Preppers: Alternative antibiotics for SHTF and after
Please research using Colloidal Silver but this will get you started...If making it, KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING BEFORE MAKING! Here is some info about Colloidal Silver. Keep in mind an herb or liquid may kill bacteria in a dish on contact but not be as effective in the body(as the body breaks things down) However, CS is effective against antibiotic resistant bacteria. Goldenrod and its uses
Goldenrod is a good go to plant for the Urinary tract and for good reason, its medicinal properties are anti-inflammatory along with being a diuretic to help increase urine flow. I have also used goldenrod as an aid for wounds and bumps or bruises. Just apply like a poultice. You can use this as a fresh herb for tea, dried herb for tea, or tincture it. Some will use all parts but mostly only the Ariel parts(top or above ground parts) ****This information is NOT intended to treat, diagnose, or cure any illness. Please, seek a medical doctor for your health concerns.****

The diverse uses of the mimosa silk tree
I have wanted to get to this video since the day i seen the first blooms pop up...In fact, I tried to get to it the day I filmed the magnolia tree video but it started raining on me. It pairs WELL with magnolia. Mimosa tree has been used for A LOT. It pairs well with other plants that will help to bring out its properties even more. Its been used for anxiety, depression and for grieving the loss of a loved one. Some have paired it with other depression and uplifting hers/trees to help a person feel better while calming. mildly sedative and therefore used for insomnia. Known to be antibacterial and anti-inflammatory so you may be able to use this tree where you need those properties as well...Be aware that you shouldnt use the mimosa tree when pregnant because he pushes or moves blood. (So promotes healing but you never want to cause bleeding when pregnant) The main constituents in the tree are tannins. Some women use it, paired with other herbs for an natural antioxidant! Because it promote blood flow and its gentle, it has often been used for male sexual organs as well. Parts used, bark, flowers, roots, seeds, and leaves. Bark and flowers mostly. How to use: You can make tinctures, capsules, dried, infusion or teas! ATTENTION: this video is not intended to treat, diagnose, or cure any illness. Please, seek a medical professional for medical advice.

How to use your Master Tonic
There is so much you can do with this recipe its not even funny. You have many options here. However, this is my recipe for this batch: I use: lemons, tangerine or other citrus fruit, onions, garlic, ginger, horseradish, peppers, mustard seeds, peppercorns, herbs like rosemary, basil, thyme. Spices like cinnamon and cloves, and apple cider vinegar(with the mother) chop or use a food processor, combine into mason jar of your preferred size, cover with apple cider vinegar. Shake daily like a tincture and strain after about 2-4 weeks depending. Make sure you have no metal touching, as you can see I have a plastic baggie over the top of mine. You can take this as a daily preventative for sickness, there are herbs in here that are antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral, diuretic, blood purifying, blood moving, metabolism increasing, and blood circulatory aid. It's warming, pungent, sweet and sour. You're really only limited by your imagination here. NOTE: You can store in the refrigerator if you want to, but there's really no need as long as there's not an abundance of water. You want to keep the acidity level at 5% which is how the Apple cider vinegar comes. If you go lower than that, you risk bacteria over time. Even though you have antiviral, antifungal, and antibacterial herbs in there you still want to take precautions. If you only use dried herbs because you're in a pinch then you don't have to worry about this. Always use fresh herbs they have more essential oils. Attention: This video is not intended to treat, diagnose, or cure any illness. Please, seek medical help for your medical needs.

Rabbit Tobacco aka (Sweet) Life Everlasting
Rabbit Tobacco is a great respiratory herb and was used by the Native Americans in many ways(tea, smoke, and incense) Its used for a cough/cold aid and many use it will other herbs for asthma and other respiratory aliments. It is rather EASY to ID the plant in all months as the plant looks the same all year, only difference would be in the spring, the green leaves start to turn the silvery ash color. You will notice the plant does this from the bottom up. So the bottom leaves start turning that distinct silvery color first and then as the plant ages and fall comes all the leaves turn and curl in(like seen in the video) In my opinion, the fragrance changes ever so slightly to a more sweet peppercorn like smell as opposed to the strong sweet smell in the warmer months; that resembles syrup and even antifreeze. The top of the plant(flowers) tend to be the easiest way to ID the plant in the spring for a newbie wildcrafter that is used to looking for the all over silver color that it becomes later in the months. Its a great antiviral, thus the reason it is used in the respiratory system as formulas and even singles or aka a "simples." The herb is astringent as many herbs are, this means that they help to tighten up soft tissue which can be good for the digestive tract and respiratory system also. It is also what gives herbal teas that "pucker" when we drink them. Its tightening up the tissues. You are actually seeing and feeling what the herbal properties do on the inside of your body when you feel it working within the mouth. Wild Geranium, an edible yard weed
Wild geranium roots are used to stop bleeding due to the strong astringent properties which tighten tissues. You can use the tops and flowers to add to a salad or even a smoothie. This plant is also called "cranes bill" but doesnt always look like a Cranes bill so I would rather call it Wild Geranium. This plant can some times be confused with Dwarf Larkspur which is a strong medicinal herb that grows under a canopy. Wild Geranium likes full sun and some times spotted shade while Larkspur is a canopy lover for sure. You can use this for wound healing also, but I would consider it much less medicinal than Larkspur due to the toxicity of Larkspur. How to tell if an egg is still good to eat?
THE EGG TEST! This is an awesome little tid bit of info! Some of that raise chickens might already know this, but I will admit I had no idea! This would help some of those people on survival shows where they find an egg they think is abandoned and yet, still edible... -Really fresh eggs will sink to the bottom and lay on its side. - Week old eggs will rest on teh bottom, but the fat rounded end will rise up slightly -2-3 week old eggs will be balanced on the pointy part -BAD EGGS- old, bad eggs will be floating(DONT EAT)

Herbs for a parasite detox
You may want to make tinctures out of all these or capsules....whatever suits your needs...Both will get the job done. Keep in mind the herxheimer reaction (aka die off symptoms) Its best to make these tinctures in smaller amounts because you want the tincture strong. Black walnut tincture may have a brownish tent after it ages a bit. It is still useful, just not as powerful. The darkness is iodine, which is something must people are deficient in anyway. Using these will detox the body of over 100 different types of parasites! So get ready to see things that you never thought you would...Better out than in :) http://curezone.com/diseases/parasites/herbalcure1.asp

A wonderful medicial tree: Sweet Gum
Attention: This video is NOT intended to treat, diagnose, or cure ANY illness; seek medical advice from your medical doctor. Sweet Gum is a well known tree in the southeast. Some love it, some hate, but those that are in the 'love it' category are in the know on how useful it is. Due to the shikmic acid it contains, at a level of about 3%(give or take depending on the part used) it is used for the flu. It works by blocking the virus from reproducing due to the inability for the proteins to help it break out and then move to another cell to infect. To make the preparation: Cut up or smash the green balls(spurs) and then tincture it. You can also do the same thing with the resin, or even the bark from the inner part. The leaves are also medicinal and can be taken via a "tea" just like you can with a decocted bark.

Water purification: Liquid bleach vs pool shock(Calcium Hypochlorite)
Did you know liquid bleach goes bad(as far as water purification) after 6 months? Then, if its stored in high temp areas it lowers that 6 months. How many gallons do you have stored and need to change out for a product with longer shelf life? This pool shock is said to last 3-5 years according to my pool guy in my area. Please, do your own research on this, but its something I wanted to share with you all. Also you will see that I store(with the pool shock) a bottle with a dropper, this is for an accurate dose on drops per gallon of water. I recommend you do the same. So as soon as I get the email back from the EPA I will do an update on what percentage they call "high test" and let yall know. Making pine needle tea
WARNING!!! NOT ALL TREES ARE EDIBLE AND SOME MAY CAUSE DEATH, PLEASE, KNOW THE TREES IN YOUR AREA AND MAKE SURE YOU CAN PROPERLY ID THEM AT LEAST 2 OR 3 DIFFERENT WAYS. The Pine I am using in the video is a Loblolly pine, which is native to my area of the USA. Want to boost your Vit C, while preventing Scurvy? Pine needle tea is the best! This is real easy! Cut off the green needles on the pine tree and then cut them up into smaller pieces to expose the essential oils... From that point you pour boiling water over the top and let sit for about 10 mins and then strain and its done! Add honey, or a sweetener if you want. Enjoy! This is a very mild taste in comparison to some other herbs or tree leaves/bark.... I think it taste good, taste like it smells (like a Christmas tree) NOTE: If you grow or can get your hands on Rose Hips, they contain 50 times the Vit C then that of Lemons This video is not intended to treat, diagnose, or cure any illness, please see your physician for medical advice.

Foraging: Chickweed!
Chickweed is a soft and lush little plant that likes a damp environment with a bit of sun light... So spotted sunlight or shady most of the day. It may vary with the look of its leaves a tiny bit, depending on where you are. I have seen some with a curl at the end, some a bit pointed and then some rounded off. Its great for keeping scurvy at bay. As most all green things are. This little nourishing plant is good source of calcium and magnesium, zinc and iron along with trace minerals. I like to use it on burns and mix it with plantain to eat or use as a poultice. Herbalists for a long time would use it for those that had excess fat they wanted to get rid of. Used it for the sunburns, inflammation, and anything for the blood. There have been rumors of those with kidney issues shouldnt use Chickweed in abundance--however some Herbalist use it for the kidney in helping it function. Keep in mind every person reacts differently to many different things...I personally have never had any problems with this wonderful plant. Perfect for the skin, so...cuts and scrapes, stings and rash. To eat: Simply nibble on it trail side or add to smoothies or salads. Its a mild tasting herb so great for first time foragers!! This video is not intended to treat, diagnose, or cure any illness.. Please see your doctor for medical advice.

The many uses of bamboo
Bamboo can be used for many things, I go over a FEW here in the video. If you are lucky enough to find some bamboo, make sure you keep that as a stop point. Bamboo is useful for shelter building, garden growing, purifying water when you don't have a container, used as a internal charcoal cleanse(which you can use the bamboo charcoal for filters too), weapons/tools, along with a container for food like berries. If you find bamboo that is mature and you hear water in between the joints, poke a whole in the joint and drink, no need to purify it! Bamboo is invasive so it grows FAST! Which is good in a survival situation.

Powerful Tonic: Usnea/Lichen
If you dont know Lichen, GET TO KNOW IT! Its a MUST have for the Herbal cabinet and your BOB! Tincture this wonderfully powerful, yet gentle herb for long lasting use. Here is a list of uses for Usnea. -Respiratory issues -UT issues -DT Issues -Topical skin issues(wound healing also) -Fungal infections topically or internally Properties that cause it to work: -Antibacterial -Antimicrobial -Antibiotic -Anti-viral -Anti-fungal -Vulnerary(Wound healing) Usnea is an amazing little antibiotic, fighting Gram Positive bacteria, it aids the body in healing up faster. With its antiviral, antibacterial, and anti-fungal properties its GREAT for colds and flu, and also for the DT seeing as it can allow the body to recover much faster than it normally would. You can use Usnea on an open wound in a powder(ground up) form or even as a liniment(alcoholic spray) Be it that lichen can be hard to extract you MAY need to break the herb down to nearly a powder and then used GENTLE heat. I REPEAT, GENTLE HEAT, SUCH AS THAT FROM A WARM ROOM(OUT OF THE SUN THOUGH) I have had success with extracting via tincture without the need of heat. It some times all depends. ****PLEASE, EXTRACT AT YOUR OWN RISK VIA HEAT AND ALCOHOL**** This video is NOT intended to treat, diagnose, or cure ANY illness...please, seek medical attention from your healthcare provider for your medical needs.

Make your own Vit C powder
I recommend using organic or even locally bought over not. That way you know that its clean and not genetically modified (GM) Vit C is GREAT for preventing Scurvy and the Indians knew this YEARS ago. They would make pine straw tea to prevent it...when everyone else was dying from it, they were healthy. If you choose not to use this now, learn how to make it for later. Blessings! How to: Peel citrus fruits of any kind, save the peel and let dry completely. Then, grind to a power to then capsule it. http://www.bulkherbstore.com/Gelatin-Capsules?s=capsules ATTENTION: This video is not intended to treat, diagnose, or cure any illness, please see your physician for medical advice.

Dress it up by adding a little salt or even honey if you want! Its up to you and your taste-buds!

A useful plant not many remember.... Rose Campion
This small Perennial plant has been overlooked for a time now. Lychnis coronaria aka Rose campion! Back in the day it was used for wound healing, wick making, poison treatment from bites(again wound treatments) Here are some ways to use it. -One can simply crush the seeds(after saving them) or the leaves and stems with some water and apply to the skin to help the body heal faster. -Digging up the root and crushing or smashing it with water or even boiling it makes a soap like mixture. This can be used for a soap substitute to wash with. - After making the mixture you can then use it to stun fish to then eat. This is due to the saponin in the plant. -Due to the saponins in the plant one can extract that with water(of various degrees/temp) and then also use an alcohol based such as a tincture. I would recommend using the rose Campion tincture as a external liniment(alc. spray) for wounds care.

Wild purple violets: Another useful yard "weed"
This is a great little mild tasting herb to add to smoothies and/or eat outright as a trail side nibble! We LOVE purple violets for a few reasons, the slimy mucilage properties are very good for sore throats and soothing the DT. We also use it to make a quick bush soap by scrubbing it between our hands with a little water and watch it foam a bit. Use can make a water infusion with this to drink or use as a skin spray. Its great to add to a salve or a scrub for eczema. Its got plenty of Vitamin C and A so its a good herb to use to prevent scurvy and boost the immune system! Great for many things like breaking fever, stomach, skin and also tumors, blood restoring, spleen aiding and that also helps the immune system. Since it helps with blood its great for the heart and also women due to menstrual cycle. Attention: This video is not intended to treat, diagnose, or cure any illness. Cleavers aka sticky weed
Cleavers makes for more than a great head band or quick wrap to help hold a herbal bandage on... Its a good anti-inflammatory, diuretic, and tonic in general. Many use it for the lymph system, I personally love it for that reason. You can make a simple tincture out of it or you can infuse it into water and drink. Prepping: Using CapriSun packs as mini Mylar bags
There are a lot of thongs on the market that you can use as mylar. I personally love these little packs as it gives me freedom to store small amounts without breaking into my 5 gal storage. I feel this is a necessary thing when the SHTF as you wont want to run a chance on contaminating your larger batches or breaking the seal. I store these in 5 gallon buckets with labels on each one telling me what is in it. You can do anything, breakfast, lunch, and dinner in these. Use your imagination and see what you come up with. Here are some ideas: Water(only use distilled after you clean them with bleach) Seasoning, salt, rice, beans, mini waterproof first aid kids, BOB packs, great for heating in, batteries, fire starter( kindling and tinder) Tinder ideas: Lent, cotton balls soaked in petroleum jelly, wood chips, etc

Simple uses for the Magnolia tree
This tree doesnt have a ton of uses, but its worth mentioning at least for the calming effect it has on the body. Its native to China so they use it far more than we do here for medicinal purposes. There have been studies done and shown it to be effective vs placebo testing. Can be used for sleep, anxiety and depression. Chinese medicine uses it with other plants and usually in tincture form. The bark and the flowers are medicinal. I have read some in china use its root, however, I personally have only ever used the bark and the flowers topically. As a child I would make little purses out of the LARGE tough leaves and this can be used for carrying things. I would also make hats or use the large leaves for sun cover on my face. You could also use the large leaves for covering if you happen to be naked. Each leaf will vary by how curved it is, but can be used for spoons or even carrying a small amount of water if need be. GREAT for shelter and also for shade as the tree likes to sprawl out and then up. This video is not intended to treat, diagnose or cure any illness. Please see your doctor for medical advice.

Ear ache? Grab an onion!
After the crap hits the fan even the smallest of things can cause much pain and or threaten your way of life. I have tested this as well as using a potato in my room when sick to pull out infections or bacteria from the air. With that being said, I also use it in my ear(juice) to aid my body with recovery from a infection or ache due to being hit in the ear or cut that might get infected and cause a problem. Onions are known to be a contact antibiotic and antibacterial...Meaning when put on an infection, they go to work on it! Its a expectorant and that is why its used when someone has a upper respiratory infection and are trying to breath better. Simply steep it and drink! I know, it taste nasty...but what do I always say? If it tastes good its most likely NOT good for us! Bitter is better and sour is power! ;) Blessings to you and yours! UPDATE: Place onion juice in ear and lay on other ear for a few moments. Allow it to "soak in" and when you feel it has done that stand up and let the onion juice drain out of the effected ear. I normally place a cotton ball in the hurting ear to allow heat build up and prevent cold air from blowing into the ear canal. This is similar to placing a warm cloth over the hurting ear. You dont have to do this but I prefer to. DO NOT place anything in the ear if you believe you have a hole in the ear drum, seek your Doctor right away. DO NOT place any chunks from the onion in the ear, this can get lodged in the ear and cause a hole in the drum OR even other further issues. NOTE: onion juice wont act like RX ear drops that evaporate. YOU MUST drain the ear after you place the juice in it and massage the area. DO NOT leave onion juice in your ear. You will feel as though the ear is "full" when you place the juice in it to start with, this is normal and should go away when you drain the ear. -----much like getting out of the shower or pool and shaking the water out of the ear as you normally would. A plan for washing clothes after the SHTF to prevent illness
Addressing washing cloths after the SHTF is not glorious or fun like buying gear or extras, but it is a need that is over looked and you may think, "I will just wash in the creek or washing like my granny use to." In survival, washing clothes can drain energy and resources." I will do a video on how I plan to do it later. Make sure you know how to wash your clothes to prevent bacterial spread, most certainly if you have a baby and dirty diapers that need washing. Use grey water as a rinse to help preserve your drinking water. My recipe makes a LARGE amount(5 gallons) but can be broken down to make smaller amounts. Heat about 4-5 cups of water to boiling to melt soap and powder. 1 bar of fels napths or Ivory, or even homemade soap 1 cup of washing powder 1 cup of Borax When cooled add essential oils if you want. Grate bar into a bucket, heat some water and melt(dont make bubbles) add powders and stir until melted... let sit so it can set up over night. This will form a gel or jelly like soap, break that down into smaller amounts. This is VERY concentrated and should be watered down a bit before using or clothes will be hard to rinse.

Make an all over body powder using essential oils
Have you ever wanting to start using essential oils and making nearly all your own products? This is a great way to start! This is also GREAT for post SHTF body care because of the properties the EO's have. :) Recipe: Bentonite Clay--pulls heavy metals from the body and can be taken internally also. Essential oil-- Your choice of essential oils (keep in mind their properties) I used Tea Tree and Bergamot. Mix about 2 TBSP of Bentonite Clay with around 5-10 drops each of essential oils (Depending on your own skin and sensitivity) TIP: Add a couple drops, then smell to see how strong it is, add more if needed.

The uses of Dock herb
Dock is used for many things but one of the main ones is a laxative and used in causes where you would need a anti-inflammatory. Please note: This plant contains oxalic acid and when eaten raw will have much higher amounts and shouldnt be consumed in large quantities by those with gout or other illnesses where acid will cause problems like those with RA. Small amounts are fine, cook the plant to remove most of the oxalic acid This video is for informational purpose only. Its not intended to treat, diagnose, or cure any illness. Purple dead-nettle
This is a early spring "weed" that pops up and runs all throughout your yard. Its early spring because its still cool then and hasn't transitioned to warm yet....they like that type weather. It is both edible and medicinal. Dont confuse the name with stinging nettles as its not related at all, hence the name dead nettle(doesnt sting) Notice it looks like mint? That is because it is in the mint family. It wont smell like mint when you crush it though. Its leaves are alternating (so a leaf on each side like N,S,E,W) As the leaves move down the stem they will grow larger. The shape of the leaves are similar to a heart or a triangle, with some having a purplish color where it attaches to the stem. Stems will be square and with tiny hairs. It's taste is mild and grassy so mix with smoothies or use in a salad with a good dressing if you want to avoid that taste. Make into a stir fry or dry it for later use. Make it into a poultice for small wound care. Its high in vitamins and minerals. Those with an iron deficiency will love this weed. Harvest now because it doesnt stay around long. This information is NOT intended to diagnose cure or prevent an illness. Please, see your physician for medical advice.

How to make a Black Willow Tincture. (for headaches and pain)
In the video I show you how I make a Black Willow (wild crafted) tincture to aid your body in getting rid of your aches and pains. You could strip the bark from the tree and chew on it if you didn't have a tincture, but I a stocking up. If you want to chew the bark rather then make a tincture, I would recommend chewing on the bark and tucking it under the tongue(sublingual) to get the benefits into the blood stream faster. This is a natural anti-inflammatory and GREAT for helping lower back pain, headaches, menstrual cramps, or any type pain that is caused by inflammation. From my own personal research and experience I have found that Willow wont upset ones stomach or thin the blood. However, please note... Identifying wild Lobelia
Lobelia can range in the blue to purple color hues. This particular variety falls into a light purple range. Lobelia has so many uses for the lungs it would take me forever to list them all. It really is a great herb that got a bad name as toxic simply due to the emetic properties. That is not a bad thing, that is the plants way of telling "hey dont eat or take too much of me or I can harm you" so that vomiting effect is the plants way of preventing you from doing that. This is similar to the action of taking too much Vit C and it inducing a reaction that makes you run to the restroom. This is so you dont OD on vit C...which by the ways is practically impossible because of this nice built in effect and the fact that its water soluble. Pair this video with my video on lobelia for helping to stop smoking and that should be good enough for you to go out and wild craft it yourself! :) Other ways to save the seeds: Cut the stalk and place in a bag, shake the stalk until all seeds are in the bag. I dont recommend storing them in a bag though. Seeds are alive and need to breath. Keep them in a cool dark area away from water and they will store for a long time!

Preppers: Foot care, info every diabetic should know.
Foot care is always important and should not be taken lightly... With that being said, if you're a diabetic this is a need to know. Diabetics should not do foot baths too often, but in the case of athletes foot, its best to kill it before it spreads to become cellulitis. Bacterial infections like athletes foot may seem like not a big deal now....but after the SHTF its a BIG deal to those of you that might be diabetic. Please, learn this little tid bit and stay healthy! Poor circulation and neuropathy is a huge problem in diabetics... There are herbs for that! Oils, too! Quick rundown on the cattail
This is literally a fast rundown on the MANY uses of cattail. My camera was dying that day so I had to hurry to get it filmed. However, there is MUCH you can do with cattail, cook with it as a thickener, add to stir fry, use it for tender, cordage, pillow making(NOTE, bugs often will make warm beds in the cattail fluff so please keep this in mind and use good judgement) Medicinally, this plant was used to help dress a wound in the field to prevent it from bleeding too much and keep the wound from turning septic. Cattails will keep you alive as they are starchy, and contain trace minerals and vitamins also. Combine with meat for a good meal. Cattails grow in mud or mucky water, even though they help to keep the water clean, take caution when harvesting from a chemically polluted water source as that will be in the plant when you eat it. I always say if the water is stagnant too much, unless starving, find another source. ***This information is not intended to treat, diagnose, or cure any illness, please seek medical advice for your health needs.***

Finding and getting pine sap
I HATE to hurt a tree, hate it! However, in light of all the illness running around I need some really strong antibacterial properties and pine is the way to go. If you can find a tree with sap running already or one that had in the past and its hardened up then that is the best route to take. TIPS: -Only harvest(like this video shows) when sap in running(spring and summer months) -IF you do notch out a spot to get some sap, please dont go bigger than the palm of your hand... or you risk the tree getting a disease and will die(wont be useful to you later) -Find a healthy looking tree(some times that's hard to tell, but pines are usually easy to judge if they are sick by looking over them good. -Never cut multiple spots in any one tree, this will damage and make it hard to repair -NEVER EVER strip bark all the way around ANY tree, this kills it. (unless life or death need) -You can tap a pine tree, but have respect for the amount you take from the tree and have all the proper equipment or it will be a messy job...well, more messy lol -You can use pine bark(inner) for lots of recipes. -If you plan to use the sap for tincture, make sure you buy the highest proof possible. This is really resiny and sticky and needs a extremely high proof(190) to tincture. Tincture can be used when done, dilute and use as you choose. I will be doing videos on how to use the sap soon WARNING: Pine shouldnt be ingested by those who might be pregnant. ****This information is not to treat, diagnose, or cure any illness, please seek a medical professional for medical advice.****

DIY temp tooth filling
This is very easy and just takes a little bit of working to get the right thickness. Make sure you dont pack a tooth that is abscessed, that will required more attention than a lost filling. Make sure you do this in a clean environment using clean tools, washed hands and gloves... You can buy the premixed, but I prefer this to premixed. I recommend getting a book called, "where there is no dentist." Also, learn what can now just in case. :) Take care of those teeth! Buy the powder here...http://www.amazon.com/Zinc-Oxide-Powder-Quality-Resealable/dp/B003IGOL8U The clove oil can be bought at any herbal store(MAKE SURE ITS PURE AND NOT A BLEND) It should say 100% pure essential clove oil with the scientific name. This will ensure you arent buying a fragrance oil.. http://www.amazon.com/Now-Foods-Clove-Oil-Oz/dp/B004GTJHL4 As always, this video is not intended to treat, diagnose, or cure any illness. Preppers, store Chia seeds!
Why you should be storing chia seeds?? As the Patriotnurse put it.. "calories are king, but nutrition is queen." That is so very true and you need them BOTH! When you can get both in one spot, why not? Right? Per every 2 TBSP of Chia seeds, they are high in fiber(10g), and calories(138), they have protein(almost 5g), magnesium, iron(6 times that of spinach) , omega-3's(a lot for plants), calcium(5-6 times that of milk), antioxidants(3 times more than blueberries), phosphorus, manganese, potassium, zinc, and copper! The Aztecs and the Mayans used Chia seeds for strength and endurance(good energy) The omega-3 fatty acids are so rich, it is known to be one of the most rich PLANT forms of omega-3's there is. It is also gluten free! It will help level out blood sugar and that is always good for diabetics. You do not have to grind them to get their medicinal and nutritional value as you do with flax seed. Although, you may grind them to thicken soups or make flour, etc. They are used for a egg and mayo substitute. Stock now, while you can! Their shelf live is about 5 years depending on storage(which is medium storage in terms of long term food storage) but for a seed that is good. I personally think they can be stored much longer.... As of right now, they are ORGANIC and NON-GMO Here is some FAQ I found for you guys... Good news, the FDA says chia's are food and not a supplement which needs no regulation/restrictions! YAY! http://www.purehealingfoods.com/chiaFAQ.php

Wonders of activated charcoal!
ATTENTION: This video is not intended to treat, diagnose, or cure any illness, please see your physician for medical advice. Activated charcoal is used for medicinal purposes to remove toxins from the body be it, parasites, gas, food poisoning, heavy metals, or anything that needs to be safely removed from the GI tract. This is great for those with IBS or other inflammation caused by a build up of toxins in the body. AC will absorb anything it can, so that means vital minerals and nutrition; so take it a couple hours before eating, or at night. You can use it topically to remove poison ivy oils, bug bites, puss, rash, etc. Using it as a tooth paste is great because it holds onto and removes the toxins in your mouth. It will turn your mouth black for the time its in your mouth but will wash away leaving you with polished clean teeth. Overall, its great to lower your cholesterol, and cleaning up the organs that are continuously filled with toxins(like the liver) Another use, again because it is such a good absorber is using it in filters. You may also use it over masks and that will help to absorb some toxins in the air. This is why is such be inn your medicine and field kits! NOTE: Dont take this with your medicines or vitamins and minerals because it will absorb them before your body does and basically rendering them useless.

The best natural fire starter: Fatwood
What is fat wood? Fat wood is any resinous tree that has been allowed to die and concentrate the resin to the left over standing wood. Typically, due the the high amount of resin which is anti-bacterial and anti-fungal it wont rot like other wood with less resin. However, it will fall apart in some areas thus leaving you with small tinder to start fire. Find any old stump of a pine, cut it up into small piece or shards and let it dry out if not already...pack away and you have good fire starter. Pine or Conifers in general are really resinous. This means that when they die, all the moisture leaves the stump and the resin is all that is left over; thus leaving you with a highly concentrated amount of resinous wood. GREAT for primitive fire starting tinder and also to prolong a fire. It makes for good wood to add to your fire dung to ensure that when you are transporting a fire coal it will light up again. WARNING NOTE: Fire tinder from resinous trees should NOT be used in large amounts in home chimneys as the resin will collect along the side and COULD catch fire. This is good for open fires and stoves where the pipes are removed yearly for cleaning.
