This Baby Gorilla Was Acting Up In Front Of A Crowd, But Dad Quickly Put Him In His Place Please do not forget to visit the site http://scribol.com Located in Leicestershire, England, Twycross Zoo was opened back in 1963 by Natalie Evans and Molly Badham. The pair had owned a pet shop in nearby Staffordshire, but their growing collection of animals meant they needed to move to a bigger site. Since then, the zoo has proved to be a very popular attraction and showcases a variety of wildlife. However, in recent years Twycross has focused its attention on one area in particular and has rebranded itself as “The World Primate Centre.” As a result, the zoo is now home to a number of different apes and monkeys, including the western lowland gorilla, chimpanzees and the black-headed spider monkey. 10 Signs You’re Way More Intelligent Than You Realize

10:47
You are way more intelligent than you realize! Here's a list of signs that actually indicate a super bright mind. They are all scientifically proved, so if you feel like a few of them are true for you, you have every reason to call yourself a genius! TIMESTAMPS You realize how much you don’t know 0:48 You wear the same clothes every day 2:00 You can feel what others are thinking 3:01 You can perfectly control yourself 3:50 Your eyes are blue 4:53 You are a chocolate lover 5:54 When you’re upset, you know what’s bothering you 6:56 You talk to yourself 7:47 You can’t stand any background noise 8:35 Your handwriting is messy 9:21 SUMMARY - Justin Kruger and David Dunning worked with a group of Cornell University undergrads and published the results of their research in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology in 1999. They asked students to predict their scores after being tested in Humor, Logical reasoning and English Grammar. Those who were 100% sure they did outstandingly well ended up with worse results than those who were more critical of themselves. - Psychologist Oliver Burkeman has done some serious research on the lifestyle of the brightest minds in the world. He concluded that smart people tend to save up their mental abilities for more important things. Unless those smart people are fashion designers or Lady Gaga, of course. - Empathy is a sign of exceptional mental intelligence. If you are emotionally intelligent, you love meeting new people and learning new things. According to psychologist and author of Focus: The Hidden Drivers of Excellence Daniel Goleman, people who care a lot about others and can feel them well, generally, succeed in life. - The ability to control instincts is what we know distinguishes humans from animals. Genius people went even further: they manage to overcome and control any impulses they have. If you can plan and achieve goals without being distracted by emotions you are more intelligent than you might imagine. - Professor emeritus of the University of Louisville Joanne Rowe has concluded light-eyed humans, and even animals are way better at activities requiring self-pacing than the dark-eyed creatures. The fact that you are better at self-paced activities means that you like paying attention to every detail. - M.D. Franz H. Messerli, who is most likely a chocolate lover himself, published the results of his study in The New England Journal of Medicine. He tried to link genius (Noble prize winner kind of genius) per ten million people with the amount of chocolate consumed in certain countries. And he found it. - Genius people don’t stick to the past. And, they don’t blame everyone and everything around for their sadness. Psychologist Daniel Goleman explains a real genius does not only address problems but also recognizes emotions when he feels them, and not ignores them. - Psychologists Daniel Swigley and Gary Lupyan conducted a whole study on it. The good self-talk, according to them, helps us sort the important thoughts from useless stuff going through our minds. - A study conducted at the Northwestern University has stated that a genius hates any kind of background noise because it prevents him from concentrating on important issues. - Next time someone criticizes your handwriting, simply nod, say “I am sorry you don’t get it” and triumph on the inside. Messy writing is one of the signs of a genius! Did you recognize any of these signs in yourself, or maybe you are now positive your best friend is a genius? The Dolphin | Educational Video for Kids.

04:22
The dolphin, a very friendly mammal Hello friends, and welcome to a new Happy Learning video. Today we are going to learn about one of the most friendly and fun mammals, presenting the dolphin. Dolphins are aquatic mammals which live in most seas around the world. Dolphins have a dorsal fin on the top part of their body and two lateral fins as well as a flat tail called a fluke, which they use to beat the water in an up and down motion, allowing them to swim at great speeds as well as completing agile jumps out of the water. Did you know that dolphins don't have a nose? They have a beak and they breathe through a hole above their head. Can you see it? well this hole is called the blow hole and they close it every time they go under water so as not to let water come into their lungs. Dolphins can submerge themselves up to 300 meters deep and can hold their breath for almost 25 minutes! Do you know how dolphins sleep? It is really curious...because they sleep...in sections. First half of their brain and half of their body goes to sleep and when that part wakes up, the other half goes to sleep. It is for this reason that they sleep with one eye open, always aware of what is going on around them. Like this they are always alert... Dolphins belong to the cetaceous family, like whales. The average length of a dolphin is around 4 and a half meters, which is the length of normal car and they weigh about 300 kilos. For orientation, dolphins use a system called echolocation. The sounds the dolphins emit travels through water until it rebounds off an object found in its path, and sends it back to the dolphin. Now the dolphins can calculate how far away the object is, its size and also its shape. Dolphins are carnivorous, their main source of food is based on crustaceans, fish, squid and octopus. Dolphins just like all mammals are viviparous and the gestation of a baby takes 12 months. During the first month of a baby´s life, it feeds on the mother's milk and then the baby is taught how to hunt by other members of its family. Dolphins are not scared of humans and when they encounter them, they are very friendly. They are really playful and curious animals. Dolphins tend to live in a group and are extremely intelligent. As they are together in a group they help each other by defending off sharks and orcas by butting them with their strong beak. But do you know what the dolphin´s biggest problem is? The humans. It is because of humans hunting them and contaminating the waters which is causing many dolphins to die. Many dolphins have been trapped in fishermen's nets or suffocated with plastic bags and rubbish which has been thrown in the sea, but this is a problem happening not just for dolphins but for many other marine species, such as turtles and seals. It is for this reason that it is just so important to look after our seas and oceans and that we should never, ever, ever, throw anything into the water. If we maintain nature clean, dolphins as well as all other living creatures will be very happy. So goodbye for now and don't forget to subscribe to Happy Learning.

Two's Company, Three's a Waddle!

03:04
The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium welcomes three Humboldt penguins to the Zoo's Shores region. The chicks hatched in March and are three of over 20 Humboldt penguins to hatch at the Zoo since 1996. The first to hatch weighed 85 grams, the second weighed 79 grams and the third chick, which hatched last week weighed in at 56 grams. The first two chicks are males, but the third chick's sex has yet to be determined.   The first two chicks are Fritz and Tressel's offspring, which was a recommended breeding by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) as part of the Humboldt Penguin Species Survival Plan (SSP) program. Since they became a breeding pair in 2005 they have had six chicks.    In addition to Fritz and Tressel's two chicks, another breeding pair, Hans and Katja, had two eggs. However during the Arctic blast that swept through Ohio, the pair had difficulties incubating the first egg and it was sent to Brookfield Zoo to hatch, as recommended by the AZA. After the bitter cold weather, Hans and Katja bred again and were successful in keeping their second clutch warm, which was the third chick that hatched last week.   Breeding season is an important part of the Humboldt penguin's life cycle and the instinct for birds to reproduce yearly is very strong. Currently the chicks are nesting, but will start to venture out when they begin to fledge around 4 to 6-weeks-old. Although animal care staff can tell the chicks apart by personality, they will place a colored wing band on the chicks to easily identify them as they start to explore their habitat. All three chicks are doing well and have passed their wellness check-up with flying colors.

Man With Guitar Serenades Baby Rhino To Sleep

01:19
On behalf of Petronel Nieuwoudt and the team at Care for Wild, thank you to everyone for all of your well wishes regarding the new calf at our rhino orphanage in South Africa. She is doing well and continues to improve as each day goes by! This little rhino calf was born in the afternoon on Monday the 19th of June, and the people observing her quickly noted that the mother was not allowing the calf to drink any milk. Advice from veterinarians said that they should monitor the mother and calf throughout the night to see if she lets the calf drink. However, by morning it was clear that she had rejected the newborn so it was decided that human intervention was urgently needed if the calf was to have a chance of survival. Petronel Nieuwoudt, Founder & Owner of Care for Wild Rhino Sanctuary was called and a emergency rescue plan was put in place. That day a helicopter, piloted by Wayne Kenneth, transported Veterinarian Dr. Ferreira and CFW staff member Dorota to the reserve where the rhinos were located. The mother was quickly sedated and milked so that the young calf had a chance to receive her mother's colostrum. Colostrum is the first milk that the cow provides to their newborn calf. It is packed full of antibodies that provide the calf with the only disease specific immunity that they will have until their own immune system becomes fully functional. We do not know the exact reason why the mother abandoned her newborn calf, however it could be one of the following reasons: - Poor Nutrition - If the mother is not well fed during her pregnancy, and when nursing she may instinctively abandon her calf. Older females may also suffer as a result of being thin and can suffer from poor nutrition, and may abandon her young, or may feed them until she herself dies having taxed her body to care for her young. - First Time Moms - A young, or first time, mother may abandon her young out of stress or confusion. It is not uncommon for them to be confused. - Something Wrong - Some mothers instinctively know something is wrong with their young, and will ignore those who are runts or deformed. In these cases it is wise for the owner to have a vet examine any young who have been left without an obvious reason. - Health - If the mother had a difficult delivery, or is in poor health herself, she may abandon her young. If she also goes off her food, or shows any signs of problems (including if she has not shed the placenta) a veterinarian should be called in to check her. If she tore something she could be fighting infection and would run a fever. Mother animals who have mastitis (inflamed mammary glands) will be in physical discomfort and will not want to nurse their young. - Not Ready - We cannot discount the fact that some female animals simply do not want to be mothers. They may leave their youngters because their natural instinct to care for them did not kick in. Sometimes this can be hormonal. To find out more about this orphan rhino or if you are interested in using the footage please contact media@careforwild.co.za ***For security reasons, the Care for Wild Rhino Sanctuary will not disclose the location that this rhino calf came from.*** We need your help! IQ-MS Virtual Library: Animal Behaviors - Learned vs. Inherited

'Magic connection' or just some interaction in between horse and human

10:17
Many times I read things about magical connections but I am to Dutch to believe in magic. I do believe in illusionists and to be honest I do see a lot of illusionists. People love fantasy. This is for sure not a 'how to' or an example of how 'you should' I just video taped this to see what an how we do things as a reflection towards myself. What I did notice in the past years is how contagious emotions are. When he walks around me and I share my pride on him by laughing and say things like 'wow' his ears go forward and he is just a little bit more proud. When I made this video I had no plan, not goal nothing. O yes, and I am introducing some treat stuff. Just as an experiment.

Newfoundland Water Rescue Training 03/02/2018

08:26
Newfoundland Club of Victoria. Location: Lilydale Lake. Date: 03/02/2018. Mission: Water Rescue Training and Have Lots of Fun. Instructors and Drowners: Ronnie, Mike, Sue and Jan We are back again, a lot happened in the past 2 years, way more than I can handle, our day to day life did not change way too much but was unable to attend the weekend training. Before 2017 ended, I made a promise to myself and to my babies that 2018 is going to be a new start for all of us, I am going to do more with Honeybun and CoCoBaby, they love water, especially Honeybun, the water sport is back, and carting is a must for the cooler days, we will go more places, try and learn new things. CoCoBaby's recovery is looking really good, everything goes according to my 2018 plans so far. You will see us more for sure... ............................................................................................... Hope you enjoy this video :) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Like this video? Give us a thumbs up.... :) ___________________________________________________________________ I am not a professional trainer but I am lucky enough to have many experienced Newfoundland breeders and trainers around me to help me with Honeybun and CoCoBaby's trainings and give me constructive advices on the issues that I have! Honeybun and CoCoBaby are not working dogs, they are my family, I consider them as my kids, but with their sizes, it is very important that they have enough training so they behave well when we are out. Newfoundland Dogs are extremely smart, with training, they can do so much and they love learning new things. Most importantly, we don't want them to be a backyard dogs, we want them to be able to do what they love, to have a healthy, happy, balance life. Honeybun and CoCoBaby Love meeting people and swimming. Since Honeybun and CoCoBaby are not working dogs, I am very happy with how they behave now. They still get a bit excitable when they see other people and animals, but not to the point that I would worry about. Training is ongoing, expectations are firm but very relax. I love them so so much! ____________________________________________________________________ Want to know more about Honeybun and CoCoBaby? Tigers Mating In The Jungle

00:25
A rare sight! Amazing Siberian tigers enjoying the company of each other in their natural surroundings. Could this be love? Wild animals enjoying life in their natural habits and following their instincts is always a joy for the eye and the soul – reminding us of the beauty and diversity of our planet. Sadly this sight is becoming something of the past. Climate changes, global warming and illegal wild life trading has had its impact. According to the latest edition of WWF's annual Living Planet Report more than half of the worlds wild life has disappeared in just 40 years. Help make a change. Mountain Lions at Grand Canyon National Park: (Ranger Minute)

03:33
Mountain lions (Puma concolor, also called cougars or pumas) inhabit the canyons and forests of Grand Canyon National Park and are the region's only remaining large predator. Surprisingly, very little is known about this secretive animals behavior, range, and habits. In this Ranger Minute, Park Ranger Lori Rome shares some interesting facts. If you encounter a mountain lion: The Arizona Department of Game and Fish says: * Do not approach the animal. Most mountain lions will try to avoid a confrontation. Give them a way to escape. * Stay calm and speak loudly and firmly. * Do not run from a mountain lion. Running may stimulate a mountain lions instinct to chase. Stand and face the animal. Make eye contact. * Appear larger. Raise your arms. Open your jacket if you are wearing one. Throw stones, branches, or whatever you can reach without crouching or turning your back. Wave your arms slowly. The idea is to convince the lion that you are not easy prey and that you may be a danger to it. * Maintain eye contact and slowly back away toward a building, vehicle, or busy area. * Protect small children so they wont panic and run. * Fight back if attacked. Many potential victims have fought back successfully with rocks, sticks, caps, jackets, garden tools, their bare hands, and even mountain bikes. Since a mountain lion usually tries to bite the head or neck, try to remain standing and face the animal. * Report all mountain lion attacks to 911. For more information, visit the Arizona Game and Fish web page: Living With Mountain Lions: http://www.azgfd.gov/w_c/urban_lion.shtml

What is a Cattle Guard or Cattle Gate or Cattle Grid - Barbed Wire - Rick Gore Horsemanship

02:49
http://www.thinklikeahorse.org/ - Just a quick explanation of a Cattle Guard and how it works and how it is used to keep cattle from leaving open gates. This is an example of making the "wrong answer" hard. Also show a cow pushing on barbed wire as if it was nothing since a cow's hide is think and they do not get cut as easy as a horse. Horse fencing will not normally keep cattle in but cattle fencing can do more damage to a horse. Something to consider if keeping cattle and horses together. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cattle_grid Someone sent me this link about a horse that broke it's legs and got caught in a cattle guard. No one saw how it happened so unknown if the horse was chased, spooked or tried to cross it. Here is link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ajqERb1kVs

Can Long Distance Relationships Work?

03:06
Got this question.... Hi Richard, I just watched your most recent video and it is a good video, I like the Q&A because it get's straight to the point and I don't feel like we are wasting each other's time. I originally started to follow your channel for the business/entrepreneur posts because they apply to my life directly, however, these life-style videos are helping me reflect on ways to better round my life. So thank you for that. This video makes me think of my situation. I just moved to the Southern US from MTL (BIG change) after finishing university, I have a girlfriend who I have been dating for 1 year back home. She is still in school and plans to come join me when she finishes in 1 year. We both love each other very much, I think I was the first guy she ever slept with (or very very close to). She is a very calm and kind girl, after the last year together I do not think she has a mean bone in her body. If we both lived in the same city, I can seriously say I would like to spend the rest of my life with her. However, I am a little nervous that her "animal instinct"(don't know what else to call it) may come out over the course of the next year and she may cheat (purely because we cannot see each other as often). We have a fitness business together and she plans to focus on her marathon training but I don't want to be like one of those soldiers who heads off for a year and then comes home to his girlfriend with another guy. What can I do to prevent this? We plan to see each other once every 2 months at minimum, but I do not know if it is enough. What do you think of the situation? Is this something I should even be worried about? Do you know anyone who managed a long-distance relationship for this long? Thanks for the insight, keep up the great work!

Gratitude: Will Primrose at TEDxYouth@Kamloops

05:50
Will describes his dream career to be a high school music teacher and says that music is the universal language and the most amazing thing anyone can experience -- with it, teaching the important lesson of working not just as a team, but as a single entity driven by the same goal. Will's parents have always been the biggest influences on his life. Hismom taught him compassion, and how to base the things he does on how they will affect other people. His dad passed on to him the gift of music, and is the main reason music is incorporated into his life. Together, they continue to inspire him to achieve bigger and better things. Will's spirit animal would be a wolf because of the animals being exemplary in their ability to form plans, and be natural leaders. This instinct to lead is seen when Will talks about how often music education is considered to be expendable. Will is very passionate about this and says that too many people don't understand how beneficial music is to young people and would love to see it promoted more in schools. When asked what piece of advice he could have the youth always remember, he said "I would have them remember to stay positive. It's all in the attitude, think gratitude." In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
