Overcoming RA - playing guitar
Diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) in March 2014 I thought I could never play the classical guitar again. But with great help from the staff at Gloucester Royal Hospital I won the battle, keeping the disease under control. I learned this piece 38 years ago at school. Yes it is full of mistakes, but I'm so pleased I can just play. If a friend, family member or colleague is suffering with RA please show them this video. My hands where almost useless at the start - I could not write my name, or type at a keyboard and needed both hands to hold a cup of coffee. But I won the battle to get enough finger flexibility to play guitar again. If I can do it so can you. Look at my left hand - the fingers are still stiff but I stretch them each day. I need to practice more and if you want I will record again when I can play better. regards Paul PS I forgot to tune the guitar!

Arthritis In Hands - Critical Basics To Know If You Want To Be Pain Free
Arthritis in the hands comes in two forms: Osteoarthritis (OA) Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) As long as no irreversible damage has happened to the joint(s), both OA and RA are 100% reversible. Your doctors don't believe that (for some mind-boggling crazy reason), but they should. When doctors tell you your arthritis is due to 'age', that's a clear sign that they aren't going to have any solutions for you. And the $40+ billion in annual sales anti-arthritic drug industry doesn't cure arthritis in the hands...at best it supresses the symptoms. Some people think that getting rid of the problem is far better than taking drugs for the rest of one's life that just minimize the symptoms. Both kinds of arthritis show up for specific reasons. Reverse those reasons and the hand arthritis goes away. Find Our More At https://www.TendonitisExpert.com/arthritis-in-hands.html

My Dad, The Incredible
25 years of Rheumatoid Arthritis have left my dad, John Barron, with two very crippled hands. He can hardly hold a fork, but with the help of a special guitar pick that straps to his thumb, and daily practice, my dad can still play some serious guitar! This song, "Quantamundo" was written by John Barron. He also produced and arranged the background accompaniment.

My Attempt at Comfy Numb
First upload to the TooB. Just got a new guitar and I have been working on this peice for ages, its not perfect, I had to record and then mix it over the backing track. I have done both solo`s the second is better than the first due to my playing and the sound mix is a bit off. I have had Rheumatoid Arthritis for 3 years now and its getting harder to play so Im probably on the downward slide, but I will keep going and try to upload when I can. Any feedback would be great even the negative, it would also be cool if like minded ppl could drop a msg and maybe we can do some sort of online jam or pre record some bits and peices and tack them together. Anywayz Merry Xmas all, thank you and goodbye for now :)

Ukulele Chord Changer Review - For Players With Hand/Finger Problems
I got hold of a uke chord changer recently for my dad who suffers with rheumatoid arthritis quite badly in his hands. I thought I'd make a quick video showing the chord changer in action for anyone that has issues with their hand and would still like to have a go at playing the ukulele. Definitely worth a look in my opinion. There's a bit more info over on my website http://ukulelego.com/gear/ukulele-chord-changer-review/

I Needed Surgery To Remove Something Growing In My Fretting Hand!
I recently experienced a guitar players nightmare when I found something growing in my left ring finger at the joint that I use to bar certain chords with. I discovered it one day when I bared a chord and felt the pain from it for the first time. It was growing really fast and taking over the entire joint on the palm side of my hand. I was warned that it was a tumor and should have it removed, so I did. As you can imagine I have lost quite a bit of dexterity in that finger for now plus I'm getting rheumatoid arthritis in my middle finger, same joint so my guitar playing is probably permanently diminished.

Glenn Frey Dead! "Eagles Guitarist' Dies at 67! FULL DETAILS! - Tribute Video #RIPGlennFrey
Glenn Frey, co-founder and guitarist for the Eagles, has died. We're told the cause of death was a combination of complications from rheumatoid arthritis, acute ulcerative colitis, and pneumonia. Frey had been battling intestinal issues for months and had surgery in November. We're told in the last few days his condition took a turn for the worse. He died in New York City. Glenn co-wrote and sang on most of the Eagles hits, including "Take It Easy," "Tequila Sunrise," "Lyin' Eyes," and "Heartache Tonight," to name a few. He also co-wrote "Hotel California" and "Desperado" with Don Henley and took home 6 Grammys with the band. After the Eagles' 1980 breakup, Glenn launched a successful solo career, recording numerous hits ... most notably "The Heat Is On" and "You Belong to the City." Glenn also got into acting, snagging a recurring role on "Miami Vice." He reunited with the Eagles in '94 for their monster Hell Freezes Over tour and recorded music till the end, releasing what would be his fifth and final solo LP, "After Hours," in 2012. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer had been fighting intestinal issues for awhile but his condition relapsed before the holidays, forcing the Eagles to pull out of their Kennedy Center Honors appearance in December. At the time, the band said he needed major surgery that would require a lengthy recovery. Don Henley said, "He was like a brother to me; we were family, and like most families, there was some dysfunction. But the bond we forged 45 years ago was never broken." He added "We built something that has lasted longer than anyone could have dreamed. But Glenn was the one who started it all. It will be very strange going forward in a world without him in it. But I will be grateful, every day, that he was in my life. Rest in peace, my brother. You did what you set out to do, and then some." Glenn was 67. RIP.

10 Things You Did Not Know About Glenn Frey And The Eagles (Tribute Video)
1. Glenn Lewis Frey was born on November 6. 1948 in Detroit, Michigan. Although you may think of him as being one of the best guitar player, his musician career started by playing the piano at the young age of 5. He later switched to guitar and became part of the mid-1960s Detroit rock scene. 2. His professional carrer started when he was 19 as he was performing acoustic guitar and background vocals on Bob Seger’s single “Ramblin’ Gamblin Man” in 1968. Seger was an inspiration for Frey the whole time and he strongly encouraged him to focus on writing original songs. 3. Frey met drummer Don Henley in 1970. When Linda Ronstadt needed a backup band for a single gig, she hired Frey, Henley, Randy Meisner and Bernie Leadon on the advice of her boyfriend. Frey and Henley later jointed Ronstadt’s backup band for her 1971 summer tour. Afterwards. Frey, Henley, Meisner and Leadon formed the Eagles. with Frey playing the guitar and keyboards and Henley playing drums. 4. The Eagles broke up aroung 1980 and reunited in 1994 when the released a new album titled “Hell Freezes Over”. Don have been asked a lot of times when are the Eagles getting back together. He used to answer “When Hell frezzes over”. People always thought that Don and Glenn were always fighting. At their first live concert of 1994. Frey told the crowd. “For the record, we never broke up. We just took a 14-year vacation” 5. Frey was married twice. From 1983 to 1988, he was married to Janie Beggs. Not after a long time, in 1990 he married Cindy Milican in 1990. They had three children, a daughter Taylor and two sons Deacon and Otis. 6. Glenn Frey also starred in several TV Shows like Miami Vice, South of Sunset and Nash Bridges. People loved him for his acting talent, but Frey had to focus on on his musician carrer so he and the Eagles became one of the biggest rock band in history. 7. Some of your favourite movies have featured Glenn’s songs. His record is illustrious: “The Heat Is On,” and “Smugglers Blues” from Beverly Hills Cop, “Flip City” from Ghostbusters II, and “Part of Me, Part of You” from Thelma & Louise. 8. Throughout his career, Glenn won six Grammy Awards, and five American Music Awards. Damn! He was inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in 1988 with the Eagles. As a member of the Eagles, in combination with his solo career, he had 24 singles land on the Top 40 Billboard chart. 9. The Eagles notched up more than 150 million album sales worldwide, with Hotel California and their greatest hits among the best selling in history.
