5 Steps diabetes diet plan for weight loss

03:07
1. Excercise Exercise keeps off the weight. Research shows that people who increase physical activity along with reducing calorie intake will lose more body fat that people who only diet. For confirmation, look at the National Weight Control Registry (NWCR), a database of 4,000 men and women who have lost 30 or more pounds and kept it off. Only 9 percent reached and maintained their weight-loss goal without exercise. Most people in the register chose walking as their form of exercise. 2. Eat breakfast The most effective diabetes diet includes breakfast. Skipping breakfast can lead to overeating later in the day when you become ravenous. This can sabotage weight-loss plans and cause blood sugar levels to surge. Studies show that eating breakfast, especially if it's cereal, is associated with better weight loss. A common characteristic among the NWCR participants is that most of them ate breakfast. 3. Cut calories The exact number of calories that people on a diabetes diet should consume depends on a number of factors, including age, gender, current weight, activity level, and body type. A reasonable goal for people with type 2 diabetes is between 1,200 and 1,800 calories per day for women and between 1,400 and 2,000 calories per day for men. 4. Feast on fiber Does your diabetes diet include lots of fiber? If so, you're doing your type 2 diabetes a favor. Generous amounts of fiber help lower blood sugar levels and speed weight loss. In one study, adults who consumed the most fiber-rich foods had the least amount of body fat. Aim for three servings per day of fiber-loaded fruits, vegetables, beans, and whole grains. Toss fiber-rich legumes, like chickpeas and black beans, into salads, chili, and soups. 5. Eat mini-meals A diabetes diet structured with three or more small meals daily is better than a diet plan that includes only one or two big meals. Large meals can cause blood sugar levels to surge, while eating smaller meals more frequently will keep glucose levels lower after eating. Plus, a diabetes diet consisting of mini-meals spread through the day will help control hunger and calorie intake, leading to faster weight loss.

What is prediabetes? Prediabetes is a condition, that if not treated, often leads to type 2 diabetes within 5 years. In fact, 1 in 4 people with diabetes, don't even know they have it yet. There are a lot of factors causing type 2 diabetes, but the most important ones are genetics and lifestyle. Particularly poor lifestyle choices with eating too much of the wrong foods and not moving your body enough can cause insulin resistance, which simply means your body doesn't process insulin the way it should. Even though your body produces insulin to move sugar to your cells, the cells are resistant to the insulin. Insulin resistance often leads to type 2 diabetes. 5 Diet And Exercise Tips For Type 2 Diabetes: 1. Include more foods high in protein with every meal and snack. Foods high in protein also help keep you satiated and feeling full longer. Type 2 diabetes diet tip: consume more foods high in protein to balance your blood sugar and improve insulin resistance. 2. Drink more water Water can help keep you feeling full. Next time you think you feel hungry, drink a big glass of water. You'll be surprised that a lot of times you're just dehydrated, not actually hungry. Type 2 diabetes diet tip: before you eat any meal, drink a big glass of water to help reduce your hunger and appetite. 3. Consume more essential fat Essential fats are super important because they are involved in pretty much every process and cell in the human body. Omega 3's, with the highest quality EPA and DHA, are primarily found in wild fish like salmon, mackerel, sardines, and anchovies, as well as in a fish oil supplement. Type 2 diabetes diet tip: every time you eat at a nice restaurant, order salmon. Also, supplement with fish oil. 4. Exercise more with a focus on resistance training Exercise is the main way to burn excess calories and grow more muscle tissue to help increase your resting metabolic rate (RMR). This means people with more lean muscle tissue will actually burn more calories than obese people, even when the body is not moving. Type 2 diabetes exercise tip: Follow a workout program that focuses the majority of your workouts on resistance training with weights to help improve insulin sensitivity. 5. Control Your Insulin Hormone The problem with insulin occurs when there is too much insulin present in the body at one time. This happens when people have a diet high in sugar, which eventually causes insulin resistance, and potentially diabetes. High glycemic foods comprised of refined sugar and flour are the main offenders in releasing large amounts of insulin. Type 2 diabetes diet and exercise tip: keep your insulin balanced by focusing on lifting weights in the gym and eating primarily paleo approved foods such as plants and animals.  Bottom line Use these 5 diet and exercise tips for type 2 diabetes to help reverse type 2 diabetes naturally. Tips On Controlling Diabetes With Diet And Exercise

08:17
http://goo.gl/QCJ9b0 - How to reverse diabetes! Turns out, the diabetes industry is selling us fake research! Hi! I'm robo-Suzie and today I'll talk to you about Tips On Controlling Diabetes With Diet And Exercise. Also don't forget to check out the link below, to find out, how this guy reversed his diabetes! Turns out, the diabetes industry is selling us fake research! But back to our topic. Controlling diabetes with diet and exercise is something that every diabetic is tasked with because the alternative is bleak. Medications or insulin shots can only do so much. Diet and exercise allow you to lessen the effects of diabetes on your body and life and help you thrive even with this diagnosis. In the case of type 2 diabetes, diet and exercise may even allow you to reverse this type of diabetes. Get in the game. Fight for your life and health. Diet and exercise is the best way to accomplish this. The Outlook is Bleak. Not taking a proactive approach to diabetes treatment will lead to kidney disease, heart disease, blindness, high blood pressure, stroke, infections and wounds that are slow to heal or never heal, limb amputation and even falling into a diabetic coma when severe. Controlling diabetes with diet and exercise is one of the best ways to ensure that this is not your present and future. But you need not be afraid or feel powerless because simple changes to your lifestyle can produce amazing results and you will be able to live a long and productive life even if you have the more serious type 1 diabetes which is not curable or preventable. 1. Controlling Diabetes with Diet. The word "diet" has such negative connotations and at the mere mention of it, many people recoil. At the mention of the word, most people think it means that you won't be able to eat anything you like, or anything delicious, or will be starving and so forth. But when a diet for diabetes is talked about, it simply means a well thought out plan for eating. In some cases, you may even be able to still eat some "bad" foods on occasion as long as you are aware of how they will impact your diabetic eating plan and what adjustments you may need to make when you eat these "bad" foods so that your blood sugar levels do not go crazy and cause you problems. In addition, creating a proper diabetes eating plan will help you get a better understanding of how various foods impact blood sugar levels which will help you make the decision on which foods to eliminate and which to include. For instance, soft drinks, refined grains, etc, have been shown to increase the risk of developing type 2 diabetes and also increasing inflammation in the body. Knowing this will help you make the choice to eliminate soft drinks (regular and diet) and hopefully encourage you to drink more water and to select complex carbs in placed of processed foods made from refined grains. It is important to remember that a healing diabetes diet will vary from one diabetic to another. You have to find the diet that will work for you. Some diabetics may be able to eat certain foods whereas another many have to eliminate that food. There isn't one diet that will work in all cases. One may need to follow a low fat, high carbohydrate diet while another may need to follow a low carbohydrate, high vegetable diet, etc. Find what works for you. While you may be confused about what to eat and what to avoid, you should be prepared to experiment with various recommended foods to see which ones raise your blood sugar levels and which ones help to normalize it. To find which foods are best for controlling blood sugar, you need to monitor your blood sugar levels for a period of time such as two to three weeks. Measure your blood glucose levels first thing in the morning, after breakfast, after meals as well as snacks and also before you go to bed. Also measure the sugar levels before and after physical activity. Once you have an understanding of how your blood sugar levels are affected, you will then be in a better position to create a diet plan that works for you and helps heal your body naturally. 2. Controlling Diabetes with Exercise. The other aspect of controlling diabetes is exercise. It is amazing how effective exercise can be against type 2 diabetes especially. The best thing you can do against diabetes is exercise. It is also the least expensive when you consider how much you have to spend on diabetes medications, insulin injections, etc. Effective exercise can be as simple as a walk or run, swimming, dancing, cycling, etc.

Insulin and Weight loss ➠ How to Control & Lower Insulin Resistance Levels Fat Loss Diabetes Leptin

08:31
Everything you need to know about Insulin and Weight Loss. In this video I reveal how to control and lower insulin resistance. Lower your insulin levels and battle diabetes with diet and exercise. 🔥 FREE 6 Week Challenge: https://gravitychallenges.com/home65d4f?utm_source=ytube&utm_term=insulin Fat Loss Calculator: http://bit.ly/2O5Dxzw Insulin and weight loss. What exactly makes these two so dependent on each other? If you dig through a little bit of fat loss research you'll see right away that insulin is very closely connected with burning fat and losing weight. In fact without reducing insulin there is almost no way we can burn a substantial amount of fat no matter how hard we exercise and diet. And even though most people have heard about insulin spikes not being good for weight loss the average person doesn't truly understand why. Well my hope is that today I can explain this in a way that anybody can understand. It all starts with you eating food. When you eat food the chewed up food particles get broken down further in your stomach into very small parts and then they pass through your intestines at which point your body absorbs and breaks down those nutrients and calories again and dumps them into your bloodstream. These broken down nutrients can't just jump into the cells that need them for their daily functions without some help. That's where insulin comes in. Insulin is a hormone secreted by your pancreas and it gets released into your bloodstream when your body senses that blood sugar has increased. Very high blood sugar levels are not good for you and your body knows this. So insulin acts as a bridge between your cells and the sugar found floating around in your blood. Without insulin your blood sugar would be very high because your body wouldn't be able to get that sugar into the cells. This is actually pretty much what type 2 diabetes is. When people are insulin resistant which means that insulin isn't doing its job they usually wind up being labeled as a type 2 diabetic which means that they need an external source of insulin for example either a shot or a pill to get their blood sugar down. So what does all of this have to do with fat loss and weight loss. Well whether you eat pasta brown rice or drink a can of soda all of it will eventually be broken down and it will be blood sugar floating around in your bloodstream. The only difference is that whole high-fiber carbs like brown rice will take a lot longer to digest which means that the sugar will be released into your bloodstream slowly while the can of soda will pretty much be released all at once. When it's released into your bloodstream slowly you give your body a chance to actually use it overtime so you won't require quite as much insulin which leads to less of it being stored as fat. Before insulin starts storing blood glucose into fat cells it will first store as much of it as possible into your liver for later use. The liver can only hold a limited amount of blood sugar and then the excess starts to get dumped off into your muscle cells. Now your muscle cells can hold more of this glucose then your liver can however it also has its limit. By building more muscle you're going to be able to increase this limit and use more of the blood sugar for your muscles rather than storing it as fat, however again even the most muscular person on the planet is going to have a limit of how much of this blood glucose can actually be used by the muscles. Once that limit is reached we hit a point called spillover where the sugar that came from mostly carbohydrates in your diet will begin to be stored in fat cells in order to lower the sugar found in your blood stream to normal levels. So insulin is an anabolic hormone that causes weight gain and growth. The opposite hormone to insulin is a catabolic hormone known as glucagon which is released when blood sugar drops too low. Glucagon just like insulin goes in and acts as a bridge between the stored energy in your cells and your bloodstream. Except it has the inverse effect. So it pulls energy from your cells and dumps it into the bloodstream. Before your body will start pulling fat from fat cells for energy it will first pull that stored glucose from your liver and your muscle cells. This is why so many low carb diets work. When you don't have that many carbs it's easy for your body to use up the carbs stored in your muscles and your liver and then proceed straight to burning fat for energy. This is the same reason why ketogenic diets work. Except an added benefit to ketogenic diets is that your body becomes more efficient at using fat for energy which means more fat will burnt.

#1 Diabetes Exercise - Finally Cured From Type 2 Diabetes

05:56
http://diabetescureforever.com/ What is the best exercise to cure type 2 diabetes? Resistance training also known as Weight lifting or short burst high intensity training is typically the best best exercise for diabetics. Examples: Squat, Push up, dumbbell curls, Sit ups. Range: 8-12 Reps Do this 3x a week at, 1 hour for every session. Your insulin resistance issue will be reversed in 90 days if you do it consistently. I have seen diabetic patients who cured themselves from type II diabetes and improve their overall insulin sensitivity permanently. Dr Bryan Walsh You need insulin in order to get these GLUT4 vesicles to trans-locate to cell membrane to bring glucose in. Something that is critically important to understand however, in skeletal muscles this GLUT4 vesicle also can be trans located to the membrane via an insulin independent process, meaning there is no insulin required to do so. That is skeletal muscle contraction, otherwise known as resistance training, or lifting weight. Simply contracting your muscles against resistance will allow the GLUT4 vesicles to trans locate, bring glucose in, and NOT requiring insulin. Dr Michael Baker Exercise Physiologist What we've found is that through resistance training, we are able to increase muscle mass and muscle is a really important place for glucose to go. So we increase their muscle mass, they get stronger, and blood glucose control improved. Diabetic people must at least do resistance workout such as weight lifting 3 times per week as a strategy to stimulate the movement of glucose inside the cells. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8QIvABc6BEQ Nutrient wise, you might want to try a low carb approach: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G55rHh8gT_U Simply limit your net carbohydrate intake to 70 grams per day.

Healthy Diabetes Diet Tips

03:14
Currently, there is no cure for Diabetes, although researchers are making strides in the field every day. However, Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes can be managed successfully by following a proper diet, getting regular exercise and, in some cases, using diabetes medication. Diabetes Diet Treatment of diabetes almost always begins by following a diabetes diet designed to control blood glucose levels. Generally speaking, a healthy diet of a diabetic is a healthy diet for non-diabetics: 40 to 60% carbohydrates, 20% protein and 30% or less fat. Avoidance of excess consumption of sugar is also an important part of a diabetes diet. Diabetics don't have to avoid sugar entirely, but need to incorporate it as part of a balanced diet, being careful not to add sugar to foods. At each meal, diabetics can eat two to five carbohydrate servings, one protein serving and a small amount of fat. Following are general guidelines on what types of food to incorporate and types of food to avoid. A dietician or doctor can provide a balanced diabetes diet plan to follow. Carbohydrates make up the balance of the diet, and include fruits, vegetables, dairy, beans, and starches (such as bread and rice). Reach for fresh fruit. Eat vegetables that are fresh, canned or frozen. Choose bread that’s high in fiber and low in sugar. Avoid canned fruit, dried fruit or fruit juices, all of which have excess sugar added. Protein sources include meat, poultry, dairy products, fish, and beans. Eat more fish and chicken than red meat and reach for low-fat or fat-free dairy products. Avoid eating poultry skin and excess fat on cuts of meat. Fat is necessary for the body, but should be used in moderation. Fat is in dairy and meat products, and the butter, margarine, and oils often added to food during cooking. Check with your healthcare provider about the number of fat grams you should be eating each day. Avoid fried foods, mayonnaise-based food, egg yolks, bacon and regular dairy products, choosing fat-free and low-fat dairy instead. Be sure to check low and fat-free dairy product labels to see how many carbohydrates they contain, and add those grams to your daily carbohydrate intake. An important part of a diet for managing diabetes is controlling portion size. Be sure you are eating the right amounts of the right foods to maintain a healthy diabetes diet. If a diabetes diet isn't totally controlling blood sugar levels, a doctor may prescribe diabetes medication. Medication does not cure diabetes, but helps manage insulin levels.

Controlling Diabetes Complications with Diet, Exercise, and Medical Advancements

03:13
Diabetes is quite a common condition all over the world, which is why there have been many methods developed to deal with it. However, the condition is not at all as simple as it may seem. This is because there are also diabetes complications to consider as well. As expected, these complications can be either short-term or long-term, depending on their nature and severity. The common ones include foot problems, diabetic eye problems, and thyroid problems. All of these can have serious impacts on the health of the diabetic patient himself. Therefore, it comes as a must to control these complications as much as possible. Fortunately, there are a number of things you can try, just to do this. The first thing that you can do is to keep studying the condition. If you think about it, it is actually a bit hard to diagnose someone as a diabetic. This is because a person can easily be regarded as healthy, in spite of the fact that he is indeed diabetic. What's more, many diabetic patients do not really know much about their condition at all. Thus, it comes as a must to be as informed about the condition as possible. There will always be medical advancements and new technology arising. Once this information is made public, you should take time to educate yourself regarding these new developments. This just might pave the way for a healthy life free from diabetes complications. The second thing that you can do is to incorporate appropriate changes in your diet. Befriend your diet, so to speak. Upon diagnosis of the condition, do not put off incorporating the necessary changes. Start educating yourself right away, especially regarding the correct diet and nutrition plan for you and your current condition. Diabetes and obesity usually go hand in hand, so there is a definite need to change your diet accordingly. It is never too early to stop eating junk food and start eating well-balanced and healthy meals. The third thing to do is exercise. Much emphasis should be placed here because as diabetes and obesity go hand in hand, so do exercise and diet. In fact, the effects of diet just would not be the same without the incorporation of exercise. Have your physician or fitness instructor develop the ideal fitness program for your condition. And when your exercise regimen has been developed already, be sure to stick to it. You have to be as vigilant as possible here. Remember that having diabetes complications will only worsen your problem. So, it should be in your best interest to be mindful of these three tips and prolong your life accordingly.

GESTATIONAL DIABETES - Diet Plan By Dietitian Jyoti Chabria

01:51
BEST TIPS on GESTATIONAL DIABETES starting from diet plan, exercises & weight management. When you hear the word gestational diabetes I’m sure many of us would raise our eyebrows! Well, let me put it across in a simpler way. This type of diabetes is common in pregnant woman and remains only till the time of her delivery. After delivery the patient is considered no more a considered a diabetic. Some women are unfortunate when the gestational diabetes tends to stay on and goes not go away. This happens in very rare situations accompanied with other complications. Gestational diabetes during pregnancy is a temporary phase where the body goes through a number of changes. Did you know that gestational diabetes is also known as ‘Mellitis”? Let us have a brief look at what really causes diabetes in pregnant woman: Pregnant woman do not really need to worry about their blood sugar levels rising because it usually reaches normal levels during the course of time. I’m sure you all would want to know the reason for high sugar levels in pregnant woman! One major cause is the fact that the placenta produces more insulin than normally required by the body, and results in hormones getting blocked. Gestational diabetes occurs in women generally during the last semester of the pregnancy. The best way to make sure that you are not a diabetic is to get your blood sugar levels checked right after your delivery and regularly for the consecutive six months. A healthy diet for gestational diabetes is also very important to be followed. Pregnancy is one such phase in a women’s life which she always looks forward to. The period of pregnancy should be followed with some form of exercise for gestational diabetes. This would go a long way in making the pregnancy easier for the women. Risk factors for gestational diabetes: 1. Obesity: Women who are overweight are under a greater risk of getting gestational diabetes. Therefore it is important to keep a check on your weight during pregnancy. 2. High blood pressure: Pregnancy tends to increase the blood pressure levels in women. In order to avoid such a situation, it is always advisable to do some yoga or meditation to keep the mind calm. Some basic precautions to be taken during pregnancy are: Healthy diet plan:  It is important to follow a similar diet as a diabetic patient. Once the baby is born, the mother can go back to her normal eating habits since all the sugar parameters come back to normal levels. Food to be consumed by the patient is as follows- low fat skimmed milk, drumsticks, spinach, fenugreek etc.  Food that should be avoided is- Potatoes, beetroots, bananas, mangoes, grapes and custard apples. Exercising:  This is another way to maintain normal sugar levels in the body. Exercising like taking small walks or yoga can help you control the glucose levels in the body. A check on your weight: weight management is quite a task for many mothers to be! Controlling your weight can go a long way in keeping your sugar levels well under control. I hope this bit of information has been educational in some way to all of you! So remember gestational diabetes is just a temporary phase but can be problematic if you are not precautions. As the old saying goes ‘Precaution is better than cure’!  Jyoti Chabria is a Consultant Dietitian for many major hospitals, colleges and corporates in India. She is a national award winner for her nutrition product line ‘Nutriline’. With over 20 years of experience, she aims to create public awareness in the field of healthcare and conduct several camps and workshops. Which Type Of Diabetes Can Be Controlled By Diet?

06:19
Get our diabetes management guide here https://goo.gl/wqXizj When it comes to diabetes, many people can get confused. There are, sort of, 4 types, with 2 main types. The main types are Type 1 and Type 2, then there is Pre-Diabetes and Gestational diabetes. This only occurs in pregnant women. So we really need to answer a couple of questions. First of all, which type CAN be managed with diet, that is Type 2. Let’s talk about those with Type 1 diabetes first. If you have Type 1 then you are insulin dependent. If you have Type 1 Diabetes, then approximately 90% of your insulin producing cells have been destroyed. They have not been damaged with a chance of repair, they are gone. It is impossible to reverse the damage done. While some think their diabetes has been cured or even reversed, this is a false sense of security. The process that destroyed the 90% of insulin producing cells with destroy the remaining 10%. Ultimately you will be totally dependent on insulin. Type 1 diabetes cannot be managed without medication. And this is not my opinion, it is the opinion of the foremost diabetes center in the world, the Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston. Here is what they have to say on the matter: If you have type 1 diabetes, you must take daily insulin injections to keep your blood glucose in a normal range. Your body produces little or no insulin. Insulin is a vital hormone that helps your body convert food into energy. Without insulin, you would die. So the answer is Type 2 diabetes CAN be managed with diet. But is it something you should try to do? Well, here is what Joslin has to say about that. If you have type 2 diabetes, the answer to this question is much less clear. Many people can keep their blood glucose in a healthy range without medications (either oral diabetes medications or insulin injections) if they lose weight and keep their weight down, are regularly physically active, and follow a meal plan that helps them keep portion sizes under control and helps them spread the amount of carbohydrate they eat at each meal throughout the day. So yes, it is possible for people with Type 2 to maintain their blood sugar without medication. But I do want to emphasize that this is not possible for everyone. In the 2016 study, 30 volunteers with Type 2 went on a strict diet of 650 calories per day for 6 months. Now, let me warn you right now, that is not a lot of food in 650 calories. However, the participants lost an average of 30 pounds. They had to keep this weight off for another 6 months through diet and exercise. The results were that 12 of those with Type 2 who had been diagnosed less than10 years, reversed their diabetes. For those who had been diagnosed longer did not have the same results. The key to managing your diabetes is to lose weight and regular exercise. And this isn’t something you try for a month. This is a life long commitment. It can be done, but many fail. Eventually, many people with type 2 diabetes find that despite their best efforts, weight control, exercise and diet aren't enough to keep their blood glucose in a healthy range. This is not unusual. One theory is that some people's insulin-producing cells just get tired out from having to produce more and more insulin because their cells are resistant to the effects of insulin. Now, if your healthcare provider tells you that you need to take oral diabetes medications or insulin injections to manage your blood glucose, it's important that you follow their instructions. Keeping your blood glucose in a healthy range is key to preventing long-term complications, such as eye disease, kidney disease, heart attacks, and other problems that poorly controlled blood glucose can cause over a period of years. If you want to try and manage your diabetes without medications, you must let your health care provider know your intentions and you need to monitor EVERYTHING very closely. Don’t just wake up one day and say, “I will eat right today and walk 2 miles, so I don’t need to take my meds.” That would not be a good move on your part. It is possible to manage your diabetes without meds, but do it the right way with the help of your healthcare team.

Controlling Diabetes With Diet And Exercise

11:11
Controlling diabetes with diet and exercise is something that every diabetic is tasked. Medications or insulin shots can only do so much. For More information Visit: https://www.loveyourbody2.com Facebook...Loveyourbodytoo Fan Page...Diva Darlings Walk and Talk. Not taking a proactive approach to diabetes treatment will lead to kidney disease, heart disease, blindness, high blood pressure, stroke, infections and wounds that are slow to heal or never heal, limb amputation and even falling into a diabetic coma when severe. Controlling Diabetes with Diet and Exercise At the mention of the word, most people think it means that you won't be able to eat anything you like, or anything delicious, or will be starving and so forth. But when a diet for diabetes is talked about, it simply means a well thought out plan for eating. In some cases, you may even be able to still eat some "bad" foods on occasion as long as you are aware of In addition, creating a proper diabetes eating plan will help you get a better understanding of how various foods impact blood sugar levels which will help you make the decision on which foods to eliminate and which to include. 2 diabetes and also increasing inflammation in the body. To find which foods are best for controlling blood sugar, you need to monitor your blood sugar levels for a period of time such as two to three weeks. The other aspect of controlling diabetes is exercise. It is amazing how effective exercise can be against type 2 diabetes especially. The best thing you can do against diabetes is exercise. Effective exercise can be as simple as a walk or run, swimming, dancing, cycling, etc. Moderate exercise performed consistently that leads to modest weight loss has been shown to prevent insulin resistance that can lead to pre-diabetes and type 2 diabetes. Exercising regularly is one of the best ways to improve insulin sensitivity. Insulin resistance is one of the main issues with the development of type 2 diabetes and results from the body not recognizing the insulin that is produced by the body which keeps glucose in the blood and not removed from the blood and transferred to the cells where it is needed for energy which ends up starving the cells in the body. Exercise (and diet) is also the best way to control weight. Type 2 diabetes has reached epidemic levels and the main culprit is obesity as it has been found that at least 80 percent of type 2 diabetes patients and those with pre-diabetes have been found to be obese. It is believed that obesity can lead to insulin resistance which increases the risk of developing pre-diabetes and type II diabetes. It is also important to monitor blood sugar levels before and after exercise. If you have type I diabetes, you will need to make sure that you do not overly exert yourself to the point of becoming hypoglycemic which is a state of low blood sugar. Low blood sugar can lead to fatigue, dizziness, sweating, headaches, trembling and if severe, consciousness can be lost as well as falling into a coma. Those with type II diabetes though they have more leeway with exercise, should still monitor their blood sugar levels before and after exercise. If you are on medication, you need to work with your doctor to make the necessary adjustments to your exercise regimen.. High impact running or jogging may not be advised in cases of neuropathy. Talk to your doctor before beginning any exercise program. Exercise is an important component of diabetes management and many of its other benefits include helping to lower blood pressure, raising good cholesterol (HDL) levels, strengthening bones, toning the heart and other muscles, eliminating stress, weight loss, strengthening the respiratory system, etc. Do it no matter how you feel. You will feel better and after you finish you will fill like you can conquer the world including diabetes! Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/8634262

Is diet & exercise alone enough for diabetes?

03:36
Physical activity is any form of movement that causes your body to burn calories. This can be as simple as walking, gardening, cleaning and many other activities you may already do. During a physical activity, active muscles use up glucose as a source of energy. Regular physical activity helps to prevent glucose from building up in your blood. Many people do not get enough physical activity to be healthy in today’s society. Technology and modern living have removed many regular forms of physical activity from our daily lives. Sai Sanjivani contact details: For Appointment call 9811744999 ( 11AM to 6 PM) Whatsapp Number:+91 9811744999 Website http://saikidneycare.com Link of the form- https://saikidneycare.com/form/ Healthy kidneys regulate body's fluid levels and removes wastes and toxins from the blood. When the kidneys are not functioning properly, filtration is reduced and creatinine & urea build up in blood. Diabetes is the most common cause of #kidneyfailure . High levels of sugar in blood damages millions of nephrons (tiny filtering units) within kidney. When kidney filters are damaged, this can lead to a build up of toxins and impurities in the blood. Kidney damage from diabetes is known as diabetic nephropathy. High blood pressure is the second leading cause of kidney failure. It can damage blood vessels throughout your body. Interruption in the blood flow can cause damage to kidneys. As a result, kidneys may stop removing toxic material and extra fluid from blood. At Sai Sanjivani, 50 % of kidney failure treatment is diet. People with kidney failure may also be asked to make the following changes: 1. Cut back on protein High protein intake may worsen kidney damage. Before understanding the right amount of protein intake for kidney patients, we need to understand how body treats the protein we eat. Vegetables to avoid for kidney patients: All rooty and leafy vegetables Potato Sweet Potato Arbi Turnip Beetroot Spinach Methi Coriander Cauliflower Cabbage Vegetables to eat by kidney patients: Fruits to eat: Brinjal Strawberry Tomato Muskmelon Ladyfinger Watermelon Green chilli Apple Bottle gourd Jamun Round gourd Peach Cucumber Pear Peas Cherry Parwal Pineapple Karela 2. Avoid vigorous exercises Vigorous exercises like cycling, running, jogging and swimming causes muscles to produce more creatinine. Continuous vigorous exercises can lead to high creatinine levels and can make your kidney disease worse. Breathing exercises like kapalbhati, pranayam and amulom vilom are highly beneficial for kidney patients. 3. Being mindful of water intake If you are suffering from any kind of kidney condition, an optimum amount of water intake is allowed. At Sai Sanjivani, we recommend our patients an optimum amount of water intake. Amount of water to take in kidney failure= 24 Hrs. urine output+ 1000 ml fluid 4. Reduce your sodium intake Limiting salt intake is an important measure in patients with kidney failure. A salt-free diet will help to control blood pressure and manage water retention in the body. Also, remember to avoid spicy and oily foods which can be more harmful to you than salt. Tips On Controlling Diabetes With Diet And Exercise

09:19
transcript Controlling diabetes with diet and exercise is something that every diabetic is tasked with because the alternative is bleak. The Outlook is Bleak Not taking a proactive approach to diabetes treatment will lead to kidney disease, heart disease, blindness, high blood pressure, stroke, infections and wounds that are slow to heal or never heal, limb amputation and even falling into a diabetic coma when severe. Controlling Diabetes with Diet and Exercise 1. Controlling Diabetes with Diet The word "diet" has such negative connotations and at the mere mention of it, many people recoil. 2. Controlling Diabetes with Exercise The other aspect of controlling diabetes is exercise. Moderate exercise performed consistently that leads to modest weight loss has been shown to prevent insulin resistance that can lead to pre-diabetes and type 2 diabetes. Those who have diabetes also benefit from regular exercise as exercise can not only help control blood glucose levels but can also help prevent serious complications from diabetes. Exercising regularly is one of the best ways to improve insulin sensitivity. Insulin resistance is one of the main issues with the development of type 2 diabetes and results from the body not recognizing the insulin that is produced by the body which keeps glucose in the blood and not removed from the blood and transferred to the cells where it is needed for energy which ends up starving the cells in th
