Explainer Video: How to use antibiotics correctly and avoid resistance? Motion graphics
Antibiotics—what you need to know Antibiotics are medications used to treat bacterial infections. They strategically kill pathogenic bacteria and impede their multiplication, thus allowing your body’s defense mechanisms to gain the upper hand in fighting the infection. The use of antibiotics is an integral part of modern medicine. Listen to your doctor and pharmacist! Over time and through frequent use, bacteria can become resistant to antibiotics. In order to prevent effective antibiotics for fighting off life-threatening illnesses from becoming unavailable in the future, we must handle these essential and life-saving medications responsibly. Antibiotics should only be taken if a doctor has prescribed them for a bacterial or parasitic infection. Proper administration of antibiotics can vary greatly and depends upon the illness and its severity. Doctors prescribe a particular antibiotic in the right concentration and for the suitable treatment duration. Patients should therefore respect doctors' instructions to the letter and not terminate treatment prematurely. Indications regarding the duration, frequency, concentration, quantity, and prescribed medication must be precisely complied with in order to promote treatment success and avoid the creation of resistance. Modern antibiotic treatment is brief but effective, as it is prescribed to counter specific bacteria and is highly dosed. Symptoms thus often improve significantly or even disappear entirely already on the second day of administration. This means that the body has the infection under control, but remaining potent bacteria are still present. In order for the antibiotic to render the bacteria harmless, however, patients must continue to take it as long as the doctor has recommended. Take note of interactions and side effects! Certain foods may weaken the effect of antibiotics. Milk, mineral water rich in calcium, and grapefruit should not be consumed in the course of antibiotic treatment. You should avoid alcohol while taking antibiotics, as the accompanying inflammation intensifies your body’s circulation, causing the alcohol to be distributed much more quickly. Since broad-spectrum antibiotics also attack healthy bacteria, some antibiotics may cause dizziness, nausea, and vomiting. The medication may destroy good bacteria in your gut and in women’s vaginas. The result is frequently diarrhea and yeast infections. Ask your doctor or pharmacist about further potential reactions, interactions with other medications, such as birth control, and prophylactic products for preventing side effects. In ab.coach, you will find indications regarding the correct administration of your antibiotics, potential side effects and their prevention, health tips, and other valuable information. Summary Take antibiotics only if you have a current prescription from a doctor Follow your doctor's instructions regarding: duration and frequency concentration quantity active ingredient Take antibiotics correctly, for the full duration prescribed by your doctor Do not consume milk, mineral water rich in calcium, or grapefruit during antibiotic treatment Avoid alcohol to the greatest extent possible Discuss prophylactic measures and interactions with your doctor and pharmacist Together, we can curb the formation of resistance and provide for a healthier future More information: ab.coach

Ampicillin capsules|Use|Side effects
Ampicillin is an antibiotic used to prevent and treat a number of bacterial infections, such as respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, meningitis, salmonellosis, and endocarditis. It may also be used to prevent group B streptococcal infection in newborns. It is used by mouth, by injection into a muscle, or intravenously.Like all antibiotics, it is not useful for the treatment of viral infections. Common side effects include rash, nausea, and diarrhea. It should not be used in people who are allergic to penicillin. Serious side effects may include Clostridium difficile colitis or anaphylaxis. While usable in those with kidney problems, the dose may need to be decreased. Its use during pregnancy and breastfeeding appears to be generally safe. Ampicillin was discovered in 1958 and came into commercial use in 1961.It is on the World Health Organization's List of Essential Medicines, the most effective and safe medicines needed in a health system. Its wholesale cost in the developing world is between US$0.13 and 1.20 for a vial of the intravenous solution as of 2014.In the United States, it is available as a generic medication and 10 days of treatment cost about $13. Ampicillin is used to treat infections by many Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Ampicillin was the first 'broad spectrum' penicillin with activity against Gram-positive bacteria including Streptococcus pneumoniae, Streptococcus pyogenes, some isolates of Staphylococcus aureus (but not penicillin-resistant or methicillin-resistant strains), and some Enterococcus. Activity against Gram-negative bacteria includes Neisseria meningitidis, some Haemophilus influenzae, and some of the Enterobacteriaceae. Its spectrum of activity is enhanced by co-administration of sulbactam, a drug that inhibits beta lactamase, an enzyme produced by bacteria to inactivate ampicillin and related antibiotics. It is sometimes used in combination with other antibiotics that have different mechanisms of action, like vancomycin, linezolid, daptomycin, and tigecycline. Ampicillin can be administered by mouth, an intramuscular injection (shot) or by intravenous infusion. Indications : respiratory infections sinusitis bronchitis pharyngitis otitis media bacterial meningitis Salmonella, Shigella, and Listeria bacteria. gastrointestinal infections caused by contaminated water or food. healthcare-associated infections related to infection from urinary catheter use unresponsive to other medications. Haemophilus influenzae, Streptococcus pneumoniae infections. Genito-urinary tract infections prevent infection (prophylaxis) in those who previously had rheumatic heart disease or are undergoing dental procedures. Side effects: Ampicillin is comparatively less toxic than other antibiotics. In very rare cases, it causes severe side effects such as angioedema, anaphylaxis, and C. difficile infection. Some develop black 'furry' tongue'. The most serious adverse effects are seizures, serum sickness, anaphylaxis, pseudomembranous colitis. The most common side effects to be expected in ten percent of users are diarrhea and rash. Less common side effects can be nausea, vomiting, itching, blood dyscrasias, and mild allergic reactions. Other conditions may develop up several weeks after treatment.

How to Deal with Antibiotic Side Effects | एंटीबायोटिक साइड इफेक्ट्स के साथ डील कैसे करें
How to Deal with Antibiotic Side Effects When you suffer from strep throat, an ear infection, a urinary tract infection or other common bacterial infections, the most common medication prescribed by doctors is antibiotics. Antibiotics are medicines used to treat bacterial infections. There are different types of antibiotics that work against different strains of bacteria and some types of parasites. When used properly, they either kill or inhibit the growth of bacteria that cause a particular health problem. This in turn helps your natural immune system fight the infection. But antibiotics often have side effects that cause other temporary health issues. Some common side effects include diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, vaginal yeast infections, allergic reactions and inner ear problems. At the same time, excess use or misuse of antibiotics can make them ineffective, weaken your immunity, increase your cancer risk and even reduce the effectiveness of birth control pills. If you experience a mild adverse reaction to a round of antibiotics, there is nothing to worry about. You can easily treat the issue naturally. For severe adverse reactions, contact your doctor immediately.
Don't Use Antibiotics to Fight with Snort, Sniffle, Sneeze. They Don't Help in These Cases
Antibiotics are medicines that kill bacteria. These drugs do not work on viruses. A bacterium is a living, reproducing lifeform. A virus is just a piece of DNA (or RNA). A virus injects its DNA into a living cell and has that cell reproduce more of the viral DNA. With a virus there is nothing to "kill," so antibiotics don't work on it. There are many types of antibiotics. Each works a little differently and acts on different types of bacteria. Some antibiotics are effective against only certain types of bacteria; others can effectively fight a wide range of bacteria. Antibiotics must be taken for the full amount of time prescribed by your doctor. Many times, patients will stop the use of an antibiotic when they begin to feel better and it seems that the illness has gone. However, even after the symptoms are gone, the bacteria may still be present in small amounts and an infection can return if use of the antibiotic is stopped. Not completing the prescribed dose also may promote resistance. There are two major drawbacks of antibiotics: Bacterial resistance; Harmful side effects. Bacteria may be naturally resistant to different classes of antibiotics or may acquire resistance from other bacteria through exchange of resistant genes. There are most common side effects of antibiotics include stomach upset, nausea, and diarrhea. An increased sensitivity to sunlight is common with tetracyclines (e.g. doxycycline, minocycline) and fluoroquinolones (e.g. ciprofloxacin , ofloxacin, levofloxacin). Although most side-effects may be mild in appearance, some may be severe like allergic reactions and it may even be life-threatening allergic reactions. Should you experience any unexpected reaction to an antibiotic you use for the first time, immediately consult with your health professional. Antibiotics can kill most of the bacteria in your body that are sensitive to them, including "good" bacteria. Read more at detadoctor.com

Helicobacter pylori Damage explanation and diagrams
Uploaded on Jan 3, 2012 http://www.boweldiseases.net 26 1st 4 slides Hello, welcome to this video explaining the damage Helicobacter pylori can cause. As many symptoms as there can be, it is important to understand that helicobacter pylori bacteria causes ulcers and inflammation of the stomach lining. This bacterial infection can have a wide range of symptoms. The same is true for Inflammatory Bowel Syndrome, Candida Yeast Infections, and a host of other digestive problems. Many times, all of these are interconnected. 8 Ulcers cause a burning pain in the stomach or abdominal region. This is due to this bacteria degrading the mucous layer which protects the stomach lining allowing stomach acid to burn the stomach lining. 10 Pain is often made worse when the concentration of acid in the stomach is stronger. This occurs after eating. Nighttime pain is also common. 10 Helicobacter pylori often is associated with poor appetite, being hungry soon after eating, and weight loss. See how it gets confusing already? 7 Helicobacter pylori is also associated with heartburn, belching, farting, nausea, and vomiting. In addition it can lead to blood in the stool. These symptoms also describe many digestive problems that can not be quantitatively identified. Medical professionals often advise medications which mask the symptoms. Or we self medicate using the wide variety of choices we have at the pharmacies. 9 Depression and worry can set in after not being able to rid yourself of these symptoms. Stress and worry always makes conditions worse. We need confidence we can get better in order to heal. 9 There are many ways to decrease the pain and treat the symptoms with antacids, milk, or the many medications available. These do not in any way cure the ulcer. The condition usually gets worse. They may allow healing for a while making us think they are the answer. Getting rid of the bacterial infection is the only sure way. 15 Helicobacter pylori exploits the protective mucous layer of the stomach lining. It uses the stomach's own mucous layer as its protection. It then infects deep into the stomach lining causing acid to burn through to the muscles and possibly all the way through the lining. 12.5 2 slides When our immune system determines we are infected with Helicobacter pylori, it produces antibodies which attacks the infection. Our killer T-Cells which protect us also try to eliminate the infection. The bacterial population, plus all of the body's protective mechanisms cause a large number of cells to accumulate in the stomach lining. This cause inflammation in the stomach lining due to all the cells battling for survival or elimination. 5 Gastritis is inflammation of the stomach lining. 5 Colitis, is inflammation of the colon, usually the large intestine. 5 Crohn's is continual inflammation of any part of the digestive system. Ulcerative Colitis is inflammation of the large intestine and rectum. 9 Helicobacter pylori directly causes ulcers by degrading eh mucous layer of the stomach lining allowing acid to burn through the lining. 20 Helicobacter pylori can cause ulcers. This can lead to other problems. Our bodies get out of sync. We treat the problems with medications that do not cure the infection. Our bodies get more confused. We end up with bowel syndromes, gastritis, and lifestyle limitations. This bacteria is treatable which you can learn about in one of our other digestion Helicobacter Pylori Bacteria video. Thank you for watching this video. We made this video because this bacterial infection is serious and infects half the world's population. It is often misdiagnosed. 7 STRANGEST Medical Treatments
From treatments with pee to bee stings to filling your intensines with...well you'll see these are the 7 Strangest Medical Treatments. Urine therapy has been practiced by humans all around the world for thousands of years, and involves the application of your very own freshly squeezed human juice onto various parts of your body in the hope that it will somehow magically cure whatever is wrong with you. Personally I'd wager that rubbing whiz on yourself means you’re already a lost cause, but hey, whatever floats your pee-covered boat. There are several religious and spiritual movements which believe that trauma experienced during childbirth can seriously affect the human mind. Scientologists are one such group of wackos, and they require the mother to be silent during the birthing procedure for this very reason. But what can you do if your mom was all screechy and whiney like a big wuss when she squeezed your ungrateful butt out of her precious flower? Well…why not try being born again? If any of you own a hot tub and you fill it full of beer after listening to this next entry, I take no responsibility for the repair bills. That being said, beer spas do sound pretty damn awesome. In the Czech Republic people with muscle problems can have their aches and pains treated with a relaxing bath in a tub full of hot beer. Apparently the heat of the beer relaxes your muscles, just like regular hot water does, but the vitamins and minerals in these special beer baths are apparently absorbed into the skin and have the added benefit of helping your complexion. Patients who have gone blind due to damaged eye tissue often have implants placed into their eye to help restore their vision, but unfortunately the body often tries to reject foreign objects placed within delicate areas such as the eye, leading to the implant being removed. Traditional Chinese and Asian medicine is frequently criticised for its lack of scientific basis and the often cruel manner in which its ingredients are sourced. But one of the weirdest medicinal concoctions still offered in China today is a soup prescribed for virility. Most people would consider being stung by a bee to be something you'd need to treat rather than a treatment, but bee sting therapy is apparently a real medical practice with some proven benefits to the patient, besides being able to practice their cursing. Clostridium Difficile is a nasty strain of bacteria which can infect the human bowel and cause a range of problems including diarrhoea, stomach cramps and sickness, and for sufferers there are two options. The first is to use antibiotics, but this has the nasty side effect of killing off all the good bacteria located in your bowels, kinda like when the US Air Force bombs the crap out of a random convoy only to find out they were Canadians.

Applied Pharmacology 5, Theraputic Index
Therapeutic index is a measure of how safe a drug is, comparing the effective dose with the toxic dose. You can support Campbell Teaching for free if you use the link below to access Amazon! USA http://goo.gl/mDMfj5 UK http://goo.gl/j0htQ5 Thank you! Notes The therapeutic index (TI) (also called therapeutic ratio) is a comparison of the dose of a drug that causes the therapeutic effect to the amount that causes toxicity. This describes the margin of safety, accounting for the effective dose, toxic dose and even potential lethal dose. The related terms therapeutic window or safety window refer to a range of doses which optimize between efficacy and toxicity. This is always where we aim to be. High (wide) TI is good for good safety profile, drug has low toxicity Low (narrow) TI is more risky (NTI drugs, narrow therapeutic index), drug more toxic TD (toxic dose) TI = ----- ED (effective dose) TD50 (toxic dose) TI = ----- ED50 (effective dose) Lethal dose Toxicity effects Adverse response threshold Therapeutic window / range Duration of action Sub therapeutic range Desired response threshold Eg, anticoagulants, hypotensives, hypoglycaemics, analgesics, diuretics, Low (narrow) Therapeutic Index drugs Digoxin 2:1 Paracetamol (acetaminophen) 7 gram fatal dose Lithium – nephrotoxicity, ataxia, discordination Warfarin - Gentamycin – nephrotoxic, auditory nerve damage - ototoxicity Vancomycin - nephro Phenytoin, fast uncontrolled eye movements, dizzy confused, poor coordination, slured speech Antidepressants, tricyclics Insulin, AZT, High (wide) TI drugs NSAIDs Benzodiazepines Most antibiotics Furosemide SSRIs Does not include any synergistic effects, e.g. diazepam and alcohol or diazepam and morphine, aspirin and warfarin, pharmacokinetic, pharmacodynamics effects, eg. O2 tablet ओ2 टैबलेट Remedy For Mixed Infections uses composition side effect precaution & Review Description Infections caused by more than one type of organisms are called as mixed infections and the best therapeutic option for their treatment is to combine two different drugs with different mechanism of action. O2 is a combination of ofloxacin and ornidazole. Ofloxacin is second generation fluoro-quinolone antibiotic which inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase enzyme, interfering in the synthesis of DNA in the bacteria and shows bactericidal action. Ornidazole is a newer nitroimidazoles with superior efficacy and longer duration of action. It kills susceptible microorganisms by interfering with DNA functioning. Hence combination of these two drugs shown higher efficacy, broad antimicrobial spectrum, least incidence of side effects and both are well tolerated. Zinc & Liver Function
Zinc & Liver Function. https://youtu.be/X6SAN-dr4bE Zinc & Liver Function The liver is the largest organ in the body. It plays a vital role in the digestion of food and removal of toxins, poisons and other harmful substances from the body. Liver diseases include a wide range of problems, such as cirrhosis, hepatitis and jaundice, that affect the proper functioning of the organ. Avoiding alcohol and drugs, using medications wisely and getting vaccinated against hepatitis viruses, along with healthy diet and exercise, can help prevent liver problems. Certain nutrients, such as zinc, are also essential for healthy liver function. What is Zinc? Zinc is an essential trace mineral that plays an important role in growth and development, and in the proper functioning of the immune, nervous and reproductive systems. The Linus Pauling Institute recommends taking about 2 to 12 milligrams of zinc per day, depending on the age and condition of the individual. Meats, dairy products, nuts and beans are dietary sources of zinc. Oral and nasal zinc supplements may also be used to treat zinc deficiency. • Link Between Zinc and Liver Diseases Zinc deficiency is often linked to liver cirrhosis. In fact, zinc supplementation improves the neurological symptoms and malnutrition associated with liver diseases, say the authors of a study published in the September 2004 edition of the journal “Medical Hypotheses.” Another study in the July 2007 issue of the journal “Digestive Diseases and Sciences” also states that zinc supplementation may help protect against acute and chronic liver diseases. Even alcoholic liver diseases may occur due to decreased levels of zinc in the body, and zinc supplementation may help manage alcoholic liver diseases by inhibiting the formation of free oxygen radicals and enhancing the activity of antioxidant pathways, according to an article in the June 2005 issue of “The American Journal of Pathology.” Some animal studies, such as the one published in the November 2010 issue of the journal “Clinical and Experimental Metabolism,” have demonstrated the antioxidant activity of zinc in animal models and indicated that zinc may prevent oxidative liver damage. Side Effects Use of zinc supplements in moderation is generally considered safe. However, mild side effects such as nausea, vomiting and gastric disturbances may sometimes occur. Prolonged use of the supplements can lead to the deficiency of another trace mineral called copper. Intranasal zinc supplements can also lead to loss of sense. The supplements may also interfere with certain antibiotics, such as tetracyclines and quinolones, as well as with anti-convulsant drugs. Precautions Zinc supplements are available at your local pharmacy without a prescription. However, talk to a doctor before using zinc supplements to treat liver conditions to determine if they are right for you. Tell your doctor about any medications you might be taking. Ciprofloxacin tablets|Use|Side effects|Mechanism of action
Ciprofloxacin is an antibiotic used to treat a number of bacterial infections. This includes bone and joint infections, intra abdominal infections, certain type of infectious diarrhea, respiratory tract infections, skin infections, typhoid fever, and urinary tract infections, among others. For some infections it is used in addition to other antibiotics. It can be taken by mouth or used intravenously. Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and rash.Ciprofloxacin increases the risk of tendon rupture and worsening muscle weakness in people with the neurological disorder myasthenia gravis.[2] Rates of side effects appear to be higher than some groups of antibiotics such as cephalosporins but lower than others such as clindamycin.[3] Studies in other animals raise concerns regarding use in pregnancy. No problems were identified, however, in the children of a small number of women who took the medication. It appears to be safe during breastfeeding. It is a second-generation fluoroquinolone with a broad spectrum of activity that usually results in the death of the bacteria. Ciprofloxacin was introduced in 1987. It is on the World Health Organization's List of Essential Medicines, the most effective and safe medicines needed in a health system.[8] It is available as a generic medication and not very expensive. The wholesale cost in the developing world is between 0.03 and 0.13 USD a dose.In the United States it is sold for about 0.40 USD per dose. Medical use: Ciprofloxacin is used to treat a wide variety of infections, including infections of bones and joints, endocarditis, gastroenteritis, malignant otitis externa, respiratory tract infections, cellulitis, urinary tract infections, prostatitis, anthrax, and chancroid. Ciprofloxacin only treats bacterial infections; it does not treat viral infections such as the common cold. For certain uses including acute sinusitis, lower respiratory tract infections and uncomplicated gonorrhea, ciprofloxacin is not considered a first-line agent. Ciprofloxacin occupies an important role in treatment guidelines issued by major medical societies for the treatment of serious infections, especially those likely to be caused by Gram-negative bacteria, including Pseudomonas aeruginosa. For example, ciprofloxacin in combination with metronidazole is one of several first-line antibiotic regimens recommended by the Infectious Diseases Society of America for the treatment of community-acquired abdominal infections in adults. It also features prominently in treatment guidelines for acute pyelonephritis, complicated or hospital-acquired urinary tract infection, acute or chronic prostatitis, certain types of endocarditis Thanks. Minocycline (INN) is a broad-spectrum tetracycline antibiotic, and has a broader spectrum than the other members of the group. It is a bacteriostatic antibiotic, classified as a long-acting type. As a result of its long half-life it generally has serum levels 2–4 times that of the simple water-soluble tetracyclines (150 mg giving 16 times the activity levels compared with 250 mg of tetracycline at 24–48 hours). Minocycline is the most lipid-soluble of the tetracycline-class antibiotics, giving it the greatest penetration into the prostate and brain, but also the greatest amount of central nervous system (CNS)-related side effects, such as vertigo. A common side effect is diarrhea. Uncommon side effects (with prolonged therapy) include skin discolouration and autoimmune disorders that are not seen with other drugs in the class. Migraine? Chronic Sinusitis, Dizziness, Ear/Eye Pain/Pressure, Abnormal Hearing/Smell/Taste/Touch
Not yet well publicized in the general or medical communities, many chronic symptoms such as sinusitis, dizziness (or vertigo), ear pain, jaw pain, nasal blockage/stuffiness, facial pain/pressure, eye pain/pressure, tinnitus, abnormal or bad taste or smell, runny nose and many others may be migraine-related and therefore may be alleviated with the same treatment options as migraine headaches. Unfortunately, many patients and doctors alike are unaware of this connection. Because a relation to migraine disease is not usually suspected, these symptoms are often not treated properly. Many people receive antibiotics, allergy and other medications and occasionally surgery. These medicines may seem to be effective temporarily because the symptoms naturally disappear (as traditional migraines do) but then return again. Migraine disease is a condition that most commonly affects women. It may be affected by changes in estrogen levels. A new organization, the Association of Migraine Disorders has been created to get the word out and to help fund research in this important migraine-related area of neuroscience. Please visit our website to learn about the symptoms, causes and treatments of migraine disorders. There is a lot of helpful information on our site, and with it we hope to end the suffering of many patients who have been unaware of the possible connection of their symptoms to migraine disease. Migraines - More than a headache... ***The mission of the Associaiton of Migraine Disorders is to raise the medical and general public's awareness of this condition and to stimulate increased research in this area of neuroscience.*** MORE INORMATION: Migraine Disorders are a spectrum of neurologic conditions which may have a common genetic and physiologic cause. Although most people associate a "migraine" with a headache, the same underlying faulty nerves that cause this head pain can also affect those nerves that line our sinuses, teeth and ears. This hypersensitivity of the nervous system can interrupt the normal way that we see the world, maintain our balance, hear, smell and taste. This problem may be affecting other parts of the brain that control our body temperature and our mood, our ability to sleep, to think and to remember. It may be the same neuropathy that causes fibromyalgia, irritable bowel syndrome, cyclic vomiting. Think of this problem as a malfunctioning electrical relay switch. The information from sensory nerves is being distorted, or overly amplified, on its way to the brain. That neural error may be an inherited defect which comes and goes throughout life depending on changing factors, such as hormonal shifts. List of potential symptoms: migraine, atypical migraine, neuropathiy, dizziness, vertigo, imbalance, ataxia, abnormal smell, phantom smell, phantosmia, bad taste, abnormal taste, dysgeusia, sinusitis, sinus infections, sinus pain, nasal blockage, nasal stuffiness, nasal congestion, runny nose, rhinorrhea, facial pain, cheek pain, eye pressure, eye pain, facial pressure, difficulty driving, spinning, mal de debarquement, aphasia, allodynia, light sensitivity, auditory processing disorder, depression, sensitivity to touch and more...These are just some of the ones in the head and neck... Vaginal yeast infections or candidiasis, are a common female condition. Vaginal yeast infection or vaginal thrush occurs as a result of the excessive proliferation of yeast in the vagina. Vaginal itching is the most common symptom. Other symptoms include thick vaginal discharge, burning during urination. There may be pain during sexual intercourse and redness around the vagina. The vagina contains a certain quantity of yeast and bacteria cells. If there is a disturbance in the balance of these cells, excessive growth occurs, and infection results. Vaginal yeast infections are due to excessive growth of yeast cells especially candida.Candida infection may not be classified as a sexually transmitted disease because it also occurs in those that are not sexually active. It occurs more in those that are sexually active. Certain factors can predispose women to vaginal yeast infection. They include Antibiotics intake- These are antimicrobial drugs used in the treatment and prevention of bacterial infections in the body. There are some that kill bacteria while others inhibit the growth of bacteria. Before antibiotics are approved for clinical use, they are screened. However, some of these antibiotics have been associated with a wide range of side effects which could be mild or severe. Some side effects include fever, nausea, diarrhoea, disruption of species composition in the intestine and vagina. The overgrowth of bacteria in the intestine can result in the proliferation of Clostridium difficile. The effect of antibiotics in the vagina can lead to vaginal yeast infection. Antibiotics intake can lead to Vaginal yeast infection by decreasing the number of bacteria cells that maintain the normal flora of the vagina. This reduction in the bacteria cell number can result in an excessive proliferation of the yeast cells resulting in Vaginal yeast infection.Contraceptives can also cause vaginal yeast infection though it’s still controversial. Chloramphenicol is an antibiotic useful for the treatment of a number of bacterial infections. This includes meningitis, plague, cholera, and typhoid fever. Its use is only recommended when safer antibiotics cannot be used. Monitoring both blood levels of the medication and blood cell levels every two days is recommended during treatment. It is available intravenously, by mouth, and as an eye ointment. Common side effects include bone marrow suppression, nausea, and diarrhea. The bone marrow suppression may result in death. To reduce the risk of side effects treatment duration should be as short as possible. People with liver or kidney problems may need lower doses. In young children a condition known as gray baby syndrome may occur which results in a swollen stomach and low blood pressure. Its use near the end of pregnancy and during breastfeeding is typically not recommended. Chloramphenicol is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that typically stops bacterial growth by stopping the making of protein. Chloramphenicol was discovered in 1947. It is on the World Health Organization's List of Essential Medicines, the most important medications needed in a basic health system. It is available as a generic medication. The wholesale cost of an intravenous dose is about 0.40 to 1.90 USD. In the United States it is very expensive. Global issues relating to bacterial resistance have revived interest in its use.

Oxytetracycline - Terramycin Antibiotics: "Miracle from Mold" 1952 Pfizer
more at http://scitech.quickfound.net/ "Gives the scientific story behind terramycin, one of the wonder drugs." Reupload of a previously uploaded film with improved video & sound. Public domain film from the Library of Congress Prelinger Archives, slightly cropped to remove uneven edges, with the aspect ratio corrected, and one-pass brightness-contrast-color correction & mild video noise reduction applied. The soundtrack was also processed with volume normalization, noise reduction, clipping reduction, and/or equalization (the resulting sound, though not perfect, is far less noisy than the original). http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oxytetracycline Oxytetracycline was the second of the broad-spectrum tetracycline group of antibiotics to be discovered. Oxytetracycline works by interfering with the ability of bacteria to produce essential proteins. Without these proteins, the bacteria cannot grow, multiply and increase in numbers. Oxytetracycline therefore stops the spread of the infection and the remaining bacteria are killed by the immune system or eventually die. Oxytetracycline is a broad-spectrum antibiotic, active against a wide variety of bacteria. However, some strains of bacteria have developed resistance to this antibiotic, which has reduced its effectiveness for treating some types of infections. Oxytetracycline is still used to treat infections caused by Chlamydia (e.g. the chest infection psittacosis, the eye infection trachoma, and the genital infection urethritis) and infections caused by Mycoplasma organisms (e.g. pneumonia). Oxytetracycline is also used to treat acne, due to its activity against the bacteria on the skin that cause acne (Propionibacterium acnes). It is used to treat flare-ups of chronic bronchitis, due to its activity against the bacteria usually responsible, Haemophilus influenzae. Oxytetracycline may also be used to treat other rarer infections, such as those caused by a group of micro-organisms called rickettsiae (e.g. Q fever). To make sure the bacteria causing an infection are susceptible to it, a tissue sample is usually taken, for example a swab from the infected area, or a urine or blood sample. History It was first found near Pfizer laboratories in a soil sample yielding the soil actinomycete, Streptomyces rimosus by Finlay et al. In 1950, a celebrated American chemist, Robert B Woodward, worked out the chemical structure of oxytetracycline, enabling Pfizer to mass produce the drug under the trade name, Terramycin. This discovery by Woodward was a major advancement in tetracycline research and paved the way for the discovery of an oxytetracycline derivative, doxycycline, which is one of the most popularly used antibiotics today. Indications Oxytetracycline, like other tetracyclines, is used to treat many infections, both common and rare (see Tetracycline antibiotics group). Its better absorption profile makes it preferable to tetracycline for moderately severe acne at a dosage of 250--500 mg four times a day for usually six to eight weeks at a time, but alternatives should be sought if no improvement occurs by three months...

Colloidal silver! For INFORMATION - Please go to www.InangaRose.com and press on the 'healing' button. I shall post the document in full on that web site. Much love, Inanga. (The information I wish to share with you is too long to be included in this format! ) First few paragraphs below. Colloidal Silver is a powerful, natural antibiotic. It is the most usable form of the most effective disease, germ, virus and fungal killers known. What are the key characteristics? Colloidal Silver is non-toxic, non-addictive and has no side effects. The body develops no tolerance and one cannot overdose. Colloidal Silver cannot cause harm to the liver, kidneys or any other organs in the body. It is safe for pregnant and nursing women and even aids the developing foetus in growth and health, as well as easing the mother's delivery and recovery. Colloidal Silver is odorless, tasteless, non-stinging, and harmless to eyes, contains no free-radicals, is harmless to human enzymes and has no reaction with other medications. It improves digestion, aids in the regeneration of damaged cells and tissues, helps prevent colds, flu and organism caused diseases. Has it been medically tested? YES! Colloidal Silver has been successfully tested at the UCLA Medical Labs where it killed every virus on which it was tested. Dr. Robert O. Becker says, “What we have actually done is rediscover the fact that silver kills bacteria which has been known for centuries”. Dr. Henry Crooks found that silver is highly germicidal, quite harmless to humans and absolutely nontoxic. From his bacteriological experiments with silver he concluded, “I know of no microbe that is not killed in laboratory experiments in six minutes.” Dr. Robert Becker noticed a correlation between low silver levels and sickness. People who had low levels of silver were frequently sick, had innumerable colds, flu, fevers and other sicknesses. He believed a silver deficiency was the reason for the improper functioning of the immune system. He found that silver works on a wide range of bacteria without any side effects or damage to the cells of the body and can stimulate major growth of injured tissues Dr. Becker's experiments conclude that silver works on the full spectrum of pathogens without any side effects or damage to the body. He also states that silver does more than kill disease-causing organisms; it also causes major growth stimulation of injured tissues. Burn patients and even elderly patients notice more rapid healing with silver application. According to Dr. Becker, all strains of pathogens resistant to other antibiotics are killed by the element. He even discovered that silver can change cancer cells back to normal! A number of laboratory and human studies have examined the use of topical silver-containing dressings on skin ulcers. The silver nano particle -containing dressings exhibited antibacterial effects and were effective against diabetic ulcers, leg ulcers, other types of ulcers, and skin graft donor wounds. What Is it? Colloidal Silver is the result of an electro-magnetic process that pulls microscopic particles from a larger piece of silver into water creating nano sized positively charged ions. It works as a catalyst, disabling the enzyme that all one-celled bacteria, fungi and viruses use for their oxygen metabolism - in short, it suffocates the bad guys. Unlike with antibiotics, no resistant strains have ever been known to develop. Antibiotics are only effective against perhaps a dozen forms of bacteria and fungi, but never viruses. Colloidal Silver is effective against more than 650 different disease-causing pathogens. Because no known disease-causing organism can live in the presence of even minute traces of the chemical element of metallic silver. A true colloid does not need a stabilizer of any kind. The silver particles are so small (1-100 billionth of a meter in size) that gravity has no effect on them and they stay in suspension in water. The electrocolloidal process allows extremely fine silver particles to be suspended in solution by the tiny charge placed on the particles This method replaces the need for any chemicals, stabilizers, or proteins and the product is then a true colloid of silver.

Damage from Helicobacter pylori
http://www.boweldiseases.net 26 1st 4 slides Hello, welcome to this video explaining the damage Helicobacter pylori can cause.

Add 3 Drops of Oregano Oil to Water and SEE What Happens to Your Lungs Shortcut
http://complete-health-and-happiness.com/add-3-drops-of-oregano-oil-to-water-and-see-what-happens-to-your-lungs Add 3 Drops of Oregano Oil to Water and SEE What Happens to Your Lungs May 28, 2016 By Admin Pneumonia is an infection of one or both lungs which is usually caused by bacteria, viruses, or fungi. Prior to the discovery of antibiotics, one-third of all people who developed pneumonia subsequently died from the infection. Currently, over 3 million people develop pneumonia each year. Over half a million of these people are admitted to a hospital for treatment. Although most of these people recover, approximately 5% will die from pneumonia. Pneumonia is also known to be the 6th leading cause of death worldwide. The most common cause of a bacterial pneumonia is Streptococcus pneumoniae. In this form of pneumonia, there is usually an abrupt onset of the illness with shaking chills, fever, and production of a rust-colored sputum. The infection spreads into the blood in 20% - 30% of cases (known as sepsis), and if this occurs, 20% - 30% of these patients die. Antibiotics as treatment Antibiotics often used in the treatment of this type of pneumonia include penicillin, amoxicillin and clavulanic acid (Augmentin), and macrolide antibiotics including erythromycin, azithromycin, and clarithromycin. Penicillin was formerly the antibiotic of choice in treating this infection. With the advent and widespread use of broader-spectrum antibiotics, significant drug resistance has developed. Penicillin may still be effective in treatment of pneumococcal pneumonia, but it should only be used after cultures of the bacteria confirm their sensitivity to this antibiotic. Add 3 Drops of Oregano Oil to Water and SEE What Happens to Your Lungs Oregano oil been used for centuries in Far Eastern and Middle Eastern cultures to treat respiratory infections, chronic inflammation, urinary tract infections, dysentery, and jaundice. Laboratory studies in which the oil was applied directly to food-borne pathogens showed that oregano oil has strong antibacterial properties (Dadalioglu I et al 2004). Medicinal oregano has a high mineral content that enhances its therapeutic benefits, including calcium, magnesium, zinc, potassium, copper, boron, and manganese. This oil is considered safe for humans and may be used in conjunction with antibiotics to fight bacterial infection (Preuss HG et al 2005).It is also known as an excellent early defense mechanism when you feel cold or sore throat coming on. Simply take 3 drops of Oregano Oil once per day (you can mix it into a glass of orange juice) and you should notice results within a few hours. Repeat this once per day for up to 5 days until the symptoms are gone. Baking Soda (also known as sodium bicarbonate) is also use as home remedy. It is a substance that is found naturally in all living things. It acts to neutralize acids and break down proteins. Its purpose is to maintain pH balance in the bloodstream, which is necessary to sustain life. Take note that, one of the most important processes in our body is the process by which the pH balance is maintained. Body pH measures the number of hydrogen ions in solution within the body. The pH scale ranges from 0-14. The neutral or balanced pH is 7. Anything lower is acidic and anything higher is basic. An acidic pH has a low ability to attract hydrogen ions, while an alkaline solution has a high ability to attract hydrogen ions. If you wonder, “p” stands for potential and “H” stands for hydrogen; henceforth, the potential of the body to attract hydrogen ions to secure balance and health. If we keep our body with an alkaline pH between 7.3 and 7.4 we will remain free of disease. And by raising pH increases the immune system’s ability to kill bacteria. Since Viruses and bacteria that cause bronchitis and colds and secondary infection such as pneumonia, thrive in an acidic environment, rising the pH will destroy this pathogens. To fight a respiratory infection and dampen symptoms such as a runny nose and sore throat, taking an alkalizing mixture of sodium bicarbonate and potassium bicarbonate will certainly help. and to reverse pneumonia, asthma, sinusitis, do some nebulizer with water and two drops of liquid sodium bicarbonate, 2 or 3 times a day. As an acid neutralizer, baking soda has long been favored for its various first-aid applications. Dissolved into a lukewarm bath, it will soothe the discomfort of sunburn and the itch of poison ivy. Made into a paste with cool water and applied directly to the skin, it will ease the pain of bee stings. One-half teaspoon baking soda mixed into 4 ounces (120 ml) of water can be taken as an antacid. Top 10 Most Powerful Natural Antibiotics Known To Mankind
Top 10 Most Powerful Natural Antibiotics Known To Mankind. ★Subscribe for latest updates☛ https://goo.gl/iv1ZQo Antibiotics are medicine used to treat and prevent bacterial infections. When used properly, they can either kill or inhibit the growth of bacteria that cause problems like ear infections, stomach problems, and several skin issues. Different types of antibiotics work against different types of bacteria and some type of parasites. Doctors prescribe an antibiotic depending upon the specific germ (bacterium or parasite) that is causing the infection. However, antibiotics do not fight infections caused by viruses, such as colds, the flu, most coughs, and sore throats. They also do not work against fungal infections. Antibiotics have become one of the most over-prescribed medicines today. This is dangerous because overuse and misuse of antibiotics lead to antibiotic resistance. In addition, excess use of antibiotics can kill off normal defense bacteria that live in the bowel and cause side effects like diarrhea, mild stomach upset and nausea. Hippocrates said, “Let your food be your medicine, and your medicine is your food.” This is so true in terms of overuse of synthetic antibiotics when there are many natural antibiotics provided by nature. Many foods act as natural antibiotics and are effective in treating many health issues. Unlike the over-the-counter antibiotics, most natural antibiotics also fight viral and fungal infections. Plus, they do not kill off the ‘good’ bacteria required by the body. These natural antibiotics alone may not be sufficient for treating serious infections, though. For serious infections like typhoid, tuberculosis, and others, it is best to use these natural antibiotics as an adjunct treatment along with the antibiotics prescribed by your doctor. Make sure you complete the full course of treatment as directed by your doctor; otherwise it may lead to the growth of bacteria and even cause them to become resistant to drugs, resulting in more serious illness. *Here are the top 10 natural antibiotics* 02:22 ☛ 1. Colloidal Silver Generator by SilverLungs
http://shop.silverlungs.com/SearchResults.asp?Cat=1823&Click=12579 - Click this link to find out more about the best colloidal silver generator on the market. This collloidal silver machine is made by SilverLungs and its the best thing you will find on the planet. Colloidal silver is commonly taken orally or through nasal sprays, but an alternative form of delivering colloidal silver to the body is by administrating it through a nebulizer. A nebulizer is a piece of medical equipment that converts liquid into a fine mist that can then be inhaled through a mouthpiece or mask. Using a nebulizer to breathe colloidal silver helps to ensure that only the smallest particles will pass into the body. These particles will also be introduced directly into the lungs, and therefore distributed quickly into the bloodstream, cells and tissues. The lungs have around 750 square feet of surface area interlaced with pulmonary capillaries, which circulate the blood at about 9 liters per minute, making them the fastest and most effective way of getting the solution into the body. Bypassing the digestive system also ensures a greater amount of colloidal silver passes directly into the system. Colloidal silver delivered using this method has been shown to be effective in the prevention of upper respiratory tract infections such as colds, flu and pneumonia. These conditions are typically treated by doctors with prescription antibiotics. However, the limited effectiveness of these drugs along with the high costs, many unpleasant side effects and negative consequences of antibiotic resistance patters, have led to many people looking for a more cost effective and safer treatment. With the advent of colloidal silver generators and simple home use nebulizer kits, large quantities of colloidal silver can now be produced at home, and the well documented antibacterial and germ fighting qualities may be administered directly to the infected areas at a fraction of the cost of expensive prescription drugs. Inhaling colloidal silver also carries with it none of the harmful side effects of prescription antibiotics such as nausea, fever, diarrhea, and a weakened immune system. Many people are now using this method to introduce silver directly to the infected areas and thereby stopping serious upper respiratory infections in their tracks. The results have routinely been described as miraculous with countless online testimonials showing amazing results when used to fight a whole range of upper respiratory tract infections. Many patients have continued to use nebulizers long after their condition has been cured as they provide a faster and more effective method of introducing silver into the body. Although surprisingly little medical research has been carried out to validate these claims, a study carried out in 2009 by the Washington University School of Medicine showed that inhaling silver may be one of the most effective ways to treat pneumonia. A group of laboratory mice were infected with a form of bacterial pneumonia commonly found in humans. All the mice then inhaled nanoparticles once per day. For half these mice the nanoparticles contained silver carbine complexes (SCCs). The mice that were given SCCs were found to have significantly lower concentrations of bacteria in the lungs than those on the placebo inhalators. Even more significantly, the mice that had been treated with just two doses of SSCs 24 hours apart had a 100% survival rate, while all the mice in the control group died. Those wishing to breathe colloidal silver to treat an upper respiratory tract infection should take into account the varying levels of effectiveness of the different products available. True colloidal silver is by far the most stable, keeping its antibacterial properties long after entering the body. It is also important to ensure that the silver has been produced with distilled water and has not been mixed with any salts, proteins or other chemicals, as this may lead to silver poisoning. A good way to ensure the purity and quality of the product, and save money, is to produce your own at home with a colloidal silver generator.

Never Use Apple Cider Vinegar If You Have These Medical Conditions
visit us @ http://www.healthyandkool.com Never Use Apple Cider Vinegar If You Have These Medical Conditions Never Use Apple Cider Vinegar If You Have THESE Medical Conditions Apple cider vinegar is a powerful anti-fungal and antibacterial with a wide range of uses. It has been shown to help with weight loss, allergies, acid reflux, colds and it can even be used to whiten your teeth! Apple cider vinegar packs some pretty amazing health benefits. But if you’re not careful, it can do more harm than good. Combining it with certain medications or certain medical conditions can lead to unexpected health issues. Do not use apple cider vinegar if you’re taking any of the following medications: 1. Digoxin Or Lanoxin Digoxin and Lanoxin are used to treat heart disease. Combining apple cider vinegar with either of these medications can be dangerous. The apple cider vinegar can prevent the absorption of potassium, increasing the risk of side effects including mood swings, vomiting, dizziness and diarrhea. 2. Diuretics Medications such as Diuril, Lasix, Microzidea and Thalitone are commonly used to treat bloating. They stimulate the body to remove liquids that have accumulated, in order to reduce water retention. Diuretics can cause dehydration on their own. The risk of dehydration becomes even greater when they are taken with apple cider vinegar. 3. Insulin Diabetics use insulin to balance blood sugar levels in the body. While apple cider vinegar can help control blood sugar levels, it should never be used in combination with insulin. Taking the two together can lower potassium levels and blood sugar levels in the body. Do not use apple cider vinegar if you are: 1. Diabetic Both insulin and apple cider vinegar can lower potassium levels in the body. Taking both can be a dangerous combination. Apple cider vinegar also lowers blood sugar levels. If you’re taking medication to lower your blood sugar levels, you will need to work yourself off it before you can take apple cider vinegar. 2. Pregnant Or Nursing The effects of apple cider vinegar on a developing fetus and on a newborn baby are unknown. Women who are pregnant or nursing are recommended to avoid unpasteurized apple cider vinegar in case of possible negative effects. 3. Postmenopausal Women who are postmenopausal are more likely to have reduced bone density. Taking apple cider vinegar on a regular basis can lower potassium levels in the body. This can end up reducing the strength of your bones. High amounts of apple cider vinegar can lead to osteoporosis for postmenopausal women.

How does it work?Possibly Ineffective for . Special Precautions & Warnings
OVERVIEW Acacia is the gum that is exuded from the acacia tree. It’s a dietary fiber that can dissolve in water. As a medicine, acacia is taken by mouth to reduce cholesterol levels and to help increase weight loss. In manufacturing, acacia is used as a pharmaceutical ingredient in medications for throat or stomachinflammation and as a film-forming agent in peel-off skin masks. Don’t confuse acacia with sweet acacia (Acacia farnesiana). How does it work? Acacia is a source of dietary fiber. It tends to make people feel full, so they might stop eating earlier than they otherwise would. This might lead to weight loss and reduced cholesterol levels. USES Possibly Ineffective for: High cholesterol. Taking acacia by mouth does not seem to lower cholesterol levels. Insufficient Evidence for: Dental plaque. Early research suggests that chewing acacia gum for 10 minutes five times daily for 7 days reduces dental plaque more than sugar-free chewing gum. Weight loss. There is early evidence that shows taking 30 grams of powdered acacia daily might help weight loss. More evidence is needed to rate the effectiveness of acacia for these uses. SIDE EFFECTS Acacia is LIKELY SAFE for most adults when taken by mouth in amounts commonly found in food. Acacia is POSSIBLY SAFE when taken by mouth in amounts used for medical purposes. Up to 30 grams daily has been used safely for 6 weeks. However, it can cause minor adverse effects, including gas, bloating, nausea, and loose stools. Special Precautions & Warnings: Pregnancy and breast-feeding: Not enough is known about the use of acacia during pregnancy and breast-feeding. Stay on the safe side and avoid use. INTERACTIONS Major Interaction Do not take this combination Amoxicillin (Amoxil, Trimox) interacts with ACACIA Acacia can prevent the body from absorbing the antibiotic amoxicillin (Amoxil, Trimox). To prevent this interaction, take acacia at least four hours before or after taking amoxicillin (Amoxil, Trimox). DOSING The appropriate dose of acacia depends on several factors such as the user's age, health, and several other conditions. At this time there is not enough scientific information to determine an appropriate range of doses for acacia. Keep in mind that natural products are not always necessarily safe and dosages can be important. Be sure to follow relevant directions on product labels and consult your pharmacist or physician or other healthcare professional before using.
