So today, I’m here to pass on all of my wisdom, so you can learn from my mistakes. I’ve simplified the entire process of gaining muscle to 4 simple and clinically proven “ingredients”. 4 Primary Ingredients For Building Muscle Ingredient #1 - HORMONES Before anything can be said and done, you must have the right hormones for building muscle. They need to be optimized. We all have different genetics and please don’t compare yourself to someone else who might have great genetics and then think there’s something wrong with you. Just as someone who is a genius and has a high IQ, some people are just born with lots of muscle cells and the perfect hormones for building muscle and losing fat. If you don’t optimize your hormones, anything else you do will NOT work and it’ll be a waste of effort, time and money. In fact, the right hormonal environment will make you grow muscle without doing anything - no exercise, diets or supplements. And, this is exactly what happens when you hit puberty and all of a sudden you start getting muscular, leaner, more aggressive, hornier, etc. It’s ALL about the hormones. But let’s move on to the second most important ingredient and that’s EXERCISE Ingredient #2 - EXERCISE In order for muscle to grow, it FIRST needs to be “stimulated” and that requires exercise. The correct form of exercise ALSO produces important hormones and growth factors, that will build muscle. And in order to do this, you need to lift weights. Now, this can be with dumbbells, barbells, cables, machines or your own bodyweight. It doesn’t matter. Okay, now that you’ve stimulated the muscle, have produced the right hormones, it’s time to FEED your muscles. Ingredient #2 - DIET If you don’t feed your muscles, the workouts will cause you to LOSE muscle. In fact, this is what happened to me when I first started. I thought I’d lift weights to make my muscles grow and then eat less food to lose fat. But all I did was get smaller and weaker. I was like anorexic. However, you don’t need that much extra food. Increase your calories by about 250-500 daily and see how you look and feel after a month. If you’re not getting fat, then good. If you are, lower the calories a little. This has to do with YOUR body, so listen to it, pay attention. As far as WHAT to eat. Okay… this is where all the confusion comes. Simple, easy and effective. Ingredient #4 - REST Now that you’ve stimulate and fed the muscle, you need to REST it. Just like a baby, you need your rest to grow. As far as sleep, get as much as you need. যে ৫টি কাজ করে হাড় ক্ষয়রোধ করবেন। আমাদের দেহকে ধারণ করে রাখে দেহের ভেতরে হাড়ের তৈরি কঙ্কাল। হাড় আমাদের জন্য কতোটা গুরুত্বপূর্ণ তা হয়তো আমরা আপাত দৃষ্টিতে বুঝতে পারি না। কিন্তু হাড়ের গঠনে সমস্যা হলেই আমরা হয়ে যেতে পারি জড় পদার্থ। কিন্তু এতো গুরুত্বপূর্ণ এই জিনিসটির জন্য আমরা তেমন কিছুই করি না। এর ফলে অনেক কম বয়স থেকেই হাড়ের বিভিন্ন রোগ হাড়কে নষ্ট করে শরীরকে ধীরে ধীরে অক্ষম করে দেয়। আর হাড় সংক্রান্ত মারাত্মক সমস্যা হচ্ছে হাড়ের ক্ষয়। তবে নিয়মিত যত্নের মাধ্যমে এই সমস্যাটিকেও দূরে রাখা সম্ভব। হাড়ের ক্ষয় রোধ করতে নিয়মিত কিছু ছোট্ট কাজ করাই যথেষ্ট। # মানসিক চাপ দূরে রাখুন অনেকে না জানলেও, মানসিক চাপের সাথে হাড়ের অনেক গুরুত্বপূর্ণ সম্পর্ক রয়েছে। মানসিক চাপে থাকলে আমাদের দেহে নিঃসরণ হয় কারটিসোল নামক একটি হরমোনের যা হাড়ের ক্ষয়ের জন্য বিশেষভাবে দায়ী। তাই মানসিক চাপটাকে যতো দূরে রাখবেন আপনার জন্য ততোই ভালো হবে। # দূর করুন ভিটামিন ডি এর অভাব খাবারের মাধ্যমে আমরা যে ক্যালসিয়াম দেহে নিয়ে থাকি তা হাড় দ্বারা শোষণ হয় ভিটামিন ডি এর মাধ্যমে। যদি দেহে ভিটামিন ডি এর অভাব থাকে তবে ক্যালসিয়াম সমৃদ্ধ খাবার খাওয়ার পরেও হাড়ের সমস্যা থেকে মুক্ত থাকা সম্ভব হয় না। তাই হাড়ের সমস্যা ও ক্ষয় রোধ করতে ভিটামিন ডি এর অভাব পূরণ করতে হবে সর্তক ভাবে। মাছ, মাছের তেল, দুধ, সয়া দুধ, ফলমূলে রয়েছে ভিটামিন ডি। সূর্যের আলোর মাধ্যমেও দেহের ভিটামিন ডি এর চাহিদা পূরণ সম্ভব। ভোরের আলো গায়ে লাগালেও অনেক উপকার পাবেন। # হাড়ের জন্য পুষ্টিকর খাবার মজবুত হাড়ের জন্য খাদ্যতালিকায় অবশ্যই ক্যালসিয়াম সমৃদ্ধ খাবার রাখতে হবে। কম ফ্যাট যুক্ত দুধ ও দুগ্ধজাত খাবার খেতে হবে প্রতিদিন। দুধ, ডিম, কাঠবাদাম, ক্যালসিয়াম সমৃদ্ধ সামুদ্রিক মাছ, সবুজ শাকসবজি, ব্রকলি, প্রচুর পরিমাণে ফলমূল রাখতে হবে খাদ্য তালিকায়। এতে করেই আপনি পেতে পারেন মজবুত হাড়। # বন্ধ করুন ধূমপান ও মদ্যপান ধূমপানের ফলে হাড়ের ক্ষয় বাড়তে থাকে এবং এরজন্য হাড়ের ভঙ্গুরতা বৃদ্ধি পায়। যারা নিয়মিত ধূমপান ও মদ্যপান করেন তাদের দেহ খাবারের পুষ্টি সঠিকভাবে দেহে সরবরাহ করতে পারে না। খাবার খাওয়ার পরেও পুষ্টি সঠিকভাবে হাড়ে না পৌঁছানোর কারণে হাড় ক্ষয় হতে থাকে। তাই সুস্থ দেহ ও হাড়ের জন্য ধূমপান ও মদ্যপান বন্ধ করে দিন আজই। # শারীরিক পরিশ্রম প্রতিদিন যারা একটানা বসার কাজ করেন তাদের দেহের হাড়ের ভঙ্গুরতা বৃদ্ধি পায় অন্যান্যদের তুলনায় অনেক বেশি। যারা একেবারেই শারীরিক পরিশ্রম করেন না তাদের হাড় অপেক্ষাকৃত নরম ও দুর্বল হয়ে পড়ে দ্রুতই। শারীরিক ব্যায়াম, খেলাধুলা, নাচ, সাইকেল চালানো, সাতার কাটা ইত্যাদি বেশ ভালো শারীরিক পরিশ্রম যা হাড়কে মজবুত করে তোলে এবং হাড়ের ক্ষয়রোধে সহায়তা করে।

Garlic is commonly used as a natural alternative to antibiotics – it can be used to treat infections and viruses, but it’s important to understand how to properly use this natural cure in order to get the full effect. Here are some common mistakes that people make when using medicinal garlic: 1. Cooking Garlic Before Using It Cooked garlic can be lovely as flavouring for your food, but when you cook garlic you lose some of the active ingredient a.k.a. allicin, a sulfer-containing compound found in raw garlic. Allicin is activated when raw garlic is chopped, crushed or chewed – but is deactivated by heat. The best way to consume garlic in order to get the maximum healing factor from it is to eat it raw 10 minutes after crushing or chopping it. 2. Taking Garlic In Pill Form Many people are put off by the smell and taste of raw garlic, and so opt to take it in the form of a pill. This is an easy fix, but as is often the case, the easy fix is less effective. Dried garlic is often heat- treated, which destroys the active ingredient allicin – just as with cooked garlic. For best results, fresh, uncooked garlic is the way to go. 3. Using Garlic That Is No Longer Fresh Fresh garlic is a much healthier option that garlic that has been sitting out for a long time. You can tell if garlic is fresh by slicing it open down the middle – if there is a green strip running through the centre of the clove, the garlic is fresh. 4. Not Taking Enough Garlic A therapeutic dose of garlic is generally larger than most people think it is – one clove of garlic a day won’t make much difference when you’re trying to fight off an infection. You’ll want to take two to three average to large-sized cloves each day. 5. Not Replenishing Stomach Flora As a natural antibiotic, garlic can affect your stomach flora, depleting friendly bacteria and upsetting the delicate balance of your intestines. The best way to deal with this is by eating plenty of fermented foods – these contain vital probiotics to help replenish your natural bacteria stores. What about your potatoes when they get a little wrinkly? How about ginger-root that sits out on the counter too long? Well, you could be getting a lot more value out of your produce than you may realize! Many popular edibles can be regrown from the scraps you're likely throwing-out. Keep watching for a list of veggie scraps you will want to hang on to, from here on out. 1.Basil Basil is a breeze to propagate. Simply take some healthy, fresh, 4-inch cuttings from a young basil plant. Leave just two sets of leaves at the top of each cutting, and remove the remaining leaves. Then, submerge the cuttings in a few inches of clean-water. It may take between 1-2 weeks for roots to form after which Plant it in a small-pot for the windowsill, or out in your garden.  2.Mint Another herb worth growing from cuttings is mint. Much like basil, you'll want cuttings about 4 to 5 inches in length. Remove lower leaves and place the cuttings in clean-water. Once roots develop, Transfer to a container filled with potting-soil.  3.Green Onions and Scallions Do you love to toss some green-onions on just about everything? Buy them once, and then grow them from the scraps on a windowsill. Place the root leftover from the green-onions in a couple of inches of water.  And in just a few days you'll notice roots form but also the leaves will start to grow. Continue to harvest while in water, or plant in a container of potting-soil. 4.Ginger Root Have you ever bought ginger-root and noticed little buds forming? Plant it! You'll have fresh ginger to harvest soon enough! Soak the roots overnight to encourage growth, and then you can transfer it to a container filled with potting-soil. Ginger doesn't like standing-water, so make sure your container has drainage-holes. ​ 5.Garlic If your garlic-cloves start to sprout, plant them! Garlic is one of the easiest plants to grow over and over again. One clove planted in the garden, in either early-fall or late winter depending on your area, can multiply into a bulb of multiple-cloves. 6.Celery Celery follows the same protocol as many others. Once you use the celery-stalks, save the end that's leftover. Place it root side down in clean water for around a week, then transfer the celery to rich, well-draining soil and watch it really start to take-off. 7.Lettuce Buy a fresh head of lettuce, make a salad, and plop the base of the leaves you're left with in a couple of inches of water. Within a week it will begin to regrow! And 8. Sweet-Potatoes If you love sweet-potatoes, consider growing them yourself! submerging more than half of a sweet-potato in a glass of water and sitting it on a sunny windowsill. 12 Foods That Treat Osteoporosis and Promote Strong Bones! Believe it or not, the foods that you eat can affect every part of your body, including your bones. Maintaining a diet rich in calcium, Vitamin D and other nutrients that are essential for bone health, as well as overall health, can help strengthen bones and prevent osteoporosis in the future, allowing you to live a healthy lifestyle. To promote strong bones and deter bone loss, add these foods to your daily diet: 1. Coconut Oil A recent study suggests that supplementing your diet with virgin coconut oil may help reverse the effects of estrogen deficiency, which includes the loss of bone density. The antioxidant properties of coconut oil can help maintain bone structure and prevent bone loss due to hormonal changes. You can take coconut oil in one of two ways: • Consume 3 tablespoons of virgin coconut oil each day to prevent osteoporosis, • Use virgin coconut oil for cooking. 2. Apples The antioxidants, polyphenols and flavonoids in apples make this fruit a powerful tool against osteoporosis. Phloridzin, a flavonoid in apples, helps improve inflammation markers and increase bone density. Apples are also rich in boron, a trace mineral that helps the body hold onto calcium. Eat an organic apple each day, including the skin. 3. Sesame Seeds Sesame seeds are rich in calcium, which is one of the most essential nutrients for bone health. They also contain magnesium, manganese, copper, zinc, phosphorus and vitamins K and D. • Chew a handful of roasted white sesame seeds in the morning. • Or, mix 1 teaspoon of roasted, ground sesame seeds into 1 cup of warm milk and drink each day. 4. Almond Milk Almond milk contains calcium, along with flavonoids that help reduce the number of free radicals in the body, protecting it from osteoporosis. Almond milk also contains magnesium, manganese and potassium, which are essential for strong and healthy bones. 1. Soak 1 cup of almonds in water overnight. 2. The next day, remove the peels, put the almonds in a blender and add 2 cups of water. 3. Blend to a smooth puree, then add a little cinnamon powder and honey to taste. 4. Strain the solution and drink daily. 5. Prunes According to a Florida State University study published in the British Journal of Nutrition, eating prunes on a daily basis can help prevent fractures and osteoporosis. Prunes contain a high concentration of polyphenols – antioxidants that help reduce bone loss. They’re also a good source of boron and copper, which are two trace minerals that are important in bone formation. • Eat 2-3 prunes on a daily basis, and gradually increase to 6-10 per day. 6. Pineapple Pineapple contains manganese, which is beneficial in preventing and treating osteoporosis. Manganese deficiency has been associated with bone loss and bone malformation, which can cause osteoporosis. • Eat 1 cup of fresh pineapple daily for about 75% of the required daily dose of manganese. • Or, drink 1 cup of pineapple juice daily. 7. Omega-3 Fatty Acids A study published in the Journal of Bone Mineral Research found that the omega-3 fatty acids in fish oil inhibit the activation of factors that lead to bone loss and muscle loss. Omega-3 fatty acids are able to minimize bone breakdown. Two ways to get more Omega-3s: • Eat cold-water fish such as salmon, to help raise the amount of essential fatty acids in your diet. • Eat walnuts, chia seeds or hemp seeds. 8. Dark, Leafy Green Vegetables Dark, leafy green vegetables such as spinach, collard greens, kale, mustard greens and turnip greens contain Vitamin K, an essential nutrient for keeping bones healthy and strong. Make vegetables a large part of your daily diet, especially leafy green ones! 9. Coriander The minerals in coriander are valuable for maintaining bone health. Coriander leaves and seeds are rich in calcium, potassium and manganese, along with magnesium and iron. Calcium and magnesium play a key role in treating and preventing weak bones. 1. Mix 2 teaspoons of coriander seeds in 1 cup of hot water. 2. Cover and steep for 10 minutes. 3. Strain and add honey 4. Drink twice a day. 10. Cabbage Cabbage is high in Vitamin K, folate and Vitamin B6, which are all essential for bone health. Cabbage is also high in calcium and it contains Vitamin C, which significantly improves the body’s ability to absorb more calcium. 11. Green Peas Green peas are high in Vitamin K, Vitamin B6 and folate. These nutrients work to prevent dangerous molecules that can prevent collagen from forming a proper bone matrix. In this weeks video, I tackle Osteoporosis and offer some solutions to this degenerative disease. The facts: 1-2 females will have osteopenia or osteoporosis 1-5 males will have osteopenia or osteoporosis People will lose bone density because of: 1. Aging/sedentary lifestyle 2. Lack of a wide variety of proper nutrients; not just calcium 3. Certain medicine such as blood thinners, and certain anti inflammatory medicine Here are some solutions: Eat more vegetables. I always say that you can eat an unlimited amount of green veggies and this applies more than ever in this video. Spinach and kale are great. Have a minimum of 5 cups of veggies per day. Veggies are alkaline and will naturally decrease inflammation in our body. An adult needs 1000-1300mg of calcium per day If you think that milk is your answer for how to improve bone density you're wrong. There have been studies done that even though the milk we've been drinking for generations does have a lot of calcium, it does not necessarily lead to strong bones as the ads have claimed Calcium from milk and other animal products is absorbed at a much smaller rate than from plant based products. Beans, nuts, and especially green vegetables like kale have been shown to have a better effect on calcium absorption than milk. Just because its got a lot of calcium doesn't mean your body is absorbing all that calcium. Also eat more omega 3 fatty acids to help the absorption of calcium. Now lets get to what really works 100% of the time to increase bone density, recover from low bone density, and prevent you from ever losing it again...Exercise!!!! Many doctors believe in walking or running to increase bone density, but...I don't believe this is going to give you the results you want. I know a doctor being wrong about something and a trainer being right...mind blowing. Having extra weight on your bones, joints, and muscles during exercises is not only beneficial, but necessary for your survival. I'm sure you've heard the saying, "if you don't use it you lose it." Well the reason that you're losing bone density is because your not using it. Great movements to increase bone density are Squats, Lunges, push ups, and really almost any other basic weight bearing exercises I can think of. Start with low weight or just your body weight in the beginning and work your way up. Calcium is also important in muscle contraction and in clotting of blood. The recommended daily amount of calcium is 1000 milligrams per day. Get enough vitamin D in your diet. Vitamin d is important to bone health because it helps with the absorption of calcium. The recommended amount of vitamin d is 600IU per day. Vitamin D can be produced naturally from sunlight exposure as the UV rays induce the body to manufacture Vitamin D from cholesterol. Foods rich in vitamin D include salmon, tuna, mushrooms, almond milk, soy milk, orange juice, many cereals and oatmeal, and dairy products. 4. Maintain a healthy weight. A new study by researchers at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago shows a diet plan they developed -- appropriately called the MIND diet -- may reduce the risk of developing Alzheimer's disease by as much as 53 percent. Even those who didn't stick to the diet perfectly but followed it "moderately well" reduced their risk of Alzheimer's by about a third. Diet appears to be just one of "many factors that play into who gets the disease," said nutritional epidemiologist Martha Clare Morris, PhD, the lead author of the MIND diet study. Genetics and other factors like smoking, exercise and education also play a role. But the MIND diet helped slow the rate of cognitive decline and protect against Alzheimer's regardless of other risk factors. The study, published in the journal Alzheimer's & Dementia, looked at more than 900 people between the ages of 58 and 98 who filled out food questionnaires and underwent repeated neurological testing. It found participants whose diets most closely followed the MIND recommendations had a level of cognitive function the equivalent of a person 7.5 years younger. The MIND diet breaks its recommendations down into 10 "brain healthy food groups" a person should eat and five "unhealthy food groups" to avoid. It combines many elements of two other popular nutrition plans which have been proven to benefit heart health: the Mediterranean diet and the DASH (Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension) diet. (MIND stands for Mediterranean-DASH Intervention for Neurodegenerative Delay.) But the MIND diet also differs from those plans in a few significant ways and proved more effective than either of them at reducing the risk of Alzheimer's. Green leafy vegetables The MIND diet recommends frequent servings of green leafy vegetables. Kale, spinach, broccoli, collards and other greens are packed with vitamins A and C and other nutrients. At least two servings a week can help, and researchers found six or more servings a week provide the greatest brain benefits. The Mediterranean and DASH diets do not specifically recommend these types of vegetables, but the MIND diet study found that including greens in addition to other veggies made a difference in reducing the risk of Alzheimer's. Other vegetables Like other diets focused on weight loss and heart health, the MIND diet emphasizes the importance of vegetables for brain health. The researchers recommend eating a salad and at least one other vegetable every day to reduce the risk of Alzheimer's. Nuts Nuts are a good snack for brain health, according to the MIND diet study. Nuts contain healthy fats, fiber and antioxidants, and other studies have found they can help lower bad cholesterol and reduce the risk of heart disease. The MIND diet recommends eating nuts at least five times a week. Berries Berries are the only fruit specifically recommended in the MIND diet. "Blueberries are one of the more potent foods in terms of protecting the brain," Morris said. She noted that strawberries have also shown benefits in past studies looking at the effect of food on cognitive function. The MIND diet recommends eating berries at least twice a week. Beans If beans aren't a regular part of your diet, they should be. High in fiber and protein, and low in calories and fat, they also help keep your mind sharp as part of the MIND diet. The researchers recommend eating beans three times a week to help reduce the risk of Alzheimer's. Whole grains Whole grains are a key component of the MIND diet. It recommends at least three servings a day. Fish The MIND diet study found eating fish at least once a week helps protect brain function. However, there's no need to go overboard; unlike the Mediterranean diet, which recommends eating fish almost every day, the MIND diet says once a week is enough. Poultry Poultry is another part of a brain-healthy eating plan, according to the MIND diet. It recommends two or more servings a week. Olive oil Olive oil beat out other forms of cooking oil and fats in the MIND diet. The researchers found people who used olive oil as their primary oil at home saw greater protection against cognitive decline. Wine Raise a toast to the MIND diet: it recommends a glass of wine every day. Just one, though. Wine rounds out the list of of 10 "brain healthy" food groups that help protect against Alzheimer's: green leafy vegetables, other vegetables, nuts, berries, beans, whole grains, fish, poultry, olive oil and wine.
