B12 is necessary for blood cells, energy metabolism, myelin and many other things. However, a low stomach acid can prevent the absorption of B12 so despite taking B12, nothing will work if your stomach acids are too weak. Pernicious Anemia Nursing, Pathophysiology, Symptoms, Treatment | Anemia Types NCLEX

11:26
Pernicious anemia (types of anemia) nursing, pathophysiology, symptoms, and treatment for the NCLEX exam. Pernicious anemia is a form of vitamin b 12 anemia that is an autoimmune condition where the body does not produce intrinsic factor which plays a role in absorbing vitamin b 12.The body needs vitamin b 12 to make healthy red blood cells. A protein called intrinsic factor plays a role in the body’s ability to absorb vitamin b 12. Low vitamin B12 levels lead the body to produce unhealthy red blood cells. Pernicious anemia is a type of macrocytic anemia where the red blood cell will appear very large and oval-shaped (rather than normal sized and round-shaped). Signs and symptoms of pernicious anemia include feeling very fatigued, tingling or burning in the hand or feet (also called paresthesia), red, smooth tongue, depression, loss of appetite etc. Treatment for pernicious anemia is supplementation of vitamin B 12 through intramuscular injections of vitamin B 12. Nursing care of a patient with pernicious anemia include administering vitamin B 12 injections, educating the patient about the condition and medication regime, good oral hygiene due to tongue changes, and safety precautions due to paresthesia in the hands and feet. 5 Signs And Symptoms Of IRON Deficiency YOU NEED To Know

04:00
Follow us on Twitter: @foods4health1 Recipes4Health: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC2bZhXBHIb51n1fE3VWPmcQ/videos To learn more about the health benefits of food, visit: http://www.benefitsoffood.blogspot.com If we want to be at our best when it comes to our health, it is important that we are consuming adequate nutrients. A deficiency in these nutrients can lead to certain health complications that may impact you on a day-to-day basis. This is certainly true for those individuals who suffer from iron deficiency, and are not getting adequate levels of this mineral. Iron deficiency is very common around the world, and is one of the most widespread nutrient deficiencies. When our bodies don’t have enough iron, this can lead to health complications since iron is important to get enough oxygen throughout our body. Iron is also used to make hemoglobin and impacts the red blood cells in our bodies. Lets discuss some other signs and symptoms of iron deficiency. 1. First, one of the most common signs of iron deficiency is fatigue and lack of energy. These fatigue feelings are prevalent even after getting a good nights sleep. This is because iron deficiency may cause less oxygen to reach your tissues, as mentioned previously. When there is this lack of oxygen, our bodies can be deprived of important energy to fuel us during our busy day. Not only will you feel fatigued and tired, but iron deficiency can also bring on symptoms of irritability, weakness and an inability to focus like you once did. 2. Another common iron deficiency sign or symptom is an increase in the paleness of your skin color. As mentioned previously, a deficiency in this nutrient can negatively affect hemoglobin levels in your body. Hemoglobin is responsible for giving your blood its reddish color, which provides your skin with a more rosy hue. Low levels of hemoglobin can affect this, and leave your skin looking more pale. Not just skin tone is affected from this. It can also make your gums, lips and even the bottom of your eyelids less red as well. 3. It is also common for those individuals with iron deficiency to suffer from headaches and head pain. This is because when your are iron deficient, your body will work to prioritize getting important oxygen to your brain, before it will distribute it to the rest of your bodily tissues. Even still, those with an iron deficiency will still get less oxygen in their bodies than it normally would. This lack of oxygen can cause arteries in the brain to swell, resulting in unwanted headaches and pain. 4. Iron deficiency can also negatively affect your hair. This is especially true when this deficiency progresses into iron deficiency anemia, since it can lead to hair loss in both men and women. Again, due to the bodies lack of sufficient levels of oxygen, your body will supply this oxygen to support the most vital functions of the body, which generally does not include keeping the hair healthy, strong and intact. Not only is hair loss possible, but the overall look of your hair can decrease, while becoming brittle and weak. 5. Lastly, iron deficiency can lead to increased feelings of anxiousness and worry more often. Decreased oxygen in the body, along with low levels of iron, can negatively affect your nervous system and increase anxiety. As well, low iron levels can cause your heart to race, which can increase feelings of fight-or-flight. These anxious feelings can come on even when there is nothing particularly to cause you increased anxiousness or stress. Please note, all of the above signs and symptoms should be discussed with your medical practitioner in order to determine their direct cause and and their best treatment for you. As well, you should also discuss your iron levels with your doctor, and adequate intake levels to support your health. Foods high in iron include oatmeal, spinach, various meats such as beef, chicken and liver and tofu. Thank you for watching the video! Please like, comment and share. Anemia & Hair Loss: My Story and Recovery

11:28
MEGA FOOD BLOOD BUILDER ⇨ http://amzn.to/2rjTfyC ——————————————————————————————— Iron deficiency anemia develops if your body doesn't have enough iron to build healthy red blood cells. Hemoglobin is the protein inside red blood cells that carries oxygen through the body. Oxygen helps the growth and repair of all body cells including the cells that make up hair follicles. This leads to hair thinning, hair loss and brittle nails. ——————————————————————————————— In this video, I discuss my battle with iron deficiency anemia and how I recovered. I have struggled with anemia for a good portion of my life. I have finally reached a point where I feel that I have the anemia under control. I have also found the BEST iron pills on the market that do not hurt your stomach or have painful side effects. Sometimes hair loss can be genetics but sometimes it can be caused by anemia. If you believe you may be anemic I urge you to visit a doctor and have your blood levels tested first before taking any supplements. I hope that my story was able to help at least 1 person out there. I know I have struggled for years with my hair and not knowing why it was thinning. Please share your stories, tips and advice down below! ———————————————————————————————

Take B Vitamins and Have Acne? Then You Must Watch This Video!

Multivitamins, B complex vitamins, most iron supplements, hair & nail supplements, and so many others all contain synthetic B vitamins, often in huge amounts. Interestingly, certain B vitamins are known to cause acne in susceptible people, even those with previously perfectly clear skin. I've tried B vitamins many times because I know how good they are for stress but each time they start giving me oily skin and major breakouts within a few weeks, and I'm not the only one. That's why I think it's important to share this information with you. As so many of us take some sort of B vitamins in our supplements, perhaps it could be the cause of your breakouts, too? Folate & B12 Deficiency, Megaloblastic Anemia Hypersegmented Macrocytic Methylmalonic

13:14
http://www.stomponstep1.com/folate-b12-deficiency-megaloblastic-anemia-hypersegmented/ Vitamin B9 (Folate/Folic Acid) is very important for 1 carbon chemical reactions (AKA methylation) during the creation of DNA. These functions are particularly important in tissues that undergo frequent cellular division (like hematopoietic cells) and during periods of rapid cellular division (such as infancy and pregnancy). Folate is found naturally in leafy vegetables and Folium is the Latin word for leaf. Today many grains are also fortified with Folate. With so many items having Folate added a deficiency from decreased intake of Folate is not very common. Usually a deficiency is caused by an increased demand for folate through pregnancy or hemolytic anemias such as Sickle Cell Disease. Folate deficiencies in pregnant women are linked with the occurrence of Neural Tube Defects in the fetus. A deficiency can also be caused by drugs that inhibit the pathways that Folate is involved in such as Trimethoprim (antibiotic) and Methotrexate (Chemotherapy). A Folate deficiency primarily causes anemia (decreased red blood cells). Anemias can present with a wide range of symptoms including weakness, fatigue, pale skin and shortness of breath. Folate Deficiency causes a specific type of Anemia called Macrocytic/Megaloblstic Anemia where the size (Mean Corpuscular Volume) of the red blood cells increased. This is because as the creation of DNA is inhibited the cell cycle in the hematopoietic cells is stalled. Cellular division is stopped but the cell continues to grow resulting in a smaller number of cells which are larger than normal cells. Patients with this type of anemia also often present with Hypersegmented Neutrophils on a blood smear, which is a neutrophil with 5 or more "segments" in the nucleus. You are also going to see an elevation of Homocysteine levels in Folate Deficiency. This is because B12 needs to receive a methyl group from Folate so it can pass it on to Homocysteine to create Methionine. Less Folate means B12 doesn't have a methyl group to pass on and Homocysteine builds up. Unlike B12 deficiencies, Folate deficiency does not result in a buildup of Methylmalonic Acid or neurological symptoms. Vitamin B12 (Cobalamin) is a vitamin, like Folate, that is important for 1 carbon chemical reactions. B12 is found in many animal products and Vegans are at the highest risk of deficiency. B12 taken in through the diet is bound to proteins. Stomach acid and digestive enzymes must first separate B12 from the proteins. If there is a deficiency of stomach acid due to disease or medication (like proton pump inhibitors or antacids) it can cause decreased absorption and B12 deficiency. Once it is no longer protein bound, B12 binds Intrinsic Factor which is released by the Parietal Cells in the stomach. Intrinsic Factor then chaperones the B12 to the terminal ileum where it is absorbed. Pernicious Anemia is the autoimmune destruction of parietal cells which leads to less Intrinsic Factor production. Less intrinsic factor means less B12 absorption and B12 deficiency. Damage to the terminal ileum, such as in Crohn's Disease, can also inhibit B12 absorption. Folate and B12 work closely together handing off methyl groups to each other. It is sort of like a game of hot potato. Folate doesn't "want" the methyl group so it passes it on to B12. B12 doesn't "want" it either so it passes it off to methionine. In effect, B12 helps recycle methyltetrahydrofolate back into tetrohydrofolate which can be used to create DNA. This means that a deficiency of B12 can cause a deficiency of Folate as less Folate is being recycled into its "active" form. Therefore, B12 deficiency present very similarly to Folate deficiency. You get Macrocytic/Megaloblastic Anemia with Hypersegmented Neutrophils and increased Homocysteine levels. If you mistakenly diagnose Folate Deficiency when it is really B12 Deficiency the patient will get better with Folate supplementation, but permanent neurological damage will be done overtime. Odd chain fatty acids are broken down to eventually give Methylmalonyl CoA. B12 is a cofactor in the process that converts methylmalonyl CoA into Succinyl CoA which can then be used in the TCA cycle to generate energy. If there is not enough B12 this reaction is slowed and Methylmalonic Acid builds up. This Methylmalonic Acid build up is toxic to neurons and leads to demyelination in the posterior and lateral columns of the spinal cord. This is called Subacute Combined Degeneration and presents with peripheral numbness/tingling, spasticity, and loss of vibration and proprioception.

Best time of the day to take iron supplements - Dr. Surekha Tiwari

01:16
Iron supplements do not need a time, it needs the presence of vitamin C. Any iron supplement cannot be absorbed by the body until and unless there is a backup of vitamin C in the body. A lot of research has proved this. And honestly iron being a heavy metal you cannot be taking it early in the morning. Best time to take iron supplement would be to take it in the middle of the day and ensure that there is enough vitamin C in your diet in the day. It could be in the form of orange juice, sweet lemon juice, whatever you think. If none of it please also take a vitamin C supplement to supplement the absorption of iron through the system.

5 Signs Of Vitamin Deficiency That Can be Seen On Your Face Instantly

03:09
Here are five signs of vitamin deficiencies that can be seen on your face: 1. Puffy Eyes. Do your eyes look extra puffy in the morning? Puffy eyes often indicate that you’re not getting enough sleep, but they can also be sign of low iodine levels in the body. Eat This: Cranberries, yogurt, kelp, potatoes, strawberries and navy beans. 2. Extremely Pale Skin. You might notice you’re looking a little pale in the dead of winter, but if your skin has become overly pale, it could be a sign that you’re lacking Vitamin B12. If your body isn’t getting enough B12, you’ll start to feel fatigued and your skin can suffer. Eat This: Salmon, red meat, fortified cereals, yogurt and Swiss cheese. 3. Dry Hair. Has your hair felt extra dry and brittle lately? Have you noticed a large amount of dandruff on your scalp? These could be signs that you’re lacking biotin or Vitamin B7. A biotin deficiency can be the result of using antibiotics. Eat This: Eggs, almonds, nuts, legumes and whole grains. 4. Pale Lips. Pale lips can be a sign that you’re lacking in iron. An iron deficiency can cause your immune system to become weak. If you’re getting sick often, it could be another sign that your body needs more iron. Eat This: Red meat, seafood, beans, dark green leafy vegetables, iron-fortified cereals and peas. 5. Bleeding Gums. If your gums have been bleeding lately, it could indicate a lack of Vitamin C in your body. Without Vitamin C, your immune system can weaken, causing muscle pain and problems with your teeth. Eat This: Oranges, red peppers, kale, Brussels sprouts, broccoli, strawberries and grapefruit.

Folic Acid Deficiency Anemia

07:18
Folic Acid Deficiency Anemia Overview Folate, or folic acid, is a type of B vitamin. It helps to: make DNA repair DNA produce red blood cells (RBCs) If you don’t have enough folate in your diet, you may end up with a folate deficiency. Certain drinks and foods, such as citrus juices and dark green vegetables, are particularly good sources of folate. Not eating enough folate can lead to a deficiency in just a few weeks. Deficiency may also occur if you have a disease or genetic mutation that prevents your body from absorbing or converting folate to its usable form. Folate deficiency can cause anemia. Anemia is a condition in which you have too few RBCs. Anemia can deprive your tissues of oxygen it needs because RBCs carry the oxygen. This may affect their function. Folate is particularly important in women of childbearing age. A folate deficiency during pregnancy can lead to birth defects. Most people get enough folate from food. Many foods now have additional folate to prevent deficiency. Nevertheless, supplements are recommended for women who may become pregnant. What are the symptoms of folate deficiency? The symptoms of folate deficiency are often subtle. They include: fatigue gray hair mouth sores tongue swelling growth problems The symptoms of anemia that occur due to folate deficiency include: persistent fatigue weakness lethargy pale skin shortness of breath irritability What causes folate deficiency? Folate is a water-soluble vitamin. It dissolves in water and isn’t stored in your fat cells. This means that you need to keep taking folate as your body cannot develop a reserve. People release excess amounts of water-soluble vitamins in their urine. The causes of folate deficiency include: Diet A diet low in fresh fruits, vegetables, and fortified cereals is the main cause of folate deficiency. In addition, overcooking your food can sometimes destroy the vitamins. Folate levels in your body can become low in just a few weeks if you don’t eat enough folate-rich foods. Disease Diseases that affect absorption in the gastrointestinal tract can cause folate deficiencies. Such diseases include: Crohn’s disease celiac disease certain types of cancers severe kidney problems that require dialysis Genetics Some people have a genetic mutation that hinders their body from properly and efficiently converting dietary or supplemental folate to its usable form, methylfolate. Medication side effects Certain medications can cause folate deficiency. These include: phenytoin (Dilantin) trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole methotrexate sulfasalazine Excessive alcohol intake Alcohol interferes with folate absorption. It also increases folate excretion through the urine. How is a folate deficiency diagnosed? Folate deficiency is diagnosed with a blood test. Doctors will often test the folate levels of pregnant women during their prenatal checkups. What are the complications of folate deficiency? Folate is required for the normal production of RBCs. Complications of a deficiency may include: megaloblastic anemia, which means the RBCs are larger than normal and not fully developed low levels of white blood cells and platelets serious birth defects in the spinal cord and brain of a developing fetus, which are called neural tube defects. Treatment of folate deficiency Treatment involves increasing the dietary intake of folate. You can also take a folate supplement. Those with a genetic mutation that affects folate absorption, known as MTHFR, need to take methylated folate in order to avoid deficiency. Folate is frequently combined with other B vitamins in supplements. These are sometimes called vitamin B complexes. Pregnant women should completely avoid alcohol, and everyone else with a folate deficiency should decrease their alcohol intake. Buy vitamin B complex supplements. Prevention of folate deficiency Eat a nutritious diet to prevent folate deficiency. Foods that contain high amounts of folate include: leafy, green vegetables, such as broccoli and spinach Brussels sprouts peas citrus fruits, such as bananas and melons tomato juice eggs beans legumes mushrooms asparagus kidney liver meat poultry pork shellfish wheat bran fortified cereals The recommended folate dose is 400 micrograms per day. Women who may become pregnant should take a folate supplement. Folate is critical for normal fetal growth. Shop for prenatal vitamins now. People who take medications known to cause folate deficiency should take a supplement as well, but it’s important to check with your doctor first. One test that your doctor may use to help diagnose you is the Schilling test. The Schilling test is a blood test that evaluates your ability to absorb vitamin B-12.

Megaloblastic Anemia: Causes, Symptoms & Diagnosis

10:22
Megaloblastic Anemia: Causes, Symptoms & Diagnosis What Is Megaloblastic Anemia? Megaloblastic anemia is a type of anemia, a blood disorder in which the number of red blood cells is lower than normal. Red blood cells transport oxygen through the body. When your body doesn’t have enough red blood cells, your tissues and organs don’t get enough oxygen. There are many types of anemia with different causes and characteristics. Megaloblastic anemia is characterized by red blood cells that are larger than normal. There also aren’t enough of them. It’s known as vitamin B-12 or folate deficiency anemia, or macrocytic anemia, as well. Megaloblastic anemia is caused when red blood cells aren’t produced properly. Because the cells are too large, they may not be able to exit the bone marrow to enter the bloodstream and deliver oxygen. Causes of Megaloblastic Anemia The two most common causes of megaloblastic anemia are deficiencies of vitamin B-12 or folate. These two nutrients are necessary for producing healthy red blood cells. When you don’t get enough of them, it affects the makeup of your red blood cells. This leads to cells that don’t divide and reproduce the way they should. Vitamin B-12 Deficiency Vitamin B-12 is a nutrient found in some foods like meat, fish, eggs, and milk. Some people can’t absorb enough vitamin B-12 from their food, leading to megaloblastic anemia. Megaloblastic anemia caused by vitamin B-12 deficiency is referred to as pernicious anemia. Vitamin B-12 deficiency is most often caused by the lack of a protein in the stomach called “intrinsic factor.” Without intrinsic factor, vitamin B-12 can’t be absorbed, regardless of how much you eat. It’s also possible to develop pernicious anemia because there isn’t enough vitamin B-12 in your diet. Folate Deficiency Folate is another nutrient that’s important for the development of healthy red blood cells. Folate is found in foods like beef liver, spinach, and Brussels sprouts. Folate is often mixed up with folic acid — technically, folic acid is the artificial form of folate, found in supplements. You can also find folic acid in fortified cereals and foods. Your diet is an important factor in making sure you have enough folate. Folate deficiency can also be caused by chronic alcohol abuse, since alcohol interferes with the body’s ability to absorb folic acid. Pregnant women are more likely to have folate deficiency, because of the high amounts of folate needed by the developing fetus. Q: What are the differences between macrocytic anemia and microcytic anemia? A: Anemia is a term for low hemoglobin or red blood cells. Anemia can be divided into different types based on the volume of the red blood cells. Macrocytic anemia means that the red blood cells are larger than normal. In microcytic anemia, the cells are smaller than normal. We use this classification because it helps us to determine the cause of the anemia. The most common causes of macrocytic anemia are vitamin B-12 and folate deficiency. Pernicious anemia is a type of macrocytic anemia due to the body not being able to absorb vitamin B-12. Elderly, vegans, and alcoholics are more susceptible to developing macrocytic anemia. The most common cause of microcytic anemia is iron-deficiency anemia, usually due to poor dietary intake or blood loss, such as menstrual blood loss or through the gastrointestinal tract. Pregnancy, menstruating women, infants, and those with a diet low in iron may have an increased chance of developing microcytic anemia. Other causes of microcytic anemia include defects in hemoglobin production such as sickle cell disease, thalassemia, and sideroblastic anemia. What Are the Symptoms of Megaloblastic Anemia? The most common symptom of megaloblastic anemia is fatigue. Symptoms can vary from person to person. Common symptoms include: shortness of breath muscle weakness abnormal paleness of the skin glossitis (swollen tongue) loss of appetite/weight loss diarrhea nausea fast heartbeat smooth or tender tongue tingling in hands and feet numbness in extremities Diagnosing Megaloblastic Anemia One test used to diagnose many forms of anemia is the complete blood count (CBC). This test measures the different parts of your blood. Your doctor can check the number and appearance of your red blood cells. They will appear larger and underdeveloped if you have megaloblastic anemia. Your doctor will also gather your medical history and perform a physical exam to rule out other causes of your symptoms. Your doctor will need to do more blood tests to figure out if vitamin deficiency is causing your anemia. These tests will also help them find out whether it’s a vitamin B-12 or folate deficiency that’s causing the condition.

PERNICIOUS ANEMIA Symptoms, Causes & Treatments

04:49
PERNICIOUS ANEMIA (ADDISON ANEMIA) Symptoms, Causes & Treatments OVERVIEW Anemia is a medical condition in which the blood is low in normal red blood cells. Pernicious anemia is one of the vitamin B-12 deficiency anemias. It’s caused by an inability to absorb the vitamin B-12 needed for your body to make enough healthy red blood cells. Pernicious anemia is a rare condition, with a prevalence of .1 percent in the general population and 1.9 percent in people who are older than 60 years, according to the Journal of Blood Medicine. This type of anemia is called “pernicious” because it was once considered a deadly disease. This was due to the lack of available treatment. Today, though, the disease is relatively easy to treat with B-12 injections or supplements. However, if left untreated, vitamin B-12 deficiency can lead to severe complications. SYMPTOMS The progression of pernicious anemia is slow. It may be difficult to recognize the symptoms because you may have become used to not feeling well. Commonly overlooked symptoms include: • Weakness. • Headaches. • Chest pain. • Weight loss. In rare cases of pernicious anemia, people may have neurological symptoms. These can include: • An unsteady gait. • Spasticity, which is stiffness and tightness in the muscles. • Peripheral neuropathy, which is numbness in the arms and legs. • Progressive lesions of the spinal cord. • Memory loss. Other symptoms of a B-12 deficiency, which can overlap with pernicious anemia, include: • Nausea and vomiting. • Confusion. • Depression. • Constipation. • Loss of appetite. • Heartburn. CAUSES Lack of vitamin B-12 People with anemia have low levels of normal red blood cells (RBCs). Vitamin B-12 plays a role in creating RBCs, so the body requires an adequate intake of vitamin B-12. Vitamin B-12 is found in: • Meat. • Poultry. • Shellfish. • Eggs. • Dairy products. • Fortified soy, nut, and rice milks. • Nutritional supplements. Lack of IF Your body also needs a type of protein called intrinsic factor (IF) to absorb vitamin B-12. IF is a protein produced by cells in the stomach. After you consume vitamin B-12, it travels to your stomach where it binds with IF. The two are then absorbed in the last part of your small intestine. In most cases of pernicious anemia, the body’s immune system attacks and destroys the cells that produce IF in the stomach. If these cells are destroyed, the body can’t make IF and can’t absorb vitamin B-12. TREATMENTS The treatment for pernicious anemia is a two-part process. Your doctor will treat any existing vitamin B-12 deficiency and check for iron deficiency. Treatment begins with: • Vitamin B-12 injections that are slowly decreased over time. • Complete blood counts to measure vitamin B-12 and iron levels in blood serum. • Blood tests to monitor replacement treatments. Vitamin B-12 injections can be given daily or weekly until the B-12 levels return to normal (or close to normal). During the first few weeks of treatment, your doctor may recommend limiting physical activity. After your vitamin B-12 levels are normal, you’ll only need to get the shot once per month. You can administer the shots yourself or have someone else give them to you at home to save you trips to the doctor. After your B-12 levels are normal, your doctor may recommend you take regular doses of B-12 supplements instead of the injection. These come in pills, nasal gels, and sprays.

How to Naturally Overcome Vitamin B12 Deficiency

07:33
For more on Vitamin B12 foods, you can check out my article: https://draxe.com/top-10-vitamin-b12-foods/ In this video, I’m going to talk about how to overcome Vitamin B12 deficiency and the health benefits of Vitamin B12. Surprisingly, about 40% of the population is deficient. Some of the big warning signs that you are Vitamin B12 deficient are if you struggle with low energy, fatigue, lack of focus, poor memory, poor cellular function, autoimmune disease, anemia, or thyroid condition. The biggest reason most people have Vitamin B12 deficiency is because they don’t have a healthy digestive system to digest this vitamin properly, also known as leaky gut. If you can’t absorb nutrients and vitamins properly, then you won’t be able to absorb the vitamins you need for optimal health. People who struggle with leaky gut or digestive issues, vegans or vegetarians, and people who don’t have enough probiotics in their diet all tend to have a Vitamin B12 deficiency. Some of the benefits of Vitamin B12 include red blood cell formation, which is vital to heart health, cellular function, and supporting the brain and nerve system. If you want to overcome Vitamin B12 deficiency, then you must follow these specific steps: 1. Consume more Vitamin B12-rich foods (liver, wild-caught fish, grass-fed lamb and beef, and raw dairy products) 2. Take a Probiotic (increases absorption) 3. Heal your gut (getting inflammatory foods out of your diet) 4. Supplementation (Vitamin B12, B complex, desiccated liver supplement) If you can follow these steps, you will notice improvements immediately and overcome your Vitamin B12 deficiency. *This content is strictly the opinion of Dr. Josh Axe, and is for informational and educational purposes only. Sickle Cell Anemia, which Vitamins are Best?

16:54
Sickle Cell Anemia, which Vitamins are Best? As usual, if something from nature can help a lot to improve health or help with a serious condition, you will not see many doctors recommend it because it is not profitable. It is time to rebel against the medical money powers and improve our health through nature. It has been recognized in government studies that people with sickle cell anemia are often deficient in vitamins D and C. What most people do not know about vitamins D & C, is that vitamins D & C are actually very powerful hormones that are vital to good health. Since red blood cells are so heavily damaged in people with sickle cell anemia, it is imperative that people with sickle cell anemia take enough of the two vital and powerful hormones, vitamins D & C to repair their blood cells.
