What is the BEST NATURAL FLEA TREATMENT for Dogs & Cats

10:09
https://www.epicnaturalhealth.com/what-is-the-best-natural-flea-treatment-for-my-cat-or-dog/ What is the best natural flea treatment for dogs & Cats flea's bite will cause painful, itchy irritation in dogs and cats and people are not immune to flea bites as well. Fleas (like bedbugs) can reproduce pretty quickly, making your home quite uncomfortable. Most people want to Get rid of fleas as quickly as possible will ensure they don't spread from your pet (or yard) to people. The problem with many flea killers is that they contain nasty chemicals. commercial flea collars are often not popular especially when your kids and other family members play with the pet, they’re also being exposed to toxic pesticides and other chemicals. Here are some natural remedies to ensure that your pets, and your home, are itch-free! 1. Make your own non-toxic flea killer-with 1/2 cup of baking soda and 1/2 teaspoon of essential orange oil. Combine the oil and baking soda into a jar. Shake well to combine and then sprinkle your pet and rub the powder mixture into their skin. 2. make an anti flea shampoo - by using 1/2 cup of dog shampoo mixed with 1/2 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice and two cups of water. Wash your dog weekly to the kill the critters. Many natural flea sprays contain a citrus extract called D-limonene, which repels and kills these biting bugs. PUBLIC DOMAIN 3. Keep fleas away from your yard with landscaping The easiest way to get rid of fleas is to not get them in the first place. Deter fleas (and other annoying bugs) by choosing your landscaping wisely. Planting lemon balm, sage, catnip, mint, basil, and lemongrass throughout your garden and keeping pots of the same herbs near outside living areas. . Make your own flea color Keep your pup safe while he plays in the backyard by making your own flea collar from a bandana. Mix 3 to 5 drops of lavender oil with 1 to 3 tablespoons of water. Use an eye dropper to apply a few drops of the solution to the bandana and tie it loosely around your pet's neck Bathe Your Pets And Pet Bedding Each Week While bathing your pets may seem obvious, many people overlook the importance of proper pet hygiene to keep fleas and ticks at bay. Fleas are less attracted to clean pets, which is another reason why frequent bathing of your dog and cat is so important. Use a natural shampoo or peppermint shampoo, and add 2 cups of apple cider vinegar to the warm bath water, which will provide even more flea protection. And don’t neglect to clean your pets’ bedding! Washing their bedding regularly in hot water with a mild detergent will eliminate flea eggs and larvae. Use a Flea Comb Each Day Using a fine flea comb not only helps to prevent flea infestation, but also removes existing pests. Dead pet hair lands on mats, which provide the perfect hiding spot for ticks and a lush breeding ground for fleas. For the best results, comb your furry friends’ stomach, tail and face, which is where pests typically hang out in the largest numbers. Combing also provides you with the ability to find and remove any recent ticks Apple Cider Vinegar Flea Deterrents Another wonderful do-it-yourself natural flea repellent spray is made with apple cider vinegar which I mentioned earlier. It’s easy to prepare and poses no risk to your pets’ health. Simply mix equal parts apple cider vinegar and water. Add the mixture to a spray bottle and frequently spritz it on your dog or cat pet. It’s recommended that you also spray the mixture on their bedding. You can make this apple cider spray even more powerful by adding a few drops of essential oils that are distasteful to fleas, such as lemongrass, neem and catnip oil. The Flea-Busting Power of Coconut Oil Why is coconut oil such an effective flea repellent? It’s packed with lauric acid, which is coconut oil’s “secret ingredient” that deters both fleas and ticks. It’s also great for providing your cat or dog with healthy skin and coat! If your pet already has fleas, you can dip your hands in coconut oil and massage them deep into your pet’s coat, working all the way down to the skin. Next, take a fine flea comb and comb it through the fur. The coconut oil will cause the fleas to stick to the comb, and the rest will be repelled by the coconut oil and jump off! Brewer’s Yeast Both fleas and ticks have an aversion to the vitamin thiamine, which is abundant in brewer’s yeast. Thiamine is a member of the B vitamin group, and is a non-toxic way to repel fleas and ticks, and also boost your cat or dog’s immune system. How does it work? When your pet consumes brewer’s yeast, it ingests thiamine and later exudes it through its skin. Fleas are repelled by the taste and odor. Use 1mg per 5 lbs. of body weight in your pet’s food. You can also help keep fleas away from your dog or cat by rubbing brewer's ye Diatomaceous Earth is another popular natural flue treatment https://www.epicnaturalhealth.com/what-is-the-best-natural-flea-treatment-for-my-cat-or-dog/

Flea Treatment For Humans & Pets - How To Treat Flea Bites on Humans & Pets - Flea Treatment At Home

Flea Treatment For Humans: In this video, we are going to share flea treatment for humans - how to treat flea bites on humans & pets-flea treatment at home for pets. Subscribe to our channel for more videos. Watch: (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jSliLuYKGl0) How to Treat Flea Bites on Humans and Pets Fleas are tiny, irritating insects that mostly attack pets. But, if you have pets or live in an area where fleas are common, chances are high that you may also suffer from flea bites. Flea bites are itchy as well as painful. The bites may appear as small, red bumps, typically in groups of three or four or in a straight line. They are most often seen around the ankles or legs, however, bites can also be noticed around the waist, armpits or in the folds of the elbows and knees Excessive scratching can damage the skin and lead to a secondary bacterial infection. To treat and prevent flea bites, your first line of defense should be controlling the infestation. At the same time, there are many natural methods that you can use to quickly treat flea bites on yourself as well as your pets. Here are the top 10 ways to treat flea bites on humans and pets. 1. Cold Compresses Applying a cold compress can help stop itching and pain due to flea bites. This remedy works for humans as well as pets. The cold temperature has a numbing effect on the nerve endings that helps soothe the itching sensation. It also reduces swelling. 1.Clean the site of the bite and the area around it with warm, soapy water. 2.Wrap a few ice cubes in a thin washcloth. 3.Put the ice pack on the affected area for no more than 2 to 3 minutes. 4.Take a break, then reapply the pack. 5.Continue doing this for 10 to 15 minutes, a few times a day. Note: Do not apply ice directly on the skin, as it can lead to ice burns. 2. Baking Soda Another great remedy for flea bites on humans and pets is baking soda. Being a natural acid neutralizer, it provides instant relief from itching. It also reduces swelling and inflammation as well as the risk of infection. Simply mix 1 teaspoon of baking soda with a little water and apply the thin paste on the flea bite. Leave it on for 5 to 10 minutes, then rinse it off with cool water. Use this remedy 1 or 2 times a day only. Alternatively, add 1 cup of baking soda to a bathtub filled with cool water. Stir it well. Soak yourself in this soothing water for 10 minutes, then pat yourself dry with a soft towel. Do this once daily. Both cats and dogs can be treated with a paste made from 1 teaspoon of baking soda and a little water to prevent itching and scratching. Use a cotton ball to apply this mixture on the affected area. Leave it on for 5 minutes, then rinse it off with cool water. In case your pet is itching all over, give your pet a bath with ½ to 1 cup of baking soda mixed in its bath water. Note: Do not use baking soda on broken skin or open wounds. 3. Apple Cider Vinegar Raw and unfiltered apple cider vinegar is another excellent home remedy to treat flea bites. This remedy works well for humans as well as pets. It can help reduce inflammation and soothe itching on the affected area. Its acetic acid content also prevents infections. Dip a cotton ball in raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar and place it on the affected area. Let it sit for 5 minutes, then remove the cotton ball. Try this effective remedy a few times a day until you get relief. If it causes irritation, try diluting the apple cider vinegar with water before applying it. For pets, mix equal parts of raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar and water in a spray bottle. Spray the solution on the affected areas on your pet’s body. Be careful to avoid spraying it in your pet’s eyes, ears and nose. Repeat a few times daily. You can also spray the solution on flea-infested surfaces. Cat Skin Allergies Symptoms and Treatment

01:40
In this video from the Cat Health Guide on cat skin allergies, Dr. Patrick McHale, DVM describes the steps a veterinarian will take when diagnosing and treating a cat skin allergy problem (see http://www.cat-health-guide.org/feline-skin-allergies.html for more information). With skin allergies in cats, the first step is to check for a flea problem. A veterinarian will look for signs such as black specks or "flea dirt." If this is the case then steps will be taken to kill the fleas and provide a preventative. If the cat is already on flea treatment, then the vet will look at feline skin allergy due to inhaled allergens or a food allergy. Any food component or ingredient can be the cause of an allergic skin reaction in a cat or kitten including something as common as fish. First a veterinarian will experiment with an elimination diet which seeks to identify the ingredient causing the problem. If it cannot be identified, then a hypoallergenic diet can be considered.

.How to Treat Dermatitis Naturally|how to treat flea allergy dermatitis in cats naturally Dermatitis, or eczema, is an inflammatory skin condition producing symptoms like swelling, itching, burning and redness over the skin. It can be an acute reaction or become chronic and persist over weeks to years. It can affect absolutely any part of the body from the scalp and palms to the most intimate of areas. In eczema it becomes necessary to break the itch-scratch-itch cycle, as that prevents healing and recovery of the skin naturally. Luckily, there are plenty of home remedies that can help in any type of dermatitis to soothe the burning and itching and aid faster healing, starting with Step 1 below. 1 Get more vitamin E. Vitamin E oil is reported to help restore the elasticity of the skin. What's more, when vitamin E oil is applied on the affected area it can provide instant relief from itching and inflammation, too.[14] You can also try lotions and creams containing vitamin E that help in promoting the healing of inflamed skin. Regular intake of vitamin E enriched foodstuffs like almonds can also help in preventing dermatitis from worsening. You can safely apply a vitamin E cream twice a day over the affected skin, consume 5 almonds, or have a supplement containing 15mg vitamin E each day for the same effect. How to Stop a Cat from Pulling Its Hair Out || Pet Care Tips

01:53
How to Stop a Cat from Pulling Its Hair Out || Pet Care Tips =========================================== =========================================== 1. Understand pet allergies. If humans have an allergy, say for instance hay fever, we tend to get sore eyes, a runny nose, and sneeze. Cats, however, react differently. The commonest manifestation of an allergy in cats is itchy skin, which in turns results in excessive grooming and pulling hair out. 2. Explore possible environmental allergens. Potentially anything in the environment can be an allergen, if the cat is sensitive to it. Common allergens include house dust mites, grass pollens, tree pollens, and flea bites. 3. Eliminating possible environmental causes. Unfortunately, it is notoriously difficult to diagnose the exact allergen which the cat is reacting against. Blood tests or skin prick tests that can be run on dogs, yield almost random (and very unreliable) results in the cat 4. Use anti-inflammatories to decrease irritation. The vet will first make a judgement call as to whether treatment is necessary or not. The drugs used to decrease itch can have side effects and your vet should make an educated decision about whether the benefits outweigh the risks. 5. Assess whether your cat has a flea allergy. A common cause of skin irritation are parasites, especially fleas. When a flea bites it injects saliva into the cat's skin, which acts as a potent allergen.

How to get rid of fleas on a cat and in your house

05:49
Fleas in cats are extremely common and as a cat owner you will probably have to deal with this problem at some point. The most obvious sign that your cat has fleas is persistent and intense scratching, or sometimes over-grooming, which can result in bald patches on their coat. Also, if your cat has black pepper like specs in her fur and leaves them on the bedding and furniture, became more agitated and irate, and is avoiding certain parts of the house then she definitely has fleas and you need to act fast. Treat both your cat and your home, as only 5% of fleas will live in the environment. The fleas will reside on your carpet, bedding and living areas. Here is what you should do to get rid of fleas in your house: a) Daily vacuum. Vacuum the house twice a day for at least two weeks. b) Was everything you can wash. Wash all bedding and removable furniture covers weekly, Wash every single piece of your blanket, towel, clothing, etc. c) Use anti flea-spray once you have cleaned the house. Spray everywhere and leave the house for at least 2 hours. When it comes to fleas on cats the best thing to do is prevention. However, if you are beyond a point of prevention, this is what you should do: 1. Get a flea comb and comb your cat, Before combing fill a bowl with hot water and ad dish soap such as Dawn. Dip the brush into the mixture and brush your cat. Keep dunking the flea comb in the mixture again and again to keep it wet and to kill the fleas. Do this until there are no fleas left. 2. Give your cat a bath. Make sure you start to wash your cat from the head as the fleas will rush towards the head in order to survive. The ones in the hot water will die. Or you can put a ring of soap around the cats head in which way the fleas will die before being able to make it to the cats head. 3. Get good anti-flea medication. Some over the counter stuff may not work as well so you may need to go to your vet for stronger but more effective medication. Best Natural Flea Treatment For Cats

03:26
http://NaturalCatHealth.com/parasites The Best Natural Flea Treatment For Cats The best natural flea treatment for cats may not be what you think it is. In fact, it is, without a doubt, the best way to get rid of fleas on cats, natural or otherwise. It is also the best natural flea repellant for cats. Fleas on any furry animal are natural up to a point. The odd one will never cause a problem and you can do more harm than good by chasing an elusive flea. It’s the proliferation of fleas that are the problem. By the way, there is a popular feeling among vets that cats are allergic to fleas. They aren’t. Fleas are natural. But cats are allergic to many of the toxic flea preparations used to control these busy little insects. Even though an infestation of fleas can cause you and your cat an unpleasant problem, don’t blame the flea. They are only the messengers. What do I mean by that? If your cat has fleas, there is a reason. Fleas do a great job of cleaning up all the toxins that your cat releases through the skin. Any toxicity in any animal will always first find its exit point, the best way out, the least harmful way out, to release it, through the skin. This can and often does cause itching and various skin eruptions which can become infected. The normal veterinary solution is to kill the fleas, with highly toxic, even neurotoxic, chemicals. As well as to add in immune suppressive antibiotics. As is common with medical and veterinary treatments, the solution is often much worse than the original condition. A far better, and much more intelligent, approach to solve the problem is to look at the cause. As a natural health consultant, I am far more interested in causes than in the effects these causes have, which is secondary. If your cat is eliminating toxins through the skin, how are they getting into your cat? Surely that is a better consideration? Surely it is more effective to stop the toxins getting into your cat, so they don’t have to be eliminated? Then there won’t be a flea problem. Duh! Many people have no concept of how toxins are getting into themselves, let alone their cat. Here are the three most common ways: commercial cat food (contains many toxic chemicals despite claims to the contrary) veterinary medications, including vaccines, all contain toxic chemicals some household cleaners, air fresheners and furnishings contain toxic chemicals which off-gas continuously So what are the alternatives to these? What is a good cat food that doesn’t contain toxins? What effective health care system doesn’t poison your cat with toxins? What are more appropriate household cleaners, etc? How to Treat Seasonal Allergies in Cats | Cat Allergies: Symptoms, Causes, Treatments

05:27
Allergy season can be hard on our feline friends. Pollen, dust, mold, and other common allergens can be tough to handle for both cats and homeowners. The best treatment for feline allergies is simply to avoid all points of contact between your pet and the causes of their allergies. You may need to keep a watchful eye on pollen counts in your city and be especially mindful about tracking pollens into your house. If your cat escapes for a stroll through the neighborhood, you may want to rinse off any pollen they may have trapped in their fur. If itching and inflammation is very bad this season, you may want to consider changes in diet alongside medications like antihistamines, cyclosporine or corticosteroids. In this video, Sergio Canello explains how you can restore good health in your pet by eliminating certain foods that carry the most toxins. These toxins can cause your pet to experience food intolerances. Eliminate unwanted chemical residues like oxytetracycline (an antibiotic used in intensive meat farming) and restore omega3. Please be careful of harmful toxins that cause inflammatory symptoms in dogs and cats as a reaction. Change your pet's diet to something with Omega 3 and Omega 6. Doc Pawsitive Discusses Flea Allergy Dermatitis in Cats

04:02
Flea allergy dermatitis, often abbreviated FAD, is a common skin problem seen in dogs and cats as a result of the animals allergic reaction or hypersensitivity to flea saliva. Doc Pawsitive, Clair Thompson, the "Leader of the Pack" at PAWS Veterinary Clinic commonly sees this problem and often times owners are not even aware their pet has a flea issue. The allergic or hypersensitivity reaction is incited by the bodies overreaction or immunologic response to flea saliva. Cats typically present for hair loss, scabbing and sores over the skin, most commonly along the back and more prevalently the lower back near the base of the tail which is called a caudodorsal pattern. Doc Pawsitive discusses the use of steroids temporarily suppress the immunologic response and itching and promote the healing of the skin and sores. Doc also discusses the importance of a good flea control/prevention program involving feline Revolution applied topically once a month. A complete flea control program should also involve the use of an area spray for use in the home that not only kills adult fleas but contains an IGR or insect growth regulator to prevent flea eggs from hatching and prevent flea larvae from maturing to adult fleas.
