Perhaps Another Winter Day
Bruce Martin Lager; From The Basement I wrote this song back in 1984 or 1985. I didn't know it at the time, but this song, which is about loneliness and loss, was a sort of eulogy. When I lost my father on June 13th, 2006, it became obvious what this song that I had written over 20 years earlier was about. This is for my father Harold. I miss you...RIP. I look up into the winter sky Maybe I'll find an answer I've got a lot of questions Perhaps Another Winter Day I don't know what I'm looking for Maybe I'll find it here A lonely gull on the sand Perhaps Another Winter Day I feel alone and cold sometimes When you're alone, you feel that way You say the ice is in my eyes Perhaps Another Winter Day The gray day turned in to red sky The lonely gull has flown away To leave me stranded on this shore Perhaps Another Winter Day
