Blood Pressure In Just A Few days - NO Drugs or Diets: 👉 http://drsam.co/yt/LowerBPNow 5 Best Foods For Lowering Your Blood Pressure, Naturally: 👉 http://drsam.co/yt/FoodsLoweringBP Or you can watch this video: http://drsam.co/yt/SurprisingHBPFacts And the clinical studies can be seen here: 1. http://www.cdc.gov/bloodpressure/facts.htm 2. http://openheart.bmj.com/content/1/1/e000167 3. http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2005/06/14/calories-america.aspx ======================================= 🌽 #1 Food That Causes High Blood Pressure ======================================= If you didn’t already know, at least ⅓ of US adults have high blood pressure. And having hypertension is one of the leading causes of a heart attack or stroke.(1) Now, there are lots of ways to naturally lower your blood pressure and under this video, in the description area, I’ve listed some of my favorites. However, don’t go there yet because most people, including doctors, mistakenly consume less salt to lower blood pressure. However, low-salt diets typically don’t make much of a difference. What does make a big difference is lowering sugar in your diet and more specifically, “high fructose corn syrup” In a recent study in the journal Open Heart (2), the authors write: “Evidence from epidemiological studies and experimental trials in animals and humans suggests that added sugars, particularly fructose, may increase blood pressure and blood pressure variability, increase heart rate and myocardial oxygen demand, and contribute to inflammation, insulin resistance and broader metabolic dysfunction. Thus, while there is no argument that recommendations to reduce consumption of processed foods are highly appropriate and advisable, the arguments in this review are that the benefits of such recommendations have less to do with sodium—minimally related to blood pressure and perhaps even inversely related to cardiovascular risk—and more to do with highly-refined carbohydrates and sugars." The Problem Started In The 1970s Food and beverage manufacturers began switching their sweeteners from sucrose (table sugar) to corn syrup in the 1970s when they discovered that High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS) was far cheaper to use in their products. In fact, HFCS is the #1 source of calories in America!!!( 3) It’s found in almost everything you can think of. More specifically, in sodas and fruit juices. But also in many pre-packaged foods. This also includes “healthy sugars” sweetened with agave. My Proven “Prescription” and Recommendation For You You must do your best to limit and eliminate all HFCS and to do this, make sure you read labels. Again, the LESS pre-packaged the food, the better. Limit your TOTAL fructose to 25 grams or less, that’s about 100 calories daily. This includes the natural fructose found in fruits. If you are already suffering from high blood pressure or signs of insulin resistance like diabetes, overweight and high cholesterol, you should be particularly careful to limit your fructose, including that from whole fruits, to 15 grams per day or less. That’s about 60 calories daily. So there you have it. Focus more on limiting your sugars, this includes fruit sugar, fructose … and especially “high fructose corn syrup” which is found in most pre-packaged foods, especially sodas and fruit juices. Now, I wanted to keep this video short and simple so you have something to implement today and start get results right away. If you want more details on how to lower your blood pressure naturally, under this video I’ve got simple and proven solutions that you can utilize and you do NOT even have to change your diet or exercise. Or look at these: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=25zDNw3ZQU8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TfS74a_MSgg ======================================== Thank you for watching. I am 25 weeks pregnant with high blood pressure. How can I lower it?

03:00
Preeclampsia is a condition of pregnancy caused by something that occurs during pregnancy that causes a woman's blood pressure to go up. For most people a normal blood pressure is about 120 over 80. If your blood pressure starts to slowly creep up and it's 140 over 90 or greater, then the doctor is probably going to start monitoring you. You can expect them to draw your blood and test your urine and watch your baby and also ask you a lot about certain symptoms you might be feeling like headaches, dizziness, blurry vision, and a sudden increase in swelling. If you're at home and ever have this persistent headache that you just can't kick it's always a good idea to go get your blood pressure checked. In your specific case you mentioned that your blood pressure was 144 over 72, the doctor tested your urine and it sounds like there's not any protein there. You want to know what you can do to lower your blood pressure. There really is nothing you can do to reverse the process once it's started but you can do something to try to slow it down. If the doctor has told you to be on bed rest or modified best rest then follow their advice because when we are at rest our blood pressure is lower. Your blood pressure at rest may slowly start to creep up because if your body is developing preeclampsia this will naturally happen. Because the cause is pregnancy the cure is delivery. It never starts to reverse itself until you've actually delivered the baby. This becomes very complicated if you're preterm. You did mention that you're 25 weeks and obviously we don't want to deliver you at this point unless it's necessary. You're the best incubator for your baby and there are no other incubators out there that are better. But sometimes if you develop preeclampsia then it becomes necessary to deliver the baby for their wellbeing and for yours. Ultimately complications of this can be as severe as a stroke and seizures for you. These things can also compromise the baby and there can be compromised blood flow to the baby because the high blood pressure also affects your blood's ability to flow through the placenta. They'll watch you very closely. They'll monitor your blood, your urine, your baby, combine all of these pieces of the puzzle together and it might come to the point where you have to deliver early for the wellbeing of you and your baby. Hopefully that's not the case. Hopefully you can carry your baby to full term. If you're developing it this early then I would keep in close contact with your doctor and make sure if you start to have suspicious symptoms that you get your blood pressure checked right away. Again, the only thing you can do is be at rest most of the time. Do this under the direction of your doctor and ask your doctor if they feel like it's necessary in your case. If you have any other questions for me feel free to ask them on our Facebook page and recommend us to your friends and family too.

► TOP 10 Causes Of High Blood Pressure

07:22
How I lowered my dad's blood pressure, without drugs or diets ►►http://drsam.co/yt/SeeItYourself ======================================= Top 10 Causes Of High Blood Pressure ======================================= 1. AGE Most people don’t realize that AGE is one of the BIGGEST factors for high blood pressure. I discuss this in my very important article, but what’s important to note is that after the age of 40, 33% of the population has high blood pressure and after the age of 60, over 71% of the population has hypertension! So, if you’re over the age of 40 and have high blood pressure, it may not be your fault. But it IS your responsibility to fix it right away and here is how I lowered my dad’s blood pressure naturally, in just 30 days. 2. GENETICS & FAMILY HISTORY Well, not much can be done here. This is in fact my own problem because I have a family history (on my dad’s side) of hypertension, heart attacks and especially strokes. You can read more about it, include my personal favorite solution that my dad, my family and I use to promote healthy blood pressure levels, naturally! 3. SMOKING Come on people, smoking has NO health benefits. STOP smoking! 4. ALCOHOL A little bit of alcohol is okay, especially if it’s organic red wine. But drinking every night will cause damage to your heart, arteries and liver. Alcohol is a toxic and it’s acidic, both being bad for your body. 5. BEING OVERWEIGHT Similar to smoking, being overweight has no health benefits. And the older you get, the harder it is to lose that unwanted fat. 6. SODIUM Salt has its benefits actually. Regular table salt or salt found in processed foods and packages is BAD for you. However, “natural” salts such as Himalayan rock or Celtic sea salt is GOOD for you and can actually help LOWER blood pressure. I’ll discuss this in a future article. 7. STRESS Well know stress is bad. However, you can’t get rid of it. What’s important is the MEANING you give to stressful situations. If you freak out, get negative and focus on the problem the entire time … you put your body under extra stress. The secret is to focus on the SOLUTION and to know that “this too shall pass” and worrying about the problem isn’t going to help anything… Especially our blood pressure or heart. 8. LACK OF PHYSICAL ACTIVITY We sit too much these days. Just get outside and walk daily, even if it’s just for 15-20 minutes. It’ll do wonders for your physical AND mental health! 9. MEDICAL CONDITIONS This goes back to “genetics”. And if you know you have a genetic “problem”, which is making things worse, then you MUST make changes to your life-style because your body is more sensitive than the average person. This is a similar problem with my dad and why he had a stroke. 10. MEDICATION Ironically, many “heart” medications actually cause more heart PROBLEMS in the long run. They can increase your cholesterol, blood sugar or blood pressure levels. They can decrease blood flow and circulation. And they all cause extra stress on your liver and kidneys, which then cause more problems for your heart. How To Lower Blood Pressure Naturally With L-Arginine And Exercise - High BP Treatment Supplement

10:00
http://herbreview.org/how-to-lower-blood-pressure-with-l-arginine-and-exercise Taking l-arginine an hour or two before aerobic exercise may be an effective way of lowering blood pressure. The exercise and arginine in your bloodstream will help relax and widen ("vasodilate") your blood vessels and lower high blood pressure for a while. Blood pressure will be lowered for perhaps a couple of days. So you need to keep this up. Exercise at least three times a week, and with the arginine supplementation, your blood pressure will be lowered naturally (at least more naturally than a pharmaceutical drug.) This video can be found on YouTube at :- http://youtu.be/uxdrZl0CX4A The dose of arginine required is half a gram for every 10kg of body weight. Take your weight in kilograms, divide by ten. Then multiply the result by 0.5 and you should get your dosage. Which will be around 3-4 grams for most people. This formula has been quoted in the scientific literature, for what I'm not exactly sure, but the formula works. And it's been used by at least two holistic-approach sources. I calculated 4g was my optimal dose of arginine before I came across this formula, which just verified mathematically my personal results. As with any supplement, there is always the danger and side effect of overdosing, so taking just the minimum arginine you need for the BP lowering effect. If you'd like to lower your BP beyond what arginine can deliver, try other supplements. The cause of high BP is probably "multifactorial", meaning there are several reasons that contribute to high BP. Each cause may respond best to a different supplement, so a bit of trial and error may be needed. Some supplements may "fight" each other, so just be careful here. Why isn't the BP lowering effects of arginine combined with exercise more widely known? Arginine is cheap. And can't be patented by big the big drug companies. Perhaps this is one possible reason. Thanks for reading, and good luck with your health.
