The super foods listed below are known their extraordinary cervical cancer fighting nutrients. 1, Papaya. Originally from Central America, the papaya plant is today cultivated in most tropical countries. Termed as the "fruit of the angels" by Christopher Columbus, papaya is a true nutritional powerhouse. It is one of the best fruit sources of vitamin C (even better than oranges), but it also contains beta-cryptoxanthin and zeaxanthin. This nutrient combo has been associated with lower rates of HPV infection, and experts believe that consuming just one papaya per week could already reduce a woman's risk of contracting cervical cancer. 2, Raspberries. Raspberries are bursting with nutrients and flavor, yet they are very low in calories. Clinical studies indicate that daily consumption of red raspberries may prevent the development of cells infected with HPV. This effect is most probably due to raspberries' high concentration of ellagic acid — a natural compound that has anti-mutagenic and anti-carcinogenic properties. In some cases, it has also been able to cause apoptosis (cell death) in cancer cells. Furthermore, the ellagic acid found in red raspberries retains its potency through heating and freezing. So, regardless of whether you eat your raspberries fresh, frozen or heated, you will reap their cancer-fighting benefits. 3, Green Tea. The weight loss promoting effects of green tea are well-known, but the health benefits of drinking green tea are more varied than that. Indeed, evidence suggests that green tea may also help prevent many types of cancer, including cervical cancer. Catechins, the same compounds that are responsible for green tea's weight loss promoting properties, have been shown to be extremely effective at protecting cells against DNA damage caused by free radicals. But the anti-cancer activities of green tea do not end there. Green tea has also been shown to suppress urokinase, a type of enzyme that is thought to play a key role in cancer cell metastasis (spreading) in cervical cancer patients. When buying green tea, choose loose tea leaves instead of tea bags as the release of catechins is better from loose leaves. You may also want to add a bit of citrus juice rich in vitamin C to your tea — research suggests that vitamin C can make the catechins in green tea more available for the body to absorb. 4, Asparagus. Asparagus is at the top of the list of foods with the highest concentration of glutathione (349 nM glutathione/g wet weight), a 'master antioxidant' that has gained the spotlight in recent years. Glutathione has widespread functions, many of which may contribute to a reduced risk of cervical cancer. For example, glutathione has been shown to be effective at protecting cells against free radical damage, detoxifying foreign substances such as carcinogens, and boosting the immune system by influencing lymphocytes. As an additional bonus, this exceptional plant is typically low in pesticides, even the non-organically grown produce. 5, Carrots. You've probably heard that carrots are good for your eyes, but did you know that they may also help protect against cervical cancer? These protective effects are thought to be linked to carrots' strong antioxidant properties. Carrots also contain falcarinol — a natural compound that appears to be highly effective at inhibiting the development of cancer. Scientists found that rats that had pre-cancerous tumors and that were fed carrots were one third less likely to develop full-scale tumors than the animals in the control group. If you prefer cooked carrots over raw ones, it is best to keep the vegetables whole during boiling or steaming and chop them only afterwards; this helps them retain antioxidant nutrients and falcarinol. And your Central Nervous System (CNS) controls most functions of your body and mind. It’s basically your brain and spinal cord. Simply stated, when these neurotoxins get into your body and “attack” your CNS, they negatively affect how you feel and function. All of your senses (sight, sound, smell, taste, touch, etc.). Your organs and stomach. Muscle movements and strength. Your emotions, mood, memory, cognition, sleep, etc., etc. Obviously, this is a really big deal. More so, it’s a massive problem because the FDA allows over allows 3,000 food additives to be used in our food supply and relatively few of them have been tested for safety. (1) Unfortunately, a handful of food additives are well-documented neurotoxins, but are still found in popular foods most people eat daily, even in relatively healthy diets. Neurotoxin #1: Aspartame Artificial Sweetener Aspartame is a very popular artificial sweetener, especially about a decade ago. It’s found in most things labeled “sugar-free” or “diet”. Its typically found in diet sodas, candies, chewing gum and so forth. You know, a lot of the stuff the kids eat, unfortunately. The brand name is Equal or NutraSweet and sadly, I used to have a lot of this junk over 20 years ago. There are over 100+ reported side effects of aspartame including migraines, dizziness, anxiety, memory loss, insomnia, and the worsening of many disorders ranging from fibromyalgia to Alzheimer’s disease. (2) In fact, there were over 7,000 aspartame side effects reported to the FDA (US Food and Drug Administration) between 1982 and 1995. (3) You can also find lists of reported side effects on various reputable websites including Cancer.org and CDC.gov. So, make sure you read the label and avoid this artificial sweetener. In fact, avoid them all except one of my favorites being, Stevia -- which is a natural, herbal extract. Neurotoxin #2: Monosodium Glutamate (MSG) This basically acts like salt and it’s found in many packaged foods you eat, also when eating out. The saltier the food, the higher the MSG. They used to be heavily used in Chinese Foods. MSG is very addictive and causes you to gain weight, but I’ll get to that in a minute. Many times MSG is found in foods like canned soups, salty snacks, ramen noodles, processed meats and refined soy products. Also in many “spices”, broths and “flavorings”. Unfortunately, the labels do NOT have to even say “Contains MSG”. Many times, using the word “natural flavoring” allows the use of MSG, without stating it on the label (thank you FDA!). Here are some label-listed ingredients that always contain MSG: (25) • hydrolyzed vegetable protein • hydrolyzed plant protein • hydrolyzed protein • plant protein extract • calcium caseinate • sodium caseinate • yeast extract • textured protein MSG has many negative mental and physical side-effects -- however, one that most people don’t know about is that it has a “negative nutrient partitioning” effect. This means that when you eat foods with MSG, the food converts much faster to BODY FAT, than to be used as energy and muscle building. So you can basically eat the same amount of calories, but get fatter because of this artificial salt. Neurotoxin #3: Diacetyl (In Popcorn) Home-popped, microwave popcorn contains butter “flavoring”, with an additive called, diacetyl. You won’t see the word diacetyl on the label, but if you see “artificial butter flavor” or “natural flavors,” assume the product contains this neurotoxin. Neurotoxin #4: Mercury In recent years, I’ve been much more concerned about mercury poisoning because I’ve been eating more fish. I go out and eat sushi. Unfortunately, many fish have high levels of mercury, due to environmental pollutants in the air and water. This includes one of my favorite fish, TUNA - which I now avoid. You also want to avoid swordfish and orange roughy. Neurotoxin #5: Aluminum The last neurotoxin you want to avoid is Aluminium, because there’s 50 years of proof that it can lead to Alzheimer’s. You’ll feel better, work better, and block disease by getting at least eight hours of sleep each night. The easiest thing to do is grab a sleeping pill, but is that a good idea? It may work for a little while, but it’s really harming your body’s health and natural abilities. Sleeping pills can come along with dizziness, constipation, stomach pain, a hard time paying attention, memory problems, and harm to the central nervous system. If you do not want the bad things that come with sleeping pills, what can you do? The answer is banana cinnamon tea. Using the soothing value of banana, the banana peel, and cinnamon is a great way to push insomnia and other sleeping disorders aside. Bananas are full of potassium and magnesium. Most people do not know that the banana peel has even more potassium and magnesium than the banana, and they just throw it away. Not anymore! With this simple recipe, you can get the help from the potassium and magnesium in the banana peel. Potassium and magnesium are helpful to the nervous system and are great for soothing the muscles. In fact, magnesium is the most important mineral to ease muscles and can lessen muscle cramps and other aches and pains. Cinnamon is great because it evens out blood sugar levels. When blood sugar levels are even, your hormones can work in a way that lets you sleep better. If your blood sugar levels are off, then you may have energy at night, or be tired during the day. Here’s the recipe: Ingredients: 1 organic banana (with peel) 1 small pot of water A sprinkle of cinnamon (if you’d like) Step 1: Cut off both ends of the banana (top and bottom) Step 2: Put the banana into a pot of boiling water. It’s even better if the water is spring water or filtered in some way. Boil it for about 10 minutes. Sprinkle some cinnamon in the water as well. If you’d like to add some stevia for sweetening, do so. Stevia helps to even out blood sugar levels, and will not raise blood sugar levels before bed. Step 3: Add more cinnamon if you’d like, and enjoy! Avoidance of institutionalized healthcare is likely to increase as long as corporate influence on government continues and the medical establishment holds the interests of pharmaceutical corporations and other related businesses over those of the individual. Background The Codex Alimentarius Commission (CAC), based inRome,Italy, is an international organization jointly created by the Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) and the World Health Organization (WHO) of the United Nations. The Codex Committee on Nutrition and Foods for Special Dietary Use (CCNFSDU) is responsible for Dietary Supplements and Medical Foods and is one of some 27 separate Codex committees. The CCNFSDU meets annually and the National Health Federation is a Codex-recognized organization with the right to attend and speak out at these meetings. Established in 1955, the National Health Federation is an international nonprofit, consumer-education, health-freedom organization working to protect individuals' rights to choose to consume healthy food, take supplements and use alternative therapies without government restrictions. The purpose of Codex is to provide a forum to facilitate global trade in foods and promote consumer food safety by developing science based standards and guidelines for use by member countries. Codex guidelines and standards are automatically implemented by the General Agreement on Trade & Tariffs (GATT) of the WHO and become binding for all international trade among GATT signatory countries. The National Health Federation opposes the current Codex member states who wrongly believe that consumer health will be enhanced by: (1) denying that dietary supplements can benefit normal, healthy people; (2) incorrectly defining dietary supplements as only those vitamins and minerals that the body cannot manufacture itself; (3) restricting the upper-limit amounts of vitamins and minerals, particularly by referring to currently-crude and archaic medical beliefs about nutrients; (4) restricting any physiological benefit information for consumers; (5) restricting the lower-limit amounts of vitamins and minerals that may be consumed by individuals; and (6) creating 'positive' and 'negative' lists of dietary supplements. The current direction of Codex is off course and is unfortunately driven by a statist and elitist mentality that thinks it knows what is best for consumer health and protection. This mindset comes from the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s kind of 'brave new world' thinking that elevated central planners into a form of God on Earth. That kind of out-dated thinking has caused more misery, death and disease than can possibly be imagined. With the doubling time of knowledge constantly accelerating, mankind cannot afford the 'luxury' of getting stuck in health standards established in the 20th Century while new health knowledge and products are discovered almost daily.
