Symbicort Side Effects - Dangers with Better Solutions
Click on the link below for a free video guide to shopping for dietary supplements. http://utahtexans.com/ In this video I'm going to share some of the major side effects of the drug symbicort and I'm going to share a few better options. Breathing is important right? Symicort does help someone breath by reducing inflammation in the airways. It's commonly prescribed to people with asthma or lung disease. If you don't have insurance this inhaler is going to cost around $300, which is expensive. It lasts about 30 days if you take 2 puffs a day. The main ingredient in this drug is Formoterol. Researchers from Cornell and Stanford universities have looked at 19 trials with over 33 thousand patients and have concluded that the ingredient in this drug called Foroterol may be causing 4 out of 5 U.S. Asthma related deaths per year and should be taken off the market. You might be wondering how does this ingredient kill. The answer is according to the researchers is that the medication relieves asthma symptoms, however it promotes inflammation without warning. Almost like they relieve the symptoms for the short term, but make them worse overall. I'll share just 1 study and that is researchers found that 53 of 3,083 patients inhaling this ingredient were hospitalized for an asthma attack, compared with 12 of 2,008 patients who received a placebo. Let's talk about some of the most common side effects and that would be headache, throat irritation, nausea, vomiting, stomach upset, diarrhea, back pain, stuffy nose, muscle or joint pain, or changes in your voice. Of course there are many other side effects that you could experience depending on how your body reacts to the drug. At this point you might be wondering if there are better options. I would highly encourage you to look at bee pollen for allergies. According to the “Journal of Allergy” 78% of asthma patients averaged a 75% improvement after taking bee pollen. Another great idea that is often overlooked is vitamin D, which you can get in a multivitamin. In the September issue of the “Annals of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology” researchers reviewed nearly 60 years' worth of literature on vitamin D with asthma. They found that a vitamin D deficiency is linked to increased airway reactivity, lower lung functions, and worse asthma control. To learn more ideas click on the link below. http://utahtexans.com/

New Drug Found to Control Severe Asthma
Two trials show a new injectable drug can reduce outbursts in patients with severe asthma that is not controlled by steroid inhalers alone. The new drug, benralizumab, works by targeting white blood cells called eosinophils, that are usually present in large numbers, in patients that have been linked to severe asthma. According to researchers, if the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approves of the new drug, it would offer new options to control asthma. http://www.upi.com/Health_News/2016/09/07/New-injectable-drug-fights-hard-to-control-asthma/5461473258750/ http://www.wochit.com This video was produced by YT Wochit News using http://wochit.com

Drugs giant Pfizer drops AstraZeneca bid - economy
US drugmaker Pfizer has abandoned its multi-billion takeover bid for UK pharmaceutical firm AstraZeneca. The US company said it would not pursue the takeover past a bid deadline on Monday. AstraZeneca rejected a final offer earlier this month saying the proposal undervalued the company and its "attractive prospects". Under UK takeover rules Pfizer must wait six months if it is to make a fresh bid unless invited to do so by AstraZeneca. ... Symbicort Medication Information (dosing, side effects, patient counseling)
Your medication Symbicort Budesonide and formoterol is also known as the brand name: Symbicort. It is most commonly used to treat asthma in patients over the age of 12 but can also be used to treat asthma in children. No matter how old you are, depending on the severity of your asthma, Symbicort is taken two inhalations twice daily with a maximum of four inhalations per day. It comes in inhaler form and is taken by pressing inhaler to release medicine into mouth and then swallowing. Some common side effects of Symbicort are headaches and upper respiratory tract infection. Symbicort is not a rescue inhaler, and does not replace fast-acting inhalers to treat acute symptoms. Do not take Symbicort if: • You need acute bronchodilation in COPD While taking Symbicort, it is important to remember to tell your doctor or pharmacist if you experience any of the following: • Signs of an infection • Signs of high blood sugar (confusion, fatigue, increased thirst, increased hunger, flushing, fast breathing, etc.) • Signs of low potassium (muscle pain or weakness, muscle cramps or an abnormal heartbeat) • Signs of adrenal gland problems (severe nausea, vomiting, severe dizziness, passing out, muscle weakness, etc.) • Signs of lung problems • Signs of allergic reaction (wheezing, chest tightness, fever, itching, bad cough, blue skin color, seizures, etc.) Symbicort has a US Black Box Warning stating that it can increase the risk of asthma-related death.

Mario Castro "Severe Asthma Data from SARP"
Dr. Mario Castro (Washington University School of Medicine) presents findings from the Severe Asthma Research Program (SARP), providing insights into severe asthma disease phenotypes and approaches for targeted therapy. Dr. Castro highlights the use of imaging technologies to better understand the lung changes that occur in severe asthma. His findings identify subgroups of patients with specific changes in the lung. The hope is that identification of these subgroups will inform the use of targeted therapies. Dr. Castro also presents data on the effects of dupilumab treatment. Dupilumab is a monoclonal antibody that targets IL-4 receptor alpha (anti-IL-4R). Recent clinical trials published in the New England Journal of Medicine showed that dupilumab treatment improves patient outcomes. This webinar was hosted by the NHMRC Centre of Excellence in Severe Asthma on 19 June 2018. Dr. Castro's travel was supported by funding from AstraZeneca.

AstraZeneca Heart Disease Drug Gets FDA Approval
AstraZeneca received a much-needed boost when its blood-thinning drug, Brilinta, a potential blockbuster, was approved by the US health regulator for wider use. The Food and Drug Administration approved Brilinta tablets for longer-term use in patients with a history of heart attack. The new 60 mg dose can be taken twice a day along with aspirin beyond a year after a heart attack. Until now, the blood thinner could only be prescribed for one year after a heart attack, as a 90 mg dose. Brilinta is one of the big earners AstraZeneca is counting on to offset falling sales from older bestsellers as they come off patent, such as Nexium and Crestor. http://www.theguardian.com/business/2015/sep/04/astrazeneca-heart-disease-drug-brilinta-gets-fda-approval-at-60mg http://www.wochit.com This video was produced by Wochit using http://wochit.com

“Not the end of the road” for Synairgen’s asthma treatment
Synairgen plc (LON:SNG) chief executive Richard Marsden tells Proactive Investors that it’s “not the end of the road” for its asthma treatment after AstraZeneca (LON:AZN) announced it would review how to proceed with the phase IIa trial of the drug. AstraZeneca decided to stop the trial as fewer severe cases were found amongst patients than researchers had expected. “It’s not the end of the road for the drug at all,” Marsden says. The pharma giant will analyse the data generated so far in the trial at the start of next year, and Marsden thinks this could be a good thing. “AstraZeneca [is] going to look at the data in the first quarter of next year, which is probably earlier than we had initially expected.” “If anything, this is all happening earlier in the year than we had anticipated, so this could be good news.”

Britain's AstraZeneca Rejects 'final' Pfizer Bid
British drug maker AstraZeneca rejected Monday what its New York-based rival Pfizer called over the weekend its "final" takeover offer. In a statement, AstraZeneca's board cited the "uncertainty and risks" for shareholders as a reason for the rejection, which came just hours after the maker of the erectile-dysfunction drug Viagra had upped the value of its bid to about $93 a share in a deal that would have led to the world's largest drugs company. Pfizer's latest bid that came Sunday night valued AstraZeneca at around $116 billion.
