Thanks for watching, subscribe for more videos: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCzURZooob2rF_a_1cONbUIg?sub_confirmation=1 Dame Barbara Windsor's heartbroken husband Scott Mitchell has revealed the TV icon can't remember they're married. It comes after Scott, who has been with Barbara for 25 years, opened up for the first time about the EastEnders star's four year battle with Alzheimer's disease. “She suddenly has no recollection of our history," he said. “She’ll look at her wedding ring and say, ‘Are we married?’ But that’s the thing about this cruel disease, isn’t it?” Scott, 55, explained that daily medication had kept some symptoms at bay, but after a detoriation in recent weeks, Scott felt the need to speak out and make her condition public. “She’s not frightened of me, so I’m thankful for that. Over the last couple of days, the conversation has turned to, ‘I just think it’s wonderful that you come here to look after me’ — and she keeps thanking me." Scott, who has been married to Barbara since 2000, added to The Sun: “I say, ‘Barbara I’m not here to look after you, I’m here because I love you’.” He said he shows her photographs of them together over the years to remind her of their past together. “She said to me the other day, ‘It’s not fair, because you’re a young man and you shouldn’t have to look after me. You should have a girlfriend and enjoy your life’.” Scott replied to his wife: "That's not how it works, Bar". The 55-year-old, who met Babs when she was 55 and he was just 30, also bought a white board to write on each day. He writes what day it is as well as milestones from their marriage. He said since then they have cut back on what they do in public, but he still tries to make plans for them so the actress can be out of the house and around people. If he can get her out and around friends, people will see flashes "of the old Barbara," he shared. "You hear that famous laugh bellowing out - wonderful.” Following her deterioration, Scott revealed he can no longer leave her at home on her own. Earlier this month he had to leave to go to the bank, but within minutes he had received voicemails from worried friends who said the actres had called them confused and asked how long he had lived in their home. Scott said he will always take advice from professionals, but for as long as is "humanly possible", he will care for his wife in their home. Thanks for watching, subscribe for more videos. Liverpool have a chance to make a Champions League final for the first time since 2007. After a superb 5-2 semi-final first leg win over Roma, Jurgen Klopp's side must now finish the job in Italy. While the odds are stacked in the Reds' favour, the Serie A side have shown they're more than capable of producing comebacks after sensationally beating Barcelona in the previous round. To add to Liverpool's list of potential concerns, Roma have yet to concede a goal at home in the Champions League this season. Liverpool trained in Roma's stadium, the Stadio Olimpico, on Tuesday evening ahead of the fixture, here are six things we noticed. Read More Mohamed Salah receives hero's welcome as Liverpool stars arrive in Rome ahead of Champions League semi-final second leg All by myself... Jurgen Klopp will take charge of his first game without Zeljko Buvac after Liverpool's assistant manager temporarily left his role due to personal reasons. Buvac had been at Klopp's side for 17 years but after reports of a dispute the pair are now seperated. The Reds boss will have to put all that to one side and focus on the job at hand on Tuesday night. Filling Buvac's void Another needing to focus on the task at hand is Peter Krawietz, Liverpool's number three. With Buvac absent, 'The Eye' - as Klopp calls him - will need to fill the void left by his former colleague. What a game to start. This is it, fellas Liverpool have arrived in Rome, they're in the Stadio Olimpico and they're just 24 hours away from playing the second leg. This is it. Klopp is snapped giving his men a speech prior to training, probably to calm a few nerves. A hero returns Less than a year after leaving Roma, Salah has returned. The Egyptian spent two seasons at Roma, scoring 34 goals in 83 appearances, before sealing a £37million move to Anfield. Can he follow up his two goals in the first leg? No smiles round here After seeing what Roma did to Barcelona in the previous round Liverpool know they can't afford to be complacent. Roberto Firmino, Virgil van Dijk and cut serious figures during the training session. Fans can expect a professional performance on Wednesday. "Don't worry, I'll assist you" James Milner broke the Champions League record last week for most assists in a single campaign, eclipsing Wayne Rooney's tally from the 2013/14 season. The 32-year-old will no doubt be looking to extend his record and help lead Liverpool into the final. poll loading Will Liverpool reach the Champions League final? 9000+ VOTES SO FAR YES NO

Thanks for watching, subscribe for more videos: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCzURZooob2rF_a_1cONbUIg?sub_confirmation=1 Loris Karius has received support from an unlikely source following his Champions League nightmare. The Liverpool stopper was at fault for two of Real Madrid's goals as his side were beaten 3-1 in Kiev. Real opened the scoring after Karius' attempted throw rebounded off Karim Benzema and rolled into the net before the German dropped Gareth Bale's long-range effort to cap a miserable night. He has apologised to his teammates and fans for the errors and has received plenty of criticism on social media. But former porn star has shown the 24-year-old some support with an Instagram message. Read More 7 goalkeepers Liverpool could sign this summer Karius had initially posted a picture ahead of the final in Kiev, with the caption: "Eyes on the prize". He was mocked by sports website Bench Warmers after the two mistakes, who joked: "Probably should of kept his eyes on the ball instead..." But Khalifa, 25, sent a flirty message of support as she commented on the post: "Is he the prize? Because...." Khalifa, who shot to fame after her short spell as a porn star, spent two months as a co-host on sports talk show Out of Bounds . During her time on the show, Khalifa took aim at NFL ace AJ Green while she also branded women's wrestling "embarrassing". Her opinions landed her in hot water with WWE star Eva Marie who hit back at the former porn star. After his mistakes, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp said: "What can I say? Loris knows it, everybody knows it. It's a shame in a game like this and after a season like this. I really feel for him; he's a fantastic boy "Nobody wants that, [but] that's the situation. The mistakes were obvious, we don't have to talk about that, it's all clear; he knows it, I know it, you all know it. "Now, he has to deal with it, we have to deal with, we will do that, of course, we will be with him, there's no doubt about that. It was not his night, obviously." #Porn, #star, #Khalifa, #consolesLorisKarius, #afterChampionsLeague, #howlers #LorisKariusMiaKhalifaChampionsLeagueLiverpoolFC

Sir Ken Dodd's final wish was to wed his long-term love

12:05
Sir Ken Dodd married the love of his life just two days before his death on Sunday at the age of 90. The legendary entertainer wed long-term partner Anne Jones last Friday, two weeks after returning home from hospital, where he was treated for a chest infection. Making his vows from his sick bed at his beloved home in Knotty Ash, Liverpool, he got his final wish that she should have the title Lady Anne. Robert Holmes, the star’s close friend and publicist of 47 years, said: “Ken wanted to make her Lady Anne at last, before he left her. "When Ken came out of hospital he was still very frail and I think he knew he was going, despite all the typically upbeat talk about getting back on stage. “When they got home to Knotty Ash he asked Anne to marry him. They’d talked about it before, obviously – they’d been engaged for 40 years! “But she was still surprised, although she said ‘yes’ immediately.” . Mr Holmes said: “Ken was in bed, too frail to get up, but he spoke beautifully to say his vows and he even had a glass of champagne – a tickle tonic. “Anne said she was so very proud of him because he was terribly poorly.” . Mr Holmes said: “He slipped away with Anne at his bedside, as she has been throughout his illness – and just as she’s been at his side for more than 40 years. “To my mind, he was one of the last music hall greats. With Ken gone, the lights have been turned out in the world of variety. He was a comedy legend and a genius.” Former Bluebell Girl Lady Anne, who is in her 70s, spoke outside their home yesterday, saying: “I have lost a most wonderful husband. “We first met when I was in the Ken Dodd Christmas Show in 1961 at the Manchester Opera House. “I’ve had the supreme joy and privilege of working and living with him as a partner for the past 40 years. “The world has lost a life-enhancing, brilliant, creative comedian with an operatically trained voice, who just wanted to make people happy. “He lived to perfect his art and entertain his adoring audiences. Conte reveals what he said to Messi after Barcelona beat Chelsea

05:25
Lionel Messi was lauded by Antonio Conte after punishing Chelsea's mistakes to send Barcelona through to the Champions League quarter-finals. Conte took the opportunity to compliment Messi in person after the Argentina playmaker scored twice and made another for Ousmane Dembele in a 3-0 win which secured a 4-1 aggregate success for Barca. "When you have the opportunity to make a great compliment to Messi at the end of the game, I think it's right," Conte said. "We are talking about an extraordinary player, the best in the world. I think we are talking about the player that can move the final result for every team that he's playing for. This type of player, (there is) one player born in 50 years." After eight appearances without a goal against Chelsea, Messi settled this tie by scoring the equaliser in last month's first leg before an influential performance here. Messi struck after 126 seconds, netting through the legs of the hapless Thibaut Courtois, and struck his 100th Champions League goal, again through the Chelsea goalkeeper's legs. He also tackled Cesc Fabregas in teeing-up Dembele's sumptuous strike. Courtois admitted being at fault, telling BT Sport: "I didn't expect Messi to shoot from there and I was too late to close my legs so that was a mistake on my part. "It's not nice to start an evening like that. It's my weakest point between my legs. It was unlucky on our side, but I think mostly it was our individual mistakes that cost us." Conte described the start as "terrible", but was pleased with the response. Chelsea hit the woodwork four times across the tie. Marcos Alonso hit the outside of the post with a free-kick and Antonio Rudiger the crossbar with a header here. Conte also complimented his players, while feeling aggrieved his side were not awarded a penalty for a Gerard Pique challenge on Alonso when 2-0 down. We have to continue this in this way, with this will to fight, with this desire to play together." With Chelsea adrift of the Champions League qualification places in the Premier League, defeat to Leicester in Sunday's FA Cup quarter-final and then to Tottenham on April 1 could result in a premature departure for Conte, whose position has been the subject of speculation all season. Alfie Evans' parents lose last hope with Supreme Court blow in life support bid

04:50
The parents of 22-month-old Alfie Evans, who has been at the centre of a life support treatment battle, have failed to persuade Supreme Court justices to analyse the case. Tom Evans and Kate James made the last-ditch legal challenge following a Court of Appeal ruling decided that Alder Hey Children's Hospital could switch off his ventilator. Medics have claimed that continuing to treat the toddler is futile. Having lost the appeal, their last chance is to go to the European Court of Human Rights. But Tom slammed doctors for handing his son a "death penalty" and said Alfie should not have to "walk down death row". He wants to take the brain-damaged toddler, who suffers from a neurological brain condition, to Germany or Italy to do diagnosis tests. Video Loading Video Unavailable Click to play Tap to play The video will start in 8Cancel Play now Speaking on This Morning, Tom said: "No one should have a timescale on their head by a doctor. No one should have a death penalty hanging over them and walk down death row at 22 months. "Me and ]his] mum will do anything for Alfie, especially seeing how healthy and fit he is. At the moment Alfie is not presenting a dying or terminally ill child. "We've been at his bedside every day for 14 months - more than anyone in that hospital. We know we're doing right and there's a line and we haven’t crossed that line yet. We love Alfie." A High Court judge ruled that doctors can stop treating Alfie against the wishes of his parents, and three Court of Appeal judges have upheld that decision. Alfie's parents, who come from Liverpool, wanted to stage a fight at the Supreme Court in London. Video Loading Video Unavailable Click to play Tap to play The video will start in 8Cancel Play now But Supreme Court justices have decided that the case is not worth arguing and have refused to give the couple "permission" to mount a further appeal. Alder Hey Children's Hospital have argued is "unkind, unfair and inhumane" to continue Alfie's treatment. Alfie suffers from a neurological condition that doctors can't diagnose and Tom revealed he wants to take him abroad for diagnosis. He said: "I just want to be able to take him to Italy or Germany. We want to be able to do the diagnosis test and stop his epileptic seizures. "We believe once they are stopped he will wake up. We have the right to take him there."

See eerie paranormal activity inside WWII plane 'haunted by female co-pilot'

A fitness coach claims to have captured paranormal activity on camera inside a WWII plane believed to be haunted by the ghost of the female co-pilot. Tony Ferguson left ‘freaked out’ after he claims a poltergeist threw his camera across the cabin of the plane before the spirit appeared as a white ‘angel’s feather’. In the first of two spine-tingling videos, the 33-year-old asks whatever is haunting the former military seaplane to make itself known before a series of loud bangs echo through the empty cabin. When he asked again for the entity to show itself, Tony’s camera – which had also been experiencing interference often associated with paranormal activity – was hurled to the ground. Entering the eerie aircraft again, Tony called out for the entity but this time captured amazing footage of what looks like a white feather appear out of nowhere and float across the cabin before vanishing again. Tony, of Southampton, Hants, said: “I first visited the museum at the end of last year. As soon as I went into the plane I felt this pressure on my whole body and I had this horrible feeling of dread. “I started filming and my camera kept going whacky. I had been filming earlier in the day without any problems and it’s been fine ever since. “That kind of equipment interference is associated with paranormal activity and bad energy but I had never seen anything like it before – only in horror films. “I knew there was something in there and I asked it to make itself known and suddenly there was this loud banging. It really freaked me out. “I asked it again and my camera suddenly flew across the cabin onto the floor like something threw it. Mhkitaryan subsequently moved to Arsenal in a swap deal with Alexis Sanchez switching to Old Trafford, while Pogba remained at the Red Devils, where he has been at loggerheads with Jose Mourinho. “Finally, the people discover my secrets, I’m a bad guy, I’m a coward,” said Guardiola sarcastically ahead of Saturday's Manchester Derby. “I don’t understand why I am such a bad guy. Danniella Westbrook reveals her 'rotting face hell' after years of drugs

10:13
Daniella Westbrook has revealed that her bones are “rotting away” in her face after years of drug abuse and botched surgery. The former EastEnders star’s left cheekbone is “wasting” away and she’s been left with screws instead of teeth that cut her tongue as she speaks. Her Frankenstein-style botched surgery means that some days the 44 year old wakes up and the left side of her face is completely “sunken”. Other days her cheek swells up in agony as her bones are “decaying” and “weakened”. “I just don’t look like myself any more,” Danniella tells Mirror Online in an exclusive chat. “Obviously I’m going to age a lot faster anyway because of the drugs but I didn’t need this as well.” The former cocaine addict is currently in recovery from the drug that made her septum fall out in 2000. She claims it’s the botched surgery she had while on a TV show in November 2015 that left her with osteoporosis. The condition is slowly weakening the bones in her face and causing her left shoulder to “disintegrate”. She has no left cheekbone and no gums on the top of her mouth. She wears a whole denture but it’s just sitting on the roof of her mouth. “They need to take a piece of bone out of my skull and put a plate into my face but they’ve got nothing to stick the plate on at the minute because the bones not strong enough,” she explains. She’s currently “drinking 12 pints of milk a day” to strengthen her bones in preparation for reconstructive surgery. “I’ve got to laugh or I’ll cry but it makes me so unhappy,” she reasons. “The thing that makes me most unhappy is everyone goes, ‘It’s coke’. I’m like, ‘Listen if it was coke, I’d be like yeah it’s coke’. But this is not my fault, it’s down to the TV show that I’ve got bad teeth.” The pain was so bad in January 2016 that she had to have emergency treatment while on Celebrity Big Brother. “The bone hadn’t closed around the screws so they took me out of the house three times to a dentist which they’re not meant to because the pain was so bad,” she says. And it left her so dangerously ill with septicaemia that she almost died while staying in hospital for seven weeks. “The blood got into where the bone was, if it weren’t for the Royal London I’d probably be dead,” she says. “I did nearly die, I had two lots of IV drips in each side and then they took all my teeth out again and gave me this denture which has broken my heart because I didn’t need all of my teeth out in the first place.” Danniella has been left with crippling anxiety about her looks that leaves her scratching her arms compulsively until they bleed. “It has really affected my whole life I couldn’t work the year I came out of Big Brother I couldn’t work at all, it makes me nervous and I’m scratching I get really bad anxiety,” she says. “Some days I wake up and I’m so swollen and other days it can look really sunken.” She was left needing a facelift to tighten her skin where her bones rotted away. Albert Pierrepoint hanged Ruth Ellis but she was just one of more than 400

14:45
At 8am Ruth Ellis ate her final breakfast of scrambled egg. But even on that last day she wasn't allowed the dignity of eating with proper cutlery or plates for fear she might use the crockery as a weapon. The breakfast tray was taken away and then the deputy governor came in with the chaplain and they sat at each end of a table. At Ellis' back was a green screen running the width of the prison cell behind which was a door. Ellis, who had been sentenced to die for shooting her lover, removed her blue diamanté glasses – worn because she was short-sighted - and passed them to the deputy governor. She told him coolly: “I won't need these any more. Thank you." Behind her a door opened, then more footsteps and another door opened and then the cell door opened the screen drew back. Ruth Ellis was last woman in Britain to be hanged - but did she have an accomplice and was the lover she killed beating her up? At the sound Ellis jumped out of her chair knocking it over but stood there now was executioner Albert Pierrepoint – the calm voice of experience. He said to her, “It's all right, lass. It's all right.” Picking up the chair he told her to sit down again, adding: “Put your arms behind the chair'." He then flicked his hand and a rope s onto her wrist and within seconds she was tied with her hands behind her back. Swiftly he walked her the dozen or so steps to the gallows and there was no time for final words. Earlier – as was always the case – Pierrepoint had used his subject's weight, height, gender, and build, a precise mathematical formula and his own immense experience, to set the drop at 8 feet, 2 inches. With Ellis carefully positioned on the exact centre of the the trapdoor, she was hooded and a noose placed around her neck while assistant executioner Royston Rickard crouched behind her and strapped her legs together. As both men cleared the trapdoors Pierrepoint pushed the lever. Ruth Ellis was dead. It had taken just 12 seconds and illustrated perfectly why Pierrepoint was so highly regard as a hangman that when he resigned a year later the Home Secretary wrote to him asking him to reconsider. Between 1934 and 1956, he executed more than 400 men and women, among them Ellis, the last woman to be hanged in Britain, Gordon Cummins, the "Blackout Ripper", John George Haigh, the acid bath murderer. He also dispatched Derek Bentley for his part in the “let him have it” murder of a policeman, Bruno Tesch, co-inventor of the insecticide Zyklon B used in the Holocaust and Lord Haw-Haw – real name William Joyce who was the voice of the “German Calling” propaganda broadcasts during the Second World War. Pierrepoint also put to death Timothy Evans, wrongly convicted of murdering his daughter, and subsequently Rillington Place monster John Christie, the real killer. He hanged large numbers of Nazi war criminals convicted at the Nuremberg trials, including Josef Kramer, the Beast of Belsen. Today more than 50 years since the last execution

Klopp and his squad arrived in Marbella on Wednesday afternoon, and they didn't waste any time before getting on the bikes and out on the training pitch as the manager put them through their paces. Here's what we spotted from day one in the sun. 1. A spot of trophy lifting practice, Dejan? Now the European Cup weighs a not inconsiderable 11kg, and so it might pay to prepare yourself for lifting it should the opportunity arise. That seemed to be exactly what Dejan Lovren was doing in Marbella anyway, as the defender hoisted a training aid to the skies and no doubt imagined what it would feel like to hold that trophy aloft and into the Kiev night. Actualise, Dejan. Actualise. 2. Virgil van Dijk on a bike... but without a helmet Now Virgil van Dijk isn't scared of anything, his five months at Liverpool have proven that. And it seems as though we can now add bike safety to a list of things that don't frighten the Dutchman, as he was seen leading the squad on a bike tour of the local area without a helmet on. Now the very cool Van Dijk is a man to be admired and emulated in pretty much every facet of his life, but we can't have this one. Safety first, Virgil. You've got a big game soon. 3. Trent's all smiles Last weekend you helped your boyhood team achieve qualification for next season's Champions League. A couple of weeks ago you were in that team as you got into this season's final. This morning you woke up and made your way to the airport to head to Marbella. And then in the afternoon you got named in the England squad for the World Cup. You'd be smiling too, wouldn't you? 4. Milner steps it up in the sun Having been ruled out of Liverpool's final Premier League game of the season at home to Brighton, there were a few concerns about James Milner's fitness looking ahead to the Champions League final, but he looked in good nick on day one in Marbella. “James is in the group and will be back in training later," Klopp told the Liverpool website . "I think on Saturday or so we will see, or maybe Friday." Seems positive to us. 5. Golden sunshine for the Golden Boot winner Mo Salah looked in fine spirits in Marbella because, well, he's Mo Salah isn't he? Fresh from a weekend of picking up yet more personal awards, the Egyptian stands on the brink of lifting the one team accolade that he'll be truly remembered for at Anfield. If he can win the final for them in Kiev, it would surely beat all the personal gongs he could ever pick up. He might even get some of them named after him. 6. What's so funny, Alberto? Much has been made of the shortcomings of Liverpool's squad despit #things, #spotted, #from, #Liverpool, #ChampionsLeague, #final, #camp, #Marbella #LiverpoolFCUEFAChampionsLeagueFinalDejanLovrenMohamedSalahJurgenKlopp

Instagram star dies in horror motorcycle crash as family suffer third tragedy

08:21
An Instagram star's family have suffered a heartbreaking triple tragedy after she died in a horror motorcycle crash on a favourite stretch of motorway. Motorcycle enthusiast Annette Carrion, 33, was killed after her father Fernando and mother Sofia died just four months apart. Annette had gained a huge fan base on Instagram where she posted modelling photos for her 146,000 followers and promoted a motorcycle group for women she had co-founded. One of her last posts was a tribute to her 81-year-old father just four days before her motorcycle went off a picturesque and curvy motorway in California. An online obituary stated: "Annette was greeted at heaven's gate by her parents Fernando and Sofia (Anguiano) Carrion who preceded her in death." Read More British boy, 9, dies in freak accident after 'colliding with another child' while playing football on Spanish beach Annette's mother Sofia, 58, died on November 24 - one day after Thanksgiving - after she battled pancreatic and colorectal cancer. In her tribute to her father, who died on March 19, Annette told how her father's heart was broken following his wife's death. She wrote on Instagram: "After my mom passed away four months ago, I could see that my dad’s heart was shattered. He was so depressed after his wife of thirty-five years was no longer there to keep him company. "His health had been declining for a while, but I think he pushed through and held on until my mother passed. Last week, he was finally able to reunite with her." She added: "My dad passed away at eighty-one years old on Monday, March 19th. He and my mom are together again." Annette was killed when her 2015 Triumph motorcycle went off the side of the Ortega Highway in Lake Elisinore, south-west of Los Angeles, on Saturday, two days after her late mother would have turned 59. It was one of her favourite stretches of road. Just weeks earlier, Annette, from Irvine, had posted a YouTube video in which she tearfully paid tribute to her mother and revealed the tattoo she got in memory of her. She told how her mother, a Jehovah's Witness, was diagnosed with pancreatic and colorectal cancer a couple of years ago, and refused certain treatments due to her beliefs. In the video, Annette showed off a tattoo of a pair of scissors on one of her fingers. She got the tattoo to celebrate her mother, who worked as a hairdresser. Annette said in the video: "I’ve never had anyone close to me pass away so it’s been really difficult to deal with. "I started to think about all the times that she won’t be there for me in the future. "She won’t be there when I get married, she won’t be there when i have kids, and it really does hurt my heart." Annette had co-founded a motorcycling group called the Redline Ravens and used social media to encourage women to ride. Her boyfriend Jimmy Busak, a fellow motorcycle rider, paid tribute to her on Instagram, writing: "Two and a half years ago, this beautiful angel entered my life, and instantly

Man 'shoots girlfriend dead' on Facebook Live, saying 'I'll make you famous'

04:05
A terrified woman was shot dead by her boyfriend as she made a desperate plea to family and friends on Facebook Live, police said. Rannita Williams, 27, was gunned down by Johnathan Robinson during the chilling broadcast on Thursday. Robinson, 36, was heard saying "You wanna be famous? I'm gonna make you famous," before opening fire on the mum-of-three. Williams, known affectionately as 'Nunu', was taken to hospital but later died of her injuries. Nunu began the horrifying livestream shortly before 11am on Thursday morning. A man, identified as her partner Robinson, can be seen in the background, pacing back and forth while muttering about "making people famous". The man orders Nunu to apologise, to which she addresses the camera and says: "Hey y'all, this is Nunu,...I didn't have any business doing all that. My page been blocked." Robinson is heard shouting: "Everybody wanna be famous, let's be famous today" before allegedly opening fire on police officers, who had surrounded the house in Shreveport, Louisiana. The petrified young woman screams "Stop Johnathan" before the phone falls to the floor. The shadow of a rifle is seen on the ceiling before four more gunshots are heard. The man is heard to say: "Now b****, game over. Game over b****." Suspect Robinson barricaded himself inside the property, in the Caddo Heights neighbourhood, before surrendering, police said. Nunu and a police officer were shot during the incident. The young mother was taken to University Health Hospital with life-threatening injuries. Sadly, she passed away a short time later. Robinson was arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder and possession of a firearm. Aunt Sharon Brown spoke of the family's shock as she paid tribute to her niece. She told KTBS: "NuNu was my baby, she's so sweet she loves her kids. She just came from Vegas from New York with her oldest daughter. "So, she loved her kids and her kids, when they find out that’s the hardest part of the whole thing. When the kids find out."

'Dodgy plots and plummeting ratings - here's what's gone wrong at Eastenders'

13:57
EastEnders is known for the “duff duff” drumroll that follows its shock endings. It’s all that was missing when the Bafta TV Awards nominations came out yesterday – and the BBC soap was not there on the list. Corrie, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Casualty will battle it out in the soap and continuing drama category, as Enders failed to get a nod for the first time since 2005. EastEnders has been the most frequent winner, taking the title eight times since 1999, when the category was first awarded. So is the Bafta snub a sign that the show has lost the plot? Here, we look at what’s gone wrong and how EastEnders can save itself... Bad storylines Of all the news stories I’ve ever read about EastEnders, this one struck me as particularly unbelievable. In November last year it was alleged that a temporary worker on the BBC soap had offered to leak storylines in return for a payment of £4,000. Yeah, right. As if anyone would pay that much! The storylines have been a load of old pony for almost two years now. Read More EastEnders seemingly reveals Michelle Fowler's exit storyline - and fans are convinced it's another underage plot I don’t just mean bizarre filler such as old man Ted teaching teenager Bernadette Taylor how to play chess or Magic Marv the sleazy children’s entertainer suddenly showing up at the Vic and taking centre stage. I’m talking the big storylines such as the New Year’s heist, which never really recovered from the bizarre decision to film it in broad daylight. Truth is there was little about this storyline that was convincing – from cartoon villain mastermind Aidan Maguire to the unlikely involvement of Queen Vic landlord Mick Carter. However, if you want a truly graphic representation of the year EastEnders has had, I give you the Carter family sitting in their kitchen with the floor covered in old copies of the Walford Gazette. Without wishing to put you off your breakfast, I must inform you they were waiting for nature to take its course after their bulldog Lady Di swallowed a wedding ring. Read More 'I'm not worried about being a mid-40s mum': Actress Martine McCutcheon says it's Perfect Moment for another child Character assassinations Soap characters being recast happens all the time. But EastEnders really pushed its luck with the reintroduction of Michelle Fowler. Not only did Jenna Russell look absolutely nothing like Susan Tully, Michelle had also had a personality transplant – one which appeared specifically designed to annoy as many fans as possible. Jenna did her best but many fans could not see past the physical difference. It didn’t help that Michelle’s comeback storyline – she’d been having an affair with a teenage college student in America – was greeted with a mixture of disbelief and disgust by some fans. At least Michelle had a back story. Lately there have been too many new characters popping up in Albert Square who look like they’ve just been shoved in out of nowhere at the last minute to help

Thanks for watching, subscribe for more videos: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCzURZooob2rF_a_1cONbUIg?sub_confirmation=1 Author and journalist Tom Wolfe has died. Famous for his psychedelic novel Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test the author will be remembered for his literary flair, his agent said today. Lynn Nesbit confirmed the pioneer of journalism died from an infection in a Manhattan hospital on Monday. Mr Wolfe, beginning in the 1960s, helped create the enormously influential hybrid known as the New Journalism. Between 1965 to 1981 he wrote nine nonfiction books, including Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test and Bonfire of the Vanities. The father of two, who had a knack for coining phrases such as "radical chic" and "the me decade," was originally from Virginia and during his early career worked for the Washington Post and New York Herald Tribune. He later wrote a letter to his editors at Esquire magazine about his difficulty approaching a piece on car culture - one, Byron Dobell, simply took the "dear" off the top and published the piece. It later became his first novel, That Kandy-Kolored Tangerine-Flake Streamline Baby. Wolfe went on to write four lengthy novels as well as many short stories, dramatic works, and novellas. The New York Times described the author as being as "well known for his attire as his satire" as he would be a well known sight strolling down Madison Avenue in "spotless three-piece vanilla bespoke suit, pinstriped silk shirt with a starched white high collar, bright handkerchief peeking from his breast pocket, watch on a fob, faux spats and white shoes. Once asked to describe his get-up, Mr. Wolfe replied brightly, “Neo-pretentious.” William F. Buckley, Jr described him as: “He is probably the most skillful writer in America — I mean by that he can do more things with words than anyone else.” Wolfe lived in New York City with his wife Sheila, who designs covers for Harper's Magazine. They had two children: a daughter, Alexandra, and a son, Tommy. #Author, #Wolfe, #died, #aged #TomWolfeHospitals

A €70m deal, which would include bonuses, has reportedly been agreed between Liverpool and Lyon chiefs. It is even claimed that the deal was smoothed over by former Anfield chief Gerard Houllier, who is an advisor to OL president Jean-Michel Aulas. But RMC Sport say that Yassin will also come and join Liverpool's Under-23 squad, as a sweetener to Fekir. However, manager Jurgen Klopp has poured water on the speculation as the Reds prepare to splash the rest of the £142m acquired from Barcelona in the Philippe Coutinho sale in January. Klopp responded: "During the game, we agreed a deal?! I would be surprised about that to be honest. No comment." Liverpool boost as Ronaldo doubt for Champions League final Zinedine Zidane says that Cristiano Ronaldo is concerned about his fitness ahead of the the Champions League final. The Real Madrid forward picked up a minor ankle strain during the first half of a feisty El Clasico clash with Barcelona on Sunday night. Ronaldo first picked up a slight knock when he dived in to level the game at 1-1 just 15 minutes into the game. He never appeared to look right following the goal and was subsequently taken off as a precaution at the break, replaced by Marco Asensio. Following the game, Zidane says that the problem is not a major one - but it does leave question marks over his condition with the trip to Kiev to face Liverpool just two weeks away. The boss said: "Ronaldo said it was something minor. We will look tomorrow and see what damage has been done, he is a little bit worried (about Kiev) but says it's something minor. "Right now it's not good but I think it's minor. It's just the movement, tomorrow we'll see. He said it's minor. "Champions League? We're going to do everything to make it." The popular 35-year-old is set to leave Napoli at the end of the season - even if they claim the title. He was set to join AC Milan, but now Spanish sources Marca believe the move could be hijacked - by Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool. And a return to Anfield would be a big draw for Reina, who really enjoyed his first spell at the club. Liverpool will look to ditch second choice keeper Simon Mignolet in the summer, and there are still doubts over current incumbent Loris Karius. Thanks for watching, subscribe for more videos: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCzURZooob2rF_a_1cONbUIg?sub_confirmation=1 The ex-wife of an evil French serial killer has revealed they killed a young British student and dumped her body in a river. At the age of 70, Monique Oliver has finally admitted that her former partner Michel Fourniret - known as he 'Ogre of the Ardennes' - raped and killed 20-year-old Joanna Parrish in 1990. At a closed court preliminary hearing she reportedly said she left the van in which they picked up the student because she did not want to witness the horrific ordeal. The hearing saw judges grill the pensioner for more details about the crime against the Gloucestershire student. Read More British Breaking Bad fan found murdered in New Mexico desert planned to start own empire cooking drugs It comes ten years after a trial saw the pair - often compared to Moors murderers Ian Brady and Myra Hindley - jailed to life behind bars. Olivier first met Fourniret as a prison warder, but later divorced him after she revealed to a prosecutor in 2005 that he had killed Joanna. She later retracted her confession and claimed interrogators had beaten her and forced her to confess, Mail Online reports. The parents of murder victim Joanna, Roger Parrish and Pauline Sewell, have campaigned for justice for 28 years. They suspected Fourniret of killing their daughter since the early 2000s. In February, Fourniret finally confessed to killing the 20-year-old Gloucestershire student. He told judges: "If she had not met me she would still be alive today." He could face trial for the murder next year. Joanna's parents are confident that his "repeated confessions" to judges in February will be enough to see him convicted. Fourniret was jailed for life in 2008 for seven murders of teenage girls in France and Belgium. Olivier was also given a life sentence for complicity in four of the killings. Joanna, who was from Newnham on Severn, in Gloucestershire, was studying French and Spanish at Leeds. But they were horrified by the state of the investigation from the moment they arrived. Police, journalists and local officials were allowed to contaminate the crime scene so detectives were left with few clues. Vital DNA evidence was lost, files went missing and leads were not followed up properly, they alleged. Their son Barney Parrish, who was 17 when Joanna was murdered, has launched a social media campaign to garner support for their efforts to get justice for Jo. What Man United fans are saying about Pogba's performance vs West Brom

01:57
Paul Pogba put in a man of the match performance as Manchester United turned around a 2-0 deficit at the Etihad to beat rivals Manchester City 3-2 last week. He was exactly what the Red Devils fans would expect from an £89million player; capable of grabbing a game by the scruff of its neck, and worth every penny of his record-breaking transfer fee. The Gunners' best-paid player hasn't featured for the club in the Premier League in over a month, meaning he hasn't been present for their past five fixtures. Regretting your phone contract is a bit like marrying the wrong person. After all, you're usually stuck with them for the next two years. Jesse Lingard hands Three Lions slender victory - 5 talking points

07:17
Jesse Lingard struck a decisive second half goal to give England a welcome victory over Holland in Amsterdam last night . After goalless draws in their previous two friendlies against Brazil and Holland Three Lions boss Southgate was desperate for a goal – and a victory – as his men countdown to the World Cup in Russia this summer. And Manchester United midfielder Lingard delivered just the tonic Southgate needed with a 59th minute low strike past Dutch keeper Jeroen Zoet to break the deadlock – and England's barren recent run. It was Lingard's first goal for his country as England struggled to fill the void left by injured Tottenham striker Harry kane. Southgate gave his players asthma tests in the lead up to this clash with Ronald Koeman's Dutch stars – and England huffed and puffed until Lingard struck. They were never seriously troubled by a Dutch side who have failed to qualify for the last two major tournaments with England looking solid at the back. Here are 5 talking points from Amsterdam... 1. Gareth Southgate discovered even the best laid plans count for nothing in football as his Amsterdam defensive experiment had to be ripped up just moments in to the game. Kop star Joe Gomez, left side of a back three with Kyle Walker right and John Stones centre, fell awkwardly on his ankle minutes after kick off. And although the Liverpool youngster wanted to go back on he was overruled with Leicster's Harry Maguire taking his place. After Jack Wilshere's withdrawal just before England travelled it meant Southgate had to think on his feet – a valuable lesson for Russia this summer. 2. England had plenty of possession in a first half of patient probing – but without Harry Kane the Three Lions didn't carry much attacking threat and lacked a cutting edge. And that'll be a worry for Southgate if Kane – currently recovering from an ankle injury – picks up a knock during the World Cup. Kane didn't play against either Brazil or Germany in November – and England failed to score in both games. With few goals coming from midfield it's vital the Tottenham striker finds fitness and form by the time Southgate's stars board the plane to St Petersburg. 3. Jesse Lingard's gained the trust of club boss Jose Mourinho – and it's clear Gareth Sourthgate is warming to him as well. If England are going to exceed expectations at the World Cup they'll need a lock-picker in Russia. At the moment the best two options seem to be Dele Alli and Adam Lallana once he's fully fit. In the Amsterdam Arena Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain didn't convincingly grab his chance to shine in a central position but Lingard did his credibility no harm with the break-through goal in Amsterdam. Lingard's scored some big goals for United and he's having a more than decent season at Old Trafford with 13 goals so far this campaign. And his first goal for his country couldn't have come at a better time for Southgate. 4. John Stones has been having a tough time making his presence felt at Manche

Horse Saint Are 'back in stables' after tent erected on Aintree course

03:30
Viewers were shocked after a tent was erected on the Aintree course as the Grand National was in full flow. Many thought horse Saint Are was fatally injured as a jockey waved other competitors past the scene - but despite a green screen he is currently being looked at by vets. Only 12 horses finished the race - which was won by Tiger Roll. Since the year 2000, only 11 horses have died in the Grand National. Seven died between 2000 and 2010, and four between 2010 and 2017. Saint Are - a 12-year-old Bay Gelding - was ridden by AP Husking but fell over Alpha Des Obeaux ridden by Rachael Blackmore at the infamous Chair fence on the course. After the race a Grand National account tweeted: "37 of the 38 horses have returned to the stables after the race "Saint Are remains on the track and is being seen to by medical staff. Let's hope he pulls through" They later tweeted he was backed in the stables. The Racing Post then said: "Saint Are has been taken for further veterinary assessment in the racecourse stables after the Grand National. "All other runners reported to be fine after the race. Charlie Deutsch, who rode Houblon Des Obeaux, is being assessed by medics. All other jockeys returned fine." Ahorse was put down at Aintree, after falling in the Randox Heath Foxhunters Chase on the first day. Lilbitluso was put down after he was injured following a fall in the race. A statement from Aintree said: "While racing in the Randox Foxhunter's Chase at Aintree, Lilbitluso fell and was quickly attended to by our expert veterinary professionals. "Sadly the nature of the injury meant it was necessary to put him down humanely on welfare grounds. "Our sympathies are very much with his owners and the team who cared for him on a daily basis." There were five fallers in the races, with two horses unseating their riders. The last two deaths in the actual Grand National came in 2012, when According To Pete broke his upper leg, and Synchronised also broke a limb.

From toys to human faeces, business boss reveals gruesome hoarding cases

08:05
From mountains of milk bottles to hundreds of cans of spaghetti hoops, a cleaning business boss has revealed some of the worst cases of hoarding he has seen. George Mensah, who owns The Merseyside House Clearance company, spends his working days trawling through piles weird and wonderful items collected at people's homes. The cleaner has the ambitious task of clearing out properties that are overflowing with human waste and clutter, Liverpool Echo reports. Jars of human faeces, bottles of urine dead cats are just a few of the gruesome discoveries George has made over the past eight years. Read More Inside hoarders' homes filled with piles of old rubbish as council launches new service to help mentally ill He said: "Where do I start? We have found jars of human faeces, bottles of urine, a huge amount of custom-made toys - in one house the owner was a porn hoarder and the basement was absolutely full of bondage accessories, porn dvd’s and magazines. “In another we found eight dead cats, all in shoe boxes. “Then you get the general waste such as empty plastic milk bottles from floor to ceiling, cigarette butts and newspapers. “In one house on Merseyside the amount of rubbish was so high, the lightbulb was actually resting on the pile of rubbish. “And when we got down to the floor there were newspapers from 1987 - she had been hoarding for decades.” George said the hoarding can't be blamed on a specific demographic, as he has turned up to £750,000 houses filled to the brim with hoarded items. Read More Hoarder, 94, dies in fire at home where clutter was piled to ceiling and birds built nests inside He added that he and his team learn a lot about the owner of the properties they clean, and some hoarders have specific collector addictions. He said: “There is always a story behind it. “They are not just dirty people, there is usually an underlying issue. “When you clear a hoarder’s house, by the time you walk away from there, you know that individual. “Because you are delving real deep down into their lives really. "We know what they like to eat, after finding hundreds of cans of spaghetti hoops, we know what they like to read or what they do. “There are people who just sit there and order stuff from QVC. “We’ve seen piles of George Forman grills, microwaves, hoovers - some still in boxes. “A lot of stuff goes to the tip, but we give a lot to charities as well.” Mostly, families of hoarders request the help of George and his team after the death of a relative, however some referrals are made through social services, the NHS and even the fire service. George said: “One of our biggest jobs last year and I think one of the biggest hoards in the UK, was a semi-detached house which we cleaned 16 tonnes of rubbish from. “We found three cars that the family didn’t even know he had, because the property was so overgrown and full.” However some discoveries are a little more gruesome and even quite personal. He added: “When I unlock that

Fans think they know what Pep Guardiola said to Paul Pogba

03:33
Moments after the referee called time on the Manchester derby, Pep Guardiola was seen speaking with Paul Pogba. And well, it wasn't long before fans began speculating as to what the duo were talking about, especially considering the recent news involving them. Prior to Manchester United's win over Manchester City, which Pogba ensured with two second half goals and perhaps the performance of his career for the Red Devils, Guardiola dropped the bombshell that the Frenchman's agent Mino Raiola offered him as a potential signing in January. "I don't understand why I am such a bad guy," said Guardiola in his press conference. But being this guy, two months ago he offered me [Henrikh] Mkhitaryan and Pogba to play with us. Why? "Why did he offer them? He was interested in Mkhitaryan and Pogba playing with us. Pogba is an incredible player. A top, top player.I said no. We don't have the money enough to buy Pogba because he is so expensive." Jose Mourinho responded to his comments on Sky Sports, saying: "Guardiola says that, the agent denies that. One of them is saying the truth and one of them isn't. "I am not interested in which is the liar and which is the honest guy." The Portuguese later praised the Frenchman, after his side's derby win, and again referenced the incident. "I wasn't asking Paul to improve because I was happy with what he was doing in the first half, then he scored two great goals," he said. "If his agent was offering him to some clubs, the price has now gone up a lot." Pogba had a quick chat with the Manchester City boss immediately after Saturday's fixture, and it's not known what was actually said. But it seems some Citizens fans have a good idea. poll loading Will Manchester United win the Premier League title next season? 7000+ VOTES SO FAR YES NO

Tory minister dodges questions on why Russians donate to his party

A Tory minister has dodged a question asking him why Russians donate to his party and what they expect in return. The Conservatives have received more than £820,000 in political donations from Russian oligarchs since Theresa May became Prime Minister. This includes a £30,000 from the wife of a former Putin crony to dine with the defence secretary. The widow of the murdered spy Alexander Litvinenko called on the Tories to return the donations telling the Prime Minister: “You need to be very careful who you are friends with.” Transport secretary Chris Grayling was representing the government on Question Time. Instead he parroted the line about his party following electoral law saying: "We have clear rules about political donations, we follow those rules, they are properly scrutinised. "What we must not do, we have a lot of people who are Russian, who are now UK citizens who live in London who've actually left Russia." Russia's ambassador to Britain mocked and branded “Comical Ali” by MPs: https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/politics/russias-ambassador-mocked-branded-comical-12540917. Thanks for watching, subscribe for more videos: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCzURZooob2rF_a_1cONbUIg?sub_confirmation=1 Russia's ambassador to Britain was openly mocked and branded “Comical Ali” as he reinforced claims British spooks tried to murder a former KGB spook in Salisbury. Alexander Yakovenko told a cross-party group of MPs and peers Moscow believed UK security services attempted to poison Sergei Skripal , 66, and his daughter Yulia, 33, in a bid to paint the nation in a bad light. The pair were contaminated with a Novichok nerve agent on March 4. He is still in hospital but she has been released. Asked “why would we do that?”, Mr Yakovenko claimed Britain wanted to sway public opinion against the Kremlin. “General opinion is that Russia is enemy number one,” he said. “You need the support of the people ... in order to get the support, something extraordinary should be done in this country in order to make people believe that this is the Russians who did, who basically poisoned the Skripals - and that’s exactly what happened.” Read More Labour 'stitch-up' fears appear to be averted as party chiefs reveal shortlist for crucial by-election Incredulous MPs blasted the claim and accused the diplomat of “double speak” as he spoke in Westminster. Telling Mr Yakovenko “you have some audacious arguments”, cross-party group chairman, Labour MP Chris Bryant added: “We have to presume you believe what you say but we find it very difficult to believe there are even nuggets of truth in there.” Tory MP Bob Seely thought Russia was “very plausible but completely unbelievable”. In a reference to the infamous Iraqi information minister at the time of the 2003 US-led invasion, he warned the envoy: “People treat you as they treated Comical Ali in Iraq.” He added: “I just think you live in a parallel universe. Do you find you’re becoming simply unbelievable?” Accusing the diplomat of peddling Kremlin propaganda, Tory former Environment Minister Richard Benyon told Mr Yakovenko: “We can get much of what you’re saying on RT (Russia Today) if we’re bored enough to watch it.” Ex-Defence Minister Lord Robathan said: “Russia is becoming a pariah state.” But the beleaguered ambassador smiled and insisted: “I believe what I am saying.”. MPs and peers pointed to Vladimir Putin ’s support for Bashar al-Assad in Syria, the 2014 annexation of Crimea, Russia’s backing of rebels in eastern Ukraine, the 2014 shooting down of MH17 over Ukraine in which 298 passengers and crew were killed and the 2006 murder with Polonium 210 of former spy Alexander Litvenenko in London as evidence of direct or indirect Russian aggression. Mr Bryant added: “You don’t have to be cynical to come to the view that this is a bully with territorial ambitions.” In a wide-ranging 60-minute appearance, Mr Yakovenko was warned his country risked “real live war” with the West. Worried members highlighted Kremlin warplanes’ dangerous practice of switching off aircraft transponders – safety devices designed to prevent mid-air collisions by alerting nearby jets to their presence.
