This video is about how I've been using fish oil for several years to lower blood pressure, cholestrol, and triglycerides. I cover the health benefits of fish oil, the dosage my cardiologist recommended, what to look for, what fish oil to avoid, how to tell if a fish oil is any good, best brands, etc. Whether or not fish oil reduces blood pressure is still controversial but since a good quality fish oil has so many other benefits and it was recommended by my cardiologist, I take 2 teaspoons per day. I believe that fish oil can reduce blood pressure but can't prove it. I take several supplements for hypertension. Perhaps the supplements I take work together to keep my blood pressure under control. All fish oils aren't equal. Some brands such as Carlson and Nordic naturals are highly purified and potent. Others are cheaply made, inexpensive, and may not offer the same benefits. Also there are many reasons why blood pressure can rise. e.g. If it's because of stress, a stress reduction program could work very well. On the other hand taking supplements such as L-Theanine for stress may have absolutely no affect on your blood pressure if you don't have much stress in your life.
