Fragile (Sting) cover tribute to the victim of the earthquakes in Japan, NZ and Haiti. It may not be the appropriate song but the message of this chorus is so strong. This is my tribute to the victims of the recent earth quakes in Japan, New Zealand and Haiti. Shocking images from all around the world telling us just 'how Fragile we are...'

Sunday Morning Jam No. 38, November 6, 2011 - How Deep Is The Ocean
Frank Sinatra's classic 'How Deep Is The Ocean' How much do I love you? Ill tell you no lie How deep is the ocean? How high is the sky? How many times a day do I think of you? How many roses are sprinkled with dew? How far would I travel To be where you are? How far is the journey from here to a star? And if I ever lost you, how much would I cry? How deep is the ocean? How high is the sky?

The Way The Ballad Goes - Farid Rislani
With profound sadness in my heart I post this song. I recorded it years ago with a very talented young Dutch-Moroccan singer named Farid Rislani. When he first walked into the studio to audition he sung Mariah Carey’s song “Hero” and just blew me away with his phenomenal voice. It’s such a shame that the world has never acknowledged his beautiful voice and amazing talent. May your gentle soul rest in peace brother! And may you sing among the stars forever more! Sunday Morning Jam No.13, October 24, 2010 Sound Of The Rain
Sound Of The Rain... On this rainy sunday morning I like to watch the raindrops as they're falling down, (yeah it's just one of those lazy sundays) from leave to leave, until they finally hit the puddles beneath the trees. Each 'path' different for every drop of rain. Like a giant pinball machine with leaves, controlled by the wind. The sunlight glistering in every drop, like diamonds from the sky. If you listen carefully you can actually hear it's soft music: the Sound Of The Rain...

VI. THE LOVERS - I'll Take It From Here (acoustic version)
I'd like to take some time to thank the sun for coloring your hair a thousand tones for kissing you awake in the early morn' and gently shine a smile upon your lips. I'm grateful for her light upon your back, while tiny clouds cast shadows on your legs. My heart just skipped for I was overwhelmed by a golden ray touching your chin, causing goose bumps on my skin. The tiny hairs upon your arms are turning into silver yarn, she's peeking thru the window drawing near. I'll thank her for warming you, tenderly caressing you, but I'll tell her I'll take it from here. My fingers running thru your luscious curls, you're holding me so tight as if you'll never let me go. Whenever I make a move you make a counter point, your hips are following my pace, I watch your face as I hear the sounds you make moaning, groaning, louder as we proceed. My arms around your waist, kisses in my neck and on my face. We're whispering sweet little words, confessions we've never heard. And all this time we breathe in rhythm, our arms and legs entwined, complicated dance moves. Silently grateful for being touched by the sun, kissing the light in your hair, where it all began.

http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/sunday-morning-jams-part-1/id417437264?uo=4 Last Friday there was an amazing tribute concert in St. Peter's Church in NY for the wonderful and inspiring singer Armsted Christian who is suffering from Sarcoidosis. Surrounded by his dear friends, no less than Morris Pleasure, Vana Gierig, Najee, Victor Bailey, Omar Hakim, Marcus Miller to name but a few there was an amazing vibe in the air, a friendship and love so pure it inspired everyone present and everyone listening to The Jazz Network Worldwide. I hereby dedicate my Sunday Morning Jam to this inspiring evening by improvving on 'Beautiful Love' by Victor Young. Change Is Bound To Come
This song was our tribute to the 2008 Obama 'Change' campaign, now part of black American history. Though a lot has happened since, we're still a long way from a world that isn't ruled by major companies and corrupt politicians. But change is bound to come!! Music, lyrics and production by MW, vocals by Brown Hill, guitar by Hark.

Sunday Morning Jam No.09 Sept 26, 2010 - My Electric Lady
http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/sunday-morning-jams-part-1/id417437264?uo=4 Originally a tribute to the Fender Rhodes and should have been played on the Rhodes, but since this is a series of acoustic fiddles... I had to play it on the piano. Music & Lyrics by Roni Morgan and Michael Waters... You know, the first time I was introduced to her by Mr. Grand, I was immediately aroused by the legacy of her beauty. Her charismatic look from the early 60's made her so unique. As she stood there in the back of the hall next to Miss Steinway. Over the years her freedom of speech has always expressed itself through defining warm voicings that inspired so many of us. Rewarded as a true innovator of Neo Soul, she eventually became the source of a new breed of inspiration. Some still call her 'Miss Fender Rhodes' but I prefer to call her 'My Electric Lady'...

Sunday Morning Jam No. 32 April 24, 2011 Ave Maria (Beyonce)
This tracks is now available on iTunes: http://itunes.apple.com/gb/album/sunday-morning-jams-xmas-edition/id481289005 You are my heaven on earth, you are my last my first and then I hear this voice inside: Ave Maria... I was waiting for a good moment to play this song and since it is Easter weekend, I figured there wouldn't be a better time to play Ave Maria in Beyonce's version. Combined with a still from Disney's Ave Maria from the movie Fantasia it's makes a pretty appropriate Christian-Pagean mix.

Sunday Morning Jam No.23 - January 16, 2011 - In Your Own Sweet Way
In Your Own Sweet Way, originally composed by Dave Brubeck in 1952 or 1953... Brubeck's wife Iola, a fine lyricist who has collaborated with Dave over the years on many projects, added the rather cryptic lyric to "In Your Own Sweet Way." It's about a charmer whose "sweet way" has "turned the world upside down." However, as the singer says in frustration, "I can tell that you'd like to stay your own sweet way."

Sunday Morning Jam No.14, October 31, 2010 - Alone Together
Alone Together... Do you feel completely alone even though you are together with someone? Or have you ever been together with someone and felt like you were the only two people in the world?... Alone Together a song composed by Arthur Schwartz and lyrics by Howard Dietz, first introduced in the Broadway musical Flying Colors in 1932. Alone together, beyond the crowd, Above the world, we're not too proud To cling together, We're strong As long as we're together. Alone together, the blinding rain The starless night, were not in vain; For we're together, and what is there To fear together. Our love is as deep as the sea, Our love is as great as a love can be, And we can weather the great unknown, If we're alone together.

Sunday Morning Jam No.27, February 20, 2011 - Footprints On Your Heart
Some people make you look up to watch the rain, breaking the rays of sunlight as it falls down Some people make your spirit sing, songs you've always known but can never recall until you hear 'em again. Some people make you say words you've never imagined to say, a language unspoken, for what seems an eternity. Some people leave footprints on your heart...

Sunday Morning Jam No.34 - Forbidden Kingdom
I was watching the movie Forbidden Kingdom and got carried away by the cool story and great martial arts from Jackie Chan, Jet Li, Li Bingbing and Crystal Liu. A fantasy story about a monkey king who gets tricked by the jade warlord of the Forbidden Kingdom and has to wait for hundreds of years until 'the traveller' returns his staff with which he can defeat the warlord. The enchanting images of the Chinese landscape combined of course with the beauty of 'the White Witch' and 'Golden Sparrow' inspired me to play around with the movies' theme song this Sunday morn.

Sunday Morning Jam No. 36, September 23, 2011 - Would You Cry If I Told You That?
I want you to know that we can live a lie. Would you wonder why? if I told you that? I know that we believe in what we think is real. But this is all we got, would you cry if told you that? I want you to know that everything I do, is for the greater good. Would you sigh if i told you that? I and every breath I take, is not because of me but for the love we make. Would you cry if i told you that? I want you to hear my whispers in your ear that i belong to you, no matter what we do. Would you cry if i told you that? Would you lie if i told you that?

Sunday Morning Jam No.10, October 3, 2010 - My Foolish Heart
http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/sunday-morning-jams-part-1/id417437264?uo=4 My Sunday morning tribute to a beautiful song composed and written by Victor Young and Ned Washington as first featured in the movie 'My Foolish Heart' starring Susan Hayward and Dana Andrews. The night is like a lovely tune, beware, my foolish heart! How white the ever constant moon, take care, my foolish heart! There's a line between love and fascination, That's hard to see on an evening such as this, For they give the very same sensation. When you are lost in the passion of a kiss. Your lips are much too close to mine, beware my foolish heart! But should our eager lips combine, then let the fire start. For this time it isn't fascination, or a dream that will fade and fall apart, It's love this time, it's love, my foolish heart!
