It is used by our bodies to make bile acids, vitamin D and also plays a role in maintaining hormone levels. For our bodies to function properly, it is important that we have healthy levels of cholesterol. When we have high cholesterol levels and more cholesterol in our blood than is needed, this can be problematic, and lead to health complications. High cholesterol levels are especially troublesome since its symptoms are not easily detected, and they will have to be checked by your doctor. Having high cholesterol levels can lead to a number of different ailments, including plaque build up i the arteries, gallstones, heart attacks, heart disease and decreased blood flow and circulation. Fortunately, we can make dietary changed can decrease high cholesterol levels, along with a change in lifestyle and exercise. Lets discuss some foods that can help to decrease cholesterol levels in the body. 1. First, almonds can help to lower cholesterol levels in the body. Not only that, but they work to reduce “bad” LDL cholesterol while raising “good” HDL cholesterol and are also a great source of healthy unsaturated fats. As well, almonds work to make LDL cholesterol less likely to oxidize. When it does oxidize, this leads to a clogging of the arteries and restricts blood flow to important organs.Try not to overeat almonds for these benefits. 2. Oatmeal can also be helpful for lowering high cholesterol levels when consumed consistently. Oats are a great source of soluble fibre. This fibre forms a gel when you eat it that helps to prevent the absorption of cholesterol into the bloodstream. You can also add fibre rich nuts or fruit like apples to increase the fibre levels of this cholesterol friendly food. 3. Olive oil is also beneficial for lowering high cholesterol levels. As we have discussed in previous videos, this oil is great for your overall heart heath. It is packed with antioxidants and monounsaturated fats that will lower LDL cholesterol and increase HDL cholesterol as studies have indicated. As well, olive oil is a great source of phenolics, a plant substance that can help prevent the blood from clotting. 1 or 2 tablespoons of olive oil a day is all you need for these benefits. 4. Blueberries are an incredible superfood that provide many nutrients and health benefits. One of these benefits is that they can help to keep our arteries clear and prevent clogging by reducing LDL cholesterol in the blood. This is because blueberries work to promote and support the overall function of our liver, which can work to eliminate and remove unneeded cholesterol from our bodies. 5. High cholesterol levels can also be decreased if you consume tomatoes on a consistent basis. They contain great amounts of lycopene which may reduce LDL cholesterol levels in the body. Research has indicated that when we consume lycopene-rich foods like tomatoes, it can inhibit overall LDL production, and also help break down this fat so that is does not build up in the arteries. 6. Lastly, avocados are great for our heart health and also reduce bad cholesterol levels in the body. They are considered a superfood by many individuals. They contain great amounts of heart-healthy monounsaturated fats that not only reduce LDL cholesterol, but also reduce triglycerides and increase healthy cholesterol. They also contain healthy amounts of antioxidants and nutrients which will help to promote our overall health. Thank you for watching the video! Please like, comment and share. Say Goodbye Cholesterol With This 8 Foods That Lower Cholesterol

03:14
http://serious-fitness-programs.com/weightloss Follow Us On Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/TheSeriousfitness Individuals that are overweight and obese are more prone to cardiovascular diseases because of the high cholesterol level in their blood. Therefore, it is recommended that they lose some weight to help reduce their cholesterol level. To help keep cholesterol low, it is important to eat a healthy diet that is low in unsaturated fat. However, cholesterol levels can be reduced when you include the following super 8 foods that lower cholesterol. 1. Oats: Having a bowl of oatmeal or oat-based cereal for breakfast is an easy first step to improving your cholesterol. It provides you with 1g to 2g of soluble fiber and an extra 0.5g each if you add a banana or some strawberries. The daily recommendation for fiber is 20 to 30 grams with 5 to 10 grams obtained from soluble fiber. 2. Barley and other whole grains: These assist in lowering the risk of cardiovascular diseases, just like oats and oat bran, mostly through their supply of soluble fiber. 3. Nuts: Nuts are rich in fiber, vegetable protein, healthy fats, vitamin E, potassium, magnesium, natural plant sterols and many other plant nutrients that are beneficial. Taking about 30-35g of nuts daily could lower cholesterol by up to 5%. 4. Beans and Other Legumes: Beans, lentils, peas and peanuts are also super sources of soluble fiber. According to a study published in The Journal of Nutrition (November 2007), it was discovered that eating half a cup of cooked dried pinto beans (2 grams of soluble fiber) every day for 12 weeks consistently decreased LDL cholesterol by almost 7%. 5. Soy: Soy is another super food that is high in fiber, low in saturated fat and free of cholesterol. It is the only complete plant-based protein, which implies that it’s an equal swap for animal sources like meat and dairy. Substituting foods that are high in saturated fat with daily Soy intake has the ability to lower LDL cholesterol by almost 8 to 10% - according to a study published in The Journal of Nutrition (2010). 6. Vegetable oils: Another way to reduce cholesterol is by cooking with liquid vegetable oils such as sunflower, canola, safflower and others instead of butter or lard. 7. Citrus fruits, Grapes, Apples and Strawberries: These fruits are very rich in pectin, a type of soluble fiber that helps lower LDL. 8. Avocados: Avocados contain monounsaturated fats that help in lowering LDL and increasing HDL, most especially in persons with mildly elevated cholesterol. Add a few slices of avocados to salads and sandwiches, or mash with garlic, salsa and lemon juice for a great guacamole. There are many other foods that lower cholesterol levels but these eight are a good place to start if you are dedicated to forming eating habits that are healthy. Generally, stay away from unsaturated fats and eat more of fiber, Omega-3 and monounsaturated fats, - doing this will definitely help improve your cholesterol level. 🍐 Most Powerful Fruit Lowers Your Cholesterol In Only 7 Days - Clinically Proven!

03:55
Discover the REAL cause of high cholesterol and a simple formula my parent’s have used since 1999 to lower their cholesterol naturally: 👉 http://drsam.co/yt/CholesterolSecret Or you can watch this video: http://drsam.co/yt/WorstFoodsForCholesterol References: 1. https://www.avocadocentral.com/nutrition/avocado-nutrition-health-facts-label 2. Arch. med. Res. 1996:27(4);519-523 3. Journal of the American Heart Association 2015; 4:e001355 4. http://www.naturalnews.com/029202_olive_oil_smoke_point.html ======================================= 🍐 Avocado - The Most Powerful Fruit To Lower Your Cholesterol In Only 7 Days - Clinically Proven! ======================================= Now if you’ve been following my work, watching my videos or reading my articles, you’d know that I’m not a big fan of fruit because of the sugar content. This is because the fructose sugar in fruits, can actually increase your blood pressure and cholesterol levels, while also increasing your risk for diabetes. All bad for your heart. Anyway, if fruit isn’t really that good for your health - then why am I promoting “fruit” in today’s topic? Well, the fruit I’m referring to is an Avocado! Now, most people call it a vegetable because it’s green. However, the avocado is technically a fruit, and even more specifically, a single-seeded berry. Personally, I categorize an avocado under FATS because one medium size avocado (150 grams) has about1: 240 calories 12 calories (3 grams) from protein 12 calories (3 grams + 9 grams fiber) from carbohydrates 216 of calories (24 grams) being from fat (90% of the calories) Now, the TYPE of fat is the key to avocado’s “cholesterol lowering” secret and I’ll get to that in a minute. As far as clinical proof for improving your cholesterol… One study2 saw a 16% decrease in total cholesterol after only 7 days of a diet high in monounsaturated fat from avocados and a 22% decrease of both the “bad” LDL-cholesterol and triglycerides, along with an 11% increase the “good” HDL cholesterol. In a second study3, the participants saw an average drop of 14 points in “bad” LDL cholesterol with a higher avocado diet The “Secret” Heart-Healthy Fat Now, the reason for avocado’s working so well is that 66% of the fat is from monounsaturated fats!1 Most people like olive oil as the main source of monounsaturated fats. However, I don’t because most olive oil is rancid and processed. It’s “fake”. Most of the healthier, “extra virgin oils” break down at a lower heat temperature and thus, it’s best kept UNCOOKED and eaten raw. My favorite monounsaturated fat to cook with is macadamia oil because it’s not processed very much and also has a high heat capacity, so it’s great for cooking.4 Summary So if you want a healthier heart and lower your cholesterol, decrease your sugars and increase healthy monounsaturated fats from my favorite heart-healthy fruit, an avocado! ======================================== Thank you for watching. ► 5 Worst High Cholesterol Foods You Must Avoid [Clinically Proven]

05:39
See how my parents lowered their cholesterol by 30 pts in 30 days - no diets or drugs: ►►►http://drsam.co/yt/StartLoweringYourCholesterolNaturally =============================== 5 Worst High Cholesterol Foods You Must Avoid [Clinically Proven] =============================== Cholesterol has many benefits and it’s definitely NOT your “enemy”. In fact, “low” cholesterol is just as bad as “high” cholesterol levels. However, there are certain foods that are really bad for you and can quickly increase your “bad” cholesterol levels and dramatically increase your risk for heart disease, a heart attack or stroke. Under this video I’ve got a special bonus video about how you can quickly lower your cholesterol levels in less than 30 days, naturally - without changing your diet or exercising. So make sure you take a look... However, let’s first start with the 5 worsts, clinically proven - “high cholesterol” foods that you must avoid! Dairy I’ve been saying this for over 2 decades - Milk is for babies and cow milk is for baby cows! Additionally, 99% of dairy products are pasteurized, which kills any benefits milk could have. Not to mention, the toxins, hormones and drugs these animals are given are highly concentrated in the milk - which goes inside of YOU! All of these factors, plus the saturated fat inside milk, increases your cholesterol and stresses your liver. It doesn’t matter if it’s whole, low or nonfat dairy, it’s all the same. Unfortunately, this also includes two of my favorite foods, ice cream and cheese! Fast Foods It doesn’t matter if it’s a burger, tacos, french fries, pizza or anything else - they’re all high in carbohydrates, hydrogenated and saturated fats, using unhealthy and toxic proteins. It’s cheap food. It may be easy and good for your wallet, but it’s bad for your health and cholesterol levels and you’ll pay the price later in life. Animal Protein The saturated fats and “marble fat” found in meat, pork, poultry and shell-fish is horrible for your health and cholesterol levels. I’ve noticed even grass-fed meat and free-range poultry can still cause high cholesterol in some of my patients, especially the “sensitive” ones. Limit your intake and focus more on vegetable proteins and fish - especially wild-caught salmon. Eggs Eggs can be good or bad. All the cholesterol and fat is located in the egg YOLK, which is why most “experts” say you should only consume egg whites. However, most of the nutrients, antioxidants and half the essential amino acids (protein) are also found in the yolk. The problem is when you COOK the yolk - such as hard-boiled, scrambled and fried eggs. The heat oxidizes the egg and damages both the structure of the protein and fat. So the healthiest way to eat eggs is raw or lightly cooked, so the yolk is still runny. Don’t fry it with butter or vegetable fats. And make sure it’s organic, free-range eggs. Baked Foods/Carbs (Snacks Too) Baked foods such as muffins, cakes, breads, donuts, croissants, rolls, cookies, danishes, scones, pie, etc… The types of foods most people eat in the morning when they’re in a rush, or with their coffee or at work as a snack… These are all bad because they contain hydrogenated and saturated fats, as well as dairy. Not to mention, they’re high in simple carbohydrates and sugars. “Bad” fats increase cholesterol. “Bad” fats + carbs/sugar REALLY increase your cholesterol and lead to numerous health issues. The combination is super unhealthy. Under this same category -- “Snack Foods” such as chips, pretzels, crackers and similar items are almost as bad as these bakes foods. Magical drink to reduce cholesterol in 2 weeks. With Only Half Cup A Day You Will Lower Your Cholesterol and Lose Belly Fat Like Crazy!!! With Only 3 Tablespoons A Day You Will Lower Your Cholesterol and Lose Belly Fat Like Crazy!!! Cholesterol is a fatty substance made by your body and found in certain foods. Your body needs some cholesterol in order to function properly, but having too much (high cholesterol) puts you at risk for having a heart attack or stroke. The extra cholesterol that isn’t used by your body builds up in blood vessel walls, causing blockages. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), having high cholesterol doubles your risk of heart disease. Total cholesterol = LDL + HDL + Triglycerides  LDL (low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, also called "bad" cholesterol) HDL (high-density lipoprotein cholesterol, also called "good" cholesterol) Triglycerides (fats carried in the blood from the food we eat. Excess calories, alcohol, or sugar in the body are converted into triglycerides and stored in fat cells throughout the body.) The good news is that lifestyle changes are effective in helping you reduce cholesterol levels. They’re also fairly straightforward and can be done at any age. Exercise: Physical activity helps you lose weight and boosts your HDL levels. Aim for 30 to 60 minutes a day of moderate cardio. Eat more fiber: Replace white breads and pastas with whole grains. Eat healthy fats: Olive oil, avocado, and nuts all have fats that won’t raise your LDL. Limit cholesterol intake: Reduce the amount of high-saturated fat foods like cheese, whole milk, and high-fat red meats. Quit smoking. It’s important to remember that everyone is different. Family history and whether or not you have other conditions, such as diabetes, plays a role in your individual risks. Talk to your doctor about your cholesterol levels and ask what he or she thinks your numbers should be. how to reduce cholesterol quickly how to lower cholesterol without medication lower cholesterol diet how to lower your cholesterol in 2 days supplements to lower cholesterol how to reduce cholesterol naturally home remedies foods to avoid with high cholesterol how to control cholesterol in indian diet how to prevent heart attack with food how to prevent heart attack naturally how to avoid heart attack while sleeping how to prevent heart attack when alone how to prevent a heart attack while it's happening how to prevent heart attack at night how to prevent heart attack from happening how to avoid heart attack symptoms how to prevent a stroke naturally foods that prevent stroke how to stop a stroke in progress how to prevent a stroke after a mini stroke how to prevent a stroke aspirin how to prevent a stroke or heart attack how to prevent a stroke from happening again stroke prevention diet To view more, click here: https://goo.gl/ONjJau SUBSCRIBE: Click here: https://goo.gl/wsOEBM Connect with me on: Email: muskaanhamad@gmail.com Muskaan Science Academy: https://goo.gl/ndG6eG Google Plus: https://goo.gl/6bNOp4 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/muskaan.hamad Blog: http://beautyandmakeuptips2016.blogspot.com/ Tumblr: https://naturalhomeremedies.tumblr.com/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/muskaanhamad/ Vine: Search "Muskaan Hamad" on vine! 10 FOODS That Naturally Lower Your CHOLESTEROL Levels - Effective Ways Low Down High Cholesterol

17:10
Top 10 Foods That Naturally Lower Your Cholesterol - Low down your high cholesterol naturally with foods. If your diet gave you high cholesterol, it can lower it, too It's easy to eat your way to an alarmingly high cholesterol level. The reverse is true, too — changing what you eat can lower your cholesterol and improve the armada of fats floating through your bloodstream. Doing this requires a two-pronged strategy: Add foods that lower LDL, the harmful cholesterol-carrying particle that contributes to artery-clogging atherosclerosis. At the same time, cut back on foods that boost LDL. Without that step, you are engaging in a holding action instead of a steady — and tasty — victory. Thank you for watching. 100% Natural Ways To Lower Cholesterol And Prevent Heart disease

03:33
Cholesterol is made in your liver and has many important functions. For example, it helps keep the walls of your cells flexible and is needed to make several hormones. However, like anything in the body, too much cholesterol in the wrong places creates problems. Like fat, cholesterol does not dissolve in water. Instead, its transport in the body depends on molecules called lipoproteins, which carry cholesterol, fat and fat-soluble vitamins in the blood. Different kinds of lipoproteins have different effects on health. For example, high levels of low-density lipoprotein (LDL) result in cholesterol deposits in blood vessel walls, which can lead to clogged arteries, strokes, heart attacks and kidney failure. In contrast, high-density lipoprotein (HDL) helps carry cholesterol away from vessel walls and helps prevent these diseases. Here are 6 natural ways to increase the “good” HDL cholesterol and lower the “bad” LDL cholesterol. 1.Focus on Monounsaturated Fats Monounsaturated fats may reduce the oxidation of lipoproteins, which contributes to clogged-arteries. Monounsaturated fats are healthy because they decrease harmful LDL cholesterol, increase good HDL cholesterol and reduce harmful oxidation. few great sources of monounsaturated fats are: olive-oil, canola-oil, tree nuts and avocados. 2.Eat Soluble Fiber Soluble fiber is a group of different compounds in plants that dissolve in water and that humans can’t digest. However, the beneficial bacteria that live in your intestines can digest soluble-fiber. In fact, they require it for their own nutrition. These good-bacteria, also called probiotics, reduce both harmful kinds of lipoproteins, LDL and VLDL. 3.Limit your intake of foods full of saturated fats and trans fats. Foods with a lot of saturated fat include butter, fatty flesh like red-meat, full-fat and low-fat dairy products, palm-oil, and coconut-oil. If you see partially hydrogenated fat in the Ingredient List of a food label, that food has trans fats. 4.Exercise Exercise is a win-win for heart health. Not only does it improve physical fitness and help combat obesity, but it also reduces harmful LDL and increases beneficial HDL. In one study, twelve weeks of combined aerobic and resistance exercise reduced the especially harmful oxidized LDL in 20 overweight women. While even low-intensity exercise like walking increases HDL, making your exercise longer and more intense increases the benefit. 5.Lose Weight Dieting influences the way your body absorbs and produces cholesterol. Weight loss reduces total cholesterol, in part by decreasing the creation of new cholesterol in the liver. Weight loss has had different, though generally beneficial, effects on HDL and LDL in different studies. 6.Choose protein-rich plant foods Choose protein-rich plant foods such as legumes or beans, nuts, and seeds over meat. Common legumes include lentils, peas, and beans, such as pinto beans, red beans, white beans, and soybeans. They’re full of nutritional riches and are a very healthy, protein-packed alternative to meat. Legumes help lower total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, blood sugar, and insulin levels, and may even lower cancer risk.

Foods that lower cholesterol fast - Eat These 4 Foods Every Day To Lower Your Cholesterol

05:44
Foods that lower cholesterol fast - Eat These 4 Foods Every Day To Lower Your Cholesterol Eat These 4 Foods Every Day To Lower Your Cholesterol What is cholesterol and what is its significance in your life? The fats in your blood have waxy substance in it known as cholesterol. Unfortunately, you can inherit high cholesterol. You can prevent it from getting worse, though, by working out or refraining from smoking. Eating a balanced diet is the best way to keep your cholesterol levels in check. Read on to find out what foods to eat to ensure your cholesterol levels stay within normal range. 1. Whole grains Examples of grain products are any food made from corn, oats, rice, wheat, or another cereal or grain. You can keep your cholesterol levels low by consuming a diet rich in brown rice, oatmeal, quinoa, rye, wild rice, and whole wheat. Whole grains are an excellent source of important vitaminssuch as folate, niacin, thiamin, and vitamin B2. Your blood will no longer be depleted of oxygen as whole grain increases iron levels. It is crucial that your iron levels are high since your body already struggles in transporting oxygen-rich blood because of your narrowed blood vessels. Hence, eating foods rich in viscous fiber like barley and oats can make all the difference. Why? They lower down LDL cholesterol levels (a.k.a. bad cholesterol) and the blood pressure aside from improving insulin response and glucose levels. You can also benefit from the prebiotic effect you can get from grains rich in insoluble fiber such aswheat because it normalizes blood pressure and glucose levels. You should never skip breakfast if you want your cholesterol levels to remain in normal range. Doing so likewise lowers down your caloric requirement for the entire day. Studies support this notion as your cholesterol levels can drop by4.6 points if you consume a lot of whole grains and a further 6.5 point reduction if you eat a lot of oats. The Apple-Cinnamon Granola is a great recipe for starters. Protect your heart and still be able to enjoy a tasty treat. It is better to make your own granola at home rather than purchase commercially sold ones to ensure it is low in sugar and thus healthy for your heart. 2. Apples The doctors were never wrong in promoting daily apple intake as it was also found that it is also helpful in keeping bad cholesterol at bay. It makes for a sweet snack as it contains antioxidants and pectin that reduces inflammation and reduce LDL cholesterol levels. These two conditions predispose you to premature aging and a long list of chronic and debilitating ailments. Aside from antioxidants, apples are also a good source of vitamins A and C that are helpful against deadly free radicals. FYI, free radicals are molecular by-products of digestion. Apple is also a good source of soluble fiber that helps in reducing blood sugar levels along with that of cholesterol.I 3. Garlic Not exactly the most pleasant scent you want to smell, garlic works wonder in fighting oxidation and reducing inflammation.Naturally rich in antioxidants, garlic fights oxidation thereby preventing the cells from getting damaged. It is also effective in stabilizing cholesterol and triglyceride levels, common complaints among the elderly. Mixingabout 20 grams of crushed garlic in lemon juice to prevent hyperlipidemia and maintain normal blood pressure, lipid, and fibrinogen levels in a group of people between the ages of 30-60 as shown in one study. 4. Dark chocolate This is perhaps the most exciting and sweetest solution to reducing high cholesterol levels. Chocolate is made of cocoa. There are certain chemicals in cocoa that protect the cells from pathogens. There was an 11% reduction of the LDL cholesterol levels among patients who participated in a study published in the Journal of Cardiovascular Pharmacology. This result has been observed 15 days after they started taking 100 grams of dark chocolate daily. Take Everything in Moderation Your diet plays a huge role in maintaining normal cholesterol levels. Eating everything in moderation and preferring a diet high in healthy fruits and veggies and staying well hydrated is sometimes all you need. For better results, eat more whole grains, apple, garlic, and dark chocolate and you’ll soon start seeing positive results in your health. foods that lower cholesterol fast how to lower cholesterol cholesterol cholesterol diet how to reduce cholesterol lower cholesterol low cholesterol diet foods that lower cholesterol high cholesterol cholesterol levels how to lower your cholesterol how to lower cholesterol naturally how to control cholesterol high cholesterol foods high cholesterol diet ldl cholesterol reduce cholesterol how to reduce cholesterol naturally lower cholesterol naturally ways to lower cholesterol low cholesterol recipes how to lower cholesterol fast how to lower ldl how to reduce ldl cholesterol

Here are the top 10 super foods to lower cholesterol. 01:02 Oatmeal 02:05 Almonds 03:09 Orange Juice. 04:07 Salmon 05:06 Soybeans and Soy Products. Having a bowl of oatmeal for breakfast daily is another easy way to lower your high cholesterol level. The high soluble fiber content in oatmeal helps lower LDL. It reduces the absorption of cholesterol into your bloodstream. Fiber also fills you up quickly and helps you avoid mindless eating. The heart-healthy monounsaturated fats, polyunsaturated fats and fiber in almonds help raise good HDL cholesterol and reduce the bad LDL levels. A 2011 study published in Nutrition Review found that consumption of tree nuts like almonds help reduce LDL cholesterol, a primary target for coronary disease prevention, by 3 to 19 percent. Sweet, tangy and juicy oranges are another superfood that has cholesterol-lowering properties. In a 2000 study published in the American Society for Clinical Nutrition journal, researchers found that orange juice improves blood lipid profiles in people who have hypercholesterolemia. This happens due to the presence of vitamin C, folate and flavonoids like hesperidin in oranges. The omega-3 fatty acids called EPA and DHA found in salmon provide protection against high cholesterol. It helps lower triglycerides and boosts good HDL cholesterol slightly, thus lowering the risk of heart disease. In addition, salmon is low in cholesterol and saturated fat. Soybeans and other soy products offer a complete plant-based protein that is great for those who suffer from high cholesterol. Although soy may not lower total cholesterol to a great extent, it can still lower bad LDL cholesterol. This high-protein food contains high levels of polyunsaturated fats, fiber, vitamins and minerals as well as low levels of saturated fat. What is the BEST DRINK to LOWER CHOLESTEROL? LOWER Your CHOLESTEROL NATURALLY By Drink this DRINK!

11:12
Drinks to Lower Cholesterol. High levels of bad cholesterol and total cholesterol increase your risk of heart disease and stroke. Total cholesterol takes into account levels of both low-density lipoprotein, or bad cholesterol, and high-density lipoprotein, or good cholesterol. According to the Mayo Clinic, your diet plays a critical role in reducing cholesterol levels. Adding particular beverages to your diet may be beneficial. Green Tea Green tea contains the highest levels of antioxidants known as polyphenols. According to the University of Maryland Medical Center, several studies show that this beverage can lower LDL cholesterol and total cholesterol levels. It also boosts levels of HDL cholesterol, which sweeps bad cholesterol from your arteries. Researchers believe that green tea’s polyphenols inhibit absorption of cholesterol in the intestines and enhance its excretion from your body. Berry Juice Berries help reduce blood cholesterol levels, but some are more effective than others. In a study conducted by the University of California at Davis, researchers found that fresh berries significantly decreased LDL cholesterol. Blackberries were the most effective, followed by red raspberries, blueberries and strawberries. More research is needed to determine the amount of berries or juice people should consume to lower cholesterol. However, drinking more berry juice on a regular basis may be beneficial. Tart Cherry Juice Tart cherries are loaded with antioxidants that provide several benefits, including reducing cholesterol levels. In a study conducted at the University of Michigan Cardiovascular Center, rats that received whole tart cherry powder as part of a high-fat diet had significantly lower levels of cholesterol than other rats. Cherry juice is readily available at supermarkets and natural health stores. However, you can also make your own at home using dried cherries or cherry powder. Ginger Tea Ginger has been used medicinally for centuries to treat health problems such as nausea and diarrhea. Preliminary studies also indicate that it may also help lower cholesterol and prevent atherosclerosis, according to the University of Maryland Medical Center, which recommends not consuming more than 4g of ginger daily. Caution While green tea and ginger tea are generally safe, in some cases they may cause side effects. For instance, drinking too much green tea may cause insomnia, dizziness or irritability. Ginger tea may cause heartburn or stomach upset. Also, these drinks can interact with certain medications. Consult your doctor about consuming these drinks to control your cholesterol levels.

Reducing cholesterol naturally | An ancient Chinese method for reducing cholesterol The main ingredients of this recipe have very beneficial properties for the body and, when you combine them, you multiply their action. Cholesterol is a type of fat (also known as lipid) that your body needs to work at the optimum level. But the problem that is becoming increasingly common nowadays is that too many people are at risk from cardiovascular disease because they have high cholesterol , usually as a result of poor nutrition. In medical terms, this condition is known as lipid disorder or hypercholesterolemia. To prevent it from triggering other more serious illnesses, it is important to find a way to test it . It should also be noted that cholesterol is divided into three different categories depending on its composition. "Good" cholesterol is known as high density lipoprotein (HDL). "Bad" cholesterol is low density lipoprotein (LDL). Total cholesterol is the combination of both types. In most cases, people who have high cholesterol levels make an overly fat diet, but high cholesterol may also be due to overweight or sedentary lifestyle . Increasingly nowadays, health experts, particularly cardiovascular specialists, are calling on people to become aware of the dangers that high cholesterol may entail. That's why in today's video we'll talk about some natural treatments and habits that you can change to lower your cholesterol to more normal levels without unpleasant side effects. Traditional Chinese medicine has been used for centuries and especially one of its recipes has become popular all over the world as people try to control this important health problem. How to Lower Cholesterol: LDL vs. HDL- Thomas DeLauer

08:06
Please Be Sure to Subscribe for 3x Videos Per Week! http://www.thomasdelauer.com How to Lower Cholesterol: LDL vs. HDL- Thomas DeLauer... Good vs. Bad Cholesterol: LDL cholesterol is not bad. HDL is not cholesterol and neither is LDL. “High” and “low” refer to the relative proportion of protein to fat in the bundle. HDL stands for High Density Lipoprotein. LDL stands for Low Density Lipoprotein. (There are three other lipoproteins; chylomicrons, VLDL and IDL) Cholesterol and fat are not water-soluble so they need to be carried around the body in something to do their vital work. The carriers of such substances are called lipoproteins. (4) Lipoproteins: Lipoproteins travel round the bloodstream and act as transporters. So LDL and HDL are carriers of cholesterol, as well as triglycerides and phospholipids and proteins. LDL is the carrier of fresh cholesterol and HDL is the carrier of recycled cholesterol. VLDL, LDL, and HDL: The liver is central to the regulation of cholesterol levels in the body. Not only does it synthesize cholesterol for export to other cells, but it also removes cholesterol from the body by converting it to bile salts and putting it into the bile where it can be eliminated in the feces. Chylomicrons and VLDL deliver TAG to cells in the body. Two types of lipoproteins are triglyceride-rich: the chylomicrons and VLDL. Chylomicrons are synthesized by enterocytes from lipids absorbed in the small intestine. VLDL is synthesized in the liver. The function of these lipoproteins is to deliver energy-rich triacylglycerol (TAG) to cells in the body (pink pathway). TAG is stripped from chylomicrons and VLDL through the action of lipoprotein lipase, an enzyme that is found on the surface of endothelial cells. HDL is involved in reverse cholesterol transport. Excess cholesterol is eliminated from the body via the liver, which secretes cholesterol in bile or converts it to bile salts. The liver removes LDL and other lipoproteins from the circulation by receptor-mediated endocytosis. It travels in the circulation where it gathers cholesterol to form mature HDL, which then returns the cholesterol to the liver via various pathways. LDL delivers cholesterol to cells in the body. As VLDL particles are stripped of triacylglycerol, they become more dense. These particles are remodeled at the liver and transformed into LDL. The function of LDL is to deliver cholesterol to cells, where it is used in membranes, or for the synthesis of steroid hormones. Cells take up cholesterol by receptor-mediated endocytosis. LDL binds to a specific LDL receptor and is internalized in an endocytic vesicle. Receptors are recycled to the cell surface, while hydrolysis in an endolysosome releases cholesterol for use in the cell. LDL is what we call a carrier protein, and one of its important jobs is to carry a fundamentally important chemical to every cell in the body. This chemical is a critical component of cell membranes, serves as a brain antioxidant, and is the raw material from which your body manufactures vitamin D, cortisol, estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone. Study - The British Medical Journal (BMJ): The research team — comprised of experts from seven different countries — evaluated data collected from 19 studies on a total of 68,094 older adults. The team was seeking to determine if LDL cholesterol is associated with death in the older adults. According to the cholesterol hypothesis, it should directly relate. According to the BMJ study, it doesn’t. Researchers say almost 80 percent of the participants in the studies who had high LDL cholesterol did not die because of their cholesterol level. On the other hand, researchers discovered people with low levels of LDL cholesterol, or LDL-C, had the highest rates of death related to cardiovascular disease, the leading cause of death for both men and women in the United States.
