Cholesterol tests: does yours indicate danger? Which ratios indicate cardiovascular or diabetes risk

12:29
PrevMedHeartRisk.com In order to interpret your cholesterol tests, we need to understand lipoproteins. If fats and oils are released into the bloodstream, they would cause major damage if not for lipoproteins. Fats and oils would coalesce into large "bubbles", or emboli. These emboli would cause damage like heart attack if not controlled. Lipoproteins keep the fats and oils from forming large, or embolic, particles. LDL (Low Density Liporotein) and HDL (High Density Liporotein) are the same except for the portion of protein. HDL has 50% or more protein. LDL has 25% or less protein. HDL is therefore like an empty dump truck, able to carry fats and oils away. LDL is like a full dump truck, spilling and leaving fats and oils in the lining of the arteries. That LDL deposition is plaque formation. Other particles get larger and are with more fats and oils. These are called IDL (Intermediate Density Lipoprotein) and VLDL ( Very Low Density Lipoprotein) all have more fats and oils (cholesterol and triglycerides). 6 SIGNS THAT YOU MAY HAVE HIGH CHOLESTEROL

05:02
Why is it so important to keep cholesterol at the normal levels and how to maintain it within the health limits? Cholesterol is a vital, fat-like substance that is contained in each cell of our body, as well as in our blood. Most of the cholesterol is produced by the liver, and the rest is procured through food. Please subscribe, click the bell and watch this video until the end to know the complete information. Cholesterol has extremely important reasons for our body and functions: it participates in the construction of cell membranes and in the formation of sexes and adrenal hormones; without cholesterol, the body can not synthesize vitamin D, which is indispensable to healthy bones, nor produces bile acid, without which fat in the body cannot be processed properly. When an excess of cholesterol accumulates in the body, it can not be broken down and this increases the risks to our health. The main danger is the onset of atherosclerosis, which in turn is the cause of most cardiovascular diseases such as a heart attack for example. The causes of increased levels of cholesterol in the blood are different: hereditary predisposition, chronic liver disease thyroid gland and diabetes. A sure way to maintain a normal cholesterol level is regular testing. Specialists recommend except for total, to monitor still poor (LDL) and good (HDL) cholesterol, as well as triglycerides. It is known that 20 years is the age in which the first examination for determining the values of cholesterol should be done. Revealed in time, increased cholesterol can be overcome and can not lead to serious health problems later. Here are 6 signs that you may have high cholesterol. 1. yellow growths on your eyelids. Did you know that yellowish eyelid can be a sign of high cholesterol? Take a good look at the eyelids, if you notice yellow spots, make a doctor’s appointment, check your cholesterol levels and your heart’s health. Also, do you notice painless yellow growths of the upper and lower eyelids? This phenomenon is called “xanthelasma” and it is a clear indication that you have high blood cholesterol levels. 2. gray-colored ring around your cornea. Often this is a sign of aging, so it should not be a cause for worry. But if you are far from retired, the gray circle around the iris may indicate high cholesterol and blood fat, which very often means a risk of heart attack or stroke. This gray colored ring or lacquer is actually composed of cholesterol that collects in the deeper parts of your cornea. 3. tingling sensation in the hands and feet. The tingling sensation of the hands and feet may indicate a problem in your body. This should be taken seriously because these symptoms can be caused by serious health problems. If the blood vessels are blocked by cholesterol, it is likely that you will feel tingling in your hands and feet, because your peripheral nerves are not getting do enough blood oxygen and nutrients for their proper functioning. 4. pain in the neck and back of the head. Because cholesterol levels that are too high can cause some of your blood vessels to block, it’s very possible that your circulation is obstructed. Such can leave your neck sensitive and deteriorate from time to time. The shoulder can also be felt in the same way. Medical practitioners say that high blood cholesterol levels can also make you have a headache, especially in the back of your head. 5. rapid or pounding beating of the heart. When a person says that she has heart palpitations, she thinks of the inner feeling that her heart beats something different from the usual one. Or, it simply has the awareness of the heartbeat. Most of the time, heart palpitations are harmless and they are often experienced after exercise or engaging in the intense physical activity. Sometimes they are due to anxiety, stress, and the intake of certain drugs. Palpitations may also indicate problems with the cardiovascular system, but and high cholesterol levels are one of them. Clogging the blood vessels due to cholesterol can lead to an accelerated operation of your heart. 6. unhealthy diet and lifestyle. If you eat plenty of fatty foods and avoid fruits and vegetables that contain a lot of fiber if you are a smoker and if you drink alcohol in excessive amounts, if you are overweight and do not exercise regularly, then there is a great chance that your cholesterol level is already high. But sometimes high cholesterol depends on our genes. About 1 in 500 people have a specific genetic mutation that leads to the accumulation of cholesterol in their blood. These people suffer from high cholesterol regardless of their lifestyle. if you suspect that you may have high cholesterol then please start eating a healthy diet and get levels checked out at the hospital. Thank you for watching. please like, comment, subscribe and share with your friends and family. 6 SIGNS THAT YOU MAY HAVE HIGH CHOLESTEROL https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RWPTjQScySk

Magical Drink to Reduce CHOLESTEROL in 2 weeks Naturally || Works 100% || Homemade ||

Magical drink to reduce cholesterol in 2 weeks. With Only Half Cup A Day You Will Lower Your Cholesterol and Lose Belly Fat Like Crazy!!! With Only 3 Tablespoons A Day You Will Lower Your Cholesterol and Lose Belly Fat Like Crazy!!! Cholesterol is a fatty substance made by your body and found in certain foods. Your body needs some cholesterol in order to function properly, but having too much (high cholesterol) puts you at risk for having a heart attack or stroke. The extra cholesterol that isn’t used by your body builds up in blood vessel walls, causing blockages. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), having high cholesterol doubles your risk of heart disease. Total cholesterol = LDL + HDL + Triglycerides  LDL (low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, also called "bad" cholesterol) HDL (high-density lipoprotein cholesterol, also called "good" cholesterol) Triglycerides (fats carried in the blood from the food we eat. Excess calories, alcohol, or sugar in the body are converted into triglycerides and stored in fat cells throughout the body.) The good news is that lifestyle changes are effective in helping you reduce cholesterol levels. They’re also fairly straightforward and can be done at any age. Exercise: Physical activity helps you lose weight and boosts your HDL levels. Aim for 30 to 60 minutes a day of moderate cardio. Eat more fiber: Replace white breads and pastas with whole grains. Eat healthy fats: Olive oil, avocado, and nuts all have fats that won’t raise your LDL. Limit cholesterol intake: Reduce the amount of high-saturated fat foods like cheese, whole milk, and high-fat red meats. Quit smoking. It’s important to remember that everyone is different. Family history and whether or not you have other conditions, such as diabetes, plays a role in your individual risks. For what reason would it be a good idea for you to think about amylase? The part of stomach related compounds is to go about as impetuses in accelerating particular, life-saving concoction responses in the body. Basically, stomach related chemicals help with separating bigger atoms into all the more effortlessly consumed particles that the body can use to survive and flourish. Without legitimate levels of amylase and other stomach related proteins, it truly is difficult to have your wellbeing be getting it done. 5 Amylase Health Benefits: What are a portion of the ways that amylase can profit your wellbeing? Indeed, beside the most key and focal capacity to legitimately process sugars, it likewise holds a considerable measure of other profitable medical advantages that will presumably amaze you. 1. Enhanced Digestion: Your mouth is where both the mechanical and compound breakdown of your sustenance happens through the consolidated utilization of your teeth, jaws and spit. Amylases are imperative to your stomach related process since they're expected to process any starches in your eating routine, which are a fundamental source from which individuals determine glucose, the essential sugar atom the body utilizes for vitality. It's key that you join your body's normal amylase-creating capacity with your regular capacity to bite. Why is this essential? Since if sustenance isn't legitimately separated in the mouth, at that point your body has more work to do with a specific end goal to process and concentrate supplements and vitality from whatever you eat. By biting altogether, you give the amylase more opportunity to process any carbs that you have devoured, and the additional time amylase needs to work the better and speedier your general absorption will be. Moreover, cells in your pancreas make another type of amylase called pancreatic amylase, which goes through a conduit to achieve your small digestive tract. Pancreatic amylase finishes the absorption of sugars. 2. More Energy: I'm certain you realize that nourishment furnishes your body with supplements, as well as gives it the vitality it needs to prop you up every day. Glucose is the essential sugar particle that the body utilizes for vitality, and keeping in mind that you never need to have high glucose levels (think diabetes), you need to acquire some glucose in your eating routine from solid sources. The amylases in your body separate starch into two sugar units, maltose and isomaltose, and afterward different compounds, called maltase and isomaltase, hydrolyze these two sugars into the individual monosaccharide glucose. (2) Foods that are high in starch incorporate breads, grains, oats, pasta, rice, beans, corn, potatoes and peas. If not for amylase, your body wouldn't have the capacity to utilize sustenances like these so proficiently to fuel you. 3. Against Diabetes: A recent report distributed in the Journal of Clinical and Diagnostic Research was intended to decide the serum amylase, blood glucose and the serum lipid profile in 110 sort 2 diabetes patients contrasted with solid people of a similar age and sex. The exploration demonstrated that for the diabetic subjects wherever glucose levels were higher, serum amylase movement was observed to be altogether lower. This finding was intelligent of pancreas glitch and addresses the significance of a solid pancreas creating sound measures of amylase. (3) Another investigation found that low serum amylase levels are related with an expanded danger of metabolic variations from the norm like diabetes and additionally metabolic disorder. (4) Together, these examinations demonstrate the capacity of this stomach related catalyst to keep up ordinary glucose levels and help treat or invert diabetes side effects. Why Cholesterol Can Go High on a Ketogenic Diet

02:10
Tell Me Your Success with Before & After Images: https://www.drberg.com/add-client-suc... Take Dr. Berg's Advanced Evaluation Quiz: http://bit.ly/EvalQuiz Your report will then be sent via email analyzing 104 potential symptoms, giving you a much deeper insight into the cause-effect relationship of your body issues. It's free and very enlightening. Dr. Berg talks about cholesterol being high on a ketogenic diet. This is an oversimplified talk and for more detailed data - see the video on LDL. However, as your fat cells shrink, the fat cell not only releases triglycerides, but cholesterol too. Many people do not know the fat cells are filled with both. The excess cholesterol needs to either be eliminated through the liver and gallbladder (bile) or be recycled. This is all a normal process on ketosis. Hey guys, I want to talk about what will happen if your cholesterol went high on a ketogenic diet. The first thing you should know is that when you lose weight, the fat cells actually shrink. They won’t go away completely, you can’t get rid of the fat cells but you can shrink it. Second thing you need to know is inside that fat cell you have, triglycerides and cholesterol. A lot of people don’t realize that cholesterol is also stored in the fat cells. As the fat cell shrinks, you can burn triglycerides for fuel but you cannot burn cholesterol, it is not a fuel source. It is going to be eliminated to the body as you lose weight. As the fat cell is squeezed, the cholesterol is going to increase in the blood and is going to go in the liver and comes out to the bile. As long as your liver is healthy and you’re eating a lot of vegetables, and you have enough bile, you are totally fine even if your LDL is fine. The key thing is to make sure that your triglycerides are low because if you are not using your triglycerides as a fuel then there is a problem, you are probably eating too much sugar but when you are in ketogenic diet and you are doing it correctly and your triglycerides are low and your HDL and LDL is high, all that means is that you are burning more LDL and there is no bad effects that are going to happen, just keep your vegetables high and as you keep closer to your weight loss goal, that will level out and come back normal. Best Herbs For Prediabetes?

09:24
Don't forget to get my diabetes management guide here https://goo.gl/3e9s3e I have stated before and will reiterate that I am not one who thinks the only way to treat disease is through modern medicine. There are traditional remedies that have worked for centuries with certain people with certain conditions and I will never scoff at anyone who feels they can use them to help treat. I do stop when I hear the word “cure” when it comes to diabetes and prediabetes, because I don’t feel there is a “cure” for these illnesses, but am open to the word “reverse”. That being said, let’s take a look at a recent research item I have been working on concerning herbal remedies that may help with prediabetes. Before we start I want to give you my working definition of an herb. An herb is any plant with leaves, seeds, or flowers used for flavoring, food, medicine, or perfume. Some people have different ideas of what herbs are, so right up front I want you to know what I consider an herb and it’s place in this video. This will not be a comprehensive list, but a list of some of the herbs I have come across in research. Cloves Cloves offer anti-inflammatory, analgesic and digestive health benefits for diabetics.Cloves protect the heart, liver and lens of the eye of diabetic rats, according to studies. This spice contains 30% of the antioxidant phenol in dry weight, along with antioxidants anthocyanins and quercetin. As a result, cloves have antiseptic as well as germicidal properties. It also offers anti-inflammatory, analgesic and digestive health benefits for diabetics. Another study done with 36 participants with T2D divided into four groups wherein they were given 0, 1, 2 or 3 g of cloves/day for 30 days followed by a 10-day washout period had the following results. Serum glucose decreased from 225 ± 67 to 150 ± 46 mg/dL Triglycerides decreased from 235 ± 63 mg/dL to 203 ± 86 mg/dL Serum total cholesterol decreased from 273 ± 78 mg/dL to 239 ± 47 mg/dL LDL decreased from 175 ± 73 mg/dL to 145 ± 44 mg/dL Rosemary Rosemary helps normalize blood sugar levels naturallyAn aromatic herb that is used commonly to add flavor and aroma to meats and soups, Rosemary also helps normalize blood sugar levels naturally. It promotes weight loss as well, which is a double boon for many diabetics who struggle with weight issues. A research conducted in Jordan to study the effects of rosemary on lipid profile in diabetic rats proved that rosemary has no significant influence on serum glucose level and lipid profile of normal rats. But when rosemary extract was administered to diabetic rats for 4 weeks, their blood sugar levels reduced by 20%, cholesterol levels by 22%, triglyceride levels by 24%, and LDL by 27% while HDL increased by 18% respectively. The study was published in African Journal of Plant Science Vol. 6 in 2012. Oregano Oregano is considered one of the best herbs to lower blood sugar levels.Popular in Italian, Spanish and Mediterranean cooking, oregano is considered one of the best herbs to lower blood sugar levels. A Mexican study on “Inhibition of Advanced Glycation End-Product Formation by Origanum majorana L. In Vitro and in Streptozotocin-Induced Diabetic Rats” revealed that that oregano alleviated oxidative stress under diabetic conditions through the inhibition of lipid peroxidation. Oregano may also prevent and/or delay the onset of renal damage. So don’t skimp on the herb when you’re cooking a meal next time! Sage Sage is considered one of the best herbs to lower blood sugar levels.Sage can have metformin-like effects, according to a study published in the British Journal of Nutrition. So you may want to consider cooking with this herb often. It has been used on traditional medicine for centuries, as one of the important herbs to reduce blood sugar. A word of warning – taking high doses of sage along with diabetes medications might cause your blood sugar to go too low, a condition called hypoglycemia. Monitor your blood sugar closely.

Dave Feldman: Biohacking High Cholesterol Levels on Keto Diet

Dave Feldman explains how some get high cholesterol blood results on a keto diet, but how quickly you can reduce your cholesterol levels if needed. Dave is fast becoming a sought after cholesterol expert in the low carb diet community. This is because of his in depth and extensive self-experimentation results. Dave is a hyper-responder to a keto diet. This means when he eats more fat and less carb he experiences a rise in LDL cholesterol unlike others who can get the opposite. However, Dave is trying to crack the cholesterol code by testing on his own body what happens when he manipulates certain factors to his cholesterol blood test readings. He has discovered the inversion pattern plus devised the Feldman Protocol for reducing cholesterol within a day or two if needed quickly. If you have changed your diet to eat less carbohydrates and more fat, but your blood tests show your cholesterol has gone up and now you are worried then this interview is for you. Listen to Dave to help ease your mind and know how weak a biomarker cholesterol is for cardiovascular disease. Don't Forget To Subscribe: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC204XrPPO1WzOUNtyiiVXzg Welcome to Health And Wellness Center. In this video you will see: A 2013 study published in the Journal of Clinical & Diagnostic Research was designed to determine the serum amylase, blood glucose and the serum lipid profile in 110 type 2 diabetes patients compared to healthy individuals of the same age and sex. The research showed that for the diabetic subjects wherever blood sugar levels were higher, serum amylase activity was found to be significantly lower. This finding was reflective of pancreas malfunction and speaks to the importance of a healthy pancreas producing healthy amounts of amylase. Another study found that low serum amylase levels are associated with an increased risk of metabolic abnormalities like diabetes as well as metabolic syndrome.Together, these studies show the ability of this digestive enzyme to maintain normal blood sugar levels and help treat or reverse diabetes symptoms. At what time interval after meal should one take fasting Blood Sugar tes?t-Dr. Nagaraj S

01:02
Usually the fasting blood sugar are usually done after 8 hours of fasting. So we recommend the patient that if he is taking an early morning blood sugar, he should not take any food after 9.30 and directly he can come with a fasting status to the laboratory by 7 to 7.30 and he can do the blood test. But if you are doing a fasting blood sugar and a lipid profile or a cholesterol test together then my recommendation is that the fasting status should be more than 10 hours. But ideally for only sugars or a fasting blood sugar, 8 hours of fasting is sufficient post meal.

Complications of diabetes mellitus Management - One Health

Diabetes Mellitus - Complications of diabetes mellitus Management - One Health 👉👉👉 Get It Here: http://tinyurl.com/lydyceh 👈👈👈 Modulating and ameliorating diabetic complications may in turn improve the overall quality of life for diabetic patients. For example; when elevated blood pressure was tightly controlled, diabetic related deaths were reduced by 32% compared to those with less controlled blood pressure. Many observational and clinical studies had been conducted to investigate the role of several vitamins on diabetic complications, the results of these studies elevated a suggested beneficial role of vitamins on diabetic complications. In the First National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES I) Epidemiologic Follow-up Study, vitamin supplementations were observed to be associated with 24% reduction on the risk of diabetes was observed during 20 years of follow-up. Many observational studies and clinical trials have linked several vitamins with the pathological process of diabetes; these vitamin include folate, thiamine, β-carotene, and vitamin E, C, B 12, and D. However, numerous researches had been shown inconsistent results about the roles of vitamins on diabetic risk and complications. Most of these researches performed to investigate effect of individual vitamin without looking to status of other vitamins. Even though, it is expected that vitamin supplementation might be more effective and might induce a beneficial role on diabetic process when deficiency exists. Despite the current contradictory in the association between the discussed vitamins and diabetic complications, and regardless of the lack of strong and inclusive evidence about their mechanism of action, the discussed effects of these vitamins seem promising for preventing and reducing the severity of diabetic complications. Since optimal blood level of all vitamins is important for normal metabolic process, it is essential to encourage diabetic patients and high risk population to try to achieve and maintain this level. And until more inclusive evidence is established about vitamins supplementations, the awareness of diabetic patients should be elevated toward the importance of consuming adequate amounts of all vitamins. Thiamine: Thiamine acts as an essential cofactor in glucose metabolism, therefore, it may modulate diabetic complications by controlling glycemic status in diabetic patients. Additionally, deficiency of thiamine was observed to be associated with dysfunction of β-cells and impaired glucose tolerance. Different studies indicated possible role of thiamin supplementation on the prevention or reversal of early stage diabetic nephropathy, as well as significant improvement on lipid profile. What is Cholesterol level A to Z full information in urdu /hindi

07:20
Cholesterol, from the Ancient Greek chole- (bile) and stereos (solid) followed by the chemical suffix -ol for an alcohol, is an organic molecule. It is a sterol (or modified steroid),[4] a type of lipid molecule, and is biosynthesized by all animal cells, because it is an essential structural component of all animal cell membranes and is essential to maintain both membrane structural integrity and fluidity. Cholesterol allows animal cells to function without a cell wall (which in other species protects membrane integrity and cell viability); this allows animal cells to change shape rapidly. In addition to its importance for animal cell structure, cholesterol also serves as a precursor for the biosynthesis of steroid hormones, bile acid,[5] and vitamin D. Cholesterol is the principal sterol synthesized by all animals. In vertebrates, hepatic cells typically produce the greatest amounts. It is absent among prokaryotes (bacteria and archaea), although there are some exceptions, such as Mycoplasma, which require cholesterol for growth.[6] François Poulletier de la Salle first identified cholesterol in solid form in gallstones in 1769. However, it was not until 1815 that chemist Michel Eugène Chevreul named the compound "cholesterine....Since cholesterol is essential for all animal life, each cell is capable of synthesizing it by way of a complex 37-step process, beginning with the mevalonate pathway and ending with a 19-step conversion of lanosterol to cholesterol.[citation needed] Furthermore, it can be absorbed directly from animal-based foods. A human male weighing 68 kg (150 lb) normally synthesizes about 1 gram (1,000 mg) per day, and his body contains about 35 g, mostly contained within the cell membranes. Typical daily cholesterol dietary intake for a man in the United States is 307 mg.[9] Most ingested cholesterol is esterified, and esterified cholesterol is poorly absorbed. The body also compensates for any absorption of additional cholesterol by reducing cholesterol synthesis.[10] For these reasons, cholesterol in food, seven to ten hours after ingestion, has little, if any effect on concentrations of cholesterol in the blood. However, during the first seven hours after ingestion of cholesterol, as absorbed fats are being distributed around the body within extracellular water by the various lipoproteins (which transport all fats in the water outside cells), the concentrations increase.[11] It is also important to recognize, however, that the concentrations measured in the samples of blood plasma vary with the measurement methods used. Traditional, cheaper methods do not reflect (a) which lipoproteins are transporting the various fat molecules, nor (b) which cells are ingesting, burning or exporting the fat molecules being measured as totals from samples of blood plasma.[citation needed] Cholesterol is recycled in the body. The liver excretes it in a non-esterified form (via bile) into the digestive tract. Typically, about 50% of the excreted cholesterol is reabsorbed by the small intestine back into the bloodstream.[citation needed] Plants make cholesterol in very small amounts.[12] Plants manufacture phytosterols (substances chemically similar to cholesterol), which can compete with cholesterol for reabsorption in the intestinal tract, thus potentially reducing cholesterol reabsorption.[13] When intestinal lining cells absorb phytosterols, in place of cholesterol, they usually excrete the phytosterol molecules back into the GI tract, an important protective mechanism. The intake of naturally occurring phytosterols, which encompass plant sterols and stanols, ranges between ~200–300 mg/day depending on eating habits.[14] Specially designed vegetarian experimental diets have been produced yielding upwards of 700 mg/day
