How to Fix Wrist Pain | Working Out (6 WAYS!)
Build muscle and end joint pain - http://athleanx.com/x/athlete Subscribe to this channel here - http://bit.ly/2b0coMW Wrist pain during workouts is one of the most common joint ailments you can experience. In this video, I’m going to show you how to fix workout related wrist pain by going over the best ways to address joint and muscle causes as well as things you can do on specific exercises. To start, I think it is beneficial to try and pinpoint where in your wrist you are feeling pain. For example if you feel wrist soreness on the back side of your wrist in the area of the carpal bones, then you are likely dealing with an impingement or joint immobility issue rather than a muscular one. Here you would want to incorporate the joint mobilization for your wrist to help restore normal extension. This simple wrist mobilization is one that you can do yourself with no equipment at all. Simply squeeze your wrist with your thumb and forefinger and distract that carpal bones just enough to clear the end of the radius. From here, glide the wrist radially and move your wrist into extension by pushing the hand palm down into a bench. You should not experience pain when you do this. Do it for a few reps and then retest your range of motion and you should notice that it has improved significantly. If on the other hand your discomfort is more on the underside of your forearm and tends to run up and down the forearm when your wrist is bent backwards, then this is more indicative of a muscle tightness. Here you don’t only want to just stretch the muscles of the forearm by bending your wrist back and keeping your fingers straight but you want to manipulate the tissues themselves with some myofascial release. You can do this by pressing your forearm into a solid surface (like a squat rack upright) and then flossing the muscles through the compressed area by moving the wrist around in circles as well as back and forth into flexion and extension. Do this until you feel the pain subside in your forearms. The next step once you have addressed the type of pain that you feel in your wrists when working out is to identify the specific exercises that you get soreness in when you lift. The most common ones that I covered in this video are the bench press, pushups, bicep curls and the front and back squats. Each one of them demands a little something different than the others and therefore must be addressed individually. Through some fine tuned careful changes in the position of the grip or the placement of the bar in your hands, you will see that you are able to correct the pain that you are feeling without diminishing the effectiveness of the exercises. This is the same approach that we use that has led to ATHLEAN-X becoming the go to choice for professional athletes in their training and workouts. My 12 yr old son loves it. SPICE CUP: 1 TBS Corn starch, 1 tsp onion powder, 2 tsp paprika, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp sugar. You also need: 1 lb hamb, 2 cups milk, 1 cup water, 1.5 cups elbow noodles, 1 cup (5 oz shredded cheese), chopped onion, and minced garlic. START DATE ON WEIGHT WATCHERS: September 19, 2016 Startng weight: 325.6 Current weight: 293.6 Total weight loss so far: 32.0 pounds! Read what they have to say… “Who are you?” I am a professional running coach. I am a 50 year old man who loves great restaurants. I am a 38 year old who is now cancer free. I am a college student. I am a 43 year old mom with 2 teenagers who have completely different eating habits than I do. I am single and work way too many hours. I am in my late 30s and initially came to Lauren while undergoing IVF. “Why did you start Foodtraining? What were your goals?” I had gained weight due to my work hours. As a former competitive runner, I felt it was time to do something about it. I wanted to lose about 20 pounds that had snuck back on over the years. Over my seven years working with Foodtrainers, I have had 3 different goals: weight loss, prenatal nutrition and marathon training. I wanted to eat healthier and lower my cholesterol. I was working out a lot but not losing any weight. I recently went from working constantly to being out of work. I wanted to use my time off to focus on my health. “What were the keys to Foodtraining for you?” Keeping my food log, every time I went for an Oreo or to finish my kids’ meals, I stopped because I didn’t want to record it. Knowing I have a plan I can stick with no matter where I am on vacation or at a restaurant. Accessibility was important to me, I often email questions between apointments. My sessions with Lauren provide time to refocus and reset my goals and reset myself. Going on a market foodtraining session and learning to cook a bit more. Being accountable through weekly appointments, I had someone to answer to. Using “special days” or the tricks Lauren implemented to break plateaus and prevent bordedom. Consuming foods that were desirable to eat, not diet foods. Foodtrainers is incredibly personalized. I have many friends and colleagues who are clients and everyone has a different plan and shopping list. The one-on-one counseling, we can get at my own issues (both physical and emotional). “What did you accomplish?” I lost 11 pounds in 10 weeks and inches from waist, hips thighs and arms. I lowered my cholesterol, improved my eating and lost 10 pounds gradually. I had a very healthy pregnancy, gaining 45 lbs. with twins. I started to run seriously again, lots of races, 1/2 marathons, a marathon. When I lose weight with Lauren the weight stays off. I learned to change my habits permanently. I have implemented structure with my new schedule and feel more in control. I believe that the eating choices I made during my pregnancy will have a positive impact on my children’s health. I have cut out most processed foods and almost all artificial sweeteners. I lost 6 pounds (so far) and feel much lighter. I am much more conscious of my eating, especially when I am in a restaurant. Foodtrainers helped me realize there is more to food than just avoiding it. “How do you feel?” Overall so much better and I have more energy and vitality. And wow! I look great again in my clothes. Great! I have never eaten better and I’m happy I don’t have to eat separate meals from my family anymore. I am more in control and I can deal with stressful situations with a clearer head. PM Shri Narendra Modi interacts with ASHA, ANM and Anganwadi workers via video conferencing Courtesy: DD News The Prime Minister interacted with the team of three As- the ASHA worker, Anganwadi worker and ANM (Auxiliary Nurse Midwife) from across the country through video conferencing. He appreciated their effort to work together, to use innovative means and technology, to improve the delivery of health and nutrition services and achieve the goal of POSHAN Abhiyan- reduction of malnutrition in the country. Prime Minister recognised the contribution of grass-root health workers and thanked them for their efforts in building strong and healthy nation. The interaction was organised as part “poshan Maah”, being observed this month. The programme is aimed towards taking the message of nutrition to every household. Highlighting the National Nutrition Mission, PM said that ‘Poshan Abhiyaan’ launched from Jhunjhunu in Rajasthan, targets reduction in incidence of stunting, anaemia, malnutrition and low birth weight. He added that it is essential to involve maximum women and children with this movement. PM said that the Government has focussed on aspects relating to nutrition and quality healthcare. Vaccination efforts are progressing at a quick pace, helping women and children in particular. The health workers and beneficiaries across the country shared their experiences with PM. Prime Minister appreciated the efforts and dedication of the team three ‘A’ - ASHA, ANM and Anganwadi workers for effective implementation of the Mission Indradhanush and for providing vaccination cover to more than 3 lakh pregnant women and 85 crore children. During the interaction, Prime Minister urged to spread further information about Surakshit Matritva Abhiyaan. PM also acclaimed the success of Newborn care, which benefits 1.25 million children of the country every year. It has been renamed as Home based child care under which the Asha worker will visit 11 times in first 15 month in place of earlier 6 visits in first 42 days of birth. PM highlighted the link between the health and the growth of the nation; he said if the children of the country are weak then its growth would also slow down. For any infant first thousand days of life is very crucial. Nutritious food, dietary habits during this time, decide how its body will become, how it will be in reading and writing and how strong it will be mentally. If a citizen of the country is healthy, no one can stop the development of the country. So, in the initial thousand days, efforts are being made for developing a strong mechanism to secure the future of the country. It is also noteworthy that according to WHO report, use of toilets under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan has potential to save 3 lakh innocent life. PM once again congratulated the fellow citizen for their dedication towards cleanliness. Prime Minister also mentioned about the first beneficiary of Ayushman Bharat, baby Karishma also famous as Ayushman baby. He added that she has become the symbol of hope for more than 10 crore families who are going to benefit by launch of Ayushman Bharat from Ranchi on 23rd of this month. The Prime Minister announced the doubling of routine incentives given by the Union Government to ASHA workers. In addition, all ASHA workers and their helpers would be provided free insurance cover under Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Prime Minister Suraksha Bima Yojana. Prime Minister also announced significant increase in the honorarium given to Anganwadi workers. Those receiving Rs. 3000 so far, would now receive Rs. 4500. Similarly those receiving Rs. 2200, would now get Rs. 3500. The honorarium for Anganwadi helpers has also been increased from Rs. 1500 to Rs. 2250. Courtesy: pib.nic.in

Transcript: Hi, I'm Lorie Marrero and today's Clutter Video Tip is about clothing accessories. I'm here at The Container Store in Austin, Texas and I wanted to show you a few of my favorite products that I really enjoy using in almost every closet that I organize. First, wow, what a surprise, look at this great product on the shelf! This is our own product, [POP] the Simple Division Garment Organizers. They help you create sections of clothing for whatever purpose that is for you. So if you're managing clothing sizes, such as for weight gain or weight loss or maternity needs, you can create a section that says "Too Big/Too Small." You also can use these to separate your Capri pants from your regular pants on the hanger, or in a children's closet situation you might have school uniforms that you want to separate from the regular play clothes. This is a scarf organizer. This is one of my favorite things. It's very thin, fits right in between the clothes [POP] and you can fit lots of scarves in here. It says up to 28 scarves -- I think maybe you can even squeeze in some more if you wanted to. And you have again visibility, like we always say; you want to have visibility to all of your things as a goal of your organizing projects. Another thing I like is just a simple set of hooks for belts or ties. This is one example, there are many like this. They just hang [POP] right along with your clothing and all of your belts and ties hang there with it. It's very easy to do, is you just pull it down, look at it, get that visibility, and put it right back. One clothing challenge that people have is [POP] hanging up clothing right out of the dryer when they don't have a lot of hanging space in the laundry room. So this is one option for that. You can hang this on a wall near the dryer or you can hang it on the back of a door. It's up and out of the way when it's not in use. And then you just fold it down, hang whatever you need, and fold it back up when you're done. I also am a fan of over-the-door products because they don't require much for installation. So this one just hooks right over your door and then obviously you can use that to hang things. It doesn't fold up out of the way, but you might not need that. And finally, another great solution for clothing for the [POP] laundry room area is this collapsible drying rack, also available at The Container Store but I wanted you to see it installed because of the way it pulls out from the wall. It holds, I believe, about 20 or 30 pounds of wet clothing, which is great for your delicate items or your fitness wear that can't go into the dryer. Weight Loss Vlog Weigh In & My Fitness Pal
Ok so am back to give you all an update on what is going on with me and how I am doing on my Weight Loss Journey. Another weigh in of course and even with the dreaded Aunt FLO I was able to lose weight which is an awesome feeling in itself. I am also going to try out the App My Fitness Pal to see how it compares to the Weight Watchers App. I started using it yesterday and so far LOVE it. There are even some cool features that Weight Watchers App doesnt have which is great. I will talk about all that in my next VLOG for sure so stay tuned. Thought comparing it would be great for those that cant afford the Weight Watcher plan since My Fitness Pal is FREE.
