Sample Video of Canadian Cancer Society (mobile event app)
Created an event app prototype for Canadian Cancer Society's volunteers. The user flow walkthrough will answer the question of "What events can I volunteer now?". Canadian Cancer Society has their own mobile app but has been discontinued due to unforeseen circumstances. You can ask them personally about it. It took me 2weeks to work on this and it's a work in progress. Leave your constructive comments that can help me make it awesome. Note that UI is not included in this process since the scope and limitation are only focused on the UX flow. Enjoy and have a good day.

Cole Keffer cuts curls for Childhood Cancer Canada
For those of you who don't know me my name is Cole Keffer and I have had long curly blonde hair my whole life. My hair has been a big part of who I am as a person. I attribute lots of the success I have been fortunate to come across during my life to having this crazy hair. From early on it has acted as a kind of spotlight that has made me a fairly recognizable individual., although my name to some has only been "Goldilocks", "that blonde kid", "the dude with the long hair", being recognizable has, in part, been a reason I have been able to experience so much of the world. The time has come for someone else to get the benefit from these curls. I have made the decision cut my hair to raise money for Childhood Cancer Canada (CCC). There are thousands of children and their families affected by this terrible disease. Did you know that only 3% of cancer research dollars is allocated to childhood cancer? Childhood Cancer Canada is a great organization that is dedicated to helping these families affected by cancer by funding the most promising research, creating support communities and programs to help families cope with their child's diagnosis, and also by providing scholarships to cancer survivors. National Watch and Wait Webinar - Marg Meyer and Alyssa
Nurse Practitioner Marg Meyer joins Lymphoma Canada to present a Watch & Wait webinar where she will discuss the clinical evidence and applications for Watch & Wait, as well as some of the challenges faced by patients and coping tools. Lymphoma survivor Alyssa Burkus will also share her own personal experience and some of the ways she learned to cope with being put on Watch& Wait. Watch & Wait, also referred to as Watch & Worry, has been a protocol used by physicians treating indolent or slow growing lymphomas. People who are well, who do not have widespread symptoms, and whose lymph nodes are not obviously enlarging rapidly or threatening an organ may be advised that regular monitoring is the recommended course of action. This monitoring continues until the illness changes and treatment is considered necessary. Visit Lymphoma Canada's events page for upcoming events/webinars. Learn more here: http://c.nac.ca/1RyKruc | En savoir Plus : http://c.nac.ca/1RyKwhw The recent landmark report by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada on the abuses at residential schools states that art has the extraordinary ability to heal. The National Arts Centre hosted a timely panel discussion on art in the context of reconciliation moderated by Dr. Marie Wilson, Commissioner Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada, and featuring panelists Rachael Maza, acclaimed Australian theatre director of Jack Charles V The Crown (presented at the NAC), Joseph Boyden, author of the award-winning novels Three Day Road and The Orenda, and John Estacio, JUNO award nominated composer of I Lost My Talk, a new work inspired by the poem of Mi’kmaw elder Rita Joe. The panel discussion was introduced by The Right Honorable Joe Clark.

Standing Together Against Cancer | Woodcreek National Honor Society
This year at Woodcreek High School one of our fellow students Alex Parra was diagnosed with osteosarcoma bone cancer. Shortly after his 16th birthday he had to have one of his legs amputated. While a successful surgery, his current prosthetic keeps him dependent on crutches. His family, with the help of the Woodcreek National Honor Society hoped to raise money to buy a better prosthetic leg. He still undergoing chemotherapy but we will be with him every step of the way. Woodcreek NHS focused their annual Run-Walk Community Event to benefit their fellow student. This was what took place! Here is the link to his Go Fund Me Page https://www.gofundme.com/teamalex7 The National Honor Society (NHS) is the nation's premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS serves to recognize those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, and character. These characteristics have been associated with membership in the organization since its beginning in 1921. Today, it is estimated that more than one million students participate in NHS activities. NHS chapters are found in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, many U.S. territories, and Canada. Chapter membership not only recognizes students for their accomplishments, but challenges them to develop further through active involvement in school activities and community service.
