U.S. Haults Cigna Medicare Enrollment

00:36
New enrollment in Cigna Corp's Medicare Advantage health plans for seniors and standalone Medicare prescription drug plans has been suspended by the U.S. government, citing noncompliance in its appeals and grievances procedures. The government said Cigna had deficiencies in its appeals and grievances processes in both Medicare Advantage and the Medicare prescription drug program. Cigna's Medicare Advantage and Medicare Part D drug plans help pay for drugs administered outside of a hospital for some 1.5 million people. http://feeds.reuters.com/~r/Reuters/domesticNews/~3/MDV61G6nCZo/story01.htm http://www.wochit.com This video was produced by YT Wochit News using http://wochit.com

Silverscript Part D vs. Humana vs. AARP & Other Medicare Prescription Drug Plans

02:51
Call 1-800-892-7981 or visit http://medicarefriend.com/ Hi there, I'm Glen with the Medicare friend. I have given advice to thousands of folks that are turning 65 and getting onto Medicare for the first time, and what I tell them is conveniently located below for you: Silverscript Part D vs. Humana vs. AARP & All Other Medicare Prescription Drug Plans You're getting ready for Medicare and you are wondering how in the world are you going to get your prescriptions covered and everybody is starting to mail you stuff. Silverscript and AARP and Humana- Humana is so hot right now! AARP is the one that your sister or brother or friend or mother or neighbor has and they love it so is that the best one for you? The correct answer is Maybe... Here's why- unlike Medicare supplements that are all standardized and have to offer identical benefits- Medicare Part D prescription plans can be very different. Each of these Insurance Companies gets to decide how much your specific prescription that you're taking is going to cost. Here's where it gets a little shifty- if a company is boasting that they have a $0 deductible that doesn't mean anything because they may have a much higher co-pay then the next one. And the company with the higher deductible could say that your prescriptions are in a lower-tier on their formulary. And ultimately you would end up paying less for the company with the higher deductible. Better yet some companies with high deductibles can say for your prescriptions, the deductible doesn't apply to them in the first place. And best of all some of the part D plans offer free 3 month supply prescriptions through the mail order. Each person that our team helps gets a thorough analysis on medicare.gov so they will know to the penny what they will pay on one plan versus another. So you can make sure you have the Best Plan! And another nice thing is every year we revisit this with you and make sure you are still in the Medicare Part D plan that saves you the most money overall. So if you get more prescriptions later, you're not stuck, you can switch to a plan that covers your new prescriptions the best. Call us now for a free consultation- We make this SO Easy for you! Talk to you soon. Here at the Medicare friend, we shop the entire market for you, because all we want is to see you happy, with great coverage, and keeping as much money in your pocket as possible. We have NO OTHER MOTIVATION than to give you the best of the best. Call us now or visit us at Medicarefriend.com to schedule a free consultation. 3 Tips to Save $ on Drugs with Medicare Part D

05:24
http://www.abtinsuranceagency.com (888) 465-9728 Find Free Coupons at: http://www.goodrx.com Apply for Extra Help with Part D Drug costs at: https://www.ssa.gov/benefits/medicare/prescriptionhelp/ Find Pharmaceutical assistance programs: https://www.medicare.gov/pharmaceutical-assistance-program/ Many folks who are turning 65 or getting onto Medicare for the first time find that the overall health coverage they experience as a Medicare beneficiary is more robust, and often less expensive than the health insurance coverage they had prior. But often times people are surprised to learn that they will actually pay MORE for their medications when they are on Medicare. Medicare drug coverage can be obtained either through a stand alone Part D drug plan, or through a Medicare Advantage Plan that includes Part D drug coverage. Every year, Medicare has a set formulary, or list of drugs that all Medicare Part D drug plans must cover. Aside from that, plans can differ in which medications they include in their particular formulary. Medicare has no “cap” on your out of pocket drug costs, and if you’re taking expensive medications you may fall into the “donut hole” or coverage gap. This means that when you reach a certain spending threshold, you’ll be responsible for a greater portion of the cost of your drugs. If you find that your Medication costs are getting too expensive, there are a few alternatives I like to recommend. 1. Pay cash without using your insurance card, and use coupons for discounts. My favorite website to recommend is goodrx.com — this site will let you know which pharmacies in your areas have the lowest prices for certain medications, and the site provides free coupons for many drugs as well. If you are at a risk for or close to reaching the Medicare “donut hole” this year, sometimes paying cash for some your less expensive generic medications can help you avoid the coverage gap. 2. Apply for Extra Help through the government. Certain Medicare beneficiaries can qualify for Extra Help with their Medicare prescription drug plan costs. This Extra Help is estimated to be worth about $4,000 per year. To qualify for the Extra Help a person must be receiving Medicare, have limited resources and income. In 2018, in order to qualify for extra help your combined savings, investments, must not be worth more than $28,150 if you are married, or $14,100 if you are not currently married or not living with your spouse. Resources like your home and your car don’t count toward this qualifying amount. To apply for extra help, you can go online to ssa.gov, or call social security at 1–800–772–1213. 3. Look into Co-pay cards, or Pharmaceutical assistance programs. Many pharmaceutical companies offer financial assistance programs for the drugs they manufacture. For folks talking expensive specialty medications for chronic conditions, you can often save thousands of dollars on your medications if you qualify. Qualification criteria will vary based on the drug manufacturer. To see if you qualify, visit https://www.medicare.gov/pharmaceutical-assistance-program/. Lastly, many folks tend to go on auto pilot when it comes to their stand alone Part D coverage. It is so important to shop your Part D drug plan annually during the Medicare Annual Election Period, which runs every fall from Oct. 15th — Dec. 7th. Each year your Part D Plan benefits can change, the formulary and tiers can change, and it’s important to review your policy annually to maximize your savings. Medicare Supplement Plans F, G, & N {Differences Explained}

20:09
In this video I will explain the difference between Medicare Supplement plans, and discuss the cost involved with each, including monthly Medicare Supplement rates. Hopefully this video will help you choose the best Medicare Supplement to fit your needs. Having your Medicare made clear is essential to making sound decisions. There are pitfalls you should navigate when starting Medicare and having Medicare Supplement plans explained in an easy to follow manner will help you avoid some common mistakes. Be sure to watch until the end as I will tell you which states do not allow Excess Charges from doctors, and why this is important if you live in one of these states. Medicare Supplement Plan F has been very popular for many years, however Medicare Supplement Plan G has been gaining a lot of popularity over the last handful of years. Another popular plan for Medicare Supplemental coverage is Medicare Supplement Plan N. Medicare supplement rates vary from company to company. We recently saved a client $1,247.88 a year going from Blue Cross Plan G to Mutual of Omaha Plan G. Quite often when we compare Medicare Supplement Plan F vs G, we see even greater premium savings. Let’s take a look at the three most popular plans which are Plan F, Plan G, and Plan N. Coverage difference and Out of Pocket cost. F – First Dollar Coverage. 100% and covers Excess charges G – You Pay Part B Deductible $183 then plan pays 100% and covers Excess charges N – You Pay Part B Deductible. Plan pays 100% hospital and All Medical minus your $20 copay at doctor or $50 copay if treated at an ER. This plan doesn’t cover Excess Charges in most states. For the purpose of this video I have a few case studies to show you that will illustrate premium differences. Again, set up a quick and free no obligation call with me to get specific rates in your area. Now, if you are turning 65 understanding the plans and cost is very important when determining which plan will fit your needs the best. If you are already on a Medicare Supplement, you have several things to consider. #1. If you love your plan, then are you able to get the same plan at a better rate #2. Now that you hopefully have a better understanding of plans, would changing your plan and savings a drastic amount of annual cost make sense? Some states are not allowed to charge excess charges. In these states we often analyze Medigap Plan G vs Plan N. If a person is okay with a co-pay, and want to keep their premium as low as possible, Plan N can be a good alternative. If you are starting Medicare in the near future, or are already on a Medicare Supplement and would like some honest comparisons, please click the Learn More button to schedule a call back with me. This call is absolutely FREE and you are not obligated at all to make any changes. As we begin to approach the Medicare 2019 Annual Enrollment period, more and more people will be thinking about their Medicare options. I’d love the opportunity to speak with you and help you explore your options. 888-767-6185 ------------------------------------------------------ MEDICARE SUPPLEMENT QUOTES - Contact Randy Wolfe Quote MyMedicare - Quote My Medicare https://quotemymedicare.org/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/quotemymedicare/ YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQrwfmCv6Z44MXawtmQRe3A Medicare Supplements Explained: https://youtu.be/mTg3SlocYbg Medicare Explained: https://youtu.be/zvNKJFmp49Q

Medicare mistakes to avoid

13:43
http://www.LibertySeniorSavings.com 88 Medicare Questions in 88 Days (888) 506-7510 Mistake #1 Medicare Mistakes to Avoid: Missing Deadlines. The first most important mistake is not doing your research and missing some important deadlines. You can actually join Medicare to be effective the month you turn 65. We help people regularly set up 4/5 /6 months before their birthday for that birthday month. Some of the most important deadlines are if you miss the Part B deadline & don’t join it in that 6-month period, you will incur late penalties. It's a 10% late penalty for every full12 months that you should have had Part B. Part D Drug Plan penalty is 1% for every month that you don’t have Part D. This is based on the national average which in now $35.63 (2017) . Mistake #2 Medicare Mistakes to Avoid: Costs can be Unlimited The 2nd most important mistake that people make when getting started into Medicare is not knowing that their costs can be unlimited and there’s no caps. Mistake #3 Medicare Mistakes to Avoid: Medicare Advantage vs Medicare Supplement The 3rd biggest mistake is not understanding the true differences between Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplement. Medicare Supplement is also known as Medigap MedSup. This is your secondary insurance or Supplementary insurance that will cover costs that Medicare doesn't pay. As you probably know Medicare is not designed to pay for everything. Now, the two are very similar in that they’re both private insurance companies that’s where the differences end. With Medicare Advantage you are limited to certain network of doctors & you must have your procedure certified/approved before you have the procedure done. You have copays and co insurance. You can’t travel to any other part of the country and use your Medicare Advantage. Mayo Clinic & MD Anderson are not in network. In Medicare Advantage they can tell you which procedures are okay and which are not & every year they can cancel you. Medicare Advantage plans regularly leave the area. You either have to get a new plan or change doctors. So, compare that to Medicare supplement, the biggest difference here is that $6700 out-of-pocket that is what Medicare Advantage is known for. Comparing it to the Medicare supplement, the maximum that you would have would be your premium & an annual deductible of $183. There’s even some popular plans that don’t have a deductible at all. So, $6700 on one with limitations of HMOs and networks vs. a $183 annual Deductible with any Medicare doctor you choose. The only doctor you have to go to with Medicare supplement is someone that takes Medicare. There’s no one behind that scenes with Medicare supplement saying this is allowable, this is not, as long as it’s Medicare approved and your doctor says that you need it, you’re good to go with Medicare supplement. They can’t cancel your plans. Mistake #4 Medicare Mistakes to Avoid: Picking the most expensive plan. The 4th biggest Medicare mistakes to avoid is that people make when they’re first choosing their Medicare is they pick the most expensive plan. All the plans are standardized, so there is no reason to choose the most expensive plan. Mistake #5 Medicare Mistakes to Avoid: Choosing Wrong Agent The fifth most important Medicare Mistakes to avoid is your your choice of agent. You don’t want a captive agent. They only have one product to offer you they have no alternate options for you. They have that plan and that alone. An independent agent which means is someone who is not loyal to any one company. As independents, we are contracted with all the big named Insurance companies that you know. We are not loyal to them we are loyal to our customers. A good agent will stay in touch and keep folks posted on changes in Medicare. We stay in touch with our clients. We check in regularly. This is how we can guarantee you the lowest price on the market that you qualify for. We send mail and correspondence and updates on Medicare all throughout the year but two very important times that we speak to our clients is the next fall time where we check out their drug plan. A lot of folks don’t realize that if you change just one medication, then there might be a better drug plan for you. The other thing we check on is the Medicare Supplement. This is called the Annual Rate Review. If someone hasn’t had someone checking on their plan at least every year or two, we might be able to save them considerably. The average currently seems to be approximately $60/mo or $720/year but we’ve saved folks $60/$70/$80/$100 a month depending on the situation. We monitor rate increases. Thanks for checking out The Top 5 Mistakes to avoid in Medicare. If you have any questions or if you like a second opinion on your Medicare supplement please feel free to call us (888) 506-7510. Medicare Explained (in under 4 minutes!) | The 4 Parts of Medicare

03:30
https://www.abtinsuranceagency.com/medicare | (888) 465-9728 Medicare Explained - There are 4 main Parts to Medicare: Part A, Part B, Part C and Part D. Part A is your hospital insurance. This Part of Medicare is usually free, and it helps to cover things like inpatient hospital care, skilled nursing facility care and some home health care. Part A does have some out of pocket costs associated with it – for example, in 2018 there is a $1,340 hospital deductible per 60 day benefit period, so it renews every 60 days. And there is also coinsurance associated with extended hospital days, and skilled nursing facility care. Medicare Part B is your Medical insurance. This helps to cover outpatient services, things like office visits, diagnostic testing, durable medical equipment and even most non self administered medications. Part B isn’t free – most people pay a standard premium of $134/month for Medicare Part B. Part B services are subject to an annual deductible ($183 in 2018) and then, Medicare Part B pays 80% of Part B covered services after the deductible is met – you pay 20%. Medicare Parts A and B together are called original Medicare. Medicare Part C is an optional way to receive your Medicare benefits – so it not mandatory, and in fact it is not ‘original medicare’. Medicare Part C is also called Medicare Advantage, and these are managed care plans that cover Part A and B benefits, and usually include prescription drug benefits as well. If you decide to go with a Medicare Advantage Plan, you typically receive services from network providers, and pay out of pocket in the form of co-pays and coinsurance for certain services. Medicare Part D is your prescription drug coverage. You can get Part D coverage either built into your Part C Medicare Advantage Plan, or if you have original Medicare you can purchase a stand alone Part D plan. Stand alone Part D plans are offered by different insurance companies and the plan that is best for you will be based on the medications you are taking currently. These are the four parts of Medicare explained in a nutshell! Medicare 101: Medicare Part D

02:48
----------------------------------------- http://www.Medigaplist.com Medicare Part D is probably the most confusing part of Medicare. It is the prescription drug plan part of Medicare, and for those of you who are taking prescription medications this is the worst part of Medicare. The Medigap plans and Medicare Advantage plans can seem like a piece of cake when comparing it to the Medicare drug plans, especially if you have to go through the donut hole. Medicare part D is the prescription drug program the government has in place to subsidize the cost of the medications that people who are over the age of 65 or on Medicare in the USA. It was started in 2006 but was enacted as part of the Medicare modernization act. If you are enrolled in medicare Part A, and Medicare Part B you can get a Medicare Part D plan. There is no underwriting done for these plans which means if you are on Medicare you can get a drug plan no matter what you have (Cancer, heart disease, etc). Most people who get a Medigap Plan F from companies such as AARP, Cigna or Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield will wan't to get a prescription drug plan. If you are on Mutual of Omaha Plan N you can still get an AARP Medicare prescription drug plan. If you are on an Advantage plan or an MAPD you will get the drug plan tied in with the Medical coverage. The Medicare Plan F is what the majority of the population on Medicare supplement plans have. There are so many prescription drug plans that are approved by the state governments that you must look at which ones are available by you. If you live in Colorado Springs the Medicare plans may be different than the plans in Denver Colorado. If you live in Jefferson County they could be different than the plans in Pueblo County. If your zip code is 80901 it could be different than the zip code 80942. I am mentioning Colorado just because I wanted to show how from state to state and zip code to zip code it can be different. Medicare Part D for Diabetes

02:22
click here----http://www.medigaplist.com When you are on Medicare with the biggest worry for most people are the prescription drug plans because the out of pocket costs are pricey. If you are taking Novolog or another Diabetes insulin pen you must do some work so that you are not going to automatically hit the Medicare part d donut hole. It isn't the same for someone taking a generic drug such as Lisinopril or lovastatin. These are the generic drugs that might cost $3 at Walgreens, CVS, or Walmart. The diabetes insulin injections can be costly and can put you into the donut hole in the first quarter of the year. Especially in 2014 when the donut hole is around 50% of your prescription drug retail cost. Many people that are taking Novolog or another diabetes insulin drug will be on a Medicare supplement plan F or a Medigap plan N and think that the costs are really low. They are. The costly part of Medicare plans are the part d Medicare prescription plans. If you compare the best Medicare part D plans and look at some of the out of pocket costs they can be very similar. A list of Medicare supplement plans with part d plans can show a person how to save money. I am using Novolog as an example but it is costly with all of the diabetes drugs. Health Insurance Vocab - Medicare Drug Donut Hole

00:29
Medicare Prescription Drug Donut Hole: Most plans with Medicare prescription drug coverage (Part D) have a coverage gap (called a "donut hole"). This means that after you and your drug plan have spent a certain amount of money for covered drugs, you have to pay all costs out-of-pocket for your prescriptions up to a yearly limit. Once you have spent up to the yearly limit, your coverage gap ends and your drug plan helps pay for covered drugs again.

Recent investigations show that OptumRx, UnitedHealthcare, Cigna, and Catamaran make their customers overpay for many commonly-used medicines. For example, if a drug costs $3.00 retail, your insurance might require you to pay $30.00 – ten times more – just because $30.00 is the stated copay.

2018/2019 Medicare Enrollment- Change Medicare Supplement, Medicare Advantage, Medicare Part D Plan

05:06
2018/2019 Medicare Enrollment- Change Medicare Supplement, Medicare Advantage or Medicare Part D Plan. What is the 2018/2019 Medicare Enrollment Period and why is it important to you? This video outlines what you can do and the changes you can make during the 2018 Medicare annual enrollment period, regardless of the type of Medicare coverage you have. The Annual Enrollment (Election) Period (AEP) takes place October 15 to December 7 and is available to all Medicare beneficiaries, especially those that have a Medicare Advantage "Part C" plan and/or a Medicare drug plan "Part D". If you have a Medicare Supplement insurance plan "Medigap" and want to change your plan for any reason, you can do that at any time during the year. During the Annual Election Period: Beneficiaries may add or drop MA (Medicare Advantage) and/or drug coverage, or return to Original Medicare. No action is needed if the beneficiary chooses to keep his/her current plan. She/he should check for any benefit changes under the plan. Beneficiaries may make more than one enrollment choice during the Annual Election Period, but the last one made prior to the end of the Annual Election Period, as determined by the date the plan or marketing representative receives the completed enrollment form, will be the election that takes effect. My name is Chad Cason and I just want you to know that at my agency we truly do care about people as well as helping them to make the right decision. :) For free help with your Supplement coverage please contact me at: Direct Line: (888) 901-4870 Email: chad@lifelonginsurance.com Website: www.lifelonginsurance.com You might also enjoy, “Medicare + Medicare Supplement Plan = 100% Coverage" https://www.youtube.com/edit?video_id=9C3kRL7Vc5c Social Media YouTube Channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCRYcmG-O1-7OczcYLzgR94Q/featured Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/lifelonginsurance/ Twitter https://twitter.com/LifelongIns Google Plus https://plus.google.com/u/0/b/100764442586203325713/+LifelonginsuranceHeretohelp Please Subscribe To Our Channel

How to track Medicare Part B Deductible for Medigap Plans G & N

08:17
888-411-1329 https://www.remedigap.com/ https://www.mymedicare.gov/ This video is all about tracking the Part B deductible so you don’t accidentally overpay it. This is especially important if you have Medicare Supplement plan G or Medicare Supplement plan N because you will receive bills from medical providers and you want to make sure you pay only the amount you’re responsible for. Once you overpay, then you have to try and get your money back from the provider. This can lead to stress and time wasted. I’ll show you some great ways you can track the Part B deductible. The Part B Deductible is actually the medical deductible, so doctor visits, lab work, durable medical equipment are some of the type of claims that are applied towards the Part B deductible. There are several easy techniques for tracking the Part B deductible. And, it's always a great idea to cross reference using the ideas in this video. This will help if you get a bill from the provider that includes more than what you think you should pay. Medicare providers will sometimes send a bill and include the Part B coinsurance, so it's important to know what you've already paid. This video includes a Client Case Study that shows exactly how you can accidentally be overcharged after meeting the Part B deductible. And as a side note, if you have Medigap Plan N, you'll want to keep your co-pay and deductible information separate. Overall, keeping track of the Medicare Part B deductible is very easy. It's also time well spent on the front end to avoid overpaying later on. This is especially important if you have Medigap Plan G or Medigap Plan N insurance.

Medicare Open Enrollment 2018 - What to do... What not to do...

14:53
Medicare Open Enrollment 2018. Complete Medicare Resource Center here: http://www.MedicareonVideo.com 1-877-88KEITH (53484) Medicare Open Enrollment 2018 starts from October 15th to December 7t h. During this time, all Medicare members can update or alter their medical protection schemes. This includes changes to current Medicare healthcare plans that will come into effect in 2019. Learning of the purpose for enrollment and the options available, can help you best prepare for updated medical and prescription coverage. Your Options for Medicare Enrollment 2018 During the Open Enrollment period for Medicare, all registered members are provided the chance to change their healthcare plan. If you wish to upgrade your prescription cover or completely change your general healthcare program, the Medicare Open Election period 2019 allows you to do so easily and conveniently. You can upgrade your Medicare Advantage Plan or your Medicare Part D plan or prescription benefits. Qualifying seniors over the age of 65 years who qualify for Medicare plans may find their cover insufficient for their specific wellness, clinical and chronic care needs. Unfortuantely, you cannot alter your coverage halfway through the year if you find it does not provide what you are looking for. The enrollment period between October and early December offers the chance to make these amendments that become active in January 2018. For Medicare Advantage or prescription cover, members can complete their updates during the stipulated enrollment period with ease. There is no need to register membership for the change in protection or fill out lengthy and complex forms. For those who reside in a chronic care facility or have received a diagnosis of End Stage Renal Disease, you will not be eligible to enroll for the Medicare Advantage Plan at this time. Notice of Change You may receive an Annual Notice of Change or ANOC for the enrolment period, but documents received through the course of the year concerning your healthcare plan should be reviewed. If you wish to alter the policy, you must learn which options or modifications to plans, can better meet personal health needs. Remaining aware of policy features including the extent of cover, benefits and costs can help you determine whether your current medical care plan is sufficient for the new year. If you are satisfied with your protection, simply leave the cover unchanged and it will continue into the new year. Where dissatisfaction with a policy is apparent, be sure to amend your cover during the 2018 Medicare Enrollment period. Enrollment Restrictions You cannot register for a Part B Medicare plan if you are applying for cover for the first time during enrollment. If you are interested in changing your coverage from a Medicare Advantage to a Medigap plan, it cannot be initiated without completing a medical questionnaire. Important Medicare 2018 Enrollment Considerations Learn whether your current prescriptions will continue to be covered in the new year. Part D Medicare patients may be protected for specific prescriptions in 2018 only to have to pay a deductible or co-payment for a certain category of medication owing to changes in suppliers. Your Open Enrollment allows you to update your prescription policy ensuring your medication is comprehensively covered in 2018. During an Open Enrollment, carefully assess your plans to prevent excessive costs for your healthcare in the new term. Medicare Part D Colorado

01:24
--------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.Medigaplist.com There are so many Medicare plans to choose from when dealing with Medicare part D. So much confusion when it comes to the donut hole in Medicare. The premium cost of all of these plans are different, the co pays are different, the mail order pharmacies, the drugs, the Lipitor generic, the simvastatin. It goes on and on, and the one general consensus is that Medicare Part D prescription drug plans are just darn confusing. Rocky mountain health plans in Colorado are easier to figure out than the drug plans for Part D. The first step is to get your Medicare A and B card. If you already have that taken care of and you have a Medicare supplement plan in place the battle is almost won. Maybe it is the annual enrollment period and you simply want to change your drug plan or switch from a Medicare advantage plan. Maybe you just are tired of running your drugs through the system only to find out the Medicare approved part D plans are all expensive. My advice is to get a broker to help you through this. Why is it that people always want to do things themselves? It doesn't cost you anything more to get a Medicare broker to walk you through this time period. If you want Medicare Part D info and you are tired of looking around then call us at Medigaplist. We can help. So many people have asked me what the best Medicare drug plan is and I always tell them it is different for everyone. The AARP drug plan from United Healthcare is the best Medicare drug plan in Colorado for certain people. Humana is the best Medicare Part D plan for someone else. It really depends on the drugs you take. If you take Lisinopril to treat high blood pressure aka hypertension, or you take another ACE inhibitor, the plan isn't going to be the samer Part D Medicare plan that someone taking Actos or Avandia. Omeone who is taking Valium or a Xanax obviously has a different condition than someone taking Altocor, lovastatin or Crestor. Would you take Aviane or a ethinyl estradiol/levonorgestrel for your back pain; I don't think so. oyu need to get a list of Medicare Part D drug plans and compare the premiums. You also want to compare the best Medigap plan F and see if you can save money on your supplemental Medigap plan. Medicare Supplement vs Medicare Advantage: Which one is better?

05:29
Selecting between Medicare Supplement and Medicare Advantage plans is an important decision for those turning 65 or retiring and selecting their Medicare coverage for the first time. This video explains the difference between Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplement plans, also known as Medigap. We will cover things like the premium, cost, copay, deductible, out of pocket expenses, and networks of these two popular supplement insurance plans. This video will help in your decision making process as you select between Medicare Advantage and Medicare supplement plans. This is another one of the most common questions that we get here at Medicare hero is how do I decide which type of coverage is really best for me. Medicare Supplement: So first let's talk about Medicare supplement plans. The monthly premiums for Medicare supplement plans range from about $85 to $170 dollars a month, actually for people turning 65 I see an average of about $100 to $120 per month for their coverage. The premiums you pay all depends on your age, gender, and where you live. With a Medicare Supplemental plans we can see any doctor or any Hospital in the entire country that accepts Medicare there's absolutely no networks, and when we go to see those doctors there's no co-pays, no deductibles, and no out-of-pocket expenses. All we do is pay our monthly Insurance premiums and we're done. Additionally with a Medicare supplement plan you never need a referral to see a specialist, and again it doesn't matter which insurance company you select such as AARP United Healthcare, Humana, Aetan, Cigna, Mutual of Omaha, or New Era, you can always go see a specialist without a referral when you have a Medigap Plan. Now the last part of Medicare I want to talk about is prescription drug coverage, Part D of Medicare. With a Medicare supplement plan you can select independently of your Medicare supplement insurance company a prescription drug RX plan. Medicare Advantage: Medicare Advantage plans were created as a low cost alternative to Original Medicare and Medicare supplement plans. When I say lower-cost what I mean is lower monthly premiums. So the premiums for Medicare advantage plans can be anywhere from $0 in addition to what you're already paying for part b of Medicare up to $60 or $70 and premiums can even be as high as a hundred dollars a month. The key with Medicare Advantage plans is that we want to keep our premiums low because that is the advantage is low monthly premiums. So one of the compromises that Medicare Advantage plans make in order to get those low monthly premiums is they have network so you want to make sure that your doctors and hospitals that you choose to use are in the network for the insurance company you're looking at. This means that Medicare insurance companies such as AARP United Healthcare will have a different network then Humana, Aetna, or bluecross blueshield. So just be careful make sure your doctors, specialists and hospitals are in network. Also your Networks and doctors can change mid-year but we can't necessarily change our Part C coverage. Additionally because we now get those low monthly premiums we now have to pay deductibles co-pays and other charges when we use our insurance coverage. So if you see a specialist you might have a small copay, if you go to the hospital you will have to pay a certain amount of pocket. So we get low monthly premiums with Medicare Advantage plans but then we have to spend money the more we use our healthcare insurance. Additionally Many of the most affordable Part C Medicare Advantage plans do require referrals to see a specialist. Now that we've had all the key points both Medicare advantage and Medicare supplement plans what's the bottom line? Well Medicare supplement plans are best for people who can afford the extra premiums and if you most value your choice of doctors and hospitals as well as a predictable healthcare budget where you're not going to have large healthcare expenses throughout the year. You know if you just pay your monthly premiums you're going to be set. Medicare Advantage plans on the other hand are simply the best if you're looking for low monthly premiums. Medicare Part D Colorado 2

01:27
http://www.Medigaplist.com ----------------- There are so many Medicare plans to choose from when dealing with Medicare part D. The bottom line is you want the best Medigap plan F or Plan G you can find if it's affordable, you want a great Medicare part D plan, you need to make sure you can handle the Medicare Part A and B premium, and you want a good dental plan from a company such as Delta Dental. AARP Medicare Supplement Plan F - Is It The Best Medicare Supplement?

02:43
Call (888) 310-0376 to Get a Quote. AARP Medicare Supplement Plan F is offered by United Healthcare. This video addresses whether or not AARP Plan F is the best Medicare supplement. Visit http://affordablemedicareplan.com to get access to hundreds of articles on Medicare supplements, Medicare Advantage and Part D insurance. The first thing you should understand about Medicare supplement policies (also known as Medigap) is that plans are standardized. That means that the core benefits contained in AARP Medicare supplement Plan F will be the same no matter which insurance company makes Plan F available. AARP is not the insurance company. United Healthcare is the insurance company. In order to buy an AARP Medicare branded supplement you will need to be a member of AARP. There are many benefits of membership beyond being able to buy a supplement and the annual fee is very reasonable. As far as AARP Medicare supplement being the best medicare supplement, the question really needs to be re-phrased in light of understanding that Medigap policies are standardized plans. A better question would be, "Is AARP Medicare supplement Plan F the most comprehensive?" And the answer would be yes. In addition to Plan F paying your share of expenses for all Medicare-covered services, AARP Plans include discounts on vision, drugs and include a Silver Sneakers Gym membership. The discount on drugs is just that, a discount. It is not Medicare part D drug coverage nor a replacement for Part D. Wednesday Medicare Supplement Rate Watch

This Wednesday Medicare Supplement Rate Watch is focused on Medgiap Plan G, for a female, ages 65, 70 and 75 in Dallas County Texas (zip code 75043). As I have said before, Medicare Supplement plans are all Federally regulated by the government. There is no reason for anyone to pay more with one carrier over another because the letter of the plan dictates the coverage, not the carrier. You are not getting any additional benefits by paying more. That’s why it is important to shop your coverage every year, and we can help you with that. You may ask, “Why do these companies charge different prices if they are all the same?” That’s a great question. Carriers have different administrative costs and they have different profit goals. There’s tons of different reasons why these big companies charge different prices. What you need to know is, just like in your Medicare book, Plan G is the same with every carrier. Best Medicare Supplement Plan Buying Medicare Supplement Insurance

03:04
Best Medicare Supplement Plan Buying Medicare Supplement Insurance. How do buy Medicare Supplement insurance the right way? Hi, my name is Chad Cason and in this video, I’m going to share with you a few tips on buying Medicare Supplement insurance. I know it can seem complicated to navigate through all of the Medicare Supplement Options which is why I have made this video to help make it easy for you. Medicare Supplement insurance is the same thing as Medigap insurance. These insurance plans help to pay the hospital and doctor expenses that regular Medicare doesn’t pay. Regular Medicare, which consists of Part A and Part B, will only cover 80% of your hospital and doctor expenses, which leaves you with the other 20%, plus the Medicare deductibles…and, there is no maximum to how much you of the 20% coinsurance you could pay. There are 11 Medicare Supplement plans to choose from in the country and each of these plans cover that 20%, plus the Medicare deductibles… a little bit differently. Medicare Supplement plans are also identified by letters, for example, Plan F or Plan G… and the plans begin with Plan A and go through Plan N. Yes, there is a Medicare Supplement Plan A, Plan B, Plan C and Plan D, not to be confused with the different parts of Medicare; Part A, Part B, Part C and Part D. The easiest way to shop for Medicare Supplement plans is to have an independent agent run quotes, using your zip code, with all the companies in your state. The plans are standardized, which means that the plan you’re interested in, say Plan G, the benefits of that plan and how it pays… is the same with every company that offers the Plan G, the only difference being the rate. The advantage in working with an independent agent like me… is that I’m free to walk you through any of the Medicare Supplement plans in your area with all the reputable carriers and be your agent, AND the rate is the same whether you use me or go direct with the company. But, that’s really not advisable, as I look out for your interests not only in the first year, but each year after that, too. And again, my service is free to you. If I can answer any questions for you or run a quote for you, please contact me, and I’d be more than happy to help!
