At the time of planting prepare the soil with well rotted animals manure /leaf compost or a complete fertiliser with NPK in it will suffice, but blood and bone types will also grow good lilies. feed at planting by placing on top of the soil and watering in,mulch well to keep the soil cool and moist . liquid fertilising once the plants are setting buds, this is beneficial to keep foliage green, importantly fertilise the bulbs again after they have finished flowering. This will provide the bulbs with the energy to repeat flowering again, top dress with fertiliser in late winter. 6:- Pruning:- it's best to remove old flower heads once flowers fade to promote bulbs growth .cut down to ground level once foliage has died off completely but not before. by removing the stems any earlier you are infect starving the bulb of all the energy it needs to flower again the following year. bulbs can be left in the ground to naturalised or lifted and separated. replant without delay, dislike being moved wet feet. repot or dig them out in autumn, 7:- Pests generally pest resistant though aphids may be a problem. use any organic or inorganic pesticides to deal with aphids. 8:-general care tips before and after planting liliums are available for purchase in winter and early spring and are generally packed in a moist organic mix to keep the bulbs moist, so plant immediately after delivery and don't allow the bulbs to dry out. This is very important as lilies don't have a dormant cycle like many other bulbs, 2:-if you are planning to dig and transplant lilies bulbs then this should be done in autumn 3:- If growing in pots, make sure the pot is 200mm minimum. place no more then 3 bulbs per pot. 4:-be careful when planting Tiger lilies tiger lilies mosaic virus avoid Aphids, don't plant them with other lilies to avoid Tiger lilies mosaic virus, grow them by seeds if you want to plant them with other lilies, the virus infect every part of the plant except for the seeds, still adding tiger lilies to garden with other lilies is always risky, 9:-Propagation:- once every 3 year dig up cluster of bulbs and dividing bulbs, is the way to propagate lilies. It can form on any surface of the plant but mainly seen on the top and bottom sides. thus irrigation practices to minimise leaf wetness and proper plant spacing to allow for air movement through the canopy are important disease management strategies for controlling foliage outbreaks of phytopthora. Propagation= can be started from seeds and also can be propagate from cutting. how braided was made. In 1986 a Japanese Taiwanese truck driver first cultivated five small trees in a single pot and braided their trunks since then this braided money tree became so popular all around the world. ๐Ÿ˜Š
